Eclipse + terminal plugin ?

Hi, I'm useing eclipse for programming microcontrollers, PIC from microchip. But I would like if there were any plugin or setting (have not found any so..) maybe plugin so that I could get an shell from inside. Just to typ in the command to the programmer...
Or this might be a long shot but is it any way that you can make a button thats runs a bash script then its clicked? (just a thought, would be nice)

Yeah I'm not stupid.. haha I'we have looked at that plugin it seems like its not 100% tested for linux... Some guy wrote very bad about it that it was not working on linux... Thats why I tied the question here since I'm new to eclipse and I might have missed some basic thing that would help me out.. But thanks anyway.. I'll try it!

Yes, there are some things that do UML 1.x and integrate decently (though all are memory hogs from my experience), but nothing really slick that competes with the commercial offerings. Hopefully, some of the projects here will reverse engineer in the near future. The lack of this feature baffles me, since Eclipse already has a meta-model of Java source and compilation results.
2) Which is the best Business Rule engine which can used?
Drools is an excellent option, as Gimbal indicated.
Please clarify the above questions.

Eclipse ADT Plugin not visable SOLVED

just updated my system; which updated eclipse. Now my AndroidDevelopementTools plugin won't start/show. I tried reinstalling it and I run eclipse as root.

Theme broken after update - Need Eclipse ThemeEditor Plugin for NW7.1

Hello,
we're actually upgrading our system from NW700-15 to NetWeaver 701-03(EHP4). We don't use a sap-portal, so we have to create our custom themes / stylesheets with the ThemeEditor Plugin for eclipse.
I think our current stylesheets were created with the theme editor plugin for NW04SStack13Themes or NW04SStack14Themes. I'm not sure at the moment. But this version works with our old release.
Now, after upgrading to NW7.1 SP3 our WebDynpro Applications (ABAP) are completely broken, by using our own stylesheets.
Remembering that for each stack, a sperate ThemeEditorPlugin is required, i searched for the right plugin to recreate our stylesheets.
But I can't find a download for the Eclipse ThemeEditor Plugin for NetWeaver 7.1 (SP3) ?!?!? (Only NW2004s SP 7-14, which are not the one i need)

Extending CR4E using Eclipse RCP plugin's

Hi Sean,I have not started checking this for myself, so this question is more theoretical.I plan to customize and extend CR4E using Eclipse RCP plugin architecture. The two main requirements are to add a custom data-source type/provider to the report wizard, and to add a custom result-set wrapper for the said data-source. Other requiremnets may be more look&feel related.Assuming licensing issues are met, I had a few questions.1. Are there suitable extension points for this in CR4E2. Unfortunately, developing against these extension points is not currently supported. We definitely plan to support building against these extension points in the future, but in the initial release this was just not in the timeframe. The extension points are likely to change in future releases and we didn't want to be bound to the initial definition released in version 1. AIRIntrospector not working in Eclipse/Flex plugin

I am trying to debug my javascript. I have an AIR application
and am running it inside Eclipse with the Flex plugin. My
application main file is mapit.mxml. It uses a mx:html widget to
grab map.html. Inside map.html is the javascript I want to debug,
so I put in the <script type="text/javascript"
src="AIRIntrospector.js"></script> inside map.html and
copied the AIRIntrospector.js into my src directory.. When I debug
mapit.mxml, I keep getting the followign error message no matter
what I do:

I have same problem but not able to solve it.
I was running elcipse 3.7.x with ADT plugin without problems.
after eclipse update to 4.2.1 I am not able to use ADT. Eclipse is saying that it is installed but could not find anything from it in enviroment.
I did reinstall eclipse and eclipse-emf eclipse-gef eclipse-wtp and follow http://developer.android.com/sdk/instal … g-adt.html but not sucess. Later I did find this https://developers.google.com/eclipse/d … clipse-4.2 but it is still same. ADT is installed but cannt use it.

RCPTT Eclipse Mars Plugin NullPointerException

I can see that Eclipse Mars has RCPTT with it, as given in https://projects.eclipse.org/releases/mars .
I downloaded Mars M6 from http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/S-4.5M6-201503200800/ and tried to install RCPTT plugin from http://download.eclipse.org/rcptt/release/1.5.5/repository/ Update site. From Installation details I can see that RCPTT 2.0 is installed.

I have attached the screen shot (Method1.PNG)
I then tried the method to go to RCPTT prespective and try to create a RCPTT project and record a test. That time a new error came, which is given in screen shot (Method2.PNG)
The Application for both the above two methods are chosen by the following steps.
Run the application which need to be tested using RCPTT. Save the run configuration as a .launch file.
Go to Run Configuration > Create New Eclipse Application under Test.
Choose the .launch file in target and click Run.
This new Run Configuration will be seen in Applications tab in RCPTT perspective.
Is this method right? However there is another option in Applications tab in RCPTT perspective. There I can add a new application by right click New and select the application. Whenever I try to select the application, it says "Invalid product location". I am selecting the location of the .product file. I tried to choose other locations like .target, etc as well. The message "invalid product location" did not go. Do I have to try this method as well? I think it need to provide me something same as the above method with I have mentioned.

I have an identical problem with Papyrus project. I used Oomph setup to configure the workspace of my IDE and I installed RCPTT plugins from the Eclipse Mars update site (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars).

I added in attachment the Papyrus Launcher configuration and the AUT Launcher configuration. I wanted to attach the aimed target file but this one doesn't exist in .metadata folder.
The used target platform with my IDE is a Targlet which is created by Oomph.

Unable to install Eclipse BPEL Plugin

I am running 3.1.0 version of Eclipse.
When I install BPEL Eclipse Plugin, it is complaining I am not running 3.0+version of Eclipse, which is not true.

This happens if you do NOT have the SDK version of eclipse. Please make sure that you are running the complete sdk version. -Edwin

Developing an Eclipse RCP Plugin Project with CE and NWDI

Hallo,
I want to know what's the best way to create an Eclipse RCP application and have the sources managed by the NWDI.
My problem is that development components within a software component can only be plain java projects and not plugin projects. Now I can convert a plugin project to a development component but when I try to build this dc it fails because the needed libraries for this origin plugin project (Plug-In Dependencies) are not available because is it now just a plain java project.
However I could create another dc with the needed libraries and add this dc as a required dc but then it is not the same as a standard plugin project and I don't know if that could create problems then.
In case anybody knows how to solve this problems, please give me a hint.

I fixed the java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError problem in the Eclipse 3.1 Plug-in: in the Run > Environment, set the CLASSPATH variable to the directory containing the target program's package hierarchy. Now the Trace program runs ok when invoked from the plug-in.
However, when I repeated the same configuration in Eclipse 3.0.2, I got the following runtime error.
Unhandled event loop exception
Reason:
com/sun/jdi/connect/VMStartException
Isn't Eclipse 3.0.2 supposed to behave in the same way? Any help will be much appreciated!

Deploy eclipse baded plugin using web satrt

Hello,
I have an eclipse plugin that I am trying to deploy online. I found some instructions online but they are not clear.
There are 3 jar files that correspond to 3 eclipse plugins (that correspond to a tool I developed) and a feature.xml.
How do I combine these together?
Do I need to make one common jar file of all the three jar files and then make a JNLP and deploy it?

Once the JWS downlaods all the jar files, it says Starting Application but nothing happens ;-<

Eclipse Profiler Plugin

Does any one try to profile application on Sun Application server with this Plugin? Because when I try the app server (version 8.0.0_1) hangs with no message.

There is no official plugin for Eclipse and I haven't seen any hint that there will be. Any plugin support will come from third party providers, like is usually the case for Eclipse. The Google search I did for you seems to hint that this is your best bet for now:

I'm under a big pressure in ordrer to adopt Eclipse.
I like very much ADF and I don't like to loose theese functionalities.

Wasn't there a comparison of speed of IDEs some months ago, where the Eclipse-based IBM IDE pretty much came in last? Or did I imagine that?
Maybe it would have been wiser to wait for the finished product, instead of comparing Eclipse with an EA version!?
I remember a comment that Brian Duff posted in one of his blog entries more than a year ago (and I actually looked it up again so that I can quote it here):
Java is all about choice. That's what distinguishes it from .NET. As a Java developer, you can choose which Java IDE is best suited to your needs.
A lot of people like Eclipse, but there are a substantial number of people who use something else. That's good and healthy: the competition gives rise to innovation. Just look at how features like refactoring have been at the core of many Java IDEs for years, and how Microsoft is only now catching up with these innovations in Whidbey (VS.NET)
I couldn't agree more. In other threads I read some comments that Oracle should give up JDeveloper and "jump on the Eclipse band wagon".
No, they shouldn't! It's good to have a choice, and the current trend of giving up IDEs and shifting everything into the Eclipse direction is plain stupid. Do we really need another monopoly?! Competition is good.
And this SWT thing ... don't get me started.
So instead of criticising Oracle for holding on to JDeveloper, people should be thankful instead. Should Oracle give up one of the key advantages of JDeveloper (the ADF integration)? Now, that would be stupid. Did the Eclipse people program code refactoring extensions for JDeveloper when they were needed? No!? Hmmm ... I wonder why.
Why would we want to switch to Eclipse? Just because Eclipse has some "coder goodies" that JDeveloper hasn't? We started with JDeveloper 9.0.2 and I can tell you, this IDE was pretty basic in the "coder goodies" department. We chose JDeveloper anyway, and we didn't regret this step --- not for one minute. Because JDeveloper isn't just about raw Java coding. JDeveloper truly is the Swiss-Army-knife of IDEs.
Of couse, if you do a lot of screwdriving, a Swiss-Army-knife is probably not the best choice. You choose a real screwdriver instead for that task (that would be Eclipse, a golden screwdriver!).
But if you do a lot of different things, and you need a set of tools integrated and working well together, well then it's the Swiss-Army-knife for you.
(Damn, did I just come up with this brilliant allegory, or did I read it somewhere?)

Well, that's what JSR198 would be good for, isn't it. Oh wait, I believe the Eclipse guys are not participating there and will keep their own plugin model. Or am I wrong?

How to extending CR4E from Eclipse RCP plugin's

I want to create a eclipse RCP application which will extend CR4E and let me create my own wizards for data source customization.
I read it from crystal report for eclipse 2.0 guide that RCP and CR4E support possible but please let me know how ? and is ther any material or sample for this? any where?

I want to create one RCp application . which will invoke the custom plugins created by exteding eclipse extension pionts. Is it possiblle to invoke these eclipse plugins inside RCP applications. So that I can invoke my custom eclipse designer having custom data source and few more branding wizards ,inside RCP standalone application?
If yes , Please kindly refer how and which material describes this?
