The Moyea FLV Plugin to force Premiere Elements to import flv files is a popular question from time to time.
I know from personal experience that it does work for Premiere Elements 4, 7, and 8.0/8.0.1.
I have just downloaded the Moyea FLV Plugin from the site whose link I had previously posted in your thread in order to verify that it still works with 8.0/8.0.1 and flv importing. It still does. This was verified with a flv file, the Moyea FLV plugin, and Premiere Elements 4, 7, and 8.0/8.0.1.
Some tips, if necessary,
Once the plugin is installed, I found no desktop icon for it.
What happened is this...You open your Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 project, you import your flv file with Get Media/Files and Folders.
At that point, you get a Moyea Software pop up with Order or Try. I hit Try.
At that point, the flv is imported, but look for it in "Project" when the Organize (blue) header is the selected. It did not pop up in the Organize/Media sector.
I have yet to remember or try versions later than 8.0/8.0.1 with this plugin. My recollection is that the plugin does not work with these later versions of Premiere Elements.
More later if necessary.

  • How to edit Excel files online

HI, is it possible to edit Excel files online, which where uploaded to webserver. I mean, opening an ecxel sheet changing different fields, and saving the changes without opening the .xls with my local office?
    If yes, how?

you could try it with http://jakarta.apache.org/poi
That is a package that allows reading and writing of excel files, it wont be easy as you have to parse the excell file into HTMl that is editable.

  • Editing a file online

Hi, I'm looking for a way to edit a file that is hosted online to keep information. I want to avoid using MySQL and I want to know if this is possible and what API would I be looking at?

    me_right_now wrote:
Hah hah. Well, I guess I'm going to end up using MySQL database because I don't think there is a better approach. Why the sudden flip-flop? Nobody here has suggested that you use MySQL or that it's an appropriate approach. They couldn't have because you didn't provide any information as to your requirements and goals. All they did was ask why you were opposed to it, in order to try to drag some information out of you.
Also note that using a DB or not, and which DB you use, has nothing at all to do with "editing a file online." You may end up using MySQL or some other DB to store your file, and to find the file(s) you're looking for based on certain criteria, but the "editing" part and the "online" part are completely separate from and independent of that.

  • Editing FLV files - Split / Merge

Our studio is moving to a Flash video streaming solution from
a RealVideo streaming one. We stream multiple live streams daily
and archive our streams as well and there are times when we'd like
to edit the .flv video files to cut out a section or maybe merge
two flv files. For RealVideo files, this can be done using the Real
Media editor that is built into Real Producer. Is there any
solution to accomplish this with FLV files?
I've scoured google and I've found workarounds that involved
converting the .flv file into an avi or an mpeg, editing it and
then converting it back using multiple programs and plugins to
accomplish this, but that process is too complicated for most of
the end-users in our studio and converting the format over and over
obviously causes degradation in the quality of the video. Has Adobe
created a standalone tool to split/merge flv files? If anybody has
    a solution please share. Thanks!

    Hey Jason,
Your best bet is to do all the editing you need prior to
encoding. Forgive me if this is a little condescending, but for our
company, the encode to .flv format is the penultimate/final stage
    of production.
I can't be sure, but I believe a program such as preniere or
after effects has good integration with Flash - you could output
    directly to .flv
In terms of merging two .flvs, you're right - the options are
limited. You can either redo your edit (tricky for long sequences)
and re-encode, or alternatively code something to stick the two
flvs together...very heath robinson, i know!

  • How to edit .FLV file in Flash?

    Hi,
Can anybody giude me how to Edit .flv movie file in Flash
    Professional 8 in MAC.
I can open the .flv file. I can see each frame.
Now when i select some frames from the starting movie &
cut(delete) those frames, I should get the remaining movie.
But i can still see the starting movie frames in my .flv
    file.
I don't know how to select particular frames & cut those
    frames.
Please reply if you know the answer.

  • Editing flv files in flash

I have a long video in flv format that I want to break up
into smaller chunks. Is it possible to do this in Flash cs3 and
    how?
    thanks.

From your description, it sounds like all of the loaded
movies, are loaded in at the start of the first Flash movie.
Additionally, in this 6.swf movie, the first .flv file is set to
begin to play as soon as that movie is loaded. That's why you are
hearing the sound track playing when the first movie loads.
You can fix this by changing the code in 6.swf so that the
first movie doesn't begin to stream/play when it loads. If there is
a button to play this movie then this should be a trivial task.
Another option is to not load 6.swf when the first movie starts,
but to wait until 6.swf is called to be shown.

  • Importing/editing FLV file from pc and making dvd

Hi everybody... new Mac user/owner here... virgin sorta hehe.
I am an internet broadcaster who has to stream via pc. Once I have finnished show, I need to get said file in to my Mac and edit with Imovie...I think. I have been trying to do this with toast8.4 but everytime I make a dvd with toast... IMovie only can see files ads FLV and won't open.
Any suggestions for this rookie would be appreciated
    cheers

A coworker taught me how to create a "macro" for doing this.  Under Windows, choose actions, at the bottom there is a symbol for "create new action".
The click the record button, and go through the motions of select object, text objects; transform each; etc...
The software I am useing to create these data plots only has WMF and PNG as output formats.   I need to change font sizes etc in Illustrator,
so I need the WMF format and not a bitmapped format (same for using a "screen grab" to get a JPG or similar from the Windows screen).
Up until a year ago, Illustrator was importing the WMF files with no trouble.  It only started inverting the text when I upgraded hardware
    and software on my Mac.
I have several other Windows-Only programs that export WMF files, and the text elements are not inverted in any of the others.  So
this problem is not simply a "bug" in Illustrator, it seems specific to the plots exported by this one peice of Windows software.  I will
write to the authors of that software to allert them of the trouble.
Thanks to every one, for rapid replies to this!

  • FLV File support in PE7 Trial Version?

I just downloaded and installed PE7 Trial version. My main interest in this version was to be able to edit .FLV video files. I've noticed in some reviews PE7 is able to upload .FLV files to Youtube. Well the trial version doesn't appear to suport .FLV files for editing. The trial version install procedure mentions that not all features of PE7 are included in this install. My question is does the full PE7 version support editing .FLV files?

You can not import and edit FLV files in PE7, it will only export to FLV. It can import and edit SWF files. If you want to edit FLV files you will need to convert them to another format, ideally DV-AVI. You could do an internet search for a free converter (there are a few) or purchase one.

  • How do i get flv files in premiere elements

how can i get the premiere elements to use flv. files?

    verdanexi
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system it is running?
In the absence of that information, the following is a generalized no can do answer.
Although files with flv file extensions can be exported from Premiere Elements, you cannot import flv files into Premiere Elements.
There used to be a time when earlier versions could use a Moyea plug-in to force Premiere Elements to accept flv files.
    how to edit .flv files
Your flv are going to have to be converted into another format before import into Premiere Elements if you want to use Premiere Elements as your video editor.

The link is provided for informational rather than promotional reason. I have not used it, but I have seen reports that it is free and works well for flv to avi.

    Thanks for helping me.

I have the mp4 ad the flv that I have converted from the online file using an online tool. I would like to use it as a base for my own video and just switch out some of the frames and characters/backgrounds - is that possible in Premier?

  • Why does Firefox DRAG when editing files online?

    2nd request for help.. :)
Why does firefox 9 drag when either editing files online, or entering code into a description box. The more FF thinks there are spelling errors, the worse the dragging becomes. Sometimes it is so bad the mouse cursor is stuck to the screen.

You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
