Edit item in list doesn't allow save changes (save disabled on a custom form)

Hi folks
I created a custom form in InfoPath.
The form works fine when adding a new item. It adds everything entered into the fields, and you can see it in the list.
When I click on the one of the existing entries, it shows OK. I click "edit item" and it allows me to change any field... but the SAVE button is greyed out, and I cannot save any changes.
If I change the form to go back to default and stop using my custom InfoPath form, then I can save changes no problem.
I checked the form in Infopath, and it is not ReadOnly. I have perms to the list (as seen by using the default form ok).
Any ideas?

Can you check whether Allow users to submit this form is checked under Submit Option.

Hello.
Sometimes ago i wanted "Do you want to save changes" message in my own language.
So i created trigger:

I call that trigger in many other triggers like enter_query, ...
Everything worked fine until i created form with master_detail block.
The problem:
I have a form with two blocks. One master, one detail.
If i change something in detail block, go to master block item and press enter_query problem appears.
First i get the message "Do you ..." in my language. When i press NO or CANCEL i get again the message "Do you ..." in original (english) language?
Why is that?
Should i call my trigger somewhere else and not just in enter_query trigger (for this problem) or is checking form_status not enough?

When you create relation, 3 procedures are automatically created for you.
Check_Package_Failure, Clear_All_Master_Details and Query_Master_Details.
When you execute clear_block(no_commit) on the master block -
Clear_All_Master_Details will fire.
If you check Clear_All_Master_Details you will find following code there:
Go_Block(curblk);
Check_Package_Failure;
Clear_Block(ASK_COMMIT); -- This statement causing "Do you want to save changes" to appear

Applescript Editor doesn't allow me to save anything...help!!!

I just can't understand this after doing a thorough through many forums. But when I open Applescript and try to save a script in the "Save As" window, it rejects any filename I give it. I copied and pasted an Apple script for toggling my sound output from Line Out to Headphones. So when I chose "Headphones" as the file name in the "Save As" window I keep getting this error message: "The document "Untitled" could not be saved as "Headphones".
But it doesn't matter what name I give the applescript file, I keep getting this: The document "Untitled" could not be saved as "............"
I'm wracking my brains here to try to figure out what I'm doing wrong. This is maddening. Any help would be much appreciated.

Well done, Gerry Brown. This solution actually helped me to troubleshoot for someone I was helping with a similar Script Editor issue. I actually thought of saving to another directory other than Applications like Desktop, but I'm troubleshooting over a Forum and the other person is offline. So I have no way of testing anything and it would've been like a forum-based version of phone tag. That is, if I could even figure out where to start in a one-way troubleshooting session.You certainly made my life easier with your conclusive answer so thanks haha. Kind of lame Nichy-boy didn't give you a like, but he meant well. I'll get you with a like.

IOS 8.2 - Initiating new email from contact list doesn't allow send

To whom it may concern,
I have noticed a strange issue with iOS 8.2 on iPhone and iPad where if you initiate a new email from your contact list, it will not allow you to press Send because it is grayed out. This option works fine in 8.1.3 and all other options to initiate and send mail appear to work fine in 8.2. I realize this isn't a showstopper, but hopefully this will get addressed in a future OS release. In any event, support case 765105326 has been logged detailing the issue.

I had exactly the same issue, I solved it by restoring my phone to a previous backup where I still have my contacts (I recommend you do another backup before) make sure you deactivate the synchronization of your contacts with your ICloud account so you don´t allow ICloud to erase your contacts again ( do this before restoring) , Once you get your contacts back download a contact backup app, ( i bought the MCBackupPro which you can also use for free if you have less than 500 contacts). Keep them in a safe place and just be careful not to active the iCloud sync tab for your contacts on your phone SETTINGS> ICLOUD>CONTACTS TAB MUST BE OFF. Go to iCloud.com and upload your contacts file (.VCF) on the cloud so you have them backed up just in case, I recommend you do this once a month or after you add many contacts.

Pages, Numbers and Keynotes doesn't allow me to save documents

I created a new document in pages, numbers or keynote and, when trying to save it to my documents folder, it shows me "Couldn't auto-save document".
I've tried with different folders with the same results.
There's no problem when saving to iCloud.
I had installed iWork'09 and moved it to another folder.
Versions are: Pages 5.2.2, Numbers 3.2.2 with OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks in a iMac 27-inch late 2009

Are you running any anti-virus, anti-malware on your Mac? If so, disable this a/v software.
If not, I would suggest the following:
Boot into Recovery (hold command+R at the chime)
Run Disk Utility (verify/repair permissions, and verify drive) on your boot drive
Reboot normally
Boot into safe mode ( you can do this during the above reboot)
At boot chime, press and hold shift key until horizontal progress bar appears
At login prompt, press and hold shift key, after your password, but before clicking right arrow to log in.Press and hold shift key until your Desktop appears
Reboot normally
Re-evaluate if Pages auto-save failure dialog gone.

Error trying to open photo and doesn't allow me to save photo

Why is CS6 giving me an error when I try to open a photo? If I am lucky I can hit open and real fast double click something in the first thing that opens and it might open. Then I go to save it and the save box pops up and very quickly disappers. I have a mac and am running OS X 10.9. I just recently upgraded it and just recently did an update to PS as well. So frustrated! I tried to uninstall and reinstall, but it opened back up with all my actions still loaded and doing the same thing as it was before.
Has anyone else had this problem??? I feel like crying

Is anyone else having this problem? I uninstall photoshop and re-install it because in some forums it seems that worked for some people. But they were also using PC not Mac's.

Edit ACL on Endpoint - Cannot save changes - Save greyed out

I have a trial subscription to Azure. I created my first Windows 2012 VM. I can successfully access the VM remotely.
I'm attempting to add ACLs to the Endpoints. In this example it is an HTTP Endpoint.
The ACL statement is accepted, like so

I have no option to Save the edits. It is greyed out. If I attempt to move on to a different menu, I get a warning about unsaved edits will be lost. When I click away and click back, the ACL is lost.
I basically have no method to save even the simplest of ACL statements. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for posting here.
I tried to reproduce the issue on my machine, I tried editing the ACL which was created and made some modifications to the previously created ACL and I had the option to save it.
Without making any modifications to the ACL list, you may not get the option to "Save" it will be greyed out.
I have attached the screenshot for your reference.
Note: You can also create ACL endpoints on the old Azure portal (www.manage.windowsazure.com)

Document Number series doesn't allow to change period indicator

Dear Experts,
We are facing a problem while going to change period indicator of any document numbering series from previous year to current financial year.
There is no problem creating new numbering series for new financial year. But while trying to change previous year period indicator series with current year It shows a error "Series in use" 3535-9.
We are running SAP B1 Verison 9.02.002 PL 10 Hotfix1
Any help please suggest.

Unable to save changes in console for a custom security provider

I built a custom security provider and dropped it in the mbeantypes folder. This gets picked up by weblogic. I then try to modify the control flags and make it SUFFICIENT. I reboot the server but when i log back in the control flag is reset to OPTIONAL. It not saving the data to the xml file. We are running it on a UNIX box.

I solved the problem by myself.
The log area was at 100%, that's why the configtool wasn't able to save my changes.
Now I changed the backup properties for the log files to AutoLog (in the Backup Wizard) and it works fine.

Can the Ring Properties/Edit Items/Labels be populated by array values?
I'm trying to troubleshoot an existing LabView 7.0 application at our office (this is only the beginning of my nightmare) and I'm finding that there is an array being created out of discrete Elements, which is then being indexed using the Indexed Array function, using a Ring control as the Index input.
What I'm seeing is that whoever created this "Appication" seems to require that any new 'elements' that need to be added to the array need to added in AT LEAST two locations (add the element to the array and add a label on the Edit Items tab of the Ring control used to index the array) and there may be more locations I haven't found that also needs the same information. Since I can't see any way for the array and the ring control to 'compare' the text strings, I'm assuming the array is being indexed using the 'values' from the Edit Items tab. Ths would allow different text in the Ring dropdown than is actually contained in the text of the array.
This is contrary to most of the coding practices I've learned, so I'm wondering if I could use the text strings contained in the array itself to populate Item list in the Ring control?
Later I can create an 'entry form' that would allow new parts to be added by staff that doesn't require knowledge of LabView programming. (The "Users" should NEVER have to see the underlying block diagrams/code to add or edit parts ot test parameter values.)

In 8.2 you can do this with a property node and the "Strings [ ] Property". It accepts an array of strings. Order of strings in array sets the order in the control. Should work in 7.0 as well.

I would like to capture the update event after "yes" is clicked on the pop up message: "Do you want to save changes? yes no cancel" The form id on this object is zero, and I'm having trouble differentiating between this and similar inventory warnings that pop up as the form id is also zero.

I would assume that this is when you are using some of the standard business one forms because if it was a request via code you would have full control over it.
What I like to do is use a before_action and action_sucsess. If the user clicks on cancel, the action_sucsess = False, thus you know your code will only execute when you click ok, unless there were any other errors within SBO, (EG Item not on hand in case of a stock transfer or something) - In which event, you probably dont want your code to excute anyway

Can't modify my Apple ID (doesn't allow to save changes)

Hello all!
So I've tried to change my Apple ID in the "Edit Apple ID" section of my account.
I deleted an alternate email (as this is what I would prefer my primary email to be) and changed the primary email to this address.
Now when clicking save, I don't receive any confirmation & it refreshes the page.
When attempting to leave the web page, it says I can save changes / disregard, when clicking save changes, it just refreshes the page!
Seems like a simple enough task but doesn't work?!
Isn't there an easier way you can change the account details on my iPad?
In addition, the eBay app I have doesn't allow modification of account details... thought that would have been a feature which most people would want access to?
