Edit in Progress how do I get out or know when it is finished??
I have just read a plea from some-one which sounds exactly like my problem. I could never get on with Photoshop Elements 8 so I thought that when version 11 came out it would be simpler...not to me I still have problems with the edit in progress...how do I know when it is finished and how do I get out of screens when I have finished???I have bought the book...got the latest version...have old CD's from my last attempts...but I am still battling with it.
Picasa on the other hand is great obviously not as comprehensive...maybe I should have just stuck to that instead of spending money I could ill afford.

When you finish in the Editor, save your work; then click Ctrl+W or use the top menu:
File >> Close

How can I get an audio cue when my query finishes?

Here is a solution that I use (Windows only):
I add the following line at the end of my script file:
select chr(7) from dual;Then I run my script with SQL-Plus.

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

How do I get out an iMessage?! Like I have searched every website and still can't find anyway to get out of it. Some of my friends are adding me in these group messages and I am constantly trying to figure out who on earth am I texting! Then my friends eventually tell me who they are and I have to make unwanted contacts in my contact book so I can remember who they are. And sometimes I'm texting my friends moms! Use a new address for iMessage. Use a free gmail.com email address just for iMessage.

If I understand right, your iMac is only starting up to a blank white screen after you log in. If so, there are some good troubleshooting steps that may resolve this behavior.
First, try booting your computer into Safe Mode, to see if your desktop appears in this mode:
Shut down your Mac. If necessary, hold your Mac's power button for several seconds to force it to power down.
Start your Mac, then immediately hold the Shift key. This performs a Safe Boot. Advanced tip: If you want to see the status of a Safe Boot as it progresses, you can hold Shift-Command-V during start up (instead of just Shift).
Note: A Safe Boot takes longer than a typical start up because it includes a disk check and other operations.
If your Mac starts up as expected, immediately try restarting.

II am new to Mac and was trying to transfer data from my PC to my new Macbook Pro. The connection was lost however and now my Pro is stuck on the 'Transferring you nformation' screen. How do I get out of this screen so I can attempt the connection again? Is it safe to force shut down of my Mac and will it still prompt me through all the setup process again?

If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it -
Details? I posted a question about one problem (for which no answers have been offered, but that's okay) and somehow, I've become part of multiple threads about various firefox problems. I have no interest in any of these questions/problems.
How do I get out of these threads? I get about 15-20 emails a day! Firefox is by far the worst community I've even been dragged into....Sorry you are having problems.

Not too sure what you could subscribe to accidentally that causes that behaviour though.
It would be interesting to know what option caused all the email. If something has gone wrong and you are getting e-mails that you should not be getting we can refer this to the admins to look into. The Firefox sumo community certainly does not intentionally spam, and if you are having a problem lets find out more, because others may have a problem and not have reported it. -

Hoping someone alse has experienced this and come up with a solution:
I've lost control of Aperture and don't know what to do. I'm running Aperture 3.3.2 and Mac OSX 10.7.5(11G56) on a 15 inch mid-2010 MBP.
I inadvertently pressed some combination of keys and here's where I am now. It's a black screen with just the Aperture toolbar popping in and out as I movet he mouse cursor to the top. Tool tips appear, but buttons are non responsive.
Pressing 'F' doesn't do any thing and I cannot press the double arrow button on the upper right to exit full screen. Left/right keys don't switch pictures as I'd expect. Only two keys provide response:
The [ESC] key brings me to a blank textil- textured screen where 'F' toggles between this and a screenfull of thumbnails.
The Aperture menu appears on the left part of this thumbnail screen(along with my widgets and the date, time and log in name on the right side), but is inaccessible(no mouse response). Only the widgets on the upper right of the menu bar react to mouse clicks.
'F' toggles between this and the first screen.
I can only get out of these screens by swiping four fingers to move to another desktop.
So how do I get out of this full screen of death?

you have to look in the user preferences, not the system preferences:
The user preferences are hidden by default; reveal them from the Finder's "Go" menu:
Quit Aperture, if it is running:
Open the user library by using the Finder's "Go > Go to Folder" menu and hold down the options-key, until "Library" appears in the drop down menu. Select it.
In the widow that will open, scroll down to "Preferences"
From the "Preferences" folder remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist".
Then try to launch Aperture again.

ios 8 and I had just enough space left to update it. After the update was verifying, it put me on the screen to connect my ipod to iTunes, and every time i try to reset the ipod, it wont let me out of the screen. I don't want to update to ios 8 anymore, because everytime I try to restore the iPod, an error occurs. I am basically being forced at this point to update it, is there any way back to normal ios 7? I updated imovie, which is now totally different. I tried to import videos from iphotos, but the system is now stuck on "import" and it doesn't include iphotos. Clicking on "close" doesn't work. How do I get out of "import" and then how do I access iphoto?
