Edge animation doesn't work in Chrome

My Edge animation works fine in Safari, but doesn't work in Chrome and is sluggish in Firefox. It eventually plays in Firefox but appears to be loading slowly then plays but is sluggish. No problems in Safari. How do I go about troubleshooting this problem. It doesn't load half of my assets in Chrome.

We are having a problem with an animation in Edge Animate involving transform and clipping.
Basically, the animation is clipped in Chrome when viewing it, while not in other browsers.
There is a known issue when filters are applied to transformed objects - which would then clip in Chrome.
Chrome: Clipping may occur in browser when a transformed element has a filter applied. (3494343)
Would it be possible for you to have a look to the project and tell us if we are doing something wrong.
As there are no filters, it seems whether an additional issue, or a problem with our project.

it would save us time in order not to find a workaround while letting down this specific animation.

Hi
Built the Muse site. Placed the Edge Animate .oam file in the pages. Tested it in the browsers. All running great.
BUT now when I upload the site to the net, the Edge Animate animation doesn't work in any of the browsers.
Why not?
Am I meant to be uploading other files with the animation?
How can I remedy to make it all work…as it should?

Edge animation doesn't work properly or display properly in IE

I've created an animation using Edge CC. It contains a graphic created in illustrator which has a gradient in it. I've inserted it using the OAM method into my webpage in Dreamweaver.
My first issue is that the animation doesn't display in IE10 unless I allow Active X, however it takes forever to load.
If I choose not to load the animation, the Poster image doesn't appear in its place.
The second issue is that once it eventually loads, the gradient doesn't display correctly - it's a solid colour.
Is there a way to get my animation working properly in IE?
And if not, is there code I can use to display an alternative image - something that works in the newer versions of IE? I've tried using <!--[if !IE]> but it doesn't work.

I just did a simple test with an svg/ gradient, exported from Illustrator - defalt svg settings.
Imported (File > Import) into an Edge project file and it works, shows properly.
Is this the process you went through to add the svg file? When imported does the svg look as it should within the Edge Animate stage, at this point?
I then opened Dw, new html file; Insert > Media > Edge .oam. It imports properly.
Enable Live mode and I can see the edge file as well as the svg in all its gradient glory.
As for the Active X prompt, that is common IF you double click the .html to view or Preview in Browser from Dw because its not within a webserver space.

Can you try out one thing. We suspect this issue is caused because of the anti-scaling which we apply.
Just try to disable anti scaling.Follow the steps below :
This scale factor can be changed from:
1. Close Animate
2. Open the preference folder:
a. Windows: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Edge Animate\4.0.0\
b. Mac: /Users/{username}/Library/Prefrences/Adobe/EdgeAnimate/4.0.0/
3. Open the AppPrefs.xml file in a text editor.
4. Search for the Current line in AppPrefs.xml:
<key>SvgAntiScaleFactor</key>
<float>10</float>
Update this to:
<key>SvgAntiScaleFactor</key>
<float>1</float>
5. Launch Animate.
However note: This setting will work only for new animate content that you create after this setting is applied - i.e it will work only for newly pasted SVG’s in a new composition.
Exiting Animate compositions opened after applying the setting(Step 5 above) will still show the same problem. You will need to delete the SVG and copy-paste again.
Do let us know if this solution helps in your case too.

i've done an animation in flash using as3 code ,it's work perfetly.
the problem is that when i insert it in my page nothing happens ,before to try with browser i test the swf with a play button in dreamweaver
but nothing
when i publized only the script is seen but the images not.
i my server wamp on y computer under my folder for my website there is a folder named :images(for all images),on this folder i put the entire folder of my animation .
but i don't know why it doesn't work
i can say you all my animations with xml and AS3 in flash doesn't work in my page

Edge animations don't work properly in DPS.

I've recently update CC to the latest 2014 version and since then Edge animations don't work properly in DPS (struggle to load and play). Can anyone help?

What real details do you need? I create a digital magazine using DPS with the occasional Edge oam file inserted to lift a couple of the openers. However recently, they either stutter on loading, don't load or crash the viewer/ipad. I test them in Content viewer.

Edge Animation doesn't start properly in Chrome/Safari

I developed an animated intro sequence at the following address quite some time ago with Edge when it was still in Adobe Labs: http://www.gdc-corp.com . It seemed to work fine when developed, but it was just pointed out to me that the animation sequence automatically starts as it should in Internet Explorer on the PC, but on Chrome and Safari, at least on the mac, when you first hit the page, the animation doesn't run. If you refresh the browser or back out to another page a revisit the page, the animation starts automatically as it should.
Anyone have a quick thought on why and how to fix?

HTML5 animation doesn't work

I imported an animation that i created on Adobe Edge into my project on Adobe Captivate 8, but it doesn't work when i click to view the project in the browser, even when i export the file, nothing happens on the browser. I'm using Chrome as my default browser, but i've tried on IE and nothing happened as well.
Does anybody can help me?

Are you sure the file exported ok? Are there any dependancies in the animation such as files located elsewhere which maybe haven't been bought across?

Edge audio doesn't work in DPS project

Being very happy after latest update of Edge CC, I've decided to make DPS project for iPad.
First, when I chose "autoplay" button for audio timeline, I got a warning about sound autoplay option is not supported at digital devices (??). So what should I do? To not use the autoplay?
Second, a preview of Edge animation in web-browser works perfect (both background sound and a sound for user interaction) - BUT when I put .oam file in DPS, the sound just DOESN'T WORK.
I tried everything - check-uncheck "autoplay", check-uncheck "preload audio", put an audio as a trigger.. no sound in iPad.
And when I put audio file directly into Indesign, a sound works perfect in iPad.
What's going on?

No, not exactly. iOS and other mobile devices can playback HTML 5 audio, which is what Animate outputs.
But the fact of the matter is that autoplay for audio (and preloading) is not supported by mobile devices - it's a limitation manufacturers build into their devices. Therefore, to use audio from Animate in mobile devices, you have to initiate audio playback from a user event, such as touchstart or click.
We warn you of this in Edge Animate when you turn on autoplay (warnings appear at the bottom of the Stage).

Please help... My live website doesn't work for Chrome Windows users...

Hi, everyone, I really need your help.
I just finished my first Muse site for a client and made it live for all the world to see. I double and triple checked everything and it looked great on my computer (Google Chrome browser, but on a Mac). However, when my client saw it, he said there was a huge mistake - the text of the navigation bar was cut in half!
I asked my boyfriend to go on the site on his computer... also a Windows and on Google Chrome. Same issue. However, when he went on the site in Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, it worked just fine for him.
How do I fix this?! According to Google Analytics, most of our customers are using the Chrome internet browser... and the site is already live and people are visiting it (ah!).
EDIT: According to my mom, it doesn't work on her computer on neither Firefox or Google either. So I'm not sure how this bug functions.

We have identified this as an issue with the font itself and not Muse. A bug has been filed for the same. As of now I can't commit a timeframe when this would be resolved. I will suggest using an alternate font, btw the font that you have used now looks equally good,

Edge project doesn't work in browser

I made a Edge project that's works perfect offline, but aftre publising it doesn't work from the publish map offline and also online after I uploaded to my site. However its works allright on my iPhone 4S.
Does anybody know what is worng?

Looks like you're still using Animate 1.5 which we do not actively update to keep up with browser changes. I haven't seen this issue with CC, are you able to give your project a whirl with the new version and see if it persists? Browsers are constantly in flux as they intoduces updates and we keep up with those changes in the latest version of Animate.

WinJS enterPage animation doesn't work

So I have been trying to get some animations in my application and seems like it doesn't work as expected.
When I call
WinJS.UI.Animation.enterPage(element)
everything is fine and the element scrolls from right to left which is default with opacity.
However the moment I override default values, everything just stops working, using something like this -
WinJS.UI.Animation.enterPage(element, { top: "100px", left: "0px" });
I don't see any animation, the element just gets thrown there, and there's no opacity change for the element to be faded into the screen either. Again this kind of works partially, when I pair with WinJS.UI.Animation.exitPage(oldElement) but it shouldn't be
needed.
I also tried using custom animation so that I'd have more control over timing than what is provided as part of default animation library, and that behaves a lot more differently. I just got the code written for enterPage in WinJS, pulled into my code, and
tried tweaking around with the values... no matter what I do, I'd see only opacity change and the element fade in, and no translation at all. Even when I paired it with exitPage() or customExitPage(), nothing, it just wouldn't work.
Is this a problem with WinJS.UI.executeAnimation() and WinJS.UI.executeTransition()?

Edge multiple composition animations won't work in Chrome

I am having problems when rendering a multiple composition in Google Chrome.
What's happening eventually is that when I resize the browse window up above the 698px in height, the backgrounds on the website start to disappear, and they keeps disappearing one by one as long you keep resizing the browser.

Edge Animation not displaying correctly on Chrome??

I have an edge site which seems to be displaying correctly on Internet Explorer, but not on Chrome, the entire site gets all pixelated apart from one small animation. The site has some transparencies and an imported gradient background. Although it displays correctly in IE it does still seem to stall upon loading where only a small section of the background appears before the rest of the site comes up. Is anyone able to shed some light on this?? Any help would be appreciated.

Audio is a problem. if you have a action, like an sound and a action it doesnt work.
Sounds that start in the begin of your animation, works. but no action and a sound combination.
The new version of EDGE has more problems not only sound problems.
I hope we will get a update that works better

Adobe edge animation button not working in muse

Ok so I went and created a button in adobe Edge that when clicked scrolls your browser to the top of the page since I couldn't create what I was looking to do in muse( I can create anchors to bring me to the top of the page but I dont like that i have to relink the button for each page and that clicking on the button acts as a page change so when you click the back button it brings you back down to the bottom of the page vs the previouse page). Anyways the button works perfectly fine when previewing it in adobe Edge but when I bring it into Muse and try to use it the function to bring you to the top of the page stops working, the mouse states still work though so it doesn't seem to be completly broken. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong or what I can do to fix this?

I just tried to host it to a temp businesscatalyst site and the .oam file isn't even showing up on the temorary page. Getting more and more confused.
