ECM Planning-error in Employee profile view

Hi,
When i try to view an employee profile from Compensation view of MSS, i am getting the following error.
Salary Development: An error occurred while the data was read
I could see some data under other tabs like-Comp Guidelines,LTI,comp eligibility. But under SALARY DEVELOPMENT and SALARY SURVEY DATA, its showing as "no data available"
We did not configure any job pricing data.Is this related to that config???

I also checked the SAP Note 1690334. But that error describes another error message.
I dont have any problem to create another relational connections like ERP6 or OLAP connections to connect BW.
Just having problem with SAP Netweaver BW JCO one.

Hide Overview & Miscellaneous from Employee Profile in Team View

If I delete compensation field from here, will it get deleted from ESS Employee short Profile as well.??

Have you profiled this data before? I looks from the error messages as if data rules are being applied to the tables and those rules are failing due to datatype mismatches?No, this is the first time that we have run profiling.
The first error implies the table/view is no longer present in your schema. The error implying the table/view is no longer there is odd because the tables were not manually deleted and in fact I checked after the failure and all the tables are still there...
Are you creating a completely new data profile module? Yes, this is a completely new data profile module.
Are your re-running the profiling having made changes to the data rules or profiling options? No, this is the first run.

MSS Employee Profile

Hello,
We are implementing MSS on Portal. When a Manager views the Employee Profile for a particular employee and goes to Miscellaneous Tab -> Organizational Assignments -> History it shows the Manager's Communication information like Phone Number and Email Address.
It should display employee's communication data instead.
Any help would be highly Appreciated.

Exclude Managers and others in ECM Planning and Approval Iviews

Hi All,
In the planning iviews, we would like to restrict based one the following conditions,
Manager -Level1 logs in and plans for
1) Employees directly reporting to him(includes managers of sub org units too)
2) And those who come under the sub org unit of the Manager's Org Unit.
for the second point , if the sub org units have Managers of A012 , then those employees should not be displayed(obviously becoz their managers have the rights )
In the Approval Iviews, we would like to restrict based one the following conditions,
Manager -Level 2 logs in and approves
1) The Planning done by Manager Level 1
2) Should not plan for the second level
We have checked the Exclude managers check bos in the rule selection and tried using the HRWPC_EXCL_MANAGERS BADi.
This BAdi would affect other i views where this employee search is used.
Could you suggest ??

Hi G,
The approval Iview is altogether different. The compensation adjustments eatrlier submitted by the line manager would be automatically available for the Higher / Approving manager and hence there is no question of Employee selection views in approval phase.
And with respect to difference MSS_ECM_SEL_LIS - Employees from org.units and MSS_ECM_SEL_TRE -Employees from org.structure;
Employees from org.units lists the entire list of employees directly from all the subordinate org.units but there is no org.unit reference but
Employees fropm org.structure lists the subordinate org.units first in the data provider and you can select an individual org.unit or all org.units & sleect "GO" button to view the employees list.

UI5 Employee Profile Issue

I am trying to activate SAP UI5 services from Ehp 7 on a sandbox but when I execute employee profile application from SE80 I am just getting a blank page. So far only leave request application worked file. All other ESS and HRPAO applications are not working properly. Either they are coming up blank or incomplete. We are on SAP Ehp7 SP 21.
I am not sure where the issue is. I did debug for many hours but still not able to get past this. Help is much appreciated. I have completed the following setup.
1. All the required odata services and SICF nodes have been activated.
2. SAP NW Gateway is on the same instance as the ECC. SAP system alias in table /IWFND/V_DFSYAL looks like below. "ABC" RFC dest is setup correctly as type 3.
SAP System Alias Local GW For Local App RFC Dest Software Version
ABC ABC /IWSPI/BSFND_731
3. Under SPRO-->SAP Netweaver-->Activate and Mantain Services - all the services have been activated and system alias shows up as ABC.
After completing these steps only the leave request app is working correctly. All other UI5 applications are not working.

thanks Siddharth...I have IE 9 but as you mentioned I tried in google chrome and got the same result. I have gone through the thread you gave before. I do have all the relevant config_id and parameters are set.
However my user does not have any of the UI5 delivered roles for Emp, Manager and HR prof. I am executing these applications at this moment from SE80. Do I still need to assign all the relevant UI5 roles? I didnt do this since leave request was working okay for me. Eventhough its sandbox there is too much hassel for getting the roles change but I do have a meeting with our security team member to grant me some additional access. I will repost when I have those assigned.
I checked the error log using /IWFND/ERROR_LOG and see the below error.
"Data Provider implementation 'ZLAUNCHPAD_0001_BE' '01' '/IWSPI/BSFND_731' does not exist"
but I do see the relevant service under netweaver gateway...maintain/activate services.

Error message 'Employee ID Missing'

You receive error message 'Employee ID Missing' while assigning credit card expenses in an Expense Report and then the user is not able to save the Expense Report.
This error message "Employee ID missing" unfortunately will appear when you open some of the old expense reports. These expense reports are consistent and do not have to be changed. The upcoming error message "Employee ID missing" can be ignored.
SAP has corrected this issue and for all new expense reports this error will not appear.
PS: If you have to change one of these old expense reports from business point of view, you can delete and reenter the cost assignment on expense level in order to get rid of this error message.

I have checked this but there is still the error message with the users. The org. unit is ok. Is there any note that can be applied so that when move users to another org. unit the error messages do not occur?

Error in uploading profile

Friends,
I am trying to create a new Org in the Portal.So In the psconsole I downloaded the "enterprise sample" display profile and then I try to upload the display profile to my new org.
It gives the error:
Upload Display Profile Error
Upload Display Profile Failed. Please check the portal debug logs for more details. View console logs for details. For additional information, view admin logs.
Also in the logs i see
DesktopService not assigned to this dn : o=DavRx,dc=dav,dc=corp
Can anybdy tell me whats the issue?
I actually did the same thing earlier(a month back) and I was able to do so successfully.But I am not sure why its not happening now.

Looks like the portal desktop service is not assigned to the org o=DavRx (if that is the org which you created)
1. Login to amconsole (access manager console)
2. click on your organization
3. select services from the "view" dropdown
4. click on "Add" button and add portal desktop services (you can also add all the services)
Now login to psconsole -> portals tab -> click on your portal -> add your org using "Add Dns" button and then select it from the select DN listbox and set the ParentContainer, EditContainer and Desktop type if it is already not inherited from its parent.

On the employee profile panel, the telephone and sec. phone fields are showing "n/a". Is telephone not being read from infotype 105 subtype 0020?

I assume that you talk about the OrgChart module in OrgModeler (not the Scenario module)?
This data is returned in the NakisaRFC function SAPPositionIncumbentDetails.xml. It uses the following keywords that can be displayed and changed in the Data Center (ABAP Add-on Keywords).

If these are correct but you are not getting the information then check the cds.log file to see if there are any errors.

Remove "Extended Employee Profile" Bar

Hi,
I am trying desperately to remove the "Extended Employee Profile" Bar in the Position Details view for OrgChart (sp2). I have secured all items within it but the bar remains in the details panel.

Hi Rob,
There are 2 secured items that most of the roles have called EmployeeDetailInfo. These should be removed from your roles to disable access to the Extended Employee Profile. If you can't do this in the AdminConsole then edit Roles.xml in the ..\<build\.delta\Security folder and comment out or delete the elements with this name, for example:
<element>
     <type>DetailsSection</type>
     <objectname>SAPPositionEmployeeDetailsConfiguration</objectname>
     <name>EmployeeDetailInfo</name>
</element>
There should be an element for objectname SAPPositionDetailsConfiguration and an element for SAPPositionEmployeeDetailsConfiguration in each role that has access to the Extended Employee Profile.

ERec : Send Education Infotype from Employee Profile to eRecrecruiting

We are planning to use the Employee profile WebDynpro Application HRTMC_EMPLOYEE_PROFILE
for employees to maintain their background data like education and experience. We are using eRecruiting tool since a long time and we plan to migrate Education data from infotype 5104 to infotype 7404 using the standard migration program RPTMC_TP_SYNC_EDU_WE_RCF.
Then, our plan is to let employee to maintain education only from Employee profile and send all update to eRecruiting. Education data will only appear in display mode in eRecruiting. Is there any standard ALE interface to send infotype 7404 to 5104 ? If not, is it plan in future released to provide such interface?

Hi there,
at the moment you can just copy from e-recruiting to TMC. A back transfer to e-recruiting is not possible.
Also be aware that this report is just to be meant for an initial copy.
Therefore you should deactivate education and work experience maintenance in e-rec for internals and read the data just for display in the data overview. Otherwise you need to handle you application data completely separated.

Show activities at employee profile

I am starting this discussion because of an SAP incident which I created earlier.
The issue of that incident was that I can not see my activities at the employee profile in SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C; Cloud for Sales).
SAP answered that this is not possible at the moment and also not planned in the next releases.
However I think it would be good to see all those activities at the employee Profile.

I think you need to do some changes in your Infoset Query through the IMG path as below,
Employee Self-Service -> Service-Specific Settings -> Address Book -> Who's Who -> Who's Who (ESS) Selection and Output.

MSS: Eventing with Employee Profile/Search

Hi All,
I've followed this blog to event with employee profile iview. In the end, the application does pick the employee selected from Employee Search table, but the issue is, on selecting another employee, the application doesnt pickup the right pernr. The app reacts to the event only the first time when the application starts.
