"Edit a copy with Light Room Adjustments" is no longer functioning

I use to be able to edit a copy with lightroom adjustments when I sent my photo to CS5. It is no longer working. how can I recover that function?

Assumption here is that you are using LR4 with CS5? Is that correct? Lightroom uses Adobe Camera Raw 7.x and higher and CS5 doesn't have that available.
Make certain you have downloaded the latest version of ACR for CS5 (Version 6.7) It will take care of most of the incompatibilities between the ACR version mismatch.
To completely correct, you will need to upgrade to CS6 or have Lightroom render a flat Tiff into CS5.

LR3 - Cannot edit in Photoshop CS4 ("Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments")

Having just purchased LR3, it seems that when I select "Edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustments", that the LR adjustments aren't being carried across into CS4. I am only given the original file in PS.
Is this a known bug?

I don't know. I haven't seen a bug (assuming it is indeed a bug, and not an operator error) like this is mentioned here in the forums.
This issue is going to affect my business in a major way.
If this is so critical to your business, you can use a workaround meanwhile.
Use the regular export command with the following options:
File type: PSD/TIFF; other relevant filetype options.
Location: same as original photo.
Add to this catalog: checked. Stack with original: as needed.
Post-processing: open in Photoshop.
Save this as an Export presets and invoke it from the File->Export with Preset from the menu.
The end result is the same as Edit in Photoshop.

When trying to use "Edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustements" from Lightroom, Photoshop opens but no photo is displayed.

I can see from searching online that this is a regular question but I have not yet seen a solution.
I am running Lightroom 5.4 and Photoshop CC 14.2.1, both kept updated via the monthly subscription, on a 2013 MacMini running OSX 10.9.3
Starting with jpg's:
If I try "Edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustements" - Photoshop opens but no photo displayed in PS
If "Edit a Copy" or "Edit Original" then Photoshop displayes the file OK
If I am using Canon Raw files (.CR2) from my Canon 70D, then AS EXPECTED Lightroom starts Photoshop with the intervening dialog box about opening a copy or original but again just a blank screen and no photo displayed.
Has anybody found a solution yet?

I dont have 3.6. but I installed lightroom 4 and the function worked fine. But i didnt like the version 4, as it consumes a lot of resources.
I can open raw files without any problem.
And this function had been working before and suddenly this stopped working. I didnt do any setttings changes even.
Really appreciate your help on this.

Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment suddenly stopped working

I have been using lightroom 3.4 and photoshop CS6 for sometime. However suddenly I cant move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl+E) with the "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment".
When I click this option, it opens the Photoshop. But doesnt open the image. However the other two options "edit a copy" and "Edit original" works fine.
Also when i add photoshop again as another external editor, it works fine. But as you all are aware this create another copy of the image.
What I did
I checked the applications path for photoshop and it was correct.
I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.

I am having trouble with Light Room 4... Why is it so slow at random Times??

Problem being that at random when I am going along selecting images or editing, Light Room decides to slow right now and pauses on a picture saying LOADING for a good minute until finally loaded. Light Room is up to date. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it. My computer is super fast - its Windows 7 with 64GB Ram and LOTS of Disk Space so there is NO reason for it to be acting this way.. cant someone please help me!

Is your internet connection through a router a wired Ethernet connection to a Ethernet router or a Airport card connection to a Wireless Access Point (WAP) router?
I'm not sure why you would upgrade to 10.4.3 when the OS X Update Combo 10.4.6 (PPC) is available. Especially if you're ever run third-party program installers that asked for an administrative password, be sure to run Disk Utility> Repair Permissions on the hard drive after the computer restarts.
If you normally shut down an OS X Mac overnight or leave it in system sleep, the cron maintenance tasks cannot run in their nominal 3 am timeframe. (Display-only sleep allows the maintenance tasks to run). Tiger 10.4.2 and later will force the maintenance tasks to run after sufficient time has elapsed. Otherwise, you can leave the Mac in display-only sleep a weekend or two a month; you can manually Force Background Maintenance; or you can use a third-party utility such as OnyX to run the maintenance. In elements, you have to do a "Save" and not "Save As...", which basically means if you had saved the edit as a TIF with the exact same name that Lightroom created, Lightroom would recognize it.

Resolution Change When I am Using "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment"

Hi Guys,
I am using the latest version of lightroom and I have been trying to fix the error that lightroom made.
1. I open most of my photos (resolution 300dpi) on lightroom to do some adjustment
2. I am using "Edit with photoshop CS3" to continuemy editing
okay this the problem!
I just realized that every time, I open the photos on photoshop the resolution change became 240.
I am really not sure which part of lightroom that I need to change :( because I just want to keep the original resolution when I bring it to photoshop.

Bear in mind that there is no meaningful resolution number in an image file coming from a camera. The only truly "correct" resolution would be the number of pixels per inch on the sensor array, but that would be several thousand ppi, and your image size in inches or cm would appear to be very small -- i.e., the size of the sensor. Any other number put in there by the camera, by ACR, or by LR is merely a placeholder. Both LR and ACR set this to 240 ppi by default, which gives a typical camera image dimensions bearing some reasonable relationship to a potential print size.

after downloading LR CC via my cloud account all I get is a quick splash screen and then nothing. Tried uninstall and reinstall and reboot computer -- neither helped. Running OS X 10.10.3

I put photoshop on my desk top and when I quit photoshop the icon stays on the doc and I have to go to quit to get it off, when I am done with light room it just goes away like usual, I put photoshop on my desk top and when I quit photoshop the icon stays

Because I’m not sure I understand the problem, moving the application from its regular location after installation to the desktop would seem to be a bad idea, though.

Pavillion 9550f with Light Scribe DVD/CD no longer works

I have a Pavillion 9550F with a Lightscribe super media DVD/CD Writer. It was working fine until yesterday. I am running Windows 7. When I put in a cd or dvd it doesn't do anything. In Divice Manager under dvd/cd it lists TSST corp CDDVDW TS-H6532. No lightscribe. The cd drive willopen and close. What can I do to get it to read and write cd's/DVD's again?

I tried all the steps from 2 - 5 and still no luck.
When I place a cd into the drive ths is what I see on my computer: I cannot right click on the drive. Was wondering if the drive truly was supposed to be at E or if something got messed up when I was downloading power points onto a cd yesterday. Anything else I could try?

After installing Mt.Lion on my 27" iMac (2010), my copy/paste and move files would no longer function after a few minutes of use. I re-opened in Safe Mode and found everything okay, so I was told it was a bad extension. Now what do I do?

I have tried to look for an extension like Air Print Activator, which I tried and ignored. I thought it might have some timing method that would stop my copying and pasting and moving files after a minutes ot two. So I re-installed the latest version and "uninstalled" it, hoping it would then remove an errant extension. But that didn't help. It seemed to start when I first tried out Mail and moving new emails into their mailboxes after reading. I tried to figure out how to do a Clean Install, too, but it would not allow me to "move" the InstallESD.dmg to a USB disk, "resource busy". Everyway I turn, I'm blocked from carrying out a method of finding the culprit, short of starting from scratch -- but losing years and years of mail, files, receipts, etc. It's just too much to sacrifice. I have no idea what to do next, since I have no idea what extension is causing it or how to isolate and destroy it. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

You can try repairing the boot drive, Since you are running OS 10.6.8 you will need the OS DVD. Do you have it?
Please post back if you do, and need directions on how to do the disk repair.
