Edit in process??

At the end of the editing process when I have saved the fully edited image, I can't get the image out of the "edit in process" mode that has it locked in the organizer.  There is a step that I must be missiing.  Can anyone help me to know what that extra step is?

You need to close the image in the editor before switching back to the organizer.

  • EA1 BUG: Editing a Process Validation then cancelling appends spaces to lines

There is a bug in the Unit Testing section of SQL Developer where spaces are appended to Process Validations.
    To re-create the bug:
Create a Process Validation and type a multi line SQL statement e.g.
        select count (*)
        from USER_TABLES
        where TABLE_NAME = 'EMP'
Edit the Process Validation and click "Cancel"
Edit the Process Validation again - a space will have been appended to the end of the each line.
The above can be repeated, so editing and cancelling five times will append five spaces to each line.
This bug was present in version 3.2.2 (see my previous post) and is still present in version 4.0.0.12.27.

  • Approved invoices can not be edited  - Approval process

    Hi Experts -
I have recently raised an incident with SAP about Approval process - the complete message and support reply is as follows - but i believe we need a change in the approval process - if the approval required is only one but you have defined two people (Either or OR) in the approver list - the system should allow the document to be edited if one of the approvers reject it.
please let me know and i believe we need  a change in design - unless otherwise a solid reason is given to justify the existing design
10.07.2009 10:32 Description (English) by SRS Manian
We have created approval procedure for all the invoices which are entered into the system., The
'Accts' user enters the invoice into the system - the invoice comes for approval to 'Manager' user.
When the Manager opens the invoice via Alert window - he/she wants to modify certain information
(lines as well as Sales person) and approve it.
The invoice which gets opened from the alert window - does not allow the user 'Manager' to modify at
all. All the information on the invoice are greyed out.
The system should allow the user 'Manager' to modify the information. Since the manager has full
    authorization to the system.

         Dear Manian,
    Thank you for contacting us.
When the originator sends the document for manager's approval, note that the at that stage, the document is still in the 'Approval Process'. This is because the system is waiting for the 'Manager' to 'Approve or Reject' the document. Hence, looking at the Document, it is still in 'Draft - Pending' Status.
When the document is in 'Draft-Pending' Status, the document is not available for editing, because the system considers that it is still in the waiting process. In your case, the manager cannot edit t he document.
To amend the document, an action is required from the approver either to reject it first. Once rejected, it can be amended and re-sent for approval.
I have checked our knowledge base and noted that there is an article which describes the approval process. Please refer to the Expert on Phone Wiki Article (March 2009) with title: Why a draft documen t in an approval process cannot be modified by the originator?
The link will provide the explanation:

Thanks for the reply. The scenario is when the Manager receives the
document for approval, he wanted to edit and add it. Your reply (and
documentations) states that it needs to be rejected first before it is
available for editing. When it is gets rejected - the person who
orignated the document gets an alert and he can edit it. Here the
Manager must get an alert so that he can edit the Rejected document.
When the 'manager' rejects the document, and goes back to the alert
window to open the document - it is still greyed out !!
How does the 'manager' reject the document and edits it ?

         Dear Manian,
If after the Manager rejects it and still the document is not editable (greyed out), it means that the document may still be in the 'Approval Process'. When it is greyed out, what is the status of the document in the header? Does it say 'Rejected' or 'Pending'?
If it is still in 'Pending' mode, please verify the number of 'Approvers' set in the 'Stages' tab of the 'Approval Template - Setup' window. If there is more than one user listed as 'Approver', and o nly 1 approval is required, the system provides an opportunity to other 'Approvers' to approve or reject the document. If in your case, the number of approvers is 2, and manager 'rejected' it, the sys tem still keeps the document in Pending status as it waits for another approver's decision to reject or approve it.
Also, verify the number of 'Approvals' required. If the number of 'Approvers' who have not rendered their decision is greater than or equal to the 'Approvals' required (e.g. approvers - 2, required ap provals - 2) the system keeps the document within the approval process. This is to allow the other 'Approvers' to decide on the document.
I hope this clarifies the behaviour. If you can provide us a step by step screenshot of the issue, this may help us to provide a more accurate response.

The number of approvals and approvers may be greater than 1. In this case, the system waits for other approvers to approve or reject the document. Once all the approvers have rejected the document, th en the document will be released and available for editing.

Thank you for the information. The behaviour is a current system definition documented as per Note 1321234. I have attached the said Note for your reference. When only 1 approval is required and there are 2 or more persons are allowed to approve the document, the document does not get automatically rejected when 1 person 'rejects' it. The system waits for other approvers to render their decision b ecause a person may still approve or reject the document.

  • JDeveloper 12c too slow do edit BPM Process

    Dear forum members,
I have installed the quickstart SOA/BPM 12c bundle and I am using Process Composer and JDev to develop a customer's POC.
The problem is, when I download my BPM project from PAM in JDEV, it is really slow do edit it. From moving a task in the model to using data association.
I imported a project without relation to the repository and it wasn't so slow. I also have disabled auto build on save, which actually improved the performance a bit.
    Has anybody experienced that?
    Regards.

I solved the problem by installing the 18964763 patch from Oracle Support.

  • Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition,  Oracle process needs 5 Gb memory

    Hi
Actually i'm under Windows 2003 server Standard Edition and Oracle Standard 9.2.0.6.
I need to have for my oracle process (User Process) a large amount of memory. (>= 5 Gb) probably 3 Gb for the PGA and 2 Gb for the SGA. (roughly).
I'm looking on AWE 4GT etc... Microsoft is'nt clear about this.
People with a similar experiment? Is it necessary to migrate under Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edittion ?
All informations and experiences are welcome.
    Regards
    Den

Before considering ways to overcome process addressing limits (32-bit process virtual address space), Windows Server Std Ed can use/see maximum 4 GB RAM. You cant fit 5GB Oracle Server memory + other stuff + OS in that. I guess your only options are EE 32-bit or Std Ed x64, if you have the hardware.
But, staying on the 32-bit path, it will be hard to achieve confilicting objects of large memory areas. Remember that process virtual space is 4GB regardless of how much RAM the hardware (and OS) can manage.

  • Firefox 4.0 doesn't render validation message when editing page process

    Hi there,
I downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0 this morning. I was using it to edit a PL/SQL page process in one of my applications, and when I applied the changes, rather than returning to the page definition, I was left on the edit process page with no feedback. It turned out that I had introduced an error in the PL/SQL code, but there was no validation message (and my changes of course were not saved). I tried in Chrome (11.0.696.16 beta) and it worked fine (i.e. the validation message displayed - then I corrected the code and applied the changes and was returned to the page definition with positive confirmation of my changes).
    My Apex version is 4.0.1.00.03.
I don't mind rolling back to the previous version of FF, because some of my add-ons are not yet compatible, but I thought I should raise this question in case others are experiencing this issue. Is there a way around it or a fix?
    Regards,
    Jerry

Hmm...I actually cannot replicate this now. Also - the "Return to page" checkbox wasn't ticked when it happened earlier (I tried toggling it).
    Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Once again, how to close file marked "edit in process"

I have several times searched for answer on this, and the same thing keeps happening to me.  I open a jpeg in Organizer and then mvoe to edit.  BUt then I can't figure out how to save it or close it or whatever you are supposed to do.  I just got through with one by exporting it so I could use it in a Publisher project, but it's still in Organizer (PSE9) with the infamous red band.  I can't get into the editor because it's busy and I habe to finish editing.  It's like an endless loop.    There must be some simple solution - but it looks as if a lot of people have trouble with this.
    Please help!!!!!!

The red band in the Organizer would go away as soon as you close the image in Editor.
Please note that the red band would remain there even if you save the image. So the only way to get it removed is to close the image in Editor

In AE, select the clip and control click and choose interpret footage.  Choose the correct parameters and then output.  Kind of a pain.  You can also retime in compressor by setting the desired frame rate the the encoder panel:  video and then in frame controls setting the appropriate timing.
Studio X is a wse man and he's probably right, but I also ran your crash log thru digital rebellions's crash analyzer and this it what it says
    ProKit Framework
This crash seems to have been caused by the ProKit framework. A common cause for this crash is a mismatched framework version. Make sure you have the correct version of ProKit for your version of Cinema Tools.
If you upgraded your operating system, you may have still have older pro user interface elements installed instead of the ones compatible with your current OS. If this is the case, you will need to either update ProKit (if an update is available) or reinstall Final Cut Pro from scratch.

  • Why is my computer "stuttering" while trying to process tasks it's more than capable of handling? (iMovie editing, audio processing, general usage, etc)

I'm really at a loss here.
I recently "upgraded" to a 2008 Mac Pro with 12GB RAM, 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad core processors, 1.5GB VRAM, etc etc. A much better computer than my late 2007 Macbook Pro with a 2.4 GHz Dualcore, 4GB RAM, and 256 MB VRAM.
Despite this massive technical improvement, basic operations still stutter and spurt fairly often. I've checked for Spyware/Viruses/Malware, I've dusted the inside of the tower, I've got plenty of hard drive space left over, and Activity Monitor always has at least 6GB RAM and 75% of the CPU "power" remaining. By all counts, the computer is having no issues at all handling anything I throw at it, and yet... it constantly will freeze for a moment or two, just like my old Macbook Pro used to while it had to load previews of clips in iMovie, load up effects in a music editor, etc etc. It even does this if I full-screen a Youtube video without waiting for it to load fully, or open one program before another one has fully loaded up.
What gives? Why can't I do basic operations without it stuttering a couple of times a minute? The computer is more than capable.

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

    Hi
We've got some processes set up in our processes tab and in ES were are able to edit this.

What version of Premiere Elements (video editor) are you using and what computer operating system is it running? You have posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum, but....
However, I am almost certain, by the nature of your question, that you are using Photoshop Elements (photo editor) and have posted in the
wrong forum. In that case, you either repost your question in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum or you wait for a moderator here to move
your thread from here to there. For Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum, please click on the following link provided for your convenience

  • Cannot edit a workflow process

    Hello,
    please help:
When I select a workflow in Tools 7.8 (on the local database) and right click it and select "Edit Workflow Process" from the context menu, I get this error:
The property 'Drop Sectors' must be set for this view.(SBL-DAT-00237)
Any ideas what this is caused by? Maybe my local database is corrupted?
    Thanks a lot
    Pavel

This is what ML3 came up with: 800x600 resolution and workflow (Doc ID 511175.1)
ML3 should be your first port of call.

  • ES1 Laggy Process Editing

Several of my 8.2 processes are quite large (perhaps 200+ activities).  Unfortunately, the requirements of the process means that I don't have a great deal of subprocess flexibility.  They are getting painful to edit because:
it takes a long time to save changes
it takes a long time to launch to edit
moving activities around the screen is slow
activities no longer want to "line up" to the workbench grid when done moving
Mouse up on drag activity often doesn't want to release the activity
I suspect this has a lot to do with the fact that the Workbench UI is in constant contact with the LC Server.
So ... my question is, does ES2, 9.0, 9.5 eliminate a lot of these issues by allowing you to work in the local sandbox where a constant updating of the LC Server is not required?

One of the major internal changes of the Process Editor is to base its graphic manipulation on a Flash based authoring experiance. Additionally, the periodic background commuication with the server has been largely removed. Your experience editing large process maps with ES2 should be substaintially better than it was with the 8x product.
