ECO 5.0 for ECC setup of inistal development according to nte 1017761

Hello all,
I am hoping someone can give me a hand with this. I am following SAP note 1017761 to setup a new enterprise app for my own B2C shop. In the note it says instead of changing the SAP code int he crm/isa/web/b2c and crm/tc/web/core to create your own component and copying the functionality...
Now this is where I am a little confiused... i have created my compoent in teh CUSTCRMPRJ SC one for the isa/web/b2c and another for the tc/web/core, copied the DC's over and made the changes according to the note.
These apps seem to build and deploy without issue... when I go look in the home~imsb2c directory on the server all I see the contents of the isa/web/b2c WAR file b2c/catalog/delaerlocator/mimes but I am missing the admin and other components... so no admin or xcm screens...
I think my used DC are setup correctly but I am not sure where things have gone wrong and SAP seems to be a little light on topic.

I think I sorted it out. I am not sure if I did it correctly but I think I found the note misleading and created the web and tc/core originally in thr CUSTCRMPRJ SC. I re did it and created the customer specific web and tc/core app in the original SC they were found in.
When I did this everything seemed to work out.

Transport for ECC and PI for proxy communication

We have both Outbound and Inbound scenarios between ECC and PI and developed accordingly. We also created both client and server proxy in ECC system. While transporting to the next system is there any dependency that first we need to transport the PI transport and then ECC transport. Or this is totaly independent that ECC transport will create the proxy automatically without having the ESR objects for te corresponding PI system.

There is no rule like first you need to transport PI stuff then Proxy code in ECC.
first you have to establish the connections(proxy communication) in new environment ,after that transport ABAP stuff and PI .
PS: don't forget to register queue's in ECC and PI.

Is this plug-ins really needed for ECC or not , if needed where( which scenario ) they are useful.

Download EhP4 packages for ECC 6.0 including EhP1 for NW 7.0

Hi experts,
I have the following problem. I must update an existing ECC 6.0 system to NW EhP1. I found it is not possible to update only the NetWeaver but the whole ERP 6.0 must be updated to EhP4. The system is registered in Sol. Man. as ECC with no usage types. The MOPZ does not give me the option to download EhP packages neither it shows in the list of SP the latest SPs for ECC 6.0 EhP4/NW 7.0 EhP1. All the upgrade guides state that only MOPZ in Sol. Man. should be used for download because of the delta upgrades and the generated XML file.
Is there any other way to download the EhP4 packages and to upgrade the system except MOPZ and EHPI?

If you have 32 bit system, you can use SAINT to apply EHP4, but you will need XML file from MOPZ anyway. I would suggest you to register your system in SOLMAN SMSY as ERP 6.0 system.

Is Oracle Partitioning req'd in the Source R/3 system for SBIW Setup Table?

We have ECC6.0 as our Source System. My BI team is trying to load 3 years of SALES history into the BI7.0 system, and then the APO system will pull 1 of those 3 years into it. To begin this process, they are using SBIW to Manage the Extract Structures and create the Setup Tables.
I got an alert that these Setup Tables were created with Partitions. We are not licensed for partitioning in our ECC(R/3) system, only in BI and APO.
1.) Is Partitioning really necessary for these Setup Tables?
2.) It appears that the Setup jobs create these tables by default as partitioned? How do I disable or change that?

Yes, i have checked tRFCs and logs , everything looks ok, we are getting expected records in BW but job is not ending in the backend system and BW load is always showing YELLOW.
looks like our developer using custom FM to extract data and i feel that something code issue which is going endless loop. they need to write code to terminate process after last record in the extract process. i will update you once i get root cause of the issue.

You sent only a fraction of the web.xml so I have to make a few guesses...
I'm assuming that the login-config tag is within a web-app tag (otherwise I
think you'd get a parsing error). Did you include any security-constraint
tags? By default, in a webapp everything is publicly accessible. You must
specify which url's are constrained within a security-constraint tag.
See the .../samples/examples/webapp/security/WEB-INF/web.xml file for an
example of this and read the spec at
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_2.dtd (search for
"security-constraint").
If you continue to have problems please repost with a full config.xml.

Each time I open firefox i receive two unwanted pop ups of the "you have chosen to open..." variety. two for firefox setup and one for a word document how do i stop this?

Transfer rules are not exist for ECC Quality source system in BI Dev

I Connected BI Dev system To ECC Dev and installed the sales, purchasing,... data flow, but here i am not getting the quality data to show the reports, to get Quality data I established the connection between BI Dev and ECC QA, while installing the transfer rules for the ECC QA data sources there no transfer rules are exist(only some of them exist) in the business content, but all the update rules,... are exist, when i right on the data source say create transfer rules it is proposing App praposal.
When i select source system as ECC dev while installing the transfer rules i can see all the transfer rules, but when i select source system as ECC QA i can see only some transfer rules.
only problem with transfer rules(some of them exist), for remaining all objects are properly existing in business content for ECC QA source system.

Thanks for the quick reply. We are not moving the stuff to QA. We are only connecting QA ECC system to BI Dev. We already have datasources moved to ECC QA and created source system for ECC QA in BI Dev.
The problem is I am not able to get Business Content transful rule for new source system. We I can find some but not all unlike development.

While releasing the billing doc to accounting we are getting the error Enter a business location
Message no. F5A192
We are working on ECC6 EHP 5 and this requirement is for Taiwan.
I have found the SAP Note; 376018, however this is valid for 4.6c ONLY.
Could you please check and advise is this note is valid for ECC 6 as well. Or do we need to apply any other notes.
Or any other suggestions.

Replication Issue for ECC BP to CRM BP

Hello Experts,
I am trying to Create a BP in ECC with transaction BP, but whenever i save the BP in ECC, the BDOC gets stuck in CRM with the error message that 'Grouping CUBP does not exist',
Everything was working fine before, but recently we had created a copy of Account Group 001 for ECC customer for a Z accoutn group, we made all the required settings in ECC in transaction PIDE and then ran the inital load 'DNL_CUST_KTOKD' the new account group did come over to CRM in table CRMC_T077D and the account group is working fine, the customers created in ECC are getting replicated to CRM, but now the BP created in ECC does not gets replicated to CRM and give the above stated error message in the BDOC.
PLEASE HELP!!

Number Ranges and Groupings   > Define Groups and Assign Numbers Ranges
    > CUBP Grouping could be missing in any one of the systems. Could you please check this.

Data Transfer Toolbox for ECC 6.0

I am on ECC 6.0 and I am trying to install the data transfer toolbox (DTT) for HCM. I installed the ERP05V4.SAR file (which is in the 600-ERP-DATA folder), but there are no DTT tcodes. A colleague of mine told me he has used this in earlier versions of SAP (ECC 5.0) and he installed BPERPVD.SAR (which is in the 500-ERP-DATA folder) and the DTT was installed. So it seems that this does not exist for ECC 6.0, but we need it so I am looking for help!
I downloaded all of these files from OSS-downloads-SAP installations and upgrades-Enter by application group-SAP best practices-Best practices for my SAP all in one-SAP BP for HCM-HCM V1.500-installation.

How to install the ADS for ECC 6.0?

I have few questions before I can start with my problem
1) Is the ADS a part of the WAS for ECC 6.0 ?
2) Is any Ehp available for installing the ADS separately?
My requirement is to have a PDF application run in ECC 6.0 . I have no idea about the architecture like weather it includes the ADS as we have for Java WAS 6.0 SP 14.
What my team is doing is deploying the application in the Java WAS currently. But they need to deploy it to the same server i.e. ECC 6.0.
I would like to know what is the process to install the ADS in ECC 6.0. And if it is already installed then how to configure that.

For running the Adobe application You need to configure some thing in both Java as well as in ABAP stack for that abobe form application to work. You need to do some configuration in the Visual administrator for Java & also in the ABAP stack sidi using your SAP user id line creating ADSUSER , ADS_AGENT user id creation and roles assignment and RFC destination creation etc..
Just refer these documents for the installation and post-configuration of Adobe Document Service on NW2004s.

Probably a poor choice of words. Sorry.
So basically, I have gotten further, but I just noticed related problem.
I'm using the WebServices(WS) 1.0. I insert an account, then, on a separate WS call, I insert my contacts for the account. I include the AccountID, and a user defined key from the Account when creating the Contact.
When I look at my Contact on the CRMOD web page, it shows the appropriate links back to the Account. But when I look at my Account on the CRMOD web page, it shows no Contacts.
So when I say workflow or Best Practice, I was hoping for guidance on how to properly write my code to accomplish all of the necessary steps. As in this is how you insert an account with a contact(s) and it updates the appropriate IDs so that it shows up properly on the CRMOD web pages.
Based on the above, it looks like I need to, as the next step, take the ContactID and update the Account with it so that their is a bi-directional link.
I'm thinking there is a better way in doing this.
Here is my psuedocode:
AccountInsert()
AccountID = NewAcctRec
ContactInsert(NewAcctRec)
ContactID = NewContRec
AccountUpdate(NewContRec)
