ECourse radio buttons dont work when published as a HTML file

Hi Guys
We are creating some eCourse's in Captivate 7 but when they are published in to HTML format the radio buttons don't work - they wont let you click them. (Have tried IE, Chrome and Firefox)
However is you publish the course as swf it works fine - unfortunately the web provider we upload to doesn't support swf so they NEED to be HTML
Any ideas on a fix? We did a chat session to a support guy and he said as a workaround copy all slides to a blank project and publish that which we have done today and the same issue has is there.

I am assuming you have Windows 7 and you have SP1 installed
As a testing, please follow these steps :
1) Close Adobe Captivate 7
2) Go to this location : C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Adobe
3) Rename "Captivate 7.0" folder to "1234"
4) Launch Adobe Captivate 7
5) Open any of your projects and then republish it.
If issue still occurs, share one of your project with me ([email protected])

Which buttons dont work when you run windows xp

the keyboard for a mac and a pc are kinda different. are there ne buttons that dont work when you run xp with bootcamp?

Only one I can think of (if you're using the latest version of Boot Camp) is the "delete" key won't act as "delete" (such as in ctrl + alt + delete) under Windows. Other than that, every other key should function correctly. (The Apple/CMD key will work as the "Windows key." And the "option" key will be "alt."

Buttons containing URL's dont work when published.

I am using Captivate 3 and when publishing a project as an swf any buttons which include links to external URL’s don’t work.
When the buttons are clicked on in the browser nothing happens, the URL’s seem to have been lost. Other buttons in the project which navigate to other slides carry on working, only external URL buttons have stopped.
Could anyone please help me with this?

Drag and drop interactivity- do it for me button not working when published to HTML5

I've made a drag & drop interactivity, I am adding a button where the user can get the correct answers for that interactivity.
using advance actions / Standard action / and apply custom effect (right to left ease) in captivate 7.
The problem I'm experiencing is that the button works fine when reviewing as SWF but when I publish as HTML5, it is not running.

Continue Button not working when publishing to swf

I have created a quiz in Captivate and set my pass/fail options to opening a URL on successful completion. I need to publish it in flash (swf) but the Continue button does not open the URL. It works perfectly if I publish the file in .exe format.
Here are my current settings (I've swapped my URL to the BBC website whilst testing)
I am using version 5.5

hi, i have a hp pavilion dv7-1245dx, i format de drive c and install the windows vista 64 in spanish because im in argentina, but before search and install all drivers,my media smart quik lunch button dont't work, I intall all drivers from the hp web, then the media smart button work bad because y install the dvd play and when I push the buttom sound like i push 2 twise and open the dvd play no the mediasmart menu, then i unistall the dvd play, the media samart work good from the computer icon but to the button dont work, sound like two twise again but dont open nothing, y don't know what to do? I unistall and install again all quik lunch buttons and finger print drivers.help me plase, and another thin. when i format i lost the webcam software i would like someone help me to recober it .

I have the exact same problem. I noticed this started after some windows update just prior to upgrading to Windows 7. And then it got worse after the upgrade.
I'm having to go into the task manager and end the smartmenu.exe application just to stop the nagging volume bar across the middle of the screen and just to use the computer, but the Volume still jumps around rapidly.
Please, HP read this and help.

Volume button dont work correctly

I have iPhone 4S on 5.1.1 which I bought in September last year.
Yesterday when I listen to music with my iPhone I found out the the MINUS volume button dont work correctly.
It's need to push him hard to decrease the volume. however the PLUS volume button work correctly.
In addition there is no "click" sound when I press the minus volume button.
what should I do?
I live in ISRAEL and there isn't Apple Store here so the only solution for me is to contact the carrier which I bought the iPhone from them but they probably will require payment for the repair.

Radio button getting unchecked when form in query mode

There are 4 radio buttons on my form.Initially when the form is opened one radio button is checked.But when the form is in query mode that radio button got unchecked.Is there any way that the initial checked radio button remains checked even the form is in query mode ?

Solutions given by Kevin and Zaibiman is not applicable for my form as the radio button will be in data base block only.This is the requirement of the form.
The other solution given by Zaibiman was to set the radio button item when entered in query mode , i have tried that but that is also not working.
Pranati,the solution given by you i have also tried that ,but that has not solved the issue,Radio button get unchecked when eneterd in query mode.
Please elaborate and suggest.

Close window not working when publishing as HTML5 on Adobe Connect using CP8

Hi all,
I'm trying to get a button that closes the project/window at the end of a video. I am using CP8.
I can get it to work when publishing as SWF to Adobe Captivate.
It also works when publishing as HTML5 but not on an LMS (Adobe Connect).
I have tried various methods including
- On success execute a Javascript = window.close()
- On success - exit
- On success execute advanced action = Assign cpCmdExit with 1
I also tried adjusting the slide settings On Exit: exit and the publishing settings Project End Options: Action: Close project.
Nothing works.
Any ideas?

Hi Aimee,
Can you test this to close the course window:
Insert 2 buttons or smart shape used as buttons (as Finish course buttons).
On the first button apply an action to execute javascript and in the script window, use this script: parent.close()
On the second button apply an action to execute javascript and in the script window, use this script: top.window.close()
Upload the published project on your LMS and check if any of these works for you.

Radio Buttons only work after selecting another field

In my Access 2010 database, I have an option group consisting of 3 radio buttons. If I select the first button I Access will allow me, but if I then want to change my selection to the third button I can only do so if I select another field
before I can make the button change. Now, if I want to change my selection again from the third button to the second button, I must select another field then select the second button.
I just can't figure out what is going on here. Does anyone have any clue or explanation that will help me??? Thank you!

I will add that originally this option group of radio buttons was working perfectly fine. This issue surfaced when I included a tab control to the form and moved all the fields onto the first tab.
It seems that having to select another field before changing a radio selection is limited when using the mouse; however, if I use any of the up/down or left/right arrow keys on the keyboard it will change radio button selections without selecting another field
(as one would expect it to).

Probably it has something to do with the focus of the form (first tab) with the radio buttons. Someway that form looses focus when clicking a radio button. By selecting another field the form receives focus again, so you can use the radio buttons again.
You can check it happens in this way.

The buttons dont work on my ipod!!

i have a fourth generation ipod and in the last 2 months the buttons and center button dont work.However i can only change the song by shaking the ipod and when i tilt it the cover flow appears as normal but still i cant work the ipod buttons. i have tried updating and restoring the ipod but this has not worked. any suggestions to what i should try?

POWL buttons dont work

on srm- POWL application many buttons dont work. Im able to see Purchase orders etc., but when i select a PO, the buttons(e.g.: "edit", "change", "disyplay" ) are clickable, but no action follows. A javascript.void() error is shown in the browser.
I analysed the buttons and found out that they try to call the powl (of course). But the http-request receives an http 403 forbidden response. (wether i call on http or https).

Alle connections between enterprise-portal and srm are set up to https and work (checked). Systemaliases checked.
User has SAP_ALL on involved systems, portal roles, and pfcg roles.
RFC connections to erp are checked and work.

You have to check the POWL authorisation for the user
Checking Authorization
Check the required authorizations using the authorization object CA_POWL in the backend system.
In transaction SU03 (Maintain Authorizations and Profiles) double-click the object class AAAB (Cross-Application Authorization Objects) and then select the authorization object CA_POWL (Authorizations for Personal Object Worklist).
The following authorization fields enable you to define complex authorizations in an AND relationship to check whether a user is allowed to perform a certain action:
●     POWL_APPID     Application ID
●     POWL_CAT          Activity
●     POWL_LSEL          Authority state: allowed or disallowed
●     POWL_QUERY     Activity
●     POWL_RA_AL     Authority state: allowed or disallowed
●     POWL_TABLE     Authority state: allowed or disallowed
