I don't know anyone called "u plz", very weird name...
But I can tell you no version of Eclipse is good, though most are better than Netbeans and all are better than BlueJ.So now jwenting wants to pick a fight ;)
The answer to the question which has been given is the latest version is best. Given only the choice (which is stupid) of 3.1 or 3.2 go with 3.2. But as stated here 3.4 is out.

  • Which version is good ??

It's been a long long time because I was still using Premiere elements 2.0.  But
the old computer eventually crashed and replace it with a new and hopefully more powerful to indulge in moving making.
So this new monster has 8bg RAM 64-bit Windows 7, AMD Athlon II x 4 635 Procesor of 2.9Hz.  I haven't visited this site for the longest time.  But maybe someone can recommend which PE I should buy.  My new camcorder that should in the mail soon is a sony HDR CS550X.  I am only making movies from my own captures of travel and family events.  Any suggestions from you experts will be greatly appreciated. (note:  small budget left after this purchases) :-)

    Lucky you!
Your old PE2 won't edit or make High definition DVDs.
If you can justify the extra expense it I notice there is a consensus in forums that Adobe Pro is better than PE9 (only on a 64bit system)
I notice there are some problems with the trial version of PE9 that might scare some users away.
Regarding Windows 7, this is a but cloudy. I suspect the reported problems are due to other things because the same problems seem to be reported by uses of other OSs or because they are not doing the right thing.
I think the trial version is only useful for users that have no previous experience with a previous Adobe editor and want to get a feel for it rather to evaluate it's stability or speed - especially if not installed as I did (below).
    My experience:
I have been using PE9 with a Sony CX350 for some months (same quality as 550 but less features)
Forget  Standard def. Shoot everything in full AVCHD 1900x1080i The results I  get can only be classed as brilliant - resolution as good as the best  professional stuff you see on full HD TV channels (Sony Bravia 40")  Every single frame is good enough to make a photo of.
I have used PE9 without a single crash and I only have a Core duo 2.4 with 4mb Ram using Windows XP. It is a bit jerky around a complicated effect or transition until you render the area in question otherwise it is very quick and easy to use. You can shuttle up and down and preview a one hour timeline as fast as you can with thumbnails at minimum. I would say PE9 is faster in HD on the above computer than my old PE2 was with SD on a pentium 4.
    3 drives.
At first I had it on one hard drive in the computer (was actually 2 drives in Raid1) and it was very cludgy sometimes waiting for up to 5 seconds before anything happened as I edited.
Following advice on many forums, I un-raided my computer and added another 500g drive so I now have 3 drives.
I now have OS, pagefile.sys and Adove program in disk 1
Store all the project files or anything like cache and preview files that Adobe writes to on disk 2
Have all my video (that is read from) on disk 3
This made a huge difference to the speed of editing AVCHD

  • Which version is good for me to buy? Logic 8 express or Logic studio?

As I said in another post, I did till now all my work in Garageband. I compose mainly classical music for all kind of instruments, I don't do anything with electronic music, nor do I write pop kind of music. What I did in Garageband was setting up my tracks for the orchestra instruments, or solo piano, or chamber instruments, give them a pan position according to the Jam pack orchestra manual, and added at the end of the recording some reverb. The result is mostly good enough but especially for bigger instrumental groups, like orchestra or strings, I am not happy with the result.
This is the reason I am looking around in the Logic 8 world. I want to have better results. My question now is should I buy Logic Studio or Logic 8 express?
What is the difference between the two except the extra jam packs? I already have the Orchestra and voices jam pack and have many orchestral sound fonts that I bought in the past.
Mainstage is meant to be used for stage performence, right? I will never use something like that if it is, or maybe I didn't understand yet what Mainstage is about.
Studio effects: Logic 8 express does also have reverb effect, but are they good enough to make a good classical orchestral recording? Or do I need Studio for this?
Soundtrack Pro 2: A wave editor. This maybe I could use although I never felt the need for this in Garageband. Still, you never know.
SO what do I miss exactly when buying the express version?
Hope to get some advice on this.
    Andr+e

Continue to use GarageBand until some new update for Logic Pro is released because upon opening your GarageBand 09 v5.0.1 projects into Logic Pro 8.0.2 you will receive the message, "Warning! This Project was created by a newer Logic Pro version. This may cause problems. Please update Logic Pro." After I hit "OK", a message says, "Logic Pro: Plug-in “Pedals” not available!, and then "Logic Pro: Plug-in “AmpSim2” not available!
Logic Pro is not for sampling right now because of my experience using it with my Mac Pro (Early 2008) 8 Core 3.2GHz, 32 Gig RAM, and Quadro FX 5600. I told the Apple store sales guy at the Apple Store that I needed comparable hardware and software for my new Mac Pro comparable to my Tascam GigaSampler PC workstation. He also had me get advice from the top trainer for Apple Logic Pro One to One training at their store. I made it clear my needs were to have the same capabilities and performance at that time that are possible with Tascam GigaSampler. The trainer said he sold his PC he used for sampling. So, in order to afford my Mac Pro, I sold my PC. Big mistake. Now I have not been able to continue working on many projects, now in the in-progress archive of mine, that I can not open anymore because Logic will not access even 3 Gigs of memory for projects with the EXS24 or any other sampler for that matter. With my Tascam Gigasampler accessing 16 Gigs was a breeze with no error messages. This enhancement will not be available until some update is released for Logic Pro above version 8.0.2.

  • Could you please suggest me which version is good and Why?

                                                                   1,628,526  = 100,0%
    THANKS IN ADVANCE

Because of the buffering issue, it's difficult to give a good answer. If you just look at run times of database selects, you have to leave enough time between runs for the buffers to be refreshed. Instead, you might want to use transaction ST05 (performance analysis). You can use the explain function on each select to see how efficient (or not) it is. The results returned are calculated by the database and buffering is not an issue. But it may be difficult to compare differnt programs because you may end up trying to compare a lot of selects using a little time each against another larger select that takes longer.
For strictly ABAP processing, this isn't a problem.
What I would do is run each program a number of times one after the other and compare programs based on the least run time of each.
Performance tuning is as much art as science and there are other things to consider as well. For example, a highly tuned program will likely have more code and be more difficult to read and maintain. If the performance savings aren't that great, I would go with the simple program.

  • I need to connect to my work PC remotely from my macbook. I think I need the citrix software. But which version and what is the procedure?

I need to connect to my work PC remotely from my macbook. I think I need the citrix software. But which version and what is the procedure?

Probably don't need citrix software. Is you computer in the office on LAN? Also, is the office computer setup for remote access? If it's windows then its going to be running Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) natively. If it is in fact RDP that your windows machine at work is using then you need to download RDC for mac. I use it to connect to my work computer using RDP (don't tell the "Info Tech" dude at my office) and if your not too tech savvy I would suggest trying GOTOMYPC. It's alot easier to setup. But if you have experience in setting up remote access and your Windows office machine is connected through LAN and your IT TECH has allowed port forwarding then you should be just fine with RDP and it's free!!! But are you logging onto your actual computer at work or logging into the "SERVER" through your work machine... believe me it's two completely different things.
    Basically, you'll need:
    1. Physichal IP address of work computer. (If office computer is on WIFI this won't work) use IPCONFIG commands in command prompt
    2. Port forwarding needs to be enabled by your IT Tech
    3. Remote Desktop settings will need to be enabled on the office computer
    4. Download RDC for mac (search google)
    5. Type the physical IP address into RDC and hit connect... type in credentials and your all done.
We need lots more details though... there are many ways to connect remotely and if your office already has a system in place for remote access then any details would be helpful in determining which method will suit you best. If it's citrix just have your IT dude set it up. If you think you need citrix then good luck....

  • SAP R/3 4.6B is comaptible with which version of BIW

    Hi All,
Can anybody tell me Which version of BIW is comaptible with SAP R/3 4.6B.
    regards,
    Vishal

    Hello!
i think BW has  no dependency with the version of R/3. you can use any of the newer  BW versions with any r/3 versions ,but  needs to take care of version of BW service API in R3.
Posting the same question in 2 forums is not a good idea because we are same in both the forums.
and please make a habit of closing a  thread by selecting the problem solved,if you got the answered so that others can focus on solveing open isues. I am refering to your previous question on CRM cube.

  • PDF Forms - Which versions of Acrobat / Reader do they work in?

I'm trying to persuade a client to start using pdf forms that I've created in the latest Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I've tested the forms using Adobe Reader 8 & 9 on the Mac. The two versions work differently but I've come up with a work-around solution that means I can give the same advice to users of both versions of Reader.
But I could do with knowing if pdf forms work in earlier versions of Acrobat / Reader? Macs & PCs?
And if they don't work, what sort of warning will come up on screen? Ie. Will it say that they need to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader and give a link? - which would be good! Or will some other error message come up that will just cause confusion?
Has Adobe published any advice anywhere?

The Forms Creation where you use filliable forms that can be saved and attached to email, (500 returns max - using the Advanced > Extend Features in Reader). Works also in version 7 or reader. Nothing below 7 will work.

  • When opening a Photoshop file with Bridge, how can I control which version of Photoshop the file wil

When opening a Photoshop file fthrough Bridge, how can I control which version of Photoshop the file will open in?
I store my PSD files adjacent to the original RAW file from which it was derived.
If I open the file folder and double click on that PSD file, it opens in CS6. But,if I use Bridge (CS6) to navigate to and open the same file, it first opens Photoshop CS5 and then opens that PSD file in CS5.
How can I control which Photoshop will open a file I select when opening it through Bridge?.

Interesting, but it doesn't give a clue what I'm supposed to do. No Photoshop ducuments listed.
Look at the PSD file on the location Curt provided and search for Photoshop Document. Next to it ideally should show Adobe Photoshop CS6 if you have Bridge CS6 open. Click on it to provide the fly out menu and choose the correct Photoshop from the list.
But probably something went wrong with your install. By default Bridge chooses the latest version of PS to open its file in.
Maybe a reset of the preferences might also help you. Can you provide more details about OS version etc.
And do you have a good reason for keeping your Raw and finished files in the same location. Personally I keep them apart and use a proper file name convention (yyyymmdd and details) so I can easily search for the DNG files in my archive if I needed them but I don't make mistakes in opening the wrong one

  • Which version do I have and why can't my autolevel photos be read by other programs?

As a newbi, although I've used PSE for a long time, I know almost nothing about it.
I can't even find out which version I have. Under HELP it only says Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Nearest I can find is a copyright of 1989-2001.
I am using Windows XP Home, but PSE thinks it Windows 2000. I just noticed that most plug-ins are Ver. 6.0
My main problem is I just recently used PSE to AUTO LEVEL some JPG's and did some brightness/contrast
enhancements on other JPG's. Those JPG's cannot be read on either of my DVD players (saved to a CD) or in other software.
They are still visible using PSE and MS preview. Even Nero Smartstart can't open them.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Bob
    Thanks for the reply.
First I'm using a FujiFilm camera, FinePix S700. One of the programs that
can't read the enhanced photos by PSE is their own FinePix Viewer V5.3.07E.
I've tried creating another CD using the progarm NERO, which can read the
    enhanced photos, but
those photo's won't open in my Panasonic DVD player either. Untouched photos
open just fine on the DVD player.
I've looked at HELP and all it says is Adobe Photoshop Elements. Another
person from the forum says I have PSE 1.
I'm about to call Adobe, but I dread that as my hearing isn't that good
anymore if you know what I mean. I thought about upgrading as I obviously
have a very old version, but didn't get very far using the Adobe website.
    Hence the upcoming phone call.

  • Which version of Dreamweaver should I be learning. CS6 or CC? Why are they different?

Which version of Dreamweaver should I be learning. CS6 or CC? Why are they different?  I am learning CS6 in school, I wanted to practice at home so I joined Creative Cloud.  Although both versions are available,  I understand that the DWCC is the most recent version and CS6 will be faded out.  I'm half way through CS6 and now see there are a lot of differences in the format of CC.

Jon has the best answer here, though nancy's absolutely correct. I have seen no instruction manuals for the Creative Cloud version of Dreamweaver.
Fact is, while there are differences, if you learn CS6, Creative Cloud won't be too much of a stretch. I would suggest that there are lots of differences between Dreamweaver MX (released 29 May 2002) and Creative Cloud (released this year). So, if you're looking at an old MX tutorial, it's probably a good idea to purchase a different book and tutorial.
Dreamweaver is, essentially, a code editor. This is absolutely crucial for you to understand. It's not like Adobe's InDesign, a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG page layout tool. The Worldwide Web is entirely based on HyperText Markup Language, which is in its 4th version, with a 5th proposed and on the cusp of being agreed to. Dreamweaver started supporting HTML5 with CS 5.5 (version 11.5).
So, if what you do is go out and buy books on HTML 4, XHTML and HTML5, you will be learning what is really required in Dreamweaver. As to the Dreamweaver interface, it's a bunch of panels that can, pretty much, be ignored. If you edit in Split View, you will see your web page as you build it (but it won't really be correct unless you switch to Live View, which does not update as you edit). And you still have to check everything out in a browser (two or three would actually be good).
So, do your tutorials on CS6 because they'll pretty much give you a good enough idea about how Dreameaver CC works, but learn HTML and CSS. Otherwise, you'll find yourself hopelessly lost.

  • Which versions of firefox to test

Does anyone know of a resource that will list what the significant differences are between Firefox browser versions? I'm trying to figure out which versions need to be tested with a web site in order to provide good coverage and confidence that most firefox versions will work correctly with the site.

hello, for a general overview you could refer to the developer release notes of each firefox version: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox/Releases

  • Which version to download

Hi, I used to have wlp10.3.4 on windows vista and oepe are installed with portal. Now I need to move to windows7 which is 64bit. Since the wlp generic install doesn't have jdk and oepe, I installed jdk (160_21 the same verison as the one in wlp10.3.4) already. I am looking for the oepe to download, which version is the closest to the one bundled in wlp? I saw Eclipse 3.7 (Indigo) and Eclipse 3.8(Juno). Thanks

Installers with Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Coherence and Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse Windows x86 with 32-bit JVM, which should run on 64 bit Wndows 7.

  • Which version of Oracle database is best for Windows 7 Home Premium?

Any input as to which version of Oracle database is best for Windows Home premium? Is there a major difference between the express edition and 10g itself as far as the interface/learning purposes goes?

    EssbaseApprentice wrote:
Any input as to which version of Oracle database is best for Windows Home premium? That's easy to answer, none . No oracle database version was released for Home(Premimum) series. There are several blog posts/articles which do mention that they have installed oracle releases over Home(Premium) platforms but whether it would work or not, it would be just a lottery and help regarding troubleshooting would not be there.
Is there a major difference between the express edition and 10g itself as far as the interface/learning purposes goes? You mean 10g Express Edition and 10g Enterprise, Standard Editions? If yes, then there is indeed difference. The Express edition is more like a developer's playground with a good looking GUI even there to administer it. EE or SE are the production releases , meant for being used in a very busy, highly concurrent environments. There would be additional features like RAC and Dataguard that would come with EE and wont be there in the XE. So if you are learning to become a production DBA, you should right away use EE or SE IMO .
