Edge Animation looks flashy/glitchy in Firefox only, but then looks fine after a few refreshes.

Any idea what is going on here? I am using display on/off to toggle through each PNG frame by frame/layer by layer inside a symbol on the stage. The domain is currently at new.spiritworldwine.com. But I am going live with the site today, so it may change to www.spiritworldwine.com by end of day today.  I would like to get this fixed before I go live, but it looks fine in all other browsers so I am just gonna go ahead and if I don't figure something out soon, I am going to have to write and exception for Firefox and just show the static PNG.
Please help. Thanks.

Hi,
I've had a look on Firefox and it seems ok.
I've had issues like this with my edge pages in other browsers, it seems to be a loading time thing. So like you said after you've refreshed it a few times its ok.
Think that is probably it, its like the browser hasn't loaded all of the page then when its refreshed a few times its loaded the whole thing.

    If the Reset Ian mentioned doesn't work...
    Shut down and restart the Mail app...
    - From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
    - Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
    - Press the red to delete the Mail app from this list.
    - Press the home button twice when done.

    Firefox is locking up VERY frequently after every few seconds unless I minimize the window and maximize it again. But then in a few seconds it locks up again, I am unable to click anything or DO anything and it is becoming extremely annoying! Ya'll just released a new version that I'd hoped would have fixed this issue, apparently not...and I also can't select an option in a drop down box, I have to use my keyboard to do so...
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Yeah I'm seeing this as well. A force quit and relaunch seems to solve the problem for a while.
    IMHO the app has just gone downhill in the last few years. Useful tools like browser history from the back button are hidden / rendered useless (click and hold doesn't work so well from a track pad), and it's performance just isn't what it used to be.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • I downloaded firefox 5 but it looks like the old one - the blue line on top

    i was using chrome 'cause i liked the artwork - the way it looked - silly but true - as it kept crashing i switched to firefox a couple of hours ago - i watched the video and read the info and everything and i was happy to see firefox has changed its looks - but no matter what theme or persona i've tried i still get the blue line on top like the old one - looks nothing like the pics you use in the personalize section... please help because i really dislike this look

    The orange Firefox button shows by default only in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
    You can turn the Firefox button on in XP:
    *Menu Bar checked = Menu Bar on, Firefox button off
    *Menu Bar un-checked = Menu Bar off, Firefox button on
    *Turn Menu Bar on/off, click Menu Bar to check/un-check by doing one of the following:
    **using the Menu Bar: View > Toolbars
    **using Firefox button: Firefox button > Options > Toolbar Layout
    **right-click an empty space (at the end of the tab bar)
    **this toggles (automatically checks/un-checks) Menu Bar: HOLD down the ALT key while pressing the keyboard letters VTM

  • I am in the process of developing a site, and I'm working with nested iframes. The html page inside the nested iframe is not displying in the iframe window in Firefox only, but is instead opening in a new window. Any advice on how to fix this?

    I am developing a website with nested iframes. The problem that I am having is that the html page inside the nested iframe is not displaying in the iframe window in Firefox only. The first level iframe is behaving properly, but the second level is not. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Firefox opens but completely unresponsive even after reinstall

    I'd been having problems with Firefox hanging. It didn't appear to have anything to do with any of my addones, as I continued having problems even after disabling them--first one at a time, then all of them. Now after updating to the new version, (thinking that might be the problem) it will open but then immediately hangs (I am unable to even try any of the "fixes"): Error mesasge in toolbar "Firefox is not respponding". I tried completlyuninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't work either. Now the first time I uninstalled and reinstalled I was given the option of deleting my presonal preferences as well, essentially reinstalling a factory fresh Firefox browser. I said no,. Well when the reinsiall didn't work, I tried uninstalling again but this time the option didn't even come up. I have also tried a systm restore without effect. In addition I have run a complete virus scan with AVG and I'm coming up clean. There are several odd things about this glitch: At some point an addon that synchonized my FF favorites with my other browsers erased the back ups on the other browsers (it isn't supposed to do that if shut off as far as I know or I would have chosen a different method). I can't locate my FF favorites in order to save the file (I really want to keep them). The favorites bar is still on the toolbar, so they do seem to be intact on FF, of course I can't access anything. I am completely flummoxed given that even uninstalling and reinstalling hasn't worked. I am not getting any other error messages other than that the browser is not responding. I am currently using Windows 7 on a gateway netbook. The only thing that might possibly have anything to do with this is that at some point some program changed my home page and search engine to Delta. I suspect it was Vuze, but I had selected no and aborted the installation. I still had to manually change them back to my personal defaults. Obviously that shouldn't have affected my browser in this way. The only two other programs I've installed within this time period were from Giveaway of the day and Games giveaway of the Day both reputable websites. None of the feedback from these two programs indicated anything about hijacked home/search engines from other users--who would most definitely be kicking up a fuss. So I have two basic issues: Fixing FF and saving my favorites from FF. Tried again, making sure that the AVG was off, and while it didn't hang the first second, it started hanging as soon as I opened a web page or the add on page. Also note that I cannot install the troubleshooter. I saved the program but it won't install or even apparently recognize that I have FF installed.

    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
    See "Creating a profile":
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
    If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.

  • Firefox freezes while running, minimizing and maximising solves the problem temporarily, but it freezes again after a few seconds. Any solutions?

    Firefox seems to be running fine, but it seems that only the display freezes. On minimizing/maximizing the window I can see the result of any clicks made during the frozen period as well.

    Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Firefox downloads but then will not unpack without administrator status on home computer nor as existing user

    I uninstalled "Firefox" having used it for years, after accidentally adding a taskbar I did not want.
    On attempting to re-load the "Firefox" downloads straightforwardly but then comes up with an unfamiliar screen.
    This says that I may not have the permissions to access all of "Firefox" features so to take a choice of;
    (a) Running opening of Firefox as existing user,
    or
    (b) Running Opening "Firefox" as an Administrator asking for a password.
    Neither choice starts the unpacking of downloaded software, the computer just goes quiet.
    This is my home computer and I have never been asked this before, and have no special restrictions.
    Any suggestions? I have downloaded "Firefox" via Google Chrome and Internet Explorer with same results.
    Thank you.

    And I still have a bricked iPhone 4

  • Firefox 4 unfortunately collapse (crashes ? ) after a few minutes of operate. I install-uninstall 3 times, but always works a few minutes only. I have windows-7 64-bit. What would be the problem ?

    when firefox collapse does not open any website including these ones which opened a few minutes ago. There are no "crash" report but it writes "connecting" without any connection with the website.

    I am having similar issue but on a large scale.  I have only a few printers that drop off while others stay.  I notice this on my iOS devices, but if I check my macbook they all still display, so only on iOS devices it is disappearing.

  • I have just downloaded the new Firefox 4, but everything looks the same.

    however, I do not have any of the new features such as the orange bar etc. When I go into safemode, I have these features. When I get out of safemode and disable addons manually, I still look like Firefox 3. I just want my cool new features and stuff.

    The first image is with safemode for me, the second is without. When I disable my add ons manually, I still get the look in the without safemode picture.
    EDIT:
    RESETTING TOOLBARS SOLVED THE ISSUE

  • I am running Firefox 4 but it looks identical to the old version that it replaced

    I have just downloaded and installed Firefox 4. When it opened for the first time, it looked like Firefox 4. After shutting down and reopening, I am seeing what appears to be the old version (ie, Classic Compact theme is used, colored tabs working, weather bar is on, all should not work now). When I check the version, it says I am running Firefox 4.

    You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
    There is a "Tabs on Top" item in the right-click context menu of a toolbar and in "View > Toolbars" to place the tab bar at the top.

  • It says that firefox updated, but it looks the same (no light blue window, app tabs, etc.)

    A new tab came up saying firefox was updated to Firefox 5.0, but There were some of the features that I do not have. One, for example, the app tabs. Is this version of firefox not compatible with Windows XP?

  • FIrefox won't connect to Google, GMail, or Firefox help. It works after reinstallation but the problem returns after a few hours. Can someone help?

    I have disabled extensions, cleared the cache, and run spyware. I also have the same problem with other browsers, but Firefox is the only one I use. I am running Windows 7 home edition. I am using my Mac laptop to ask this question because my Windows Firefox browser will not let me connect to the help site.

    chiduke i think because this problem exists in every browser, its not an issue with Firefox browser, i think your windows machine is under attack by some malicious software or your spyware is blocking the access to internet.
    Did you say you are able to access for some time after you reinstall Firefox, i don't actually know why it works think its working until the malicious software or your spyware detects Firefox's presence and blocks the internet.
    Try to start your machine in Safe mode, i mean windows. (Don't know how as i don't use windows but i know there is a safe mode when i Googled it say you can access internet only in safemode with networking option enabled so make sure you open in that), try to access the web & test for few hours if it works then its a problem with windows. May be you can ask windows support for help.
