EDI messages for ASN and POD - general flow

Hi,
We are looking to send an Advance Shipping Notification Idoc / EDI message to our customer as we despatach and they will send a Proof Of Delivery EDI message to us confirming receipt and quantities.
Am I right in saying that the customer MUST take our delivery item numbers and refer to them with the POD message so that we know which item they are refering to? I think they should otherwise we won't know which item they are referring to. On the other hand I cannot see customers being interested in our item numbers.
Any experience on this?

You are right that the customer wants a referene number and therefore the delivery number can be used ... so when the POD comes back the delivery number will be referenced ... but my issue is with the items in the delivery
We could have items 900001, 900002 etc and each of these need to be referenced in the POD. So the custoomer woudl need to reference these which I dont think they are likely to do.
I also suspect I am wrong .. but when I try the POD IDOC with WE19 test tool I have to enter the item number .. so either the customer has to send it or we have to do some ABAP to identify the item somehow I think?

That generally has to do with data corruption. Is your data backed up?

Messages received before september 4th are not more readable. However , not problem of reading for incoming messages for yesterday and today. How can I recover old messages ??ges dated

Hi , All my incoming messages up to September 4th on one of my mail accounts are impossible to be read again !! When I 'click" on any of the messages a blank window appears instead of the text..!! However , all the incoming messages received yesterday and today are perfectly readable.
How can I solve this problem ?

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup

EDI messages for transportation carriers

what are the main EDI types associated with shipment by a carrier, we want to be able to update this information in the delivery document when we are planning shipment with a proposed carrier to our customers, I have investigated the possibilities of using Idoc type SHPMNT03 message type SHPMNT, does anyone have a working knowledge of this business scenario
To this effect the carrier has sent us a document with their EDI interface so we have to map our requirements

Which BADI craete a New Button 'Message' for PO and How?!

I just work in a retail project, and client wants to get one more button on purchase order screen (WebPage) as 'Message' to get to the screen to get access all output message assgined to this purchase order.
the customizing is:
SPRO -> Logistics general -> SAP Retail Store -> Purchase order -> Enhancements Using Business Add-Ins, with possible BADIs that can be used for this enhancement
How shall I define this BADI?!

Edi messages for stock transfer

Hello gurus,
lately our company has start to use service of the external warehouse. I was asked to organise the process of the inventory stock transfer between warehouse in system, but our external warehouse is 3rd party which is running another system.
so, is it possible to make somehow the stock transfer - e.g. reservations and confirmation of this reservation using EDI?

Error Messages for iTunes and Quicktime, what do I do?

Hello, I'm in need of some help.
Let me walk you all through what I did for the last 4 hours:
(important note: I suck at far too much computer stuff, so I am fully aware that as you read the following, at certain points I probably made the problem much worse than it needed to be, I am not proud of this, but everything you read did happen, stupid as it probably was for me to pursue the problems in the particular way that I did. Hindsight is 20/20.)
I updated my iTunes v7.7 to v8.0 today, and after trying it out for a while decided that I didn't like it and wanted to go back to what I was using before.
So, because I didn't know what else to do, I tried to re-install the original iTunes software that came with my iPod (a 20gig classic I bought in 2004). That version of iTunes was v6.0 (again, 3 years ago).
Part way through the installation process, I got a message that said that, because I had a newer version of iTunes on the computer already, it wouldn't install the version on the disk.
So I uninstalled v8.0, restarted my computer, and installed the v6.0 from the CD-ROM I had.
It was then that I found I had NONE of the 6000+ songs in my iTunes window. I checked my computers files to find that they were still in the library, but my iTunes screen was completely devoid of all my music.
So I tried to get it all back on the player. I discovered that by right-clicking "Play" for the individual files from the folders in my iTunes that they would come up on the player, but that meant that I'd be clicking in 6000+ songs, one by one, till they were all back. I didn't want to do that.
So I tried a system restore (again, read "important note" at top of post). After that happened and I was looking at my desktop again, tried opening iTunes, and it gave me a message that said:
"iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
And it asks if I wanna send an error report. I decline, then try opening Quicktime. Same message. So I try to uninstall both programs (i know, i know, "important note"), and iTunes uninstalls, Quicktime does not, because, as my computer puts it, "a fatal error occurs."
But since I have iTunes uninstalled, I go to apples site and download iTunes v8.0 again. After waiting for all that to get done, I get the same error message.
So I peruse this very discussion forum, and after looking for a good while at what is being recommended I go to a site and download v7.7 again.
Again, I get the same error message.
So here I am. I've tried working it out myself for the last 4 hours, and I seem to have made things worse.
So please, please, PLEASE, I ask for any help you can provide.
Can I get my iTunes back?
Is my Quicktime corrupted now?
Am I totally screwed?

I had the same problem when I went to upgrade to 8 and then downgrade back to 7.7. To fix this is a little involved, but you can do it. Let me put it this way, I talked my mother through it on the phone, and she has a hard time finding the power button So no worries, I'll help you get back up and running. I am running Vista now, so I am going off of memory for Vista, so bear with me.
I would do the following:
1. Uninstall both iTunes and Quicktime by going to Control Panel-Add Remove Programs, and choosing first Quicktime then iTunes.
2. Clean your registry. Easy now, it is not that hard. To do it, go to http://www.ccleaner.com/download and download CCleaner. It is free and has NO spyware. Install it and run the registry cleaner. It will remove any trace of both programs from the registry. Now you have 2 choices.
3a. Now I would install iTunes 8. Because you already installed it once, it converted its database file that it uses to track the library and play lists up to the iTunes 8 standard.
3b. If you have no problem loosing your playlists and library settings, you can go back to iTunes 7.7. To do this, first search for "itunes.ttl". To do this, go to Start-Search Files and Folders- and type in "iTunes.ttl" Once the search finishes, it will tell you where it is located. Navigate there using Windows Explorer or My Computer and delete it. Now you can install iTunes 7.7 with out any errors. You will not loose any files! just your playlists and it will not remember what is in your library.
As far as adding your songs again, did you try to re-importing your music? If you go to the file menu-add folder to library. It will bring up a dialogue box that will allow you to browse to the folder with your music.

EDI Message for Scheduling Agreement Schedule Lines

Hi Experts,
My client has the EDI set up for the SASL and is running fine.
Currently we have scheduled background program to trigger the IDOC and convert the IDOC into XML to send the information to the external system via interface after MRP run.Output type in the SASL will be triggered at header level (Without release documentation) whenever there is a new or change in the schedule line. Schedule line will be fixed automatically for every MRP run based on the Firm zone maintained in scheduling agreement.
Now the requirement is, Client wants to send the schedule lines regardless of New or change after MRP run sothat all the information will be sent to the suppliers. This requirement may be contradictory one but the client needs it.
1) For the New schedule line creation the output type will be triggered so no issues the program will take care
2) For the change schedule line also the output type will be triggered so No problem.
Requirement :
1) When there is no new & change in the schedule lines , how we can handle this???
2) Client wants to fix the schedule lines based on the planned delivery time and they do not want to maintain this PDT in the Firm zone field.??

Can you elaborate bit more on the issue.
see if you are not mentioning the PDT in the firm zone field. then it means the schedule lines can be changed and once they are changed the change idoc will get trigger.
however if there is no change in the schedule line and since its a old one there will not be any idoc generation for this.
seems as per your requirement you want to get the idoc generated for the old line as welll then u need to look for the anhancement badi/uer exit to map this.
need more insight of the issue to resolve it

After AVG PC Tune up, software update message for security and stability update is available FireFox 3.6.18. Should I Update?

My Dell laptop (Operating on Windows XP) was hit with multiple viruses - I could not open Mozilla Firefox or any other applications for that matter. After much time and many attempts, I was finally able to install and run an AVG Scan and then an AVG PC Tune up. 4,559 problems found and repaired. After the repairs, I received the following message:
"Software Update - A security and stability update for Firefox is available: Firefox 3.6.18 - It is strongly recommended that you apply this update for Firefox as soon as possible. - an underlined link reading, "View more information about this update" and then 2 choices - "Ask Later" or "Update Firefox." Since part of the problem was with Firefox and some error messages pointed to that, I'm hesitant to click on any of the three options above. Can you help me to get past this error message, please. I am sending this from my home computer. Thank you. Diane

Exception message for PrdOrd and Planned order

It possible based on prdord and planned ord we need to get the Exception message information. It's there any standard transaction code or any sqvi report?

Please find this information in MD04 (single order). i am looking for same time multple orders with exception message report.

You can use MD06 with refrence to you plant and MRP Controllers. Also you can define your own traffic lights so that based on these you get your exception messages.

Problem with Outbound EDI messages for shipping

Hi Experts,
we automatically generate the output SHAD (for shipment notification SHPADV) into the SD-transport.
We are facing the problem that sometimes the output works (green) and sometimes not (yellow).
When not, the status of the SHAD output is yellow and we can't find it into the VT70.
Any idea ?
PS: the SD-Transport has been generated into a Z-Programm and Batch Input.

This could be the problem of confilting namespace or combinations.
in receive action just check that right message interface is configured at Inbound side.
just check any place void ?
1)just check the name as case sensitive.
2)Just check is there interface belongs to right software component.
3)Just check mapping assigned to the right combination or not.
its better to cross check all the component are assigned to right place or not.

EDI Workflow for errors and TEDE5

Not sure this is the exact right place to ask this question but it concerns workflow. I just need to know how can I start or stop workflow from happening for edi errors. Either inbound or outbound. I have discovered there has been code placed in the sap supplied function module(EDI_DATA_INCOMING) that call another FM to start workflow(IDOC_ERROR_WORKFLOW_START). It passes an "Event Code". for instance EDII. This event has a task associated with it which creates the workflow item. Does anyone know how to configure or maintain these event codes. There are several tables associated with them that I have found one being TEDE5. I think there should be a t-code somewhere or a configuration area that allows these to be activated or inactivated. I base this on the fact that there is a column in the table for "inaktiv". Also the code checks for the inaktiv value and exits if it is inactive. Just need to know if anyone knows how to manage these tables concerning workflow.

I have found the answer myself. There is a view over this table. VEDI_TEDE5. This can be maintained in SM30 and the changes transported. The inacktiv column can be selected to inactivate any of the event codes.

View Postings and Messages for Valuation and Translation

Hi Everyone,
Inevitably after valuation (FAGL_FC_VAL) or translation (FAGL_FC_TRANS) is run at month-end and the user exits out of the transaction, questions arise as to how certain items were revalued or translated. What I'm trying to locate is if there is a way to retrieve the details from the "Posting", "Messages" and main screen view of the transaction AFTER the user has exited the transaction. Are those logs stored somewhere or is there a way to recreate the data somehow?
These are the items that I would like to be able to retrieve at anypoint:
The program generates three lists:
List of valuated line items or G/L account balances
List of postings or posting proposals
List of messages (own spool file)

Unfortunately, there's no option in standard functionality to realize the requirement.
One workaround is to identify all valuation/reversal documents. For valuation document, BKPF-BKTXT is filled with "FC Valuation" and reversal with "Reverse posting", so it's not difficult to identify documents.
Also processed documents and valuation difference is stored in table FAGL_BSBW_HISTRY (for items) FAGL_BSBW_HST_BL (for balance). Maybe these tables contain necessary info.

When I read EDI cookbook, I found that control numbers can be generated by B2B server.
If you want B2B to generate these kind of data, you need to follow certain rules
1. back end application should send payload with certain keywords
example-

When I tried this, I am getting InternalXPathExpressionException
1. Can anybody knows list of keywords supported in EDI doc generation ?
2. How to use them ?
