In Mail, seems that once I save an email I've been working on to the Drafts folder, when I reopen it, I cannot continue editing it.
In Mail, How can I continue editing an email saved as a draft to the drafts folder?

Came here to find the solution but eventually found one myself. You just simply double click on the e-mail you want to edit on the left pane, and it'll open a composing window.

  • I closed the cover on my IPad with a draft email open.  Now I can only edit the email but cancel and send are grey and nothing else in email seems to work.  What to do?

I closed my iPad cover with a draft email open.  When I reopened the cover, the cancel and send buttons are grey and all I can do is edit the email.  The email app seems frozen.  What do I do?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work (or if you can't get to the homescreen) then do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Outlook sometimes saves emails as drafts when I click send.

When I send email (Outlook, PC) the mail sometimes does not send, but changes to a draft. This includes emails with images in, but I don't know yet whether it is limited to emails with images. When I disable the iCloud for Outlook addin, the mails send ok.
In case it might be a conflict, the other Addins I have are:
    AVG
    CodeTwo Sync for iCloud
    Doodle connector
    MS VBA for Outlook
    Spam Reader
    Sperry Software (a "rules" editor)
    X1
(Code Two Sync syncs iCloud to my Main email calender so that searching works better. Disabling that plugin has no effect on the problem mentioned.)
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Malc

Update: it just happened again with an email which did not have an image in it.
Funnily enought, it was a reply to an email of mine which *had* had an image attached; but maybe that is just coincidence rather than there being some sort of trace of their having been an image in the message which had been replied to.
I disabled iCloud sync addin, edited the email which was now a draft, resent, and it went immediately without a problem. Then I re-enabled the sync.

  • Is there any way to edit an email address in the iPad mail app once it has been highlighted?

To try and clarify the above, when I type an email address in the address field, in the Mail app, and then hit the space bar, the email address becomes highlighted. If I then want to edit the email address I cannot for the life of me work out how to do it without deleting it and typing it out again.

Neither can I. I just think that is the way the app works. If there is a way, I would like to know myself.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

  • Can you edit an email attachment using google documents or somethiing similar

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to edit an email document attachment. Is there something similar to google documents.

Documents to Go, Pages (or Numbers as appropriate), at least half a dozen "office" apps for the iPhone are available. You could save it to box.net or dropbox and then transfer it to google docs, but I've found google documents on the iPhone to be frustrating to use at best for editing.

  • Editing an email address in Pages.

If I make a typo in an email address I'm unable to correct my mistake because Pages converts the cursor to the hand icon and opens an email window.  How can I edit an email address without deleting it and starting over?

    Open the Link Inspector.
Run the insertion point into the link, uing the arrow keys.

  • Editing an email link

I am editing an email link. When I click it to send an email, it doesn't update the address I had edited.

Are you using the Hyperlink function i.e. in a cell you have =hyperlink(...)? Or did you select text in a cell and use the inspector to designate it as a link?
It's not clear in your post. If you used the inspector, you should make ure your using the inspector to change it, not the cell contents. The cell contents has nothing to do with the email link itself. I change mine in the inspector and it changes the mailto for me no problem.
If I use hyperlink function, it changes too. So give us more details and we might be a little more help,
    Jason

  • I can't edit my email settings?

Just recently I have had a problem with being able to edit my email settings, when I go to main menu > set up > Email accounts it comes up with a username and password.
I assume the username that it is requesting would be an email adderess so I've tried all of mine and all of my passwords in the box, it doesn't seem to be accepting any of them.  Also according to my service provider and my sisters blackberry it's not supposed to be requesting any type of username or password there.
I have three email accounts: Googlemail, Window's live mail and my blackberry email account.
Can you offer any help in this siutation at all.
My service provider is 3 UK.

I want to use my @me email for my itunes to kind of keep everything organized without using so many different emails. When I go to edit my email address it tells me I can't use an existing account, but it's mine...

The problem is that you try to merge different Apple IDs (your old account and your me.com account) which is not possible. Apple will not let you do that.
Quote: "Can I merge multiple Apple IDs into one?

You cannot merge two or more Apple IDs into a single one. You can, however, use one Apple ID for iCloud services and another Apple ID for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). See “Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases” above for details."

  • I no longer can edit my emails

Hello everyone, Right after the latest upgrade/Update to Thunderbird (31.3.0) , I now no longer can edit my emails- i.e, underline, bold, change font size, text color etc.
There used to be a display menu of options when I wanted to increase the text size of my email, or wanted to change the color of the text, or use any of the Cntrl characters to underline text, bold them, etc.
Why did Mozilla get rid of this menu function when composing and editing emails?
What can I do to get this menu back?

    Follow-up question for you:
Is there some kind of global fix to this within some menu or sub-menu that will take care of this automatically?
Your solution worked, but I am having to do this manually every time I send out an email.
There must be some way to get out of this Text-Mode that I am in for some reason.
    Your thoughts?
