EDI , where to check is using EDIFACT or ANSI standard ?
hi all SAP expert,
I am new to EDI, where can i check whether my current system us using EDIFACT or ANSI or others protocol from SAP tcode ?
Is it tcode WE20, under the tab "EDI Standard" ?
Rejoice !
Hi,
From SAP system, you doesn't know whether you are using either EDIFACT or ANSI format of the EDI message, unless and until you maintain that information in your SAP system as they are not mandatory information in SAP.
You can goto WE20 transaction and double click on your message type and then goto EDI standard tab and you can find the details like EDI standard, Message type and version there.
For SAP system, its least bothered about what type of edi messaging standards are used.
Thanks,
Mahesh.

Report needed for checking where pers. nr. is used in SAP
Hello,
I am currently searching if there is a report available which is checking where in SAP a Pers. nr. is used. e.g. partner in an open order or responsible of a costcenter or appraiser in an appraisel, open workflow document etc. This is needed to confirm that all the tasks of the emplloyee has been transferred to another employee before the leave action is made.
With kind regards,
Ronald van EeuwenHi,
There are more than 9000 programs and classes where field PERNR is used.
You have to be more specific with your question.
You can see all programs where PERNR is used by starting transaction SE11, enter data type PERNR, display and then CtrlShftF3.
Cheers -
To check where a table is used in other programes
how do i check where a table is used in other programes, i tried using se37, which is for checking functions but it doesnt help.
Not sure if this is simply a matter of going into SE11, put the table name in, and there is a where used option on the toolbar ?
From here you can select what objects you want to search in.
Is there a more complex requirement ? -
Outbound Messages on ECC using WS runtime, where to check
Hi guys,
I'm wondering if there is a tx on ECC where to check all outgoing and incoming messages using abap proxies on WS runtime. When using proxy runtime, they are visible at sxmb moni (on ecc). Where are they when WS runtime is used?
thank you,
OlianHi,
You can check for outgoing messages from ECC systems, in SXMB_MONI t code.
Thanks

Check mapping used in BIC module
Hello gurus
we have an EDI scenario. modules are used in the EDI receiver communication channels.
Following is the processing sequence and module configuration of one of the channels :-
Processing sequence:
1 localejbs/Seeburger/solution/sftp Local Enterprise Bean solutionid
2 localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean Local Enterprise Bean bic
3 localejbs/ModuleProcessorExitBean Local Enterprise Bean exit
Module Configuration:
bic LogAttID ConverterLog
bic destEncoding ISO-8859-1
bic destTargetMsg MainDocument
bic mappingName See_X2E_DESADV_UN_D93A
bic srcEncoding ISO-8859-1
bic srcTargetMsg MainDocument
exit JNDIName deployedAdapters/SeeXISFTP/shareable/SeeXISFTP
Is it possible to get the mapping that is used here i.e See_X2E_DESADV_UN_D93A to view or edit?
I am new to BIC and BIC MD. I went through the documents that are available for mapping designer but i am now even more confused.
The mapping designer can be used to output .xsd file which can be imported into the ESR as external definition and then graphically mapped to the IDoc. Then what is the purpose of this mapping separately and where can i find it??
Appreciate any help coming my way.
Regards,
XineohpiHi Iphoenix
The XSD file should be imported into ESR as an External Definition, so that it can be used as a source/target for graphical message mapping.
As for the BIC mapping, this is deployed as an SCA file into the PI system. This is normally done via JSPM by the Basis team.
Normally, if your partner is using X12 or EDIFACT, you might not need to change anything with BIC mapping. Only in cases where your partner's X12/EDIFACT definition deviates from the international standard, then you might need to adjust the BIC mapping accordingly using BIC MD.
In the case where the standard is used, you just need to double check that Seeburger already provides that XML to EDI conversion mapping, and that it has been deployed by your Basis team (you can check in the Seeburger Workbench to see what has been deployed.) Once the BIC mapping is there, you use that mapping in the BIC module configuration.
To summarize, for an IDoc to standard EDI interface, your main development/configuration effort would be:-
i) Create graphical mapping from IDoc to EDI (XML format)
ii) Configure communication channel to use BIC mapping for X2E conversion.

How can I see how often and where an image is used in the site?
Just realized the post appeared twice as at first sending I
got an error page (contains no data...).
So, please do all answer to the other post, so that all
replies get collected at one post only.
Hello,
please excuse my maybe dumb question but converting from
GoLive I am still trying to find several practical effective
workflow features in DW ...
1. where in the sitewindow/assets or files panel can I see an
indication at each image if and how often it is used in a site?
2. and where can I see/check on which pages it is used?
Thanks in advance for guiding me there ...
bye,
Beate> How do DW users know how often and where an image is
used on the site
> then?
I'm not sure what the benefit is of knowing how often an
image is used, but
a search for the image by filename would do the trick.
And just so you'll know, this is a peer forum, not an
official communication
vehicle to Adobe. We are all just users here, not Adobe
employees.

GRC10 Access control-how/where to check if an approval request email was sent?
Hi experts
Please could you let me know how/where to check if an approval request email was sent?
I some approvers complaining that they havent received the approval request email from GRC.
Please advise.

RanHi Ranjit
I tested it as well by stripping the access back and then used STAUTHTRACE (much nicer than ST01). You are right - it is asking for S_DEVELOP 02 DEBUG
METHOD check_admin_auth .
DATA: lo_message_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_message_manager,
lo_api_controller TYPE REF TO if_wd_controller,
lr_auth_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.

lo_message_manager = lo_api_controller->get_message_manager( ).
lr_auth_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'AUTH' ).
TRY.

lr_auth_node->set_attribute(

value = 'X'
name = 'CAN_RUN'
CATCH cx_grfn_msmp.
MESSAGE e197(grfnmw) INTO cx_grfn_msmp=>m_msg_str. ----> E197 (GRFNMW) matches the error msg
lo_message_manager->report_t100_message(
METHOD check_sap_debug_authorization.

I recommend raising a customer incident with SAP to get their input as I don't think DEBUG should be necessary for MSMP Instance Runtime - and then let us all know the outcome

What is extractor checker and use of it...?
Hello,
Could you please help to know about extractor checker and use of it.
Thanks in advance,
G Raghu.Hi..........
The extractor checker comes packaged in Service API (SAPI), which enables you to create generic DataSources via transaction RSO2. The extractor checker has been available since very early SAP releases (both SAP_APPL including the 3.X track and BW including the 2.X track). It can be considered release-independent. It does not require the source system to be connected to the target BW system. For more information about SAPI, go to SAP Service Marketplace. You search SAP notes using the keyword u201CSAPI.u201D
By running the extractor checker in the debug mode, you can learn a lot about the underlying application. I have been in situations where I had to work with application-specific standard extractors in areas that Iu2019m only vaguely familiar with. Running the extractor checker in the debug mode has helped me identify the base tables without a lot of effort.
I have seen generic extractors delivering no data because of faulty logic/coding. The reaction on the BW side is usually one of bewilderment and disbelief. You can avoid this by running the extractor check before executing your InfoPackages from BW. Iu2019ll show you how to use this tool in a more effective way and explain why you might want to use it more frequently.
For extraction of data we create datasource in the source system.............after that we replicate it in the BW side...............
Now our datasource can extract data from any:
Table or view
Query
Function mudule.................................
Now to check whether thae datasource is working fine or not.........We have to go to RSA3 in the source system...........There we will give the Datasource name.................then we will execute.........then it will displsy the data it contains...............we can also check for a specific value......
Hope this helps you..........

Where is Check number stored in Fusion Payroll
Hello All,
I am working on an Positive Pay file that is sent to the Bank after the payroll process and I need the check number details, but not sue where it is stored.
Can some one let me know where is the Check Number stored in the HCM tables.
In EBS
Check Numbers are in the field SERIAL_NUMBER on the PAY_ASSIGNMENT_ACTIONS table.
Serial Number in Pay_Assignment_Actions is where the check numbers are held. When Check Writer is run, the process requests STARTING and ENDING Check Numbers (Ending Check Number can be left blank).
But I am able to find the serial number in PAY_PAYROLL_REL_ACTIONS which is the payment reference and doesn't match the Check numbers that are generated.
Can any one please let me know where to find this information.
Appreciate all your inputs>

I'm not sure if this gets stored in some database tables, I believe that this information is evaluated in the runtime(i.e., when accessed from 'PA20') using the wage type characteristics(v_t511).
The function module 'RP_FILL_WAGE_TYPE_TABLE' returns the values of indirectly evaluated wage types also.
The (indirect)evaluations of the wage types take place in the subroutine 'EVALUATE_INDEV_TAB' of the function group 'RPIB'. (Include program : LRPIBFXX)

BPS Authorizations: where to check?
Hi experts,
I have to compare two users for understanding autorization differences between them. When I open a planning layout, I see different numbers with these two different users. I have checked the values defined, in planning area, for each "user values" variable for these two users (the values put manually into some variables). I don't know where to check, for example, in case of "user exit" (UPX_EXEC_VARIABLE_FILL function). Anybody knows if there are some other points to check for this issue?
Thanks,The authorizations can be defined both in roles ( could use TC SU01 or PFCG to see what roles are assigned to each of the users), and in user-specific variables, which can be used to define which part of the organisation each user is allowed to plan.
For me the simplest way to check the assignments for user-specific variables is to browse table (SE16) UPC_VAR_CHA_SEL. Then select by planning area, user and variable as required.
Its also possible to get an excel sheet using SE18 and report Z_BPS_VAR_MAINTAIN_VIA_EXCEL if that is installed, but I prefer browsing the table.

Where Is Flash Player Used?
1. Where is Flash Player used?
I am wondering when I am using Flash Player.
2. How can I know when I'm using Flash Player?
3. Am I using Flash Player when I:
a. Play a Facebook game?
b. Watch a You Tube video?
c. Watch a Vimeo video?
d. Watch a video on any news website like CNN or ABC?
e. Watch a video on any other website?
f. OtherThe easiest way to check for a video is to right click on the video's screen. You'll see some reference to Flash Player, as noted:
I'm not sure if this works for games, since I don't play any, but you can try.

Fixing Double-Checked Locking using Volatile
Oooh - what a scandalous subject title! :)
Anyhow, I was expanding my knowledge on why the double-checked locking idiom used in Singleton classes fails (after reading that JSR-133 is not going to fix the problem!), when I read http://www.cs.umd.edu/~pugh/java/memoryModel/DoubleCheckedLocking.html and found a spicy section titled "Fixing Double-Checked Locking using Volatile" (at the very bottom of the document).
As it is quite hard to find information (all sources revisit all the basic problems), I was wondering if anybody could back this up/refute it.
Just one more thing. I anticipate that many people who are researching this matter would like to have this clarified, so it would be beneficial to keep posts very much on topic. There is already a lot of information available about double locking failures in general.
The problem this post faces lies in a lot of statements saying "using volatile will NOT fix double-checked locking" that refer (I think) to the current JDK.
Thanks heaps!Volatile only checks that not more than one thread is accessing the variable at the same time (amongst other things of course), so in the example, it could cause problems. Let me explain a little here. Given a situation where two threads wish to aquire the Helper:
Step 1: Thread 1 enters the method and checks the helper status
and sees that it is null.
private volatile Helper helper = null;
public Helper getHelper() {
if (helper == null) { // <!-- Thread 1 requires helper, and sees that it is null
synchronized(this) {
if (helper == null)
helper = new Helper();
return helper;
}Step 2: Thread 2 enters the method, before the lock can be
acquired on the this-object and notices that the helper is
null.
private volatile Helper helper = null;
public Helper getHelper() {
if (helper == null) { // <!-- Thread 2 requires helper also
synchronized(this) { // and it is still null
if (helper == null)
helper = new Helper();
return helper;
}Step 3: The first Thread creates a new Helper
private volatile Helper helper = null;
public Helper getHelper() {
if (helper == null) { // <!-- Thread 2 waiting for lock realeas
synchronized(this) {
if (helper == null)
helper = new Helper(); // <!-- Thread 1 creating new Helper
return helper; //
}Now for Step 4, there are a few possibilites here. Either Thread 1 returns the helper it created, or Thread 2 can create the new Helper before the Thread 1 returns the Helper. Either way, the result is unwanted.
private volatile Helper helper = null;
public Helper getHelper() {
if (helper == null) {
synchronized(this) {
if (helper == null)
helper = new Helper(); // <!-- Thread 2 creating new Helper
return helper; // <!-- Thread 1 returning Helper
}The code can also create interesting situations (deadlocks?) due to the synchronized(this) statement used in a ... creative way in this case.
I might be wrong of course. Just my 0.02.
