Edge transport send email gmail by IPv6

I had a server that is running Windows Server 2008 with Exchange 2007. I had disabled IPv6 on this server, as I am only using IPv4 for
my external IP. On my DNS entries, I not IPv6 entry. But I view log detail

Send Gmail: IPV6  . This is my error

I do not know reason ?
Please help me

The error is related to your SPF record that you have defined for your domain.  The record probably only has the external IPv4 IP address on it. You need to do one of two things:
1) Disable IPv6  completely on the 2008 server -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929852/en-us
or
2) Add the external IPv6 address to the SPF record -
http://www.bentasker.co.uk/documentation/linux/186-is-your-spf-record-complete
Hope that helps.

  • Email client does not send email (gmail account)

I configured the email account correctly and can see inbox emails. The problem occurs when sending out emails. It keeps trying without giving any error so I have to kill the app to use the client again.
I have a double secured gmail account but I created a unique signin password for this client

    Hi Gabriele Vidali,
I used the double-secured feature on my Gmail account and then created a unique password for the Mail app in my Firefox OS device with Flame v2.0.
I was able to send and receive emails from my double-secure Gmail account with no problems. I didn't receive any errors when sending the email, and the automatic sync worked correctly.
Where did you download version 2.1 from?
I would suggest rolling back your Flame device to at least version 2.0. The version that you are currently using is still very unstable, and it's still actively being worked on, so it's not uncommon that features and apps will break.
Version 2.1 is scheduled to be Feature Complete on October 13th, and then there will still be stabilization and optimization work done on it. Mozilla's code on version 2.1 of Firefox OS is scheduled to be Code Complete on November 21, 2014 - so there's still a lot of work to be done on that version. =)
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you are still having issues sending and syncing your emails on more stable versions of Firefox OS.
    Thanks,
    - Ralph

  • Can't send email over EDGE from hosted gmail domain. Works fine over WIFI

I'm trying to send email from my google apps hosted doman over EDGE network.
I'm using port 587, SSL, authentication: password.
Works fine over WIFI but edge network rejects it every time.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Ben

I'm running into the exact same issue. However, I am running my own mail server and not going through Gmail. On wi-fi, everything works fine. On Edge, I receive the error message indicating that the server is not responding, unable to connect to server, etc. I spoke to Apple support and they just walked me through the settings and said that they did not know what was wrong and suspected there is something wrong with the phone and wanted me to take it to the retail store to have them look at it and possibly send it in for repair. When I spoke to ATT they said that they are not experiencing any disruptions in the Edge network and that they also suspect it is the phone. I personally do not believe it is a defective phone. I upgraded my phone a couple of days ago the 1.1.2 firmware and within 24 hours later I started having this problem. I also tried setting up a connection to my .mac account and experienced the exact same thing there, so I know it is not isolated to my mail server. Funny thing is, I can access the internet over the Edge network just fine, so this has something to do with either the mail ports being blocked somehow within the Edge network or has to do something with the Mail Application on the iPhone which is not recognizing or not able to connect through the establised Edge connection. Maybe there is some sort of firewall on the iPhone that is blocking those ports? If anyone from Apple or ATT is listening, please investigate! I do not want to mail my phone in for repair when it is a perfectly good phone and may be able to be fixed with another firmware update.

  • Sending emails via edge transport server fails

    Hello,
I am using Exchange 2013 edge server in my DMZ to send emails, but it refuses to send messages to Internet. Once I create a Internet send connector on my CAS server, mails are easily sent to the Internet. My edge subscription and sync happened successfully.
As edge server did not send any emails to the Internet, I checked the message queue on my CAS servers and I noticed that my messages are in the message queue on my CAS server. Could you please help me sort out my issue? Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Pooriya
    Pooriya Aghaalitari

    Hi
Can you tell us the last error that you can see in the message queue.
Just run get-edgesynchronization and see the results
What happens if you telnet to edge server fqdn from the cas server on port 25 ?
If nothing helps i would recommend you to remove and recreate the edge subscription file  and see the results.

  • Edge Transport Server Fails DNS Query When Emailing to one Specific Domain

This issue occurs for the same domain across three different edge transport servers.
All servers are Windows 2008 STD SP2, Exchange 2007 SP1 U9.  Emails are delivered using DNS connector from edge.  Emails to this one specific domain would sit in the retry queue with DNS query error until NDR was generated.  Connectivity Logging generated the following:
2009-09-01T19:52:23.539Z,08CBEDE9198E2DC3,SMTP,subdomain.domain.com,>,DNS server returned ErrorRetry reported by 208.241.124.200
2009-09-01T19:52:23.539Z,08CBEDE9198E2DC3,SMTP,subdomain.domain.com,-,The DNS query for 'DnsConnectorDelivery':'subdomain.domain.com':'cd771f71-77a3-4aca-b002-86f477816910' failed with error: ErrorRetry
I changed the servers DNS settings to different servers with the same response.  Validated that manual MX lookups worked, and that I could telnet to any of the three MX records and deliver mail via telnet.
I did a packet capture and received the following:
    12    32.280037    172.28.16.55    208.241.124.200    DNS    Standard query AAAA SMTPSERVER.subdomain.domain.com
So what is happening is the Edge servers are only performing IP6 lookups, and throughout the log, only for subdomain.domain.com do they NOT perform a regular IP4 A record lookup.  I then went about disabling TCP/IP6 as per this article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/network/cc987595.aspx
this stated to do the following:
Alternately, from the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 desktop, click Start , point to Programs , point to Accessories , and then click Command Prompt . At the command prompt, type netsh interface ipv6 uninstall .
To remove the IPv6 protocol for Windows XP with no service packs installed, do the following:
Log on to the computer with a user account that has local administrator privileges.
From the Windows XP desktop, click Start , point to Programs , point to Accessories , and then click Command Prompt .
At the command prompt, type ipv6 uninstall .
Unlike Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, IPv6 in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 cannot be uninstalled. However, you can disable IPv6 in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 by doing one of the following:
In the Network Connections folder, obtain properties on all of your connections and adapters and clear the check box next to the Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) component in the list under This connection uses the following items .
This method disables IPv6 on your LAN interfaces and connections, but does not disable IPv6 on tunnel interfaces or the IPv6 loopback interface.
Add the following registry value (DWORD type) set to 0xFF:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\DisabledComponents
This method disables IPv6 on all your LAN interfaces, connections, and tunnel interfaces but does not disable the IPv6 loopback interface. You must restart the computer for this registry value to take effect.
I did the above, and still, the Edge Transport servers would only perform AAAA lookups, and messages would sit in the queue.
As temporary workaround, created new send connector with the three available MX hosts as possible smarthosts for subdomain.domain.com, and this allowed email flow.
I've tried disabling the TCPIP6, and still doesnt work.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Allen and Paul,
we experience problems in receiving mails from senders with this Exchage server problem. When we are aware of the problem, we send them the above mentioned link and ask them to make adjustments. Then afterwards usually mail arrives without any problems.
The problem for us is that it seems as if the problem grows. More and more mail does not arrive on our mailadresses (mine for example is [email protected]) And not all of the senders recieve notifications that mail cannot be delivered. As you can imagine
this situation is unacceptable and damaging our customer relations.
Is there anything WE can do? (apart from sending them the information to make adjustements in their Exchange servers...)
I hope you can help us...
    Thanks in advance
    Leonard
    Hi Leonard,
as stated below we where experiencing the same problem with one of our customers. Seeing that it's a DNS related problem we suggested to the customer to change or add an additional DNS service through i.e. dyndns.com. After adding the current DNS records
to the new DNS service mail started coming in from every customer that had problems.
So for your clients i would suggest a similar solution, it helped over here at least.
    Kind regards,
    Philipp

  • Failure to send email using gmail server

I am using gmail account and I use thunderbird to download all the emails and to compose my emails. Now I'm trying to write a java application that will send out emails. Since I'm still in school I am using gmail account for the class project.

  • Edge Transport Role as Email Gateway

    Hi Experts,
We are planing to deploy exchange email server (Exchange Server-2013 Multi-Role servers) in our HQ (contoso.com) and 4 Edge Transport in other 4  client development sites(client1.com, clinet2.com, client3.com and Client4.com) so that applications running
in HQ can send emails to respective client development sites domain using edge transport. Development sites are using external email address (mail.clinet1.com and so on). There is no requirement of incoming mail on Edge in Client site because they have compete
hosted email solution. Just our Edge transport in client will process the mail received from HQ and will forward to Client's  External email address.
I would appreciate if you can help me to get answer for these queries.
Do you think this conceptual design is possible? Exchange solution in HQ and Edge transport in Client site and that Edge will forward emails to External Domain using send connector for  restive client's domain?
What secure (Only secure) port we need to open on Edge so that It can talk to External Email servers to deliver emails?
If we don't want to expose our Multi-Role exchange severs in HQ to Internet , do you think Exchange server in HQ  should be capable for incoming emails using one additional EDGE or still need to expose CAS services in HQ. We need Outlook, OWA and
Active Sync as well for HQ (contoso.com).
What secure port we need to open in case of CAS server?

    Hi  Lynx
    Thank you for your question.
I think you have a CAS and mailbox in your site. In order to receive HQ’s email, you can create accept domain, you can refer to the following link:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124423(v=exchg.150).aspx
in your HQ, I suggest you can separate multi-role servers into two parts, you can do NLB and DAG, because NLB cannot co-existed with DAG. I also suggest you have an edge server in your HQ.
If client site want to talk to external email, you need to register domain name in your ISP, for example mail.domain.com,autodiscovery.domain.com……
Secure ports were opened  that is determined  the connect way of your outlook; the more details you can refer to the following link:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/02/18/exchange-firewalls-and-support-oh-my.aspx
If there are any questions, please let me know.
    Best Regard,
    Jim

  • NO LUCK sending email (with Comcast) via the EDGE Network

Cannot Send E-Mail via EDGE Network
My primary email account is with Comcast, and using my iPhone with any Wi-Fi network I am successfully able to send/receive email.
However, using the EDGE network I cannot send email. I found a tip on appending a port number to the outgoing mail setting (smtp.comcast.net), but this didn't work either.
I consistently get one of these two error messages:
"Sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server"
    -or-
"The connection to the server 'smtp.comcast.net' failed"
I can receive email with either EDGE or Wi-Fi networks.
Any suggestions? I need to be able to not only receive but also SEND email via the EDGE network.
    Any help will be appreciated!
    Tim

Your other option is to sign up for a free GMail account, and use their outgoing server. You need to create your account on the iPhone using the "Other" shortcut, which allows you to specify your comcast address, your comcast incoming mail server, but the GMail outgoing server. This will work with both Edge and WiFi.

  • Cannot send email using Gmail after iOS 5

Since updating to iOS 5, I cannot send email from my Gmail account on my iPhone. I receive email fine, but when trying to send I get the error:
    Cannot Send Mail
Check the settings for the outgoing servers in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
I have erased my Gmail account and re-set it up numerous times, and restarted my phone in between doing so. The wizard works perfectly fine, my password is accepted, and like I mentioned email comes in perfectly. I do not have this problem sending mail from iCloud on the same phone.
One thing I did do is attempt setting Gmail up as an Exchange account so that I could use push, but it killed my battery so I erased it. This might have been when the problem began but I'm not positive.

I'm not sure what exactly I did that finally fixed it, but I erased my iCloud and Gmail accounts, restarted the phone, and added Gmail first. But I removed Gmail so many times who knows what actually did it.

  • I had a power failure 2 days ago, have power now, but cannot send email from my iPad. Everything was fine before that. The box says cannot send mail, the user name or password for Gmail is incorrect. I haven't changed anything. I need help. Thanks

    Hi
I had a power failure 2 days ago, my computer is running again, but now I cannot send email from my iPad using Cox or my gmail account. I am receiving mail in my Cox account but not my gmail account. It was working fine until the power failure. It keeps telling me, the user name or password for Gmail is incorrect. I have not changed anything. I don't know what is wrong. Can anyone help me? Thanks

I agree, unplug and replug your router, then reset your iPad by holding down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the red power down slider, and wait til you see the silver apple. let it reboot and then try your connection.
Chances are rebooting the router will help. You may also need to talk to cox. They may need to reset something on their end.

  • Messaging Server cannot send email to gmail but can send email to yahoo

I'm using Messaging server 7.0. My company's domain is {color:#ff0000}*sun-vietnam.com*{color} and the email server name is {color:#ff0000}*mail.sun-vietnam.com*{color}, this name is {color:#ff0000}*registered and resolved*{color} correctly in the DNS server of the ISP.
When using an email account form this domain, I can send email to an email address from {color:#ff0000}*yahoo.com*{color} such as {color:#ff0000}****@yahoo.com*{color} and the {color:#ff0000}****@yahoo.com*{color} account can receives this email immediately.
But when I try to send an email address to an email address from {color:#ff0000}*gmail.com*{color} such as {color:#ff0000}****@gmail.com*{color}, the email succesfully sent without no error notified, however the {color:#ff0000}****@gmail.com*{color} account cannot receives this email although I waited for serveral days.
If anyone know the solution to fix this problem, please help me, thanks all of you very much.

    Hi Shane.
I'm so sorry, the administrator in my company didn't provide enough information for me.
Actually, when I sent email to ***@gmail.com, there was a notification sent to me by the system. The error notification is :

  • Gmail on iPhone4: can receive email but cannot send email

I am using a brand new iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1. I can receive emails from Gmail without any problems, but when trying to send emails I get the error message "the connection to the outgoing server 'smtp.gmail.com' failed. Additional outgoing mail servers can be configured in settings..."
After spending many (!!!) hours on this, I suspect it comes down to one setting in "mail, contacts, calendar", then gmail account information > outgoing mail server > smto.gmail.com; authentication is preset on "MD5 Challenge". This text is grey and cannot be altered. I assume the setting must be "password" instead, but how the *** can I change this?
    Desperate. Please enlighten me!
    Merry Christmas!

I solved my problem.  Thanks razmee209 for your response.

  • Problems sending email using Edge

OK, I have my own email server hosted with the company that hosts all of my websites (Cyberwurx)... They use port 25 for their outgoing mail server.
I am able to receive email just fine using WIFI or Edge.
However, when using Edge I can not seem to send email consistently. Every now and then it will work, but most often I get a "cannot connect to outgoing mail server" error when trying. As soon as I switch over to WIFI, the email sends perfectly.
Any idea what is going on here? Is AT&T blocking port 25?

Hi this thread may help. It is to do with the servers.
    Best regards
