Edge not updating poster image

Hello,
I've updated a few assets in my Edge animation and refreshed the file in Muse. The poster image is now out of date and showing the wrong colours in Muse. If I delete the poster image in finder (I'm on a Mac), Edge throws up an error and won't publish the file.
Any ideas how to get Edge to update the poster image itself?

Indd will not update placed images that have type design changes from Ai

I am creating a book in Indesign ca4 and have placed hundreds of images from Illustrator cs4. These images have unconverted type in them. When i update the font (in FontExplorer X) the files updates fine in Ai. However, when I go to the Indd file nothing changes. If i click on one of the images and relink then the updated font pops in. Now normally when I change anything else in an Ai file it automatically changes in the Indd file or at least shows that the file needs to be "updated".
The problem is that I don't want to spend hours clicking each graphic, going to relink find the file, etc. Also, the font change is mearly the same font with a different revision number and it is difficult to even see if the font has actually updated, I would be blind by the time I finished the process of updating each graphic and verifying that it actulally updated.
I do not want to convert the type to outlines, as this would cause even more time issues.
I don't understand how the this can happen without a red flag happening somewhere along the process, as the previous font that shows up in Indd no longer exists and the file is not embeded, or converted?

Peter, thanks for working on this for me I appreciate your heIp. I think what is happening is that when the font is updated it is not acknowledged by the Ai file until it is opened and resaved. Additionally, Ai does not change anything in a file that is resaved unless a change is made. So, what I had to do is open each Ai file and move or nudge some insignificant object or some other change to force an update, then resave the file. Also, if a change is made then undo is selected the file will not update it must be an actual change. Then it will update.

Adobe Edge not updating in Safari

Since the 2014.1 upgrade I can't update my Adobe Edge animations in Adobe Muse. The edits show up fine in Muse preview, but not when I upload the site. It turns out it seems like an issue with Safari. Edits do work in Chrome and Firefox. Anybody else having Safari problems?

One of the following steps should help.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Web Content: > "Enable Plug-ins".
       or
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow all other plug-ins
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.
     http://www.youtube.com/html5
    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box beside
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
    Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions, if any.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Now try YouTube.

Book editing - change a photo, book does not update

We are having a small problem. When editing our book, we double on some photos to edit them. Crop, color adjust, etc. Then we click done, and get sent back to our Book page.
Now about half the time the book preview does not update the image that we just changed. It seems to update the larger full page images more often than it updates the smaller images in the book layout. If I double click the photo again, I can see the change I previously made are still there, but they are not being reflected in the book preview.
So 2 questions, how do I force the book to update its photo preview? And if I print this will it use the edited photo, and not the version its showing me in the preview?
Assume this is just a screen display issue, and that the generated print will use the right assets, right?
This is in iLife '08 on Leopard on an intel Macbook.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try changing the layout, i.e. from frames with or without text to the other and then back. That may jump start the picture to display properly. It works for me when I do some cropping, like from landscape to portrait and the frame doesn't reset itself.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Edge poster image no longer visible in design mode

Just updated to Muse 2014.3
In design mode the preview of Edge Animations has been replaced with the "Eg" icon.
The animations works just fine but it is more difficult to place them properly without a preview image.
I checked the Edge Animation file to make sure that the poster image was selected.

Yes, it came down to something corrupted with OS X as suddenly I started getting the long grey progress bar every time I booted OS X (no problems when booting Windows 7 on the Boot Camp partition).
Disk Utility could not repair it and for some reason I couldn't boot off a USB drive that I had setup as a recovery drive, so I couldn't repair it via Disk Warrior nor TechTool (I misplaced the boot DVDs over the years of moving).
Since this was my laptop that I only use when I'm on the road, all my important information was synced to my desktop Mac so I just started over and reformatted the entire hard drive and reinstalled everything (it gave me the opportunity to try out 10.7 preview release on a clean install as well as I wanted to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 7 anyways) and now everything works fine, including Target Disk mode.

Posts going missing - How to update an image once it has been displayed

Something is very wrong with my posts here. I made this post earlier today, and added it to my watch list. The last time I checked it, there were no replies. Now the title in my watch list has been changed to null and the post is not showing up in the forum. Grrrr.
Anyway, onto the main event.
I've got some code that, among other things, displays an image in a Frame. I'm doing this by subclassing JLabel and overriding the paintComponent method.
My question though, is how can I load a different image in place of that one ? I'm trying to run a slideshow, and whenever I load another image, I can see the new object is being created (I have a println in there), but the image in the frame is not updated with the new one.
Here is my overridden paintComponent method:

If you are looking up onto staged data, just snapshot the data once a day.
Or you could just do an External Lookup, where there is no need to refresh the data as you can just look it up dynamically.
You will not get any 'fuzziness' with this approach.

Before image and after image is not updating correctly with 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL

Hi,
It is difficult to check this in the Source System and there is no direct method. I can give you a workaround which we did analysed for some of delta datasources.
Steps to be followed sequentiall once the step is successful:
1. Create a Production order or something.. Note down the number.
2. Check the datasource whether you get the same Production Order as delta
3. Now do whatever confirmation etc . for the same Production Order
4. Check the datasource (RSA3) and see wat it extracts.. might be multiple records..
In that case just see the sequence of records.. and the changes each record has brought in.. hope this way we can simulate the delta datasource realtime..
And if you find the sequence or somthin is correct and in BW is not updating properly then it is our fault to dig and find out further.. If the issues is at the RSA3 itself, then u can raise an OSS Message as a Bug.

Enhanced podcasts, images do not update in separate window?

Hi all, when I watch an enhanced podcast, the images update in the itunes artwork window as they should,
but if I click on the window to display the images in a separate window the images do not update in the new window,
if I do this with a video podcast then it works just fine, the video plays in the separate window without any problems,
is this a bug, or is itunes not able to do this yet?

Hi Rob,
Did you ever figure this out? I posted two similar questions (with no replies) before seeing yours. If this feature does not exist, I am thinking that this is something that Apple needs to address in the next iTunes update. Since Apple is promoting enhanced podcasts, it is only reasonable that iTunes make them easy to watch.

Why does the poster image not match animation?

This is part of a larger issue with DPS that necessitates placing a static version of the animation (the poster) into InDesign that shows prior to the animation. Not doing this, there is a white flash when the page first opens and before the animation can get loaded. Unfortunately the poster image from Edge is noticeably lighter than the animation itself.

We take the poster image from the current timeline postion.
There are a few image optimizations that happen,but that should not cause any significant difference from the content on stage and the poster image generated.
If your are facing this problem on a partiular file ,can you PM me those files?

Poster image not centering in browser

My poster image (for viewing in IE8) is not centering in the browser window. It's displaying as left aligned with a big gap to the right of the image. How do I fix?

Thank you Hemanth, that is exactly what I am referring to. One final question though, as I am by no means an HTML guru...do I add the snippet while I'm in Edge or do I open the HTML file in Dreamweaver and add the code there?
If in Edge, where do I access the code to add it (and where does it go)?

Image does not update in loop with control

Hi all,
I am trying to make a data playback vi. I have some data recorded, and images recorded from another vi saved onto my computer.
I want to sync the data with the video, so we can tell what was happening visually when there is something interesting happening on the waveform etc
I successfully made a real-time playback of the data and video. The speed of the playback is selectable and works well. The image output is inside a while loop.
However, I would also like to make a different case where the time is selectable via a slider.
The setup for the video playback is almost identical. The only difference is that instead of the loop iteration output hooked up to the image array indexing, the output of the
front panel slider is hooked up.
However, this small changes is a big problem! The data in the wires updates as I slide the slider fine, but the image in the front panel does not.
If I scroll around the front panel the image WILL update, or if I zoom in or out etc. Any action except moving the slider updates the image.
This is somewhat confusing because the image updates with no front panel activity at all when using the iteration # output... why should the refresh care about getting
the indexing from one source or another?
I tried playing around with my display settings, like resolution, acceleration, color depth. I've also added wait times. I also tried to put in a flat case structure with the image
update first, then checking the slider value and shift registering that around the while loop.
It is probably something weird with Windows, but is there some way to 'trick' LabVIEW into a redraw?

Ah, I'm dumb.
So when you have a selectable case structure (lets say two cases) and an image out in each it creates two image out windows in the front panel!
The other image out was like 3 screens away for whatever reason, and THAT one was updating just fine.
Now to put the case structure inside the while loop instead of the other way around so I can just have one image out...

Excise Invoice is not updating though posted

Hi Everybody,
I have posted GR with partI and then i have posted EI against the GR Document after posting it should show status as POSTED but in my case its showing as INPROCESS still( I have not closed period for December 2008). Can anybody tell why its not updating.

Photos 1.0 not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary folder/file after update install

I installed the update that changed my iPhoto to Photos 1.0, and the new Photos program is not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder (not sure to call it file or folder since it is actually a folder with all my pics but it acts more like a file) after update install. The Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder shows to be 55 gb in size, and it shows to be loaded into the photos program, but there are maybe a few weeks of pictures showing instead of a few years. Lots of pictures in the 55 gb are not showing for some reason.

No - iPhotos has not replaced anything - it is new and an addition - iPhoto is still on your system in the applications folder and still works just fine
Outlook is not supported by Photos - not sure if the support must come form Apple or MS as Photos uses a different interface to external packages than iphoto did

Recepient type not updating in entries posted through F-54

We have a scenario as follows
1. First we have made advance payment to vendor through F-48 with TDS posting.
2. We received 4 bills against these advance payment and we booked these bills with TDS posting.
3. We have used F-54 T-Code to nullify the TDS effect in FB60 and to process open item of FB60 against the advance payment through F-48.
Now it working fine while open item clearance ( there is 1Re.diff which we are rounding up).
But while making TDS payment through J1INCHLN two of the entries posted through F-54 ( KA Documents ) are not getting picked up as a result there is differenc between total TDS payable & what is shown in J1INCHLN open items.
On checking in WITH_ITEM table it is found that Receipent type is not updating for these particular entries.
Additional observation : we have three tds codes for basic, surcharge & E cess and three seperate line items are generated for each while posting TDS. It is observed that for these particular invoices as the amount is in hundreds the E cess amt is less than Re.1 so the only two line items are created i.e. Basic & Surchage.
Please guide us for solving this.

You have to check two tables :
T059C for Receipient types for country IN whether all the WH Types are maintained for CO and OT.
V_T001RWT - WHT Rounding Rules - normally it will be 100 for INR (min Re.1) you may have to change it.
