Edge Animate CC Installation Failed?

Any ideas as to why I am unable to install this? I have hit Retry many times, it never gets past 42% (picks up where it left off)

Adobe Edge Animate Cloud installation not recognized by Adobe Application Manager
I installed Adobe Edge Animate with a direct download from the website. In order to have it be recognized by Adobe Application Manager, I trashed the App and downloaded it again through the Adobe Application Manager and installed it. After restarting the computer, the Adobe Application Manager still does not recognize the app and it is listed as "Install" Please advice as how to make Adobe Application Manager recognize Adobe Edge Animate so it is listed a "Up to date"?

I don't think your problem has anything to do with you downloading Edge Animate directly from the website. I setup all Creative Cloud programs through Adobe Application Manager on a clean-installed Mac. Everything looked good for a few months but now Edge Animate and Touch Plug-in Apps always show as "Install" in Application Manager. I installed both like 3 times using the application manager (even though I already had them installed) and that made no difference either. I think problem lies in the application manager. Maybe some Application Manager update that was supposed to fix another issue caused this bug. I'm hoping Adobe is aware of this and working on a fix. While it's purely a cosmetic problem, it's quite annoying to see apps already installed showing up as not installed. -
Edge Preview 6 installation fails
Just downloaded Edge Preview 6. When I tried to install it, I got an error message saying it couldn't be installed because I had previous version (version 5). I trashed my Edge Preview 5 folder and restarted. I trashed version 6 I'd just downloaded and downloaded a new version. During "Initialzing Installer" mode I got the following message:
"A conficting or prerelease version fo Adobe Edge Preview exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media."
Suggestions?
Thank you! John HairI just found a forum with this answer. I went to the following: Applications>Utilities>Adobe Installers>Edge Unistaller. Clicked on Edge Uninstaller, let that finish, and was then able to install and launch Edge Preivew 6!

Edge Animate CC will not install
Hi,
I installed Edge Animate CC when I first got Creative Cloud. When I went to use it today, it had disappeared from my applications folder in Mac OSX 10.8.5.
I have tried reinstalling it from the CC Apps manager, but keep getting
"Installation Failed
Errors encountered during installation(7)"
When I click on "More Information" it says:

I tried looking at the forums, and tried a few options that were suggested but without success.

"Installation Failed" error while installing Adobe Edge Animate.
I am having trouble while installing Adobe Edge Animate from Adobe Application Manager. The downloading is always stucked at 1% and after 5 minutes, I get the error "Installation Failed". The screenshot is attached.

Installation Error (7) Adobe Edge Animate - Creative Cloud Desktop Application
I would greatly appreciate help with this, I have scoured the adobe forumns and google and am unable to find a solution. I am trying to download Adobe Edge Animate from the creative cloud desktop application (PC) and it gives me this error

However the more information button does not do anything when clicked. I have had no problems installing my other application, updates and trials with the creative cloud desktop app.
I have ignored this issue for weeks but I have reached the point in a work project where I need to use the program. The Desktop application is up-to-date and I even tried disabling my firewall/antivirus but it made no difference.
Few other details:
I ran the adobe cleaner for CS6 programs before installing the creative cloud.
The program fails at 51% Installation.
Please please please help. Thank you for any information you have and any time you can dedicate to this issue I am having.Thank you Jeff, I followed your directions and may have found the issue yet I do now know how to resolve it.
Some Background:
When I first installed the Creative Cloud Desktop Application a couple weeks ago I had my main hard drive partitioned into C: and D:.
Because of limited space of my C drive I changed the application install directory (in the Desktop App preferences) to D:. Despite this it was still installing all the programs to the C:/default path.
I had posted concerns about this on the forumn after trying restarting and reinstalling yet nothing worked. Despite it listing D: as the install directory it would not install there.
So finally I just decided to unpartition the drive back to only C: Prior to the unpartition I was transfering the conents of D to a seperate hard drive and I changed the preferences back to C: in the Desktop app.
As I was waiting for the files to transfer I decided to start a trial install (as the transfer was taking a while.) Pushing me over the line of frustration into amusment it then proceeded to install to my D: drive. At this point it was just doing the opposite of what I wanted. Regardless I continued with the unpartition and all the applications I have downloaded installed fine since then to my new larger C drive.
When I looked into the error log for the Edge Animate I noticed this

This issue just wont leave me alone.
As I mentioned before the install directory has been set back to C since before the unpartition and all the other programs have installed fine. Are there somewhere that secret preferences are stored? This is all the more unbelievable as I prior to reading your instructions I uninstalled the creative cloud desktop app, ran the adobe cleaner for any pre-CC applications as well as a registry cleaner and reinstalled the Desktop App and tried again.

This is the Dialogue I am presented after every attempt to launch Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014.

I've re-installed Edge Animate several times now, even restarting computer between installs. For whatever reason, whenever Edge Animate is installed, this particular "d3dx9_43.dll" file will not install along with. What can I do? I use Animate frequently enough that this will become an issue if it cannot resolve soon. Please help.Hi,

I've now spent a good 20 hours racking my head and the various settings... and I'm nearly ready to look at Googles HTML5 and web software offerings, which is frustrating since I pay for the Adobe Creative Suite already.
What would I like to do: (I've simplified my overall aim)
Have a non-responve banner, 1200 x 100.
When I scale down my browser window I want one item (i.e. a box) to stay in the centre, even when the rest of the scene has been cut off. (*it does not need to scale)
- I've tried the presets for responsive layout which do nothing when tested in the browser (I'm using Safari, I'll test in others once it works...).
- The scene is set to be centred, which works. The whole scene is centred in the browser.
I've tried setting the Top, Bottom CSS controllers for the object to % which I believe is correct, but still no success...
I've now tried every other variable I can think of with out success using the some what confusing mixture of '%', 'px' and 'auto' settings.
I've also tried the responsive layout presets for a square drawn directly inside of Edge Animate, and an image dropped into the scene, which has more preset options (all of which seem to have little to not effect whether my scene is responsive or not).
Can someone please put me out of my misery and either tell me I'm missing the obvious problem. Or tell me the software is indeed broken at the moment and doesn't like Apple Safari.
And incase your wondering what I want to do... I'm trying to emulate the setup this website has at the top of their website. Where the embedded vimeo player (I've succeeded in doing that in Edge animate... yey) remains centred whilst a foreground layer and background layer change as the browser window is scaled... (they simply get cut off by the browser window scaling, aligned to the left, centre or right they're not responsive...)

JonAnd the saga rolls on. BT called me this morning with another update. Openreach still cannot find my address or my BT phone number / line. It will take another 4 working days for Openreach to contact BT with an update. The BT department who are calling me are the 'fast track' team in Blackburn who I'm afraid to say are anything but. He seemed completely indifferent and thought this was completely acceptable. When I challenged him for an explantion of why more delays, he tried to hind behind the "it is not our fault, it is Openreach" excuse. They sent an email to Openreach last Wednesday 25 July, they received an automated reply on Friday night so too late to do anything until today, and the reply that came back is there is a fault with my address / phone number that they need to fix, which is what I was told last week, and apparently BT cannot phone Openreach, it all has to be done by email. Unbelievable! So the clock starts again from today and the waiting game begins again.

Unable to install Edge Animate via AAM - Windows 8
Hi there,
I am trying to install Edge Animate via Adobe Application Manager... I get an error saying another installer is already running and to wait and try again. Ive checked and does not look like any other installer is running.
Ive also restarted the AAM and tried redownloading/installing Edge Animate, still no go..

Its the only thing I havent tried yet - only because I am working on something at the moment I need to finish. I will try in about 15 - 20 mins and let you know!
EDIT - Thanks for the assistance, has fixed the installing issue, and have managed to install it =)
I did get a string of warnings as follows though, although at present doesnt seem to be affecting the app itself.

Unable to download Edge Animate...
For the past week or so I've been trying to dowload Edge Animate from 'the cloud', taking at look at the software to determine if it's a worthy choice for use within company/projects, but as of yet no such luck!
At first the application manager failed to install so I went hunting for the standalone version which installed with no problems, launched the manager and clicked the 'Install' link next to Animate.
After a lengthy wait stuck at 1% it returns an error - File corrupt/(-60). I've looked online for similar problems and I don't seem to be the only one! I've tried to download Ps and Ai via the manager too and get the same (-60)/corrupt file error each time. I haven't downloaded any previous demo versions to current PC so can't see there being any conflicts.
The machine I'm trying to download to is a works Win7 64 bit PC linked to a typical ethernet network for internet access etc. - I've read a few resonses regarding checking proxies etc. but checked with IT (even they were unable to figure it out) and this shouldn't be a problem. After the initial failure I tried to download it on home Macbook/wifi later that evening and found it all worked and within about 15mins I had the software.
After ths success I wondered if it was something with the works network so asked if there was a laptop I could try over the works wifi, fired it up and was quickily greeted with same issue with auto download of the application manager failing, tried the standalone installer - worked, and then again clicked the 'install' link next to animate to see it fail again at only 1% (file corrupt/-60 error)!
The odd thing is that asking a mac user at work, on the off chance, if they could try the whole process of getting Edge Animate on their machine via the same works wifi saw it successfully download and install!
Is there something up with the Windows version of the application manager? Or ability to download Edge Animate via the manager?

No. Your description is pretty much an indication that your network packets are rewritten and lose their magic, which in turn means they either never leave the building or their sanitized version is not recognized by the Adobe servers. That it works for one user may simply be due to him belonging to a different user group or physical sub-net where this doesn't happen based on your security/ filter rules. So back to another round with your IT department, I suppose...

I checked the program in discussion just for the heck of it and it works. But when using the Adobe applications manager it says not correctly installed. So I don't know what is going on there!
It is just unappreciated to have people like Mylenium give such unhelpful replies to customers who are really keen on learning and using your new products.
(I must probably add that I have tried installing the demo version of Photoshop CS6 when it was just released and caused a serious error. And when I wanted to uninstall it, the uninstaller suggested I use Adobe removal software to remove the demo software... this also did not work properly and I’m still stuck with a error message every time I log on to my windows account)

Hi @TStanwood, it's possible, but the only way to do it is if you host your files on Adobe CDN or if you host it on your own server and then display an iframe with the index file in Webflow.
That's the way to do it before we allow for hosting of non-image files on Webflow.
After you have them hosted on your own server you can follow these instructions found on the Adobe forums:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1166851

Is there a better way to deal with Edge Animate CC's library management?
I haven't been using Edge Animate CC for very long, but I already have a huge list of complaints. Although I could go into detail about features that seem to be missing from my version of Edge (just a quick example, all of the tutorials I've seen have a quick code insert feature on the right side of the code dialog box that my version doesn't seem to have, or even have the option for turning on), right now I want to focus on Edge's HORRENDOUS LIBRARY MANAGEMENT.
So I created the following animation which I have put into an iframe:
The issue I had on the first draft of this project was that I (perhaps naively) thought that there would be an option to actually re-size the pictures on export. There wasn't, and so my original version was really, really large, took way too long to load, and needed to be updated. For the second version, I reduced the size of the pictures and made them JPEG files (some of the originals were - quite unnecessarily - large PNG files) and reduced the quality so that they were all under 10KB. Of course, I had to rename the files and re-import them to Edge's library. This is where my problems started.
You see, edge will put the files into a folder marked "images" when you publish them in a folder, so I just assumed (NOT UNREASONABLY) that the resulting animation would pull from the images folder. It worked fine in the preview, so I pushed it via FTP, only to find that all of the original files (which were not in the new animation) were pushed to the new "images" folder. The only library management that you get in Edge is apparently looking for the file in the folder you designate as the "Library" folder, so deleting these images out of the "Images" folder makes not one bit of difference. That should have been my first clue that something was rotten in Denmark, to use a Shakespearean metaphor. After removing these files and publishing my banner again, suddenly the new images weren't showing up. They were clearly in the "images" folder on the FTP server, but they weren't showing up in the animation. So I inspected the banner on the site, only to find that rather than point to the images folder, they are in fact pointing to the library folder. WHY DO THE PUBLISHED IMAGES POINT TO THE "LIBRARY" FOLDER THEY WERE PULLED FROM INSTEAD OF THE "IMAGES" FOLDER THAT THEY'RE PUBLISHED TO? I added a new file tree that mimicked the folder structure and put the images in a mock "library folder" and now the animation works again.
The library management in this program is just plain awful (I can't stress this enough), making it a chore for experienced users and a red-hot rage-keyboard-pounding mess for everyone else. And the worst part, there doesn't seem to be any explanation from Adobe on why it is this way.
I am really not looking forward to the next time I have to use this program at work.I'm not sure that's any easier. It would be nice if Edge gave you a(n obvious) way to re-link files, but it even fails in that respect.
What would be better is if I could just point Edge to my FTP site and put the library on there. It would solve so many problems... failing that though, some sort of library management option set needs to be implemented in this software. I try to practice appropriate file management, but I hate having to be punished with an extra twenty minutes of work for one little mistake.
