Edge Web Fonts - not showing up

Hey Everyone,
Using Edge right now and having issues with Web Fonts.   I'm using Edge Animate CC.  When I choose a Web Font I can see it in the drop down list of available fonts but when I choose it nothing happens.  When I Preview the HTML page I also don't see the updated Font applied to the text.  When I switch fonts between the old statndard fonts I can see it change on the stage and in Preview but when using Web Fonts I am getting nothing.  Any suggestions?  Is this a current Bug?  Screen shot attached to show how the selected Font is not appearing on the stage.  I am using the most current version 3.0.
Thanks!

You do need to choose add font with the plus sign. Then it shoud appear in the right windows.

  • Edge Web Fonts not loading properly

    I've been having trouble with the Adobe Edge Web Fonts loading within the past few days. Using four different ones, sometimes a couple but not all load at this point, and sometimes none. So not sure what the issue could be because it looks to be happening on different files and on different computers as well. Any suggestions?

    Okay, so it seems like i can reproduce it on new files. The problem occurs from selecting certain fonts. Bangers is one i was using and seems to have issues after selecting. In the add font box, after selecting it, other fonts no longer become available and fall back to the default ones. So trying this on two different computers with a new file can mean it is either a web font issue, or some odd occurence my internet connection is causing. Any help is appreciated.

  • Many Edge Web Fonts not displaying properly, help ?!!!

    From this morning, and for the second time in only 10 days, some web fonts in our Edge projects aren't displaying properly anymore !
    We're having issues with Maiden Orange, Italianna or even Amatic but when i go on https://edgewebfonts.adobe.com/ at least 75% of the fonts previews are wrong and shows default ones on Safari, Chrome or even Firefox : WTF ?
    So it's clearly coming from Adobe's font service, and i hope that they will solve it ASAP cause it's a huge thing for us and our clients !

  • Web fonts not showing up correctly in safari

    Hi,
    It seems that this is getting worse, but I'm finding ALOT of sites where Safari doesn't render web fonts correctly. They work fine in Firefox, but Safari is my default browser.
    Is there a trick to fixing this?
    I can even copy out the text, paste it somewhere else and it looks fine.
    thanks-
    Dave

    Back up all data.
    Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and the support article linked below for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them, then boot in safe mode* (by holding down the shift key at the startup chime) to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.
    Mac 101: Font Book
    *Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. In that case only, after running Font Book, launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo atsutil databases -remove
    You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. After running the command, reboot as usual.

  • Web font not showing in design mode.

    Hi all.
    I'm having problems all of a sudden with my webfont not showing/ preveiwing in design mode.
    eg. the menu currently looks like this (design mode):
    when it should like this:
    The font i'm using is Babas Neue. It shows perfectly in preveiw mode and when exported but in design mode shows incorrectly. Even the sample in the font drop down is wrong.
    Does anyone have any ideas about how to rectify this? I've tried re-installing Muse to no avail.
    Cheers,
    Andy
    I'd really appreciate some help. I'm hoping it's something simple.
    Thanks,

  • How do I include 'Edge Web Fonts' into Edge Animate?

    How do I include 'Edge Web Fonts' (not Google Web Fonts) into Edge Animate?

    Have you tried to use google fonts? I have used them and they work for me.
    When you add your font for example:
    Copy paste:
    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Finger+Paint' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
    and then for font family.
    'Finger Paint', cursive;
    then select addfont on the addfont screen

  • How do you add/use typekit fonts that are not edge web fonts?

    I am just trying out the new Muse CC 2014.1 (August) release and was keen to try the new font facilities.  As far as I can see that while I can now add other fonts for which I have downloaded web font files via the Self Hosted Web Fonts function, Typekit fonts that are not "Adobe Edge Web Fonts" are effectively unavailable?  Have I missed something.
    As an example I want to use the Proxima Nova web font family.  I have selected it on the type kit site, set them up to Sync via my Creative Cloud account.  So for example if I select a font in Photoshop CC or Illustrator, the Proxima Nova fonts appear. Even ok in Word for Mac.  They do not appear in Muse.
    To add them as self hosted web fonts, I would need to physically download the relevant fonts files and install them on my desktop using the OS-X font tool.  However as they are being sync'd via Creative Cloud this shouldn't be necessary should it?  Also I don't see an option for doing so on the typekit site.
    Any help or guidance would be very welcome.
    PS:  I seem to have a separate issue with the Creative Cloud app, which is not listing fonts under the Assets tab.  But I don't think that is related as they are working fine for Photoshop, etc.

    Hi David,
    I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. To add fonts from Typekit to your Muse website, you will want to use the web fonts path instead of desktop fonts.  (You can use a desktop font synced from Typekit in your Muse design, but it will exported as an image the same as any other system font.)
    There are a couple options for using Typekit web fonts in Muse:
    o) The Muse Insider wrote a post on how to insert the Typekit embed code from the Muse interface:
    http://museinsider.com/how-to-add-typekit-fonts-to-your-muse-site.html
    o) Or you can add the embed code to the Page Properties dialog within Muse, which will include it in the <head> of the page when you export your website. The steps are the same as this tutorial, but you will add the Typekit embed code to Muse instead of into your page directly:
    TYPEKIT | Adding fonts to your site
    Note that in either case the Typekit fonts will not be displayed in the Muse preview window. You'll need to publish your site to a server in order for the Typekit fonts to be loaded into the page.
    If those look like more coding that you are comfortable with, you might try one of the fonts which you can select from the font menu instead. Here are some that are similar to :
    https://edgewebfonts.adobe.com/fonts#/?xHeight=high&contrast=low&class=sans-serif&width=re gular
    We are also working on a more complete integration of Typekit with Muse in the future, but I can't say yet when that will be available.
    >> PS:  I seem to have a separate issue with the Creative Cloud app, which is not listing fonts under the Assets tab.  But I don't think that is related as they are working fine for Photoshop, etc.
    Do you see a "loading" icon in the tab (e.g. a blue spinner wheel)?  It sounds similar to this thread; you might try these suggestions:
    Re: Adobe Creative Cloud / Desktop App / Home Screen: Constant Spinning Wheel
    I hope that this helps; let me know if you have any other questions.  Best,

  • How do you use edge web font in Edge Reflow?

    By default, I don't have a lot of fonts. It's just viewing a few of them.
    How can you get the web font for Edge Reflow? Can you use font from fontbook?
    Is there a way to download Edge Web Font?

    Above: using Brandon Grotesque (web use font) does not display the correct font.
    I'm using Typekit and have an internet connection. If I switch to a "desktop use" font, it shows up, so I'm guessing the "web use" only fonts won't show in Reflow. A little frustrating when you're trying to get an accurate preview/determine best font styling because of the back-and-forth workflow.
    Above: using Source Sans Pro (desktop use font) does display the correct font.

  • How to use Adobe Edge Web Fonts correctly

    I am a Dreamweaver newbie and am trying to learn how to use it through the tutorials. I am stuck at part 3 trying to use Adobe Edge Web Fonts correctly in my web site. As far as I can tell I have followed the instructions in the tutorial correctly, but the font style effect does not show up on my site. I am working on a Windows 7 machine and using Dreamweaver 5.5. I have copied and pasted the javascript into the correct spot in the head of the index.html page as well as included the font-family name in the CSS file and saved the whole smash. The source code for my index page looks exactly like the sample in the tutorial, and I have tried to view my site in my browser, but no dice. Doesn't display the Edge Web Font style in the web page. I believe I've done everything according to the directions, but I suppose I've missed some small detail. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

    You need to add a <script> to the head of your documents like the example below.  In my example, I'm using all of the aguafina-script and league-gothic fonts.
    <!--Edge Font-->
    <script src="//use.edgefonts.net/aguafina-script:n4:all;league-gothic:n4:all.js"></script>
    CSS:
         h1 {
         font-family: league-gothic, sans-serif;
         font-weight:bold;
         color: #639;
         font-size: 250%;
    A simple way to get the correct codes is to go to Adobe Edge Web Fonts and select the font you wish to use.
    https://edgewebfonts.adobe.com/fonts
    NOTE: You won't see the custom web fonts displayed in Design View, Live View or when previewed locally unless you use a local testing server.  An easier way to test is by uploading the page to your remote server.
    Hope this helps,
    Nancy O.

  • Typekit embedded fonts not showing in Live Preview?

    Not Edge Web fonts, but is Typekit supported yet?

    Thanks for your reply.
    I have this in the header:
    <script src="http://use.typekit.net/xxxxxxx.js"></script>
        <script>try{Typekit.load();}catch(e){}</script>
    The site loads locally and remotely with fonts showing correctly from Typekit...just not in Edge Code live preview. (xxxxxxx is for placement)

  • Adding Edge Web Fonts to DreamWeaver

    I added this question to the forum about 24 hours ago and I haven't had any response yet. If anyone could possibly help me in the next few hours I would be so grateful because I have allocated this week to learning the basics of DreamWeaver and so far I have spent 10.5 hours trying to change the font of a single word!
    I am following the Getting Started tutorials which link from CS4 although they are actually written for CS6. On the third tutorial I am trying to follow item number 4 and pasting an edge web fonts family into the sample site. No matter where I try to paste it (and believe me, I have pasted it in a LOT of different places) either nothing changes at all on the browser view, or all the text on the page changes to comic sans. It is supposed to be just the title word, 'Check', changing to Sarina. Could anyone possibly post a screen shot showing exactly where I should be pasting this code?
    Many thanks
    Joanne

    Joanne, firstly, Dreamweaver will probably never show the font.
    I am not familiar with the tutorial you are following, but the way to insert a particular typeface into a website is usually done the same way Google tells you to on their webfonts page.
    To embed a font into your web page, insert a link to the font as the first element in the <head> of your HTML document.
    For example, if you are using Google's Stalinist font, you would put the following in the <head> section of your web page (before the <body> and before you link to your style sheet:
    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Stalinist+One' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
    Next you would add the font into your style sheet in CSS:
    font-family: 'Stalinist One', cursive;
    So, if you wanted to use Stalinist for your <h1> elements, you would do the following to define these header tags:
    h1 {
    font-size: 3em;
    font-family: 'Stalinist One', cursive;
    Now, in your HTML page, in the body, anything you gave the h1 tag to would show up as Stalinist—but only in a web browser with access to the Google page and not in Dreamweaver.

  • How do you invoke Edge Web Fonts?

    Assuming this is available in this release, how to you bring up the Edge Web Fonts capability?

    Hi Phil,
    You should be able to trigger the code hints manually anywhere in the font-family value by pressing Ctrl+Space.  It should also pop up automatically if you type "," followed by a space anywhere in the value.  Are those approaches not working for your code?  (If so, please post a snippet of your CSS here so we can investigate).

  • Eastern european edge web font lora

    Hi, I've designed a website using edge web font "Lora" in czech language. It looks good on my Mac, but when viewing on iPhone, iPad or PC (all browsers), there are not international characters like č, ř, š, ě... I know, that this typeface contains all characters. is there any easy way to fix this problem, setting up different codepage for instance? thanks, tom

    You may be using a subset of the font's character set. Make sure you've selected the All characters option.
    <script src="//use.edgefonts.net/lora:n4,i4,n7,i7:all.js"></script>
    In regards to the character set to use in the HTML, it should be utf-8.
    <meta charset="utf-8">

  • Web Fonts not displaying on 8.1 RT

    I'm using Smythe (Edge Web Font) and Pirata One (Google Web Font) in an Animate 3.0 composition. The fonts are working perfectly on all my test devices except my Window 8.1 RT tablet. I have several previous 2.0 animations with web fonts and they're working fine on 8.1 RT. Anyone run into this problem? Below are the stats:
    Dev Environment;
    Windows 7, 64 bit
    Edge Animate 3.0
    Working on;
    All Desktop Browsers
    iPad
    iPhone
    Kindle Fire HD
    Motorola Droid Bionic
    Ematic Android Tablet
    Not working on;
    Dell XPS 10 Tablet

    Okay, disregard this post. I had the doc compatibility set wrong. I accidentally had;
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1">
    I should of had it set too;
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge"/>
    Everything works fine now.

  • Edge Web Fonts in DreamWeaver CS4

    Can anyone please confirm whether CS4 can work with Edge Web Fonts? I have followed the DreamWeaver official tutorial, plus two others I found on YouTube, to the letter, but my text still seems to be in Comic Sans, which is not the font I copied. if I just knew it couldn't be done in CS4 I could stop now, as I have already spent 4.5 hours trying to change the font of one word!
    Thanks
    Joanne

    Hi Joanne,
    I'm not quite sure if Edge fonts work with CS4, but there is one error source in DW's advice of the "JavaScript tag", it's written without ""http: ...", so please try: <script src="http://use.edgefonts.net/source-sans-pro; ...".
    Good luck!
