?? Eclipse question... where did my classes go??

hi, i am using Eclipse and I ran the Project->rebuild all. When It completed all my
classes had been deleted! What is going on? does anyone know? i am not THAT
worried because my java files are still intact, but it is a bit odd i think.
Any advice? thanks!

Is there any difference to eclipse between classes in
packages and not? I have a project called 'LOG' that

included in a certain other project, but NONE of the
classes in the latter project can see any of the
classes in
the LOG project. it is so frustrating since there

be no rhyme or reason to it, other classes can see

LOG contents.
In 'project properties', you can add a 'dependent' project. That project's source, class and JAR files will then be included in the target project.
Also, i did notice one problem i had was that in
this new
release of eclipse they added a 'src' and 'bin'
folder to
each project folder, presumably to keep your class
and
java files seperate. I had to tell each project to
look in its
root directory for that stuff. Anyways, it works on
some but
not on all. Any other advice ?
For a web application, you source files should go in 'src' or 'source'. Your class files should go in WEB-INF/classes. I'm not sure what you mean by 'root'. You should have packages, unless your application is extremely small.

Generally it is not possible to download anything from a web site when using an iPhone, so if you were just using Safari, you probably didn't actually download the track but just played it from the web site. If you used some other app, tell us what app and someone may be able to provide further assistance.

They were setup up when you created the Apple ID. If you don't remmeber them, you can go to appleid.apple.com and reset them there.

I BOUGHT & downloaded MPEG 2 QT component, where did it go?

I bought & downloaded MPEG2 QT component in order to use for editing video from a DVD with home movies that had been converted from tapes. When I put on computer it was .cdr which could not be used in iMovie. I need to convert to one that will work. I also got MPEG Streamclip, both on advice from a forum discussion. My question is, where did it go on my computer? I have searched with Spotlight & it wasn't found.

Then it would appear that you indeed have the correct component installed in the proper location.
I then brought up MPEG Streamclip beta & put my DVD in drive. I found Video_TS folder & dragged the .VOB files into Streamclip & when finished, I used FILE/Export using QT to convert files to Apple Intermediate Codec Component (which I saw in Library/QuickTime & also Apple MPEG2 codec.component). I chose to rename file clip & saved it. I opened iMovie & tried to import the file I just saved but they were gray, not black & would not import.
Made a quickie clip of what I do in MPEG Streamclip. Basically, this includes:
1) Dropping one or more non-zero VOB file for a single or multiple titles to the main MPEG Streamclip window.
2) Fix timecode breaks and set in/out points if needed.
3) Select desired export settings (in this case AIC video at 80% quality with uncompressed audio using default settings).
4) Set name and path for target output file.
When the conversion is finished, I test playback in the QT 7 player and add the file to iMovie if needed. Here is a 4 minute video I made minutes ago demonstrating my work flow. If you can't do this, then there is either problem with your computer, its software configuration, or Lion OS 10.7.4 has broken the normal work flow and this is yet another issue with the latest update to be reported to Apple.

Quick question, where to put global variables

Very quick question:
where is the best place to put global variables,
(e.g. a flag that turns on debug mode)
if they are needed by the entire application?
I'm guessing they should be placed in their own class.
But should I make them public static final constants,
and just do Globals.MYCONSTANT
OR should i do "implements Globals" in all my other classes?
The first way seems simpler and more logical,
but in the examples for JSDT, they use the second technique.
Any thoughts?

I would suggest either creating a properties file for your globals, or adding them to the system properties at startup. Placing items like debugging tags in your code means that you have to change the code, recompile, and rejar before your change is implemented. Using system properties means that you simply have to change your command-line options (i.e., from -Dmyapp.debug=true to -Dmyapp.debug=false).

Where are Java classes in Forms running

I've got a question concerning the architecture of Java in Forms.
There are two possibilities to deploy Java classes for the use in Forms:
1. As a jar archive, defined in formsweb.cfg
The archives definied in parameter archive_jini are downloaded when the form is called for the first time. The Java class is then running in a JRE on the client.
2. In the codebase, not archived.
The Java class has to be placed in the Forms codebase (%9iDS_HOME%\forms90\java), with the full package structure (e. g. oracle\forms\demos\beans\Hyperlink.class).
My question is: Where will the class run in the second configuration? I suppose, on the server side. Am I right?

NO in that case it still runs in the browser JVM, using Jars or classes in this case only effects the downloading and caching - not the execution location.
Java code is only executed on the application server if you have used the Java importer feature to create PL/SQL stubs.

Bonjour... where did it go?

Recently purchased the Airport Extreme wireless router. When I went to set up my USB printer, the directions said to enable Bonjour. For some reason, i can't locate Bonjour on my system, even after searching in Finder.
Where did it go, and if it's gone, how do I go about reinstalling it? I haven't had success in locating a Bonjour download for Mac, found Windows... no Mac.
Any ideas?

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Then we'll have a better idea.
