Edit imported photos on ipad

I have imported thru iTunes a number of photos I took with my Canon cameria to my iPad.  (it makes a great viewing display)
I would like to delete the ones I don't want and sync my iPad again so the I can place the photos I keep on a floppy.  But the
photos cannot be deleted on my ipad.  How could I do this ?  Many thanks, helo329130x

Synced photos can only be deleted by connecting to your computer's iTunes and de-selecting them on the Photos tab - they can't be deleted directly on the iPad.

  • Can i import photos from ipad to windows based computer.

my ipad is losing charge very quickly and I have been told by apple genius bar support that the battery is working fine. They say I need to back up the ipad and then reload from scratch. But they say that if I simply use the back up I am likely to have the same problem, so what I really need to do is make sure that my photos are safe and then can choose what to reload. But I have a windows pc not a mac and I cant see how to transfer the photos on the ipad to the computer. Apple say they know nothing about windows computers. Any easy, non technical ideas please?

First of all, you can use iTunes or iCloud to backup your data on iPad. If you have no idea on how to make a backup, you can go to :http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
Then, to import photos from iPad to computer,  there are two ways:
Way 1: If you have enable iCloud, you can see and copy the photos you took in the last 30 days on Windows iCloud panel which you have installed on your computer. However, there is an advantage that you can not import all photos.
Way 2: You can use iTunes to copy the photos on iPad to your computer. Install the latest iTunes and connect iPad to the computer. Then, you'll see your device on the "Computer (disk)" list , click it, you can see all your pictures on the iPad and import or copy it to the computer.

  • How can I import photos edited with Photos on iPad to iPhoto on Mac, including all edits??

During a long vakantion trip, I took many pictures and imported them in Photos on my iPad. And during the trip I edited many photos: croppig, changing colors and brightness, etc.
Now back home, I would like to import all these photos into iPhoto on my Mac, including all the edits of course.
I imported a few hundred and saw at once that the edits were not imported completely and not correctly (probably most is not imported).
Can anyone please advise how this should be done.
    Thank you very much,
    Frans

Making a trip, I import, select and edit pictures, as I have the time to do so. So, when I come back home, I expect importing to the Mac and reviewing only.
You are caught in the transit.  If you still had iOS 7, that would have been no problem. Your edits in iPhoto on the iPad would have transferred to the  Mac, and you would even have been able to undo the Camera filters. Unfortunately, iOS 8 is ahead of the photo applications on the Mac.  The sidecar files with the edits transfer to the mac, but no software that I know of can read them. It will be better in a few month.
Do you know of any other application which can be used on both, iOS and OS X, to edit photos??
Right now, the only app I know is Pixelmator.
Pixelmator on the iPad can save and open files on iCloud Drive. But you would need to upgrade your Mac to Yosemite to use the new Pixelmator for Mac and to be able to access iCloud Drive from the Mac.

  • Can I import photos from iPad to Mac using WiFi?

I know I can import photos from the iPad to the Mac using the USB cable, and importing them into iPhoto.  But is it possible to do this without plugging in the iPad - i.e. with WiFi?  I couldn't find a way to make it work.
Better still, would it be possible to automatically 'sync' photos taken on the iPad to the Mac using iCloud, without also having photos from the Mac going back to the iPad?  My iPhoto archive is now quite large, and I don't want it on the iPad.
Or are there any other approaches?
I really want to be able to use the iPad to regularly "empty" my camera while travelling, and have the iPad transfer the pictures to my main photo archive (iPhoto on the Mac) whenever it gets a chance.  If this can happen automatically, that is best.  Manually initiating it via WiFi is next best.  Mnually initiating it via a USB cable is third best - still not difficult, but more steps.

Can anybody confirm this one way or the other?
If you have 800 photos on the iPad in the Photo Stream, those 800 photos will appear in the Photo Stream in iPhoto. However, if you have 7000 photos in albums in iPhoto, they will not appear in the Photo Stream on the iPad unless you place the photos into the Photo Stream. Photo Stream is its own album in iPhoto and your already imported photos in iPhoto will not appear in there unless you add them to the photo stream.
Look at one of the WiFi photo transfer apps such as WiFi Transfer App. You can send the iPad photos to your Mac using Safari on the Mac and then Imprt them to iPhoto as you see fit. You cannot send the photos directly into iPhoto with these apps.

  • How can i import photos from ipad to itunes, how can i import photos from ipad to itunes

How can I import photos from my iPad to iTunes on my Windows Vista PC?

I'm puzzled!  I had received a set of jpg files through an e-mail on my ipad.  For reasons unknown to me, they got saved to my (only) album, that had an irrelevant name.  When I tried to change the name of the album, I received a message that I could only change the name of the album after importing them to the computer where (as I recall) iTunes resided.  After much huffing and puffing, I managed to import the photos, to the Windows computer, but they wound up in a Windows Photo Gallery directory, where I put them into an appropriately named album.  Now, how do I get them back to the iPad.  (I also learned, I think, that iTunes will have nothing to do with the photos.

  • Import photos from iPad to iPhoto keeping album structure

    Hi All,
I have an iPad 2 with a camera connect kit.  I've imported and organised several hundred photos using the kit and the iPad.  I just purchased a Macbook Pro and want to import those photos into iPhoto.  The photos all imported, but the album structure has been lost.  How can I import photos from my iPad into iPhoto (or some other application) while keeping the album structure?
    Thanks,
    John.

  • Imported photos to ipad they are not looking the same

i had synced photos to ipad from PC(windows XP) using itunes on PC. After Syncing they are not looking similar they are looking like negatives of original images on PC..

I BELIEVE it orders them in date taken order, not name order.
You can look for a third party app that will allow you to choose/alter the sort order, or use a program to edit the properties of the photos to give them all the same date, which will then allow the iPad to default to name order. I found a free program that'll do that, but you may want to preserve the original dates on your photos so the other photos app might be yoru best bet. I'm not familiar with any but perhaps someone can recommend one to you.

  • Can't import photos from iPad

When I plug in my iPad to my MacBook in iTunes it shows up as my iPad.  But when I open iPhoto to import the pictures on my iPad it tells me that the device that is plugged in is my iPhone and it won't let me import my photos.  Does anyone know what I need to do to make this work?
    Thank you!

If the photos were taken with the iPad then your computer should treat the iPad like a camera and let you copy them off  : Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support
    Windows 7 : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-pictures-camera-computer#1TC=wind ows-7
If the only photos that you have in the Photos app were synced from a computer then they won't show via the above, if you want to copy them back to a computer then you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer Pro on your iPad to copy the version from your iPad back via your wifi network. To delete synced photos from a device you need to change your photo sync options and resync

  • Importing photos from iPad to PC after new setup of computer.

I hat To setup my PC and want To import my pictures from iPad back To the PC. But iTunes tells me, that my iPad is still connected to another mediathek library. Do U have any idea how I can get back my photos from iPad tommy computer?
    Thanks in advance
    Matze

Copying photos off the iPad (and iPhone and iPod Touch) is done outside of iTunes. For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page for copying them off.
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

  • HT4101 Exclamation point in red when I try to import photos onto iPad from SD card

I get an exclamation point in a red circle when I try to import photos from my SD card using the CAmera Connector accessory. I have successfully used this method for over a year, but all of a sudden, I'm unable to import. I have installed iOS 6. Please help!

    Hi mpt95,
I have the same problem with met 3rd gen iPad.
I tested with 2 camera's and 2 different sd-card. Here are the results:
Canon Ixus: SDHD class 4: Connection oke, Import just fine
Canon Ixus: SDHD class 10: Connection oke, Import just fine
Nikon D3500: : SDHD class 4: Connection oke, no import! Get the red Exclamation point
Nikon D3500: : SDHD class 10: Connection oke, no import! Get the red Exclamation point
Problem is not related to the SDcards, but the combination with the Nokon D3200.
Read on the net that pictures should be in the DCIM folder, and should bet no longer then 8 Characters.
I checkeg this, and it was correct. The red exclamation mark is a mystery and I cannot find the solution on the net. So far.
    What camera are you using?

  • HT1386 Deleting imported photos from iPad .

I have transferred pics from a pc to my iPad, I now want to delete those pics and request some help to do this. I have no problem with iPad photos but can not delete the imported pics.

Not initially, but after I opened the left sidebar from "view" at the top of the screen, I found my device, clicked on it and found photos from there. I was able to delete and all is well now. I just didn't realize I had to physically open the sidebar. It had always opened automatically, so when I updated to the newer version and it wasn't there, I thought that was just the new view. Considering all the many queries on this same topic, others could be making the same mistake.
    Thank you for  your reply!
