In my factory they have dreamweaver MX2004
The problem, the visualisation (in création mode) to edit the CSS is not good. Some data not appear on the screen, then it's impossible to modify this data.
I'd test oder CSS (with java script) the probleme is the same.

the CSS :
and the same in dreamweaver MX2004 (création mode)
Do you have a solution, wath should i do ?
Thanks

  • How do I edit the CSS of a Dynamic Menu with Dreamweaver and Business Catalyst.

I've watched tutorials on v2 menu module and it obviously was not made for someone just starting out in Business Catalyst. I want to edit the CSS of my Dynamic Module, preferably V1, but if I have to use version 2 I will. The problem I am running into is that the width of the menu I am trying to make is not big enough. The menu is extremely simple, I could whip it up with css and html in a matter of minutes. Just black words horizontal layout with a dark red hover color and selected state. I can change all that in Business Catalyst Site Manager just fine, however, the width of my menu when I look at it on the site, is way too small. Probably only 750px wide. I want it 1000px wide, but I haven't the faintest idea of where to find that information to change. When I add the menu module to my html code i get this: {module_menu,1534789}. How do I add or find css/html to edit the properties? I know I can add classes to the items inside the menu in the Site Manager, but where do I find the html code that shows those names?
I'm obviously missing something important and probably really easy, so I hope someone can help.
    Thanks, Evan Schmidt

I went ahead and built the navigation without a module, easier than wasting all this time trying to figure it out.
But initially my main problem was when I add the Menu module to my html in dreamweaver, this:  {module_menu,1534789} would be put in my html instead of css/html code. Now if publish my site and look at the page source, it shows the css/html, but it doesn't in dreamweaver. So is that the only way to edit the css/html code, copy the page source and replace the {module_menu,1534789} with the copied code in dreamweaver?

  • Editing CSS in Dreamweaver.

Well Im trying to edit a CSS document from a template. There
is a bunch of sections and I need to find out which change what.
Well I opened the CSS file in Dreamweaver but it doesn't allow me
to view in browser... Is there something I need to do so I can see
what I change on the template as far as colors in tables and
    such.

A CSS file has no preview.
You would have to open the HTML file in DW, and select the
    element you are
interested in styling, then use the CSS panel in DW to see
    which rules are
    applying to that element.
Perhaps if you post a link to your page, we will be able to
    help you better.
By the way, such posts are better directed to the DW General
    forum rather
    than this one.

  • Edit table cells in Dreamweaver 8

In Dreamwever MX2004 if you have a 1 row, 2 column table, I
can enter text in the left cell and not affect the right cell,
otherwords, I can have text in the right cell and it does not move
if I do a carrage return in the left cell.
However in Dreamweaver 8 with the same situation, the text
line in the right cell moves down one line for each carrage return
in the left cell. Dreamweaver 8 does not leave an editable area
abovr the text of the right cell so you can't backspace the text
back to the top of the cell, thus, I can't have any alignment
    between the two cells.
Any ideas on how to make Dreamweaver 8 behave the same as
    Dreamweaver MX2004
    Cheers,
    Linus Sagadore

as a pure guess, it's got to do with the align attribute of
    the td tag, or
    the css being used.
my guess is the code is set to vertically align the contents
    of the right
cell. When you add content to the left cell, the right cell
    gets taller, so
the contents of it appear to move down.
if you're still unclear- please make a page with each
    version, with a table
that does this, and upload someplace and give a link to the
    uploaded pages.

  • How can I view/edit the CSS rules that apply to an Order Registration Layout ?

*Note: I am new to web design and I did not create the site that I am working on. I am also very VERY clumsy with CSS at the moment *
I have just begun using Dreamweaver to work on a Business Catalyst site. I am attempting to edit the CSS of the layout for the Order Registration Form. The CSS is applied from the site-wide template that is assigned to the Order Registration Layout. When viewing the layout in Dreamweaver, it does not display any CSS info for the page. However, when viewing the live page for the Order Registration, it is clear that CSS is adversely affecting the layout.
Is there a way to link the css rules from the site-wide template to the Order Registration Layout? Or should I just add a new CSS rule directly to the Order Registration Layout (possibly overriding the site-wide template's CSS)?
    Thanks!
    Nate

I've used Firebug as well as the Webkit developer tools in Chrome and Safari which have surpassed Firebug in my opinion.  But they all suffer from the fact that the changes you make in them have to later be applied to your code which means you have to take the extra steps of trying to remember what all changes you made in Firebug and copying and pasting them back into your files.  Whereas in Dreamweaver you can Inspect, make changes directly to the code in your file, and you're done.    Not happy with the last few changes?  Undo.  Want to start completely over? File > Revert.
Dreamweaver has excellent tools for determining what css is being applied to an element and by what means.  And it's a more streamlined and direct workflow where you work directly in your code.   I still use Firebug and the others from time to time though.  But only for very basic "spur of the moment" testing.  And usually only when I don't have immediate access to the raw files.

  • Editable regions in templates. How do I edit the CSS in a new page from the template?

I am new to Dreamweaver and Web design. I have made a template and have two editable regions they work fine. When I create a page from this template, I can't edit the CSS. What do I need to do to edit the div tags that are specific to the editable regions? Thank you, I appreciate any help I am just about to give up with templates.

  • Download Help for Dreamweaver 8

    Hi,
A couple of days ago, I purchased the upgrade version for
Dreamweaver 8. I paid for the product online on the Adobe site and
then proceeded to the download area, but the only options to
download are: HomeSite+ 5.5 and ColdFusion MX 7 Developer Edition.
Am I missing something, or should my new download be called
    Dreamweaver 8?
I have been trying to contact Adobe for the last couple of
days with no luck. On their contact page, the links for
support/cases werw broken and then i tried phoning them, and was on
hold for over an hour before giving up!!!! I am really frustrated
with the lack of customer service.

Try scrolling down the page... it's not obvious but I had the
    same problem
and felt pretty sheepish when the tech said "Just scroll
    down"... maybe not.

  • How to enable InsertBar when editing .js, .css files?

Objects are designed to be used in an HTML document. Snippets are designed more for Code View.
The only reasonable way I can think to get around this limitation is to create a temporary HTML document with either a <script> or <style> block, insert the desired Object, then copy the result to the desired .js or .css file.
What exactly are you trying to do? Maybe some details could remind me of some other way to do what you want.

  • Css in dreamweaver not like CFStudio

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I have just upgraded from CFStudio 4.5 to Dreamweaver 8. I'm
    used to
editing inline CSS with TopStyle. CFStudio let me edit a tag
    and open
    TopStyle directly.
I can't seem to figure out how Dreamweaver's CSS Panel helps
    me edit the
inline CSS style attibute of a tag?
I've installed a trial of TopStyle Pro 3.12 and enabled
    Dreamweaver
integration within its Option menu. Have I only set the MIME
    type for a CSS
file double click? Cause Dreamweaver doesn't seem effected.
    Double
clicking on a CSS file does not open TopStyle.
Can someone explain how to use Dreamweaver to edit the inline
    CSS style
attributes OR explain how to properly integrate TopStyle Pro
    to do it?
Please help the newly upgraded. Thanks,
    Jeff

    Thanks Murray,

  • How to reactivate Macromedia Dreamweaver MX2004?

Need help reactivating our copies of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX2004. Problem is we do not receive an activation error message when trying to run the software. Simply does not boot up. Have tried reinstalling software from original installation disc with same result (or lack thereof!).  Message comes up saying the software has been successfully installed, but no activation error message and will not boot up when we try to open it. Tried chatting with Adobe Online Help on two occasions, but all they could do is provide us with the new serial number for the product . When I’ve asked where to enter the serial number (since we do not receive the activation error message) they could provide no assistance other than the new serial number. Seems there must be a link to the activation error message which we could be provided, so that we could enter the new serial number and reactivate Dreamweaver? Hope someone can help!

    Hi Preran,
I've been to that page on the Adobe site at least two dozen times trying to solve our problem.  If you can't get to the activation error message it's not helpful. All we're trying to do is occasionally edit content at two websites, all of which was written and created in Dreamweaver ages ago, and which we only update once or twice a year.
As per your suggestions, checked the Adobe site for CS2 and information there indicates CS2 has also been deactivated and no longer supported. Creative Cloud lists a monthly fee of $49.95 which is way beyond our budget for occasional edits.
If there is an activation error message for Macromedia Dreamweaver MX2004 don't understand why Adobe can't provide a link.
    Anyone else have a solution?
    Thank you,
    John

  • Dreamweaver MX2004 - tab

I am using dreamweaver MX2004 ( Educational) to do my
    webpage. I find that I
start the first page from the menu and it gives me a window,
then I click on the white blank page symbol or "file" "new"
    to
create a second page, it creates another page in another
    window
and so on and so on, so I have lots of windows opened at the
same time. Is there a facility that I can put my pages in
    "tabs"
and so that I can see the title and not having my screen all
    cluttered up.
The second problem that I am also getting is that when i
    create
each new page within the same website, I have to re-attach
    the
CSS style sheet, is that correct?

Tabbed files in the Mac version of MX 2004 doesn't exist.

  • Dreamweaver MX2004 save trouble

    Hi all,
I have loaded dreamweaver MX2004 on my new Windows Vista
machine to maintain my website. All set up ok. However when I open
and edit a page and save it, it now saves to my hard drive and not
to the remote server. If i try 'save as' it only gives me options
on my machine and not a file list from the website. It wasn't like
this before on my Windows XP machine.
Any suggestions please. Can i configure it to save the files
back to where they were loaded from, ie the website? Is this
    something I am doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance
    Barry

If your site is an FTP & RDS site, it will save the files
    directly to the
server. If it's not saving the files directly to the server,
    then it cannot
be an FTP & RDS site. Tell me this - when you look at
    this site's name in
the site list of the Files panel, do you see a folder or do
    you
see a computer icon? If you see a folder, then your site is
    what you would
get if you did NEW SITE | Site, and if it's a computer icon,
    then it's what
you would get if you did NEW SITE | FTP & RDS Server. If
    your site is the
former, then just create a new site definition, and make sure
    you select the
    FTP & RDS type.
BUT BEWARE. One silly mistake and you are a dead duck.

  • Dreamweaver MX2004

I wish to download Dreamweaver MX2004 for free for my MAC, does anybody know where I can download it from?

While not technically "free" you can download it from Adobe...
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=studiomx
It's a 30 day trial that you would need a serial number for.
That particular program is over 12 years old and hasn't been supported for a very long time. It may not work with your OS and won't create modern standards compliant code if you do get it to run.

  • Can't edit .html file in dreamweaver?

Why can't I edit .html file in Dreamweaver CS 5.5 when it is not attached to a template?
I have always been able to edit it every other time I have opened the file (since I built the site over two years ago).
Now each time I try to edit it in Design mode, no matter where I click in the file the whole page gets a dark grey overlay and I can't get a curser.
I am still able to edit the code directly but I do not want to be restricted.
The last thing I did the last time I opened the file was paste Google Analytics code in just before the </head> tag. I did this to all the files on the site but this is the only one that isn't working. I have tried taking out this code but it makes no difference.
I am using a 6 month old Macbook pro.
    Can anyone help me?

In your stylesheet you have -
    .container {    overflow:hidden; width: 100%;}
    .container2 {   overflow:hidden; width: 646px; margin:0 0 10px 0}
Try right clicking on the page in Design view and then selecting Element view > Full and see if that helps.
