Edit ContactSheet_ID.jsx to include default template

We're using Bridge CS3 to generate contact sheets with InDesign CS3 using Bridge CS3's Tools > InDesign > Create InDesign Contact Sheet command. We've defined an InDesign template which we're using for these contacts sheets but find it annoying to have to browse for the template each time. Saving your settings with a Preset doesn't record your template selection so there's no joy there either.
Not being at all savvy with Javascript, does anyone know how to edit ContactSheet_ID.jsx so that a default template is already input when the Create InDesign Contact Sheet command is invoked? Or perhaps to change the behavior of saving Presets so as to include this default template information? We'd want to locate the file at a universally locatable path such as a user's documents folder or the InDesign folder or on a server, etc. so that all users could easily use the command with expected results. The solution would ideally be for the Mac but any would be great too!

Due to this what all are the columns that inserted in the project plan, will be lost when open the project in the next time.
I have opened the Enterprise Global Template and cross checked for Gaant Chart view it is showing the table as "Entry" only.
The requirement is what all columns are required for the project plan, manager will insert in the project first time. Next time on-wards it needs to be display the columns when opened the project from server by default.
We are unable to reproduce this issue in our Dev Envt.
Could anyone of you please help me.

Hi Venkat,
I suggest to remove Gantt Chart view and Entry table from Eglobal. These are default views from client and it is highly recommended to not use them in Enterprise Global.
Whatever a user ist doing on a view or table which is included in Enterprise Global will be reset on next open - therefore you receive this message.
If you need some server wide defined views and tables, create them. But remove Gantt Chart and Entry.

How can I change the application default template

Hi!
If I go to Application Shared Components | Definition | Template Defaults I can see the default page template used by my application. One would think that this is the place to change the default template if wanted to change it, but NOOOOOOO..., like many other things ApEx that's not the way you do it. (An example is the order of columns in an interactive report... all those up/down arrows in there mean nothing if ApEx sets the column default order differently from what you set in the query source or the report attributes section. Nope. You have to log into the application as a developer, edit the column order in your interactive report, and save your report as the default, and THEN you'll get your ordering right. What are these ApEx developers thinking I just don't know...)
I've search around the forums but I haven't found my answers (perhaps I haven't searched hard enough).
So, how do I change the default page template for all pages in my application?

...and once there, if you click on any of the templates looking for a way to set any of them as the default you'll be looking all day. You see the default column with check marks... why not implement the ability to check/uncheck defaults right there?
Alas, if you click on Edith Theme <no>, then you can set the default template. It's a little link to the right under Tasks.
My bad for still not understanding the way the ApEx interface works. It certainly isn't intuitive to me, but that's just me. Hopefully I'll get better.

How To associate a default Template with an asset in web center sites 11g

In previous versions we could associate a template with an asset, in the edit mode of the asset and that template would be used to render that asset when previewed.
How can we do that in Web center Sites 11 g so that we don't have to select it again and again.

You should still have that option, in the Contributor UI when you edit or inspect an asset beneath the asset name is a drop-down box to select the default Template for this asset.

UML : Customizing default templates ?

Can we customize the UML JavaDoc templates used by JDev. The current template has some limitations like not providing paragraph tags and list where needed and we have to go to the source code and manually edit them. It 'll be great if we can change in the template, so that when we click on the Use-case and navigate the doc, we have the things inplace.
example, the default template doesn't provide a paragraph tag after pre-condition.

Im using JDev 10.1.3.0.2.223 and trying to configure de default templates. After looking on the online help, google, TechNet and finally the threads, found your post on 'Editing Use Case Templates' .
I did find the template on a .jar file, but the path does not stand to what the online help says and I quote it here :
To open a use case modeler template: Choose File Open, then navigate to the <jdev_install>/jdev/system/oracle.bm.XXX/templates/usecase <<<<< this path doesn't exist <<<<<<<<<
I didn't try it yet, would it be the case to extract the files from the .jar update the templates and recreate-it ? ..

Include a template in a WAD tab component

Hi all,
we are on WAD7
We inserted a tab component with three tabs in our template
On the first tab is a 'costs' graph
On the second tab is an 'income' graph.
Everything works perfect.
We can switch between the two graphs
Now we want to include another template on the third tab.
This does not work.
Is it a known problem?
Is it possible to include templates in the tab component?

Default Template Problem

Been using Studio for for the last 6 months on a Windows XP system. Using this product primarily for the Sun One Application Framework. I have always dealt with lockups, system reboots, frequent software bugs but I am now in a bad spot. The software locked up my computer just recently and now I can no longer make any new pages, when I try I always get an invalid default template error. All of my eight current projects suffer the same fate. Is their any way to solve this. Let me know if their is any solution or if more information needes to be provided. I have seen this in another post with no resolution. Here is the error: The current default JSP template [DefaultPage] is invalid. Do you want to rename it as [DefaultPage_invalid] and refresh [DefaultPage] from NBM archive? Thanks for the help.

Don't follow: the screenshots look like completely different reports using completely different themes to me.
(regrettably I cannot post the app at apex.oracle.com as being internal data)If this is a custom[ised] theme then that's really the only way to investigate this. You don't need to include any actual data: just any content that causes the reports to display something.

Can a netui:template include another template?

I have a case where I want to have 2 different templates (myTemplate.jsp and myTemplate2.jsp). Both use almost all of the exact same code, with a minor exception. I didn't want to have to just copy one and modify the one section that is different, b/c if I have to update the common code in the template, then I will have to do it in both places.
          Basically, my JSPs will reference the template named "myTemplate" or "myTemplate2", and each of these references the template named "baseTemplate". Can this be done?
          I have tried, but I get an error saying "No Sections defined, 'xxx' not included in template.", but I have no idea why this is happening, because I thought I was defining a section.

          When I either myPage.jsp or myPage2.jsp is rendered, I don't see any of the content from myPage.jsp or myPage2.jsp. In its place I see the error in the netui error table with the following message: "No Sections defined, 'bodySection' not included in template", and below it I see the template specific code I added in myTemplate or myTemplate2 rendered without errors.
          Is there something else I have to do in baseTemplate to tell it that the baseBodySection will have template code in it?

I can sympathize with you as far as the readability goes.
I know that Tomcat 4 provides a GUI that's intended to make editing server and container level XML files a lot easier, but I'm not certain if it handles application level XMLs too. I think it's safe to say that version 5 will probably either support modifying web.xml files through the GUI or someone will make that feature available through an add-on module.
In the meantime, the length of the XML doesn't affect Tomcat. I would just put up with it until the tool comes along.

How can I change the default templates to from A4 to Letter US?

I live in Québec, the french part of Canada. Because I use French, iWork think I leave in France, so the default templates are in A4.
How can I change the default templates to from A4 to Letter US? It seem's impossible. In Pages 06, each language folder had templates. But with Pages 08, it's different.

Autre façon : Ouvre un nouveau document. Il va être en A4. Dans le menu Fichier--->Format d'impression. Une fenêtre apparaît. Dans la ligne... Taille du papier, tu choisis... Lettre US; tu fais OK. Ensuite tu sauves ce document comme modèle. Menu Fichier----> Enregistrer comme modèle et tu lui donnes le nom, par exemple... USLettre.
Ensuite, va dans le menu Pages, va dans préférences et dans la fenêtre qui s'ouvre - Préférences générales - tu choisis : Utiliser le modèle... et tu cliques sur Choisir... à droite un peu en bas de Utiliser le.... et là, dans la fenêtre qui va apparaître, tu trouves le modèle que tu viens de faire...USLettre.
Voilà. Chaque fois que tu vas ouvrir Pages, ce sera USLettre qui sera là par défaut.
J'espère que ça va te satisfaire.
Évidemment l'idéal serait de pouvoir changer la template Vierge par une template Vierge US... mais j'ai pas encore réussi.

Report designer broadcast default template

What is the default template that gets called when a report designer report is broadcast? Is it 0REPORT_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING?

You have the correct template for a precalculated document according to the SAP Help Portal. If you are broadcasting a precalculated query, created in Query Designer, then it would be 0QUERY_TEMPATE_BROADCASTING70.
If you have precalculated and distributed a query, it is displayed as a table with a filter area (according to the filters selected). From a technical viewpoint, the query is embedded in the Standard Web Template for Query Precalculation (0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING70).
If you have generated a report as a precalculated document, the Standard Web Template for Report Precalculation (0REPORT_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING) is used; this template contains the Report Web item. You make the setting for the standard Web templates in Customizing under SAP Reference IMG ® SAP NetWeaver ® Business Intelligence ® Settings for Reporting and Analysis ®BEx Web ®Set Standard Web Templates.You can also specify another Web template, for example, one containing your company logo, as the Standard Web Template for Query Precalculation or as the Standard Web Template for Report Precalculation.
The broadcast setting is listed in the upper area of the BEx Broadcaster screen. This is where all broadcast settings that were created for this query or Web application are displayed. If you want to edit or delete the broadcast setting, choose Edit or Delete in the context menu of the setting.

Pages 5.5 Default Template Help

I am trying to delete the default templates which come with Pages 5.5 so that only the My Templates remain
I have managed to find them in the following locations
Macintosh HD -> Applications -> Pages (via Show Package Contents) -> Contents -> SharedSupport -> Template Previews
and
Macintosh HD -> Applications -> Pages (via Show Package Contents) -> Contents -> SharedSupport -> Templates
However deleting any one of these from both folders whilst making the template inaccessible through pages they are still there in the Chose Template Window
Does anyone know how to remove them from the Chose Template window?

Yes there are a few menu items that I don't like. And I am sure I could find others as well.
Application package, so edit that and I should be good.
I see no reason whatsoever why removing some Templates would cause a single problem to the running of a program. They are simply predetermined styles top save some people time. However it is an unnecessary feature for myself and I am sure others. I am quite capable of creating and using my own Templates . For me they can be a nuisance when creating new documents and should be fine to remove.
Also any extra hinderances to creating a document can be problematic for the senior users who use this computer. One extra thing is one more for their memories to struggle with.
I do not see any foolishness in such a query and it is beyond me why you would criticise someone for something so simple. I am not the first person to want this and I will not be the last.

How to change the default template for a concurrent prog ?

Hi i have Std Conc prog "Payables Posted Invoice Register". It has a std template with same name "Payables Posted Invoice Register". Now i have created a custom template and attached it to the same Data Definition.
The Requirement is that only particular users will use the custom template, hence they will chose it while running. BUt what happened now is in the Conc Prog submit screen it is taking my custom template as the default one.
Hence majority of the users wudnt look at the template and get the custom o/p.
I want to make the std template itself as the default template and make the custom template available to chose for a smaller set of users.

Yes, that is a valid work around but my task is not to create a seperate data definition and a seperate concurrent prog for it. I HAD to use the standard concurrnet prog but jsut add my template as a non defaulted template.
Anyways, i have solved it now. This is how
System Adminitration => Concurrent Programs => select ur Concurrent Prog => Update => OnSite settings .... select the template you want to default.

How to remove extra header/footer from BC default template?

BC put their own header (with live links to dummy pages) and footer (two line of text on the bottom) in my Dreamweaver CS6 job at http://140001.worldsecuresystems.com/
Although I'm in the directory I can't seem to delete theses items,
the Main Template.dwt inside the default Templates folder.
I can't even delete the code inside it and leave it as an empty file.

I eneded up having to log in directly at Business Catalyst, not going through DW at all. There I entered a completely different mode, many more folders were visible. There it should also show you the template folder (the one you can't delete) belongs to your current DW project, which is why you can't delete it. You should see the other files that you can delete -- it's an entirely different experience going through Business Catalyst.
An extra caution, Adobe also added some new CSS global sheets to MY project that weren't in my original upload, so keep an eye out. I discovered this when I had to add code and I swore that page didn't belong to my job. Well, it did.

PSE 9: How to set the default template for albums

In Photoshop Elements 9, when I create an album (prior to sharing online), the default template (looks like a notebook) is not something I would ever use. So each time I have to find a better template ("Classic" is fine by me), select it and regenerate the album. Can I set a different default template? How?

I think to keep with a slightly better paradigm:
Create a view and pull your user data from there and not the actual entity table In the view the name is already "expanded" and its in the
[LastChgUserName]
column. Then Etl it with a job or anything else via Staging back to the entity if that is what you want. Or just pick it up in the View with the rest of the data if this is going to be needed for some external process.
