Edge coverage in the north west (manchester central) any?

Is anybody getting any kind of edge coverage in the central area of Manchester, or anywhere in the north west for that matter. I have never seen the little "E" icon appear on my phone so wasnt sure if I was on my own with this.

There is also limited coverage in Bury. I don't have an iPhone contract, by surprisingly my Samsung D900 allows me to use Edge
Not that I'm complaining, but is there anyone else on an o2 non-iPhone contract who can also use Edge?

Can anyone explain what is happening to the network coverage by meteor in north west donegal (Carrick, Glencolmcille) area. I've been told that the contract has expired for meteor to use the vodafone masts and isn't going to be renewed. What about meteor customers in the area - are we going to be left high and dry?

EDGE coverage is better than expected and a question...

Hi there,
I bought an iPhone on Friday, and its awesome, even though I had seen the video's etc I was/am still really impressed by it!
I was interested to see how much of an exaggeration this '30% of the UK have EDGE' rumour was that the press had been so keen to comment on.
Its obviously not as bad as the media would have you believe because I live in a relatively small-mid size town in the Midlands, about 30 mins from Birmingham and I get full EDGE coverage no problem. And Its actually not that slow!!!!
Also I have a quick question, its no major issue if this is not possible, but is there a way to empty the trash in Mail? I know you have to delete emails one by one but can you empty the trash or do you have to delete those individually too? Sorry if this has been detailed elsewhere, and Im not going to have a rant and moan if its not possible, just curious!

Hi,
If you go into settings -> mail and then go in to each of your accounts and select "advanced" from the bottom of the list, you can change your preferences for emptying the trash bin, which I think as a default is set as "never". There is an option to empty it every day, so this should avoid you having to manually delete each email from the trash bin.

EDGE coverage?

Having had a 3G phone with very poor reception in my home I am anxious to avoid this with my next phone. I'm currently with 3 network so can't downgrade to 2G. I'm considering a Blackberry Curve 8900 but how can I find out if I will get EDGE coverage in my area? I live in outer London!
Also does anyone have an opinion on which network is best for the phone, Orange and T Mobile seem to have the best deals.

With Firefox as browser, when working on the South West Airline website, when I clicked on the airport code or on their calendar, nothing happened such as showing airport location or the calendar to work on. with Internet Explorer, no such problem.

One work around is to disable CSS on southwest.com:
Toolbar -> View -> Page Style -> No Style
The page will convert into a plain linear page that looks like it was from 1994. Scroll down to where it says Round Trip and One Way and select your airport there. Press enter in one the text boxes. After the first page, you should be able to go back to the normal presentation of the website:
Toolbar -> View -> Page Style -> Basic Page Style

I purchased (rented) a Galaxy S4 through the Edge program, with the $5.00 insurance/protection plan (that the sales associate handling the purchase on the phone recommended),which is no longer valid! 2 months after getting the Edge device, I go to make a claim and Asurion will not honor it because I am not covered; however, all the order confirmation receipts emailed and physically sent with the device show the addition of insurance when I signed up for the Edge program. According to Verizon (via live chat with 'Nicole'), this $5 protection plan no longer exists and the order numbers I have on my paperwork (multiple documents) are invalid in the Verizon system. For over a week, I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone, live chat and in the store trying to get some sort of resolution and the customer service reps just put me on hold or promise to "call me back within 30 minutes after they speak to a supervisor" and (surprise!) they never return my call. Or they send me to the store to show proof of my documents, but then those associates cannot help either. Also, the 'Edge Agreement' in my profile has the wrong device (and serial #), wrong payment amounts and no mention of the 'consumer protection plan' on it, which is listed on the order confirmation sent via email and with the actual Edge device on September 23. Obviously, there was some sort of glitch or mistake on Verizon's part, but NO ONE WILL EVEN TRY TO ACCEPT THAT FACT! WHY WON'T ANYONE GET BACK TO ME WITH SOME SORT OF EXPLANATION FOR ANY OF THIS?! Is it typical for Verizon to do away with a service (i.e., $5.00/month protection) and not inform the customer of this? And is it company policy to be as unhelpful as possible to a paying customer who needs assistance when there is cleary something wrong on your end? And finally, am I really suppose to believe that Verizon customer service has no email addresses or fax machines so a customer can send you proof of what is on the receipt you sent and that I have to take more of my time to go to the actual store?! Finally, does anyone at Verizon even read these messages or even give a F@#k about the customer as long as they keep making money?!

Issue with multiple Edge animations in the same article. Please help!

We have 3 edge animations in our 3 page article, one in eache page. The first edge animation you view autoplays great, however when you swipe down or up the other animations just wont play. All of them set to autoplay 0.125 with transparent background. It seems that no matter which one you see first, it kills the other two. We tried importing HTML and DPS from Edge with the same results.

I just did a quick test and experienced mixed results. I placed a single edge animation on the first page of a horizontal article, then placed the same edge animation on three pages of the vertical orientation (dual-orientation folio). The edge animation shows up perfectly on the horizontal layout, but only displays on pages 1 and 3 of the vertical orientation. It does not load on page 2.
I also placed an additional Web Content Overlay on page two connecting to a website which loads fine. The edge animation shows the spinning/loading icon but nothing loads.
Sorry, not much help here just sharing similar bugs.

On October 11th I started an EDGE agreement for the NOTE 3. I make a $92.30 payment over the phone (which is listed above). The lady said it would arrive two days after the phone comes out. It didn't show up two days after it came out and my little Droid X went dead on me. I called customer service and asked if the phone has been shipped yet. They said it has not. I asked if I could pick it up in the store instead. They said yes. They said they would cancel the shipment so I can pick it up in the store. I end up going to the store at Torrance Crossroads and I was just about to get the phone. Then sales rep was trying to force me into buying the case and charger package that was a deal with the phone for $100.I said no and he got hurt and quiet over it. 5 minutes later he comes up to me saying the edge agreement is not cancelled and they can not give me the phone. I asked if there is anything he can do or call customer service and verify because customer service told me it could be done. He said no and walked away.
I call customer service and they say that they stopped the order and told me to go back to the store and try again. I did not wanna see the sales rep at Torrance Crossroads so I go to another Verizon store on hawthorne blvd in Torrance. I try the same process and the same thing happens. I tell them to call customer service and verify what is going on. I wait for 2 hours while they talk to customer service and the financial department. They tell me they will start another edge agreement on my girlfriends line and give me the note 3 so I can use it on my line. They said they waved the fee through some promotion since I went through a lot of trouble getting the phone and I should be getting a check in the mail for the $92.30 I paid on 10/11/13.
Ever since then I have been paying for two edge agreements at $29.16 a piece. I have also been paying an extra $8 for insurance on a note 3 that I do not have. I have not gotten reimbursed the $92.30 I paid on 10/11/13. I have been calling customer service since December and have not gotten any where. Today was the last straw when the guy put me on hold and I ended up getting transferred to the sales department... What should I do? Is there anyone that can actually help my situation out. I already suspended my line and will do so for the next 5 months until this is fixed.

Then I received an email from Telus saying I had used my 3G instead of Wi-Fi using 75% of my data. How can this happen when I'm on Wi-Fi at home? If it switched to 3G for some reason I should have been disconnected and not just transferred to 3G network using up my data. What is the fix for this??

It doesn't have to be that complicated, Verizon iPhones come unlocked, just tell VZ you're going on Holiday/Traveling and suspend the service, no need to pay for service if you're not going to be using it. Pick up local SIM cards in the countries of your choosing, pop them in, re-activate iMessage and you're set!
I recommend getting a SIM card from the Three network in England, they have great EU roaming rates and free like-home roaming in Italy.
Set your phone's region to match the country you're in, it'll save from some headaches when calling local/international numbers.
To answer your questions,
1. If you choose not to have a local SIM card, it is good to keep your phone in Airplane mode to save battery.
2. Make sure the two iPhones have different names to reduce sync/restore issues.
3. If husband has an iPhone also, you can chat with iMessage/Facetime, just give him heads up about the new number you'll have. Otherwise, use Whatsapp if he's got an Android. You can activate Whatsapp with your American number or the international number if you choose to get a SIM in Europe.
Also, Get the MagicJack app and/or Google Hangouts, both of those apps provide you with free calling to the USA and Canada using any internet connection. Google Voice is another good way to SMS across the seas.

1. I am running on Windows 8.1
2. When running the installer file from https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/reflow I get the following choice
I click "OK" which doesn't do anything for me (CC is off).
I turn CC on and run the installer again. I get the following window that within few settings disappears:
Then - just for half a second it says "Launching Creative Cloud desktop" and then it brings CC to front, and that's all.
RF still not there.
3. I spoke ta support agent on the Adobe chat on Friday. He looked into my computer for an hour. Uninstalled After Effects (after failing to update it). For some reason all apps disappeared from the list. They then reappeared after he opened PS.
This morning After Effects is still showing up in my system and is operational.
Weird.
4. At the end the agent suggested maybe Firewall is the problem here. Trying that out now.

How to publish edge projects to the web?

I've never published edge projects to the web before.
Sorted the web settings out to what I need but wondering but do I need to upload the whole edge project file (with the edge project, edge includes etc) or just the publish folder?

The contents of the publish folder is all what is needed to deploy.
PS: the publish folder might have two directories, 'Web' and '.oam', depending on your publish settings. For publishing projects to Web, You only need (all the) contents of the 'Web' directory. If you have uncheked the CDN option in publish settings, then edge_includes directory will be available in Published content.
