Edit Esbase Error Messgae

Hell @all,
i'm wondering if it is possible to edit essbase error message to make it friendlier for the end user. In my case i disabled all connections via maxl script, so that the user get error message "Application %App% is currently not accepting connections" while the calculation is being processed. After the calculation is completed all users are able to connect the application.

Error (1054009) application [%s] is currently not accepting connections
The Application currently does not allow connections because
- the "Allow connects" option is not checked
or
- the ENABLELOGIN command was not used in Esscmd script after the DISABLELOGIN command.
You can try the following:
1. In Application Properties
Ensure that the ALLOW CONNECTS option is checked for this Application.
In Essbase Administration Services (EAS) Console, under APPLICATION -> EDIT PROPERTIES -> GENERAL.
Allow connects
- When unchecked, prevents any user with a permission lower than Application Designer from making connections to the database that would require the databases to be started.
- This includes using the ESSCMD SELECT function to start the database.
- ALLOW CONNECTS option is on by default.
ESSCMD Sessions
When running ESSCMD Sessions - make sure to use ENABLELOGIN once all operations after DISABLELOGIN have completed.
Stopping / unloading the application will automatically ENABLELOGIN, without the use of the command.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue continues, contact the carrier to troubleshoot the network connectivity issues.

OIF - can I edit specific error messages back to user?

I've had a request from end-user support to change a specfic error message generated by OC4J /shareid app.
At present if a user tries to access a session that's been invalidated (logout, session timeout, etc.) they are presented with an error:
Identity Federation Error
The signon or signoff to the partner domain could not be completed. Contact your administrator. (Error ID TSE016)
I'd like to change that to something more actionable like "Please close your browser and try to access resource again."
Is anyone aware of how to edit these error messages?

In any case, you got me curious enough to poke around for the message catalog in question. The message is from shareid-user-messages*.properties inside $ORACLE_HOME/jlib/idmbridge.jar.
To update these, you'll just need to update the jar file -
cd $ORACLE_HOME/jlib
jar -xvf idmbridge.jar shareid-user-messages_en.properties shareid-user-messages.properties
Change both files to edit the message with ID ERP001 (it's the first one in the catalog) as you need, save the files, and then..
jar -uvf idmbridge.jar shareid-user-messages_en.properties shareid-user-messages.properties
Restart OIF and you should be done. In case you have users with browser languages other than English, you can update the other catalogs (shareid-user-messages_fr.properties, shareid-user-messages_de.properties etc.) as well.
I can see why Oracle would rather have customers not do this, but I'm not sure why the user-facing messages are jarred up in the first place.

Error in editing object: Error in RFC to Solution Manger System

Hi All,
Our System release is ERP 6.0 EhP4 and our DB is Oracle.
When we try to create or edit any object (eg: Function module, package, function group, tables) in our system and save it in a local workbench request, we are getting an error which states: Error in editing object: Error in RFC SM_<SID>CLNT<Client>_BACK to Solution Manger System.
Though we have deleted the RFC SM_<SID>CLNT<Client>_BACK, we still get the same error when we try to edit an object and save it in a workbench request. But when we save all these in a local object instead of a package we do not get any error.
Can any one please suggest some solution for this?? As we are held up in some critical activity.

Not sure - but maybe a cross system lock seems to exist. Perhaps you can check this:

Edit the error records in error stack

I want to edit the error records in error stack. There are around 300 records in error stack . I want to replace the value in one field with blank to correct the records. Can you please help me how to replace the value with blank.

Hi,
Open the original DTP and click on change.
1) In Update you will find "create error DTP", just click on it system automatically create error DTP for you original DTP.
2) Do not change any thing, just come back to your original DTP and activate your DTP again.
Now come back and refresh the info provider tree.
now execute your DTP, request will be green in target and you will error records in error stack.
How to edit the error records in error DTP

HT201210 what is error messgae 3

Ok so this update has taken me most of the day and with no phone either. Started out with error messgae -1 i updated itunes and rebooted computer tryed a number of times i get half way through now error message 3. Just give me my phone back i dont want to update no more

Thanks for your post. It looks as if your computer is not seeing the driver
calls and thus it gives the error saying it cannot complete that task. Does
this happen with any other example programs you run using DAQmx? What version
of DAQmx do you have? I would first recommend getting the latest DAQmx driver
version, 8.7.1. You can find this at the following link below.
Drivers and Updates
Please post back if installing the latest driver does not
fix the problem.

Click on IMG - >Navigate through the following path
Supplier Relationship Management -> Cross- Application basic settings -> Message Control -> Influence message control (Click here)
A new window opens up.
Select BUS2121 (Business object)
and then double click on Message control folder
on the left side.
Create a new entry with
Mesaage class - BBP_PD
Msg no - 584
Text - Preferred delivery date cannot be kept; Earliest date: &
Type - W
Standard - E

Cannot send email just get a 'relaying' error messgae

Apologies if this has already been asked:-
i have an iphone 4 and have upgraded to the latest version of ios. But since then I cannot send emails from either my aol or hotmail account. I just get this error message:-
A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient "*****@aol.com" was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.
Any ideas? Everything was fine before hand. I have tried deleting then reinstating my eamsil accounts both with wifi on and off and still no difference.
Please help its driving me MENTAL!!!!!!

re: not understanding instructions, it sounds like you have not enabled the Menu Bar.
In Thunderbird you will find life much easier when seeing all the toolbars.
Click on the menu icon - it has 3 bars.
Hover the mouse pointer over 'Options'
a new drop down appears, select 'Menu Bar'.
then you will see the Menu Bar above the tabs
It shows: 'File, Edit, View, Go, Message, Tools, Help.'

I looked at the information you provided in the other question.
Server name, port, authentication and connection security look ok.
What do you have in the 'User Name' ?
Do you have the full email address or just the first part before the @ ?
The other thing to check is the firewall settings in the Actiontec Router.
But this is not really a forum for dealing with your router.
you should find the model number somewhere on your Actiontec router.
There are different models, but sometimes the settings can be very similar.
you should be able to do a google search for your model.

my issue is not the lack of data .....
my issue is about the error handling in data_changed event in alv oops application....am able to display the error log using display_protocol method..,.. but after displaying the error log am still able to save the changes which should not happen....the thing is we should not be able to save the changes...... am having the same issue as the following thread

Oracle 10g Express Edition Installation Error

I have downloaded 10g Express Edition and am trying to install. After clicking on the OracleXE.exe file, I get the following error:

I have verified that the path and file exists. What else should I do?

I am on my last attempt here if there are no other concrete solutions. Guess I will have to wait for 11g to make it to the Windows environment. Any other previous version of 10g that I can try????

APP EDIT PROPOSAL ERROR

In F110 When i click Edit proposal the system showing the follwing error
Vendor 400011 STFM Is contained in proposal 13.09.2009 PAID ; no editing
End of log
job finished
when i can modify proposal, when i create new proposal also it will not go in
Edit Proposal.

Edit Chart error in web application designer

Whenever I try to edit a chart in de WAD the edit popup window is empty (no edit fields). Does anyone know how to solve this error. BW is running on WAS 6.20 and I am running SAP GUI 6.40 patch 22.

Problem solved!
My graphics adapter was set to 128% DPI. This caused 2 errors:
1. The tabs below the template window where "overwritten" by the template window.
2. The "edit chart" popup window remained blank.
After setting my graphics adaper to 96 dpi (default) everything worked fine.

Nested Editable Regions Error Message

I'm trying to create a dynamic template. I've saved a header
and footer as library items, and I want to include them in the
template. In addition I want to have an editable region between
them. For some reason, when I go to save as template, the error
message comes up. It says 'error at line 57, column 323(absolute
position 2998) of ... :nested editable regions' . I have narrowed
this error to be caused by the header (which was created as a
sliced image in photoshop), but for what reason I don't know. Any
ideas why I am getting this error message and what I can do to fix
it? The template won't save otherwise and I can't find any
information on dreamweaver 8 help menu.
