Edge Animate will not open a recent project.

I was designing a website for a class final. I closed the project for about an hour. When I came back, Edge Animate could no longer open up the project file. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Can you give following details do that we can understand your problem better?
Version of Edge Animate that you are using. Select Help > About Edge Animate to make sure.
Operating System and its version (Mac OS, Windows)
Are you facing this issue after you upgraded to the latest version?
Did you make any changes to your computer before you started facing this issue?
Can you embed a screenshot or video that describes your situation? Any log files that you can share with us?
Just in case users need to see your project, would it be possible for you to share it to a common location and share it over a private message?

Unless it has worked since the upgrading, I believe you should uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

Premiere CC will not open 5.5 projects. Why?

I have puechased CC and can not open 5.5 projects. Why? Why do you offer chat when no one ever answers? Why do you spend so much time and money to avoid at all cost actually helping your customers?

It had nothing to do with it. The only thing that worked was building the C drive all over again. I whiped it clean. Then we tried to close caption, something we just got working before this happened and now of course it does not work well. We get skip frames all over the place. All the settings that fixed problems before do not seem to work. I guess this discussion was about opening a 5.5 project so I will post my problems with BMD and close captioning in a new post ( ok why did adobe call this version CC, did they not know that was the industry short form for close captioning, duh)
Claims that Pemiere CC and 5.5 cans exist on the same computer are false. Claims that Premiere CC does not need a Clean install of windows are false.
My proof, three completely different systems, System A: works but i have no avi export, System B: works but i have no avi export, System C: The system discussed above, needed to be wiped to work.
3 of 3 of these systems had previous versions of Premiere on them before Creative Cloud was installed. All 3 sytems also got that very annoying "bugs and patches update could not install" thing from the Creative cloud download ap. Why adobe can not provide a manual download for those suffing from this affliction is beyond me. To cheap i guess.

I movie will not open and my project is missing

I'm getting "a project file is missing" message when I try to open the movie I've been working on. It says "The file “_” couldn’t be opened and is being skipped. Click “Ignore All” to skip any remaining missing file messages." I click ignore all and iMovie quits. I've been saving my movie to an external hard drive, which got unplugged before saving my latest changes and imports. I'm sure getting unplugged is the cause of my problem but I don't know how to fix it. The file still shows up as being on the external hard drive but I can't get it to open. And now imovie will not open at all. The external hardrive is compatible with my mac.

I'd try using Disk Utility to repair the external disk. Hopefully it will be able to repair any damage. (Disk Utility is in your Applications/Utility folder.
If you have the disk utility DiskWarrior, try that too.

Do try to open it in browser by clicking the abobe link and in Adobe Reader itself by Right-Click on link->"Save link as".
If you still getting these error, uninstall Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and reinstall Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader.

LE8 not opening most recent project

I've encountered this problem in the past few weeks - possibly after I installed SL. When I close a project and quit LE, and then re-open it, LE shows me the "New..." screen. Also, the "Recent Projects" tab in the "File" menu is no longer there. Any ideas? (Yes, the Startup Action is set to "open most recent project." Thanks.

I would check you're preferences on the program to make sure nothing has changed. I's also check for updates to both Snow Leopard and Logic Express 9. Both programs have had revisions since they've been released to repair some unforseen issues.

.psd document will not open from Recent menu?

I have a Photoshop project saved on my computer that A) will not show up from within Photoshop and B) when I do attempt to open it using the Apple Recent menu, nothing happens.

I just update the latest version of Edge animate from Creative Cloud. My problemis, it will not startup.
I am getting an error message which said:
"The procedure entry point GetGestureInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library user 32.dll."

Yesterday Encore worked fine today it will not open any old project more than 13% before crashing.

A project i create today with no content will work fine and a project i create today with a dynamic link will work fine any ideas why this won't work?

Encore project files do not use an xml structure. Just curious.

Encore sometimes requires a do over. If simpler methods (delete preferences file) does not do the trick, you can temporarily rename/move the transcodes one at a time (if transcoded; the PR project if not), use "skip" when prompted for missing things, to see if that allows you to open. Also, recreating it and seeing if the problem recurs may help you understand where the problem is. You can copy the Encore project file and directories as a backup (since you can't use save-as).
how do i delete the preferences file? also this is happening on ALL of my older projects so i think the problem is with Encore and not to the project.
Can you get all the DLs in? DL? do you mean dynamic link?

Edge animate will not work, loads with screen gibberish

When I start Edge animate I cannot do anything with it. I can't open a file, create a new file and I see a bunch of gibberish and weird paths on the home screen. I have re-installed the program numerous times and it doesn't help the matter.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I may have the answer. I had the same problem - same router and iphone 4 - and after months of fishing for advice found a tip to switch the mode to 'b only'. I did this and wireless works perfectly!
Log into the router (192.168.1.1 and use admin/password) and the mode is set on the Wireless Settings page.

Edge Animate will not install.

I am receiving an error message when trying to install Edge Animate. "A beta version of this product exists on the computer. Please quit and uninstall that version before continuing; contact support."
I have uninstalled the beta version and no versions ov Edge Animate show up in the uninstall window of Windows 7. Where should i look for stay files that might be preventing the install.

Check the Edge forums for specific instructions (I'm sure there#s a sticky thread explaining everything) or ask your question again there.

I've download Adobe Edge Animate through the CC and after installation it won't launch, it just freezes and I get the spinning beach ball of woe and have to force quit.
I'm running the programme on OS X 10.8.4.

Pre8 will not open or create project

This is the first time I have use Premiere Elements 8 since I upgraded my OS, and now when I try to create a new projecte it tells me "Projects created with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements are not compatible. Please use the appropriate application to open this project."
I am using a Dell Inspiron 530, with an Intel core2 quad CPU, Q6600 @ 2.40GHz. It came loaded with Vista 64bit, but I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional, and reloaded all of my software. I downloaded and installed (I thought) pre 8.0.1, but it does not show that it is upgraded when I go to the "about" tab under Help.
I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and...
... it worked! I don't know why, but it is working now, so I can proceed with my project. Thanks to Neale and Hunt for the suggestions. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions as the arise.
