Edge Animations with in-Muse hyperlinking.

If I make an animated button in Edge Animate for instance and publish it as an .OAM file.
When I import it into Muse, I would like to be able to add a hyperlink to that animation within Muse as the URL of that hyperlink will not be defined until I upload it to the website to the FTP.
This would be great.

I've got the same problem...
I tried to put the animated button into the button widget in Muse, so you can add hyperlink, but it seems to not working at all

  • Using Edge animation with Muse

    Hi,
How can have my Muse website load with an Edge animation prior to Muse site's home page?

Problem solved, local sounds don't work for muse. Moving the sounds folder an external url did the trick..

  • Pause edge animation with play bar

Hi there is there a way to automatically pause an edge animation when the user pauses the project?

I don't agree about SL: Captivate has responsive projects, is still much better for software simulations, has HD Video Demo slides and it integrates wonderful with Photoshop and Audition. You can create an app because of its integration with Phonegap and the way you can preview a responsive project on devices with Edge Inspect is another unique feature. Maybe you'll understand why one of my nicknames is Captivate Defender
And I also would appreciate a better integration with Animate, totally agree on that point. Did you log a feature request?

  • Publishing Edge content in a muse site

So I've been adding a lot of adobe edge animations to my muse website.  When I go to publish the muse site, it says there are 1900 image files to upload, and I see all these images that aren't even in my website.  I think for some reason when the edge projects are being added to my muse site, they're dragging the ENTIRE library of available images with them into muse in the OAM package, making it take forever to publish my site.  Is there anyway to get rid of this extra image library?  Is it a problem with muse, or with animate?  Thanks for anyone who has any idea!

    Hi.
One cheap way: an inline frame (iframe tag) on your marketing website could display your portal news page (or a page portlet housed on yet another page, with only the desired regions displayed).
Another more flexible yet more programmatically intense option: expose your portal content as RSS or XML. We've created some PL/SQL procedures that leverage the Portal content APIs and views (e.g. wwsbr_all_items). That lets us pull out the content however we want and use server-side XSLT to render it elsewhere.
    Hope this stimulates some ideas.

  • Where do I place Edge files when publishing Muse to BC?

The only thing I've been able to find on this is from older versions of Edge and Muse.
What I've read suggests that we have to put all the edge.html and edge.js files at the root level with the other html pages. That leaves the Edge Includes in their own separate folder.
I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THIS TO WORK.
I may be able to double-click the edge.HTML file to play in a browser, but when I try to play it after publishing from Muse – no luck.
I also wonder what happens when I want to put Edge animations on multiple pages within a Muse website. It seems with the root level would become crowded with so many Edge files. And how do all those “Edge includes” folders get renamed?
I would love to see tighter integration between Edge and Muse. But for now, I would be very happy just to be able to play my Edge animations in published Muse sites. As much as I'd like to use it, I can't use Edge if I can't get the animations to play in Muse.
    Thanks for any help...

    Hello,
You probably did not find this article at the right time but there is one KB article explaining how to insert the Edge content into a Muse website.
Basically what you have to do is, after you publish the Edge project, to take the exported folder, or just the files, (but I'm totally into taking taking the whole folder) and upload them to your FTP where the Muse site is published. After that just use the "Object > Insert HTML..." option from Muse and paste the <iframe> code from the KB and customize the path to the folder where the files are located and the width & height for the iframe.
KB can be accessed here: http://www.adobekb.com/inserting_edge_content.html
An example can be found here.
    - Edge project uploaded to FTP.
    - Content of the project folder.
    - HTML code
I hope this will answer your question.
    Cheers,
    Cristian

  • DPS not displaying round corner in Edge animation

Hello, I have a somewhat simple edge animation with round buttons made with rounded shapes. The button display other elemts in the animation when clicked.
When imported to DPS and preview in content viewer, all circles are rendered as squares. Any suggestions? Script behaviors work fine, just the shape changes.

Yes it works fine in a browser.
    Btw I found the solution...
I changed the round corner setting from % to px and now works fine in DPS, I dunno if that is considered a bug or not

  • Exiting animation to a new web page (using Edge .oam file in MUSE)

    Hello,
Ok. Here is the situation. I have a webpage that was done in MUSE, on that page there is a mouse click button that starts an Edge animation.
When the animation finishes I want an ( automatic) action that displays a new webpage on the same website.
I tried setting up a 'timeline stop' action on the main stage
    window.open("http://homie0106.businesscatalyst.com/menu-1.html");
    No dice. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance
    Bob

GOT IT.  The method I posted DID work.....once I fixed my hyperlinking mistake.

  • Muse CC does not display Edge Animate with Audio

I am learning to use Edge Animate. I created an animation consisting of an image of a large rock concert. I added animation to create multiple flashbulbs like you see at concerts, and placed it in Muse. Worked great!  Then I went back and added audio of cheering fans. It previews fine in Animate CC, but when I place it in Muse I just get a screen with nothing on it. If I back out the animation, it shows and plays fine. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks!

  • Issue with multiple Edge animations in the same article. Please help!

We have 3 edge animations in our 3 page article, one in eache page. The first edge animation you view autoplays great, however when you swipe down or up the other animations just wont play. All of them set to autoplay 0.125 with transparent background. It seems that no matter which one you see first, it kills the other two. We tried importing HTML and DPS  from Edge with the same results.
    Thank you in advance!

I just did a quick test and experienced mixed results. I placed a single edge animation on the first page of a horizontal article, then placed the same edge animation on three pages of the vertical orientation (dual-orientation folio). The edge animation shows up perfectly on the horizontal layout, but only displays on pages 1 and 3 of the vertical orientation. It does not load on page 2.
I also placed an additional Web Content Overlay on page two connecting to a website which loads fine. The edge animation shows the spinning/loading icon but nothing loads.
Sorry, not much help here just sharing similar bugs.

  • How to create a link with an anchor outside of the edge animation ?

    Hello
I want to know if it's possible to create a link with an anchor that is placed outside of the edge animation , on the same page ?
    Tanks

Is it... very likely..., javascript is javascript...Has anyone yet? Maybe i haven't looked.
You only need 3 files... not including "Edge Includes" and "External Art Assets"
    NAME_edge.js
    NAME_edgeActions.js
    NAME_edgePreload.js
The advantage of Edge being that u have the "power" to do whatever you like, but as with new things it takes awhile to figure it all out.

  • Edge animation works in browser preview from edge and muse but not in chrome when published

I have an Edge animation that worked fine in Chrome, Safari and IE.
The last time I published my Muse site (To BC) again (since update to CC2014) it no longer worked in Chrome!
Preview in browser (Chrome) from edge works, preview in browser (Chrome) from Muse works, publish and it doesn't work in Chrome (but does in Safari and IE).
Have been trawling for possibilities but I'm not that web techy! Any help would be appreciated

I don't remember specifically what fixed it at all as I'd done all of the following:
Removed Muse and Edge and prefs
    Updated Muse and Edge
    trashed cache in Chrome
copied the contents of the Edge project / stage into a new project and saved as cc2014 version
re-published the whole site from Muse
After many attempts it started working again but I can't say that it was one thing in particular - sorry about that.

  • Adobe muse - can't see my Edge animation in design tab!?

I have a problem, when i have made mit edge animation, and placed it in muse, i can't see it in the design tab, but when i click the preview tab i shows, and i can also see the animation in browser!? Anyone who can help? :/

    Hi,
Yes I've had the disappearing animation problem. It shows in preview but not in design,
I deleted and re-inserted it. That cured it - but for how long.
This latest update has been a disaster for me.

hi, am using edge 2.01 with my mac. i am working on a site for   http://www.twosons.com/gallery.html   i have a piece of edge animation on the gallery page which reads  DIRECTORS REEL 310.200.1400 right underneath the video buttons. on safari it works perfectly. on firefox however i have a scrollbar appearing. i've checked the animation and it is 360wide X130 height and scripted it to be responsive.

    Reboot the device.
Shut down the device by holding the sleep/wake button  and the home button at the same time.
Hold them both until you see the screen go black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it.
Wait until the white Apple logo appears.
When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.
