Edit iTunes Match playlists on devices?

I keep moving a song around from my iPhone 5 in an iTunes Match playlist I've had and it keeps going away. The song will not stay in the order I put it in.  Is there a way to edit an iTunes Match playlist on my phone and have it save it??

The screensaver won't hold 1,000 photos. If you select another album and then select the photo stream album again, you may get a different selection.

  • HT204406 I enabled iTunes Match on multiple devices. When I change certain playlists they update fine on the other devices, but i have a playlist on my macbook pro that cannot be seen on my other devices.  How do I correct this?

I just enabled iTunes Match on multiple devices in my house.  At first, almost all the playlists were duplicated.  I manually deleted the playlists back to one entry per playlist...a real pain.  I could see changes made on one device updating on the other devices for almost all my playlists...which told me things were working correctly.  But....There are a couple of playlists on my Macbook Pro that won't update to my other devices, like my desktop.  What gives?

You can sign in on multiple devices to use iTunes Match but it must be with the exact same Apple ID you used to purchase the service. You will need to sign out of the existing ID on the devcies and sign in with the new one.

  • I have 2 iphones in the family and want to use itunes match on both devices, but my husband has his own itunes acct, how can he use the main itunes library and get out music on his phone also

I have 2 iphones in the family and want to use itunes match on both devices, unfortunately my husband has his own itunes acct and when i change on his phone to my itunes acct it states that the email is already in use, any help on how to get the itunes match to go onto both devices, thanks

    "Method Three
Create a separate iTunes library for each device. Note:It is important that you make a new iTunes Library file. Do not justmake a copy of your existing iTunes Library file. If iTunes is open, quit it.
This one may work. I searched and searched on the website for something like this, I guess I just didn't search correctly, lol. I will give this a try later. My daughter is not be back for a few weekends, therefore I will have to try the Method 3 when she comes back for the weekend again. "
I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. She wants to sync her iPod and also backup her iPod at both places. Both PCs have been authorised. Thanks

  • ITunes Match warning,"This device is already associated with an apple id" .How do I solve?

iTunes Match warning,"This device is already associated with an apple Id. How do I resolve this?

There is no way to overcome this. You can only associate one Apple ID at a time iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID

  • ITunes match across multiple devices?

Is it possible to use iTunes match across multiple devices?  My wife and I use the same computer when at home and we have music stored on that computer. She had her own Apple id to use with her own iPhone, as do I.  We don't want to have multiple music libraries since we liste to most of the same music.  Is it possible to have iTunes match between 2 iPhones that are using different Apple id's but the same iTunes account?
    Thanks

When I try to go to iTunes music match on her phone it asks me to sign into match, which I am assuming is the same as her Apple ID name and password.  This is a different name and password than my account.  So, it seems that she cannot access my "cloud" from her phone in order to download music that I have purchased.  I guess since she has her own iClud account, she needs to sign up for iTunes match through that account and pay the fee.  I was hoping we could access the same 'Cloud" to have the same library of music? Hope that made sense.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Apple TV ( 2&3) - iTunes Match playlist issue

After the latest firmware update none of my ATVs (3 of, 2 ATV2 and 1 ATV3) allow my ITunes Match playlists to be selected using either the ATV remote or iPhone Remote App. When playlists are selected the ATV appears to reset (white LED flashes and connection to iPhone dropped). It is however possible to access playlists successfully using the iPad Remote App??? This ***** as I have my music library stored in the cloud and regularly played music via the ATVs, my son had some of his own playlists which he now gets upset he can't access. Come on Apple sort this out , your loyal customers are getting frustrated by your one step forward & another step back software upgrade program.

Thanks for the advice on how to contact apple.....they don't make it easy!!!!!
However you are incorrect, other people have had this problem, search in iTunes- iTunes Match- discussions for "ITunes crashes when loading playlists on Apple TV".
Interestingly my ATV had an update tonight ( looks like a roll back to me) as the crashing problem has cleared but the previous issue I was having ( and had not reported yet) has reoccurred. The problem is that I have many playlists in ITunes and subsequently in Match however my ATV only shows the first 24 - again frustrating and similarly you can access all the playlists if you connect with iPad remote App but not with the iPhone remote app??

  • ITunes match playlists across multiple devices

my wife has a PC (due to business reasons), my kids each have an iMac, we all have iPhones.  we all use a single "household" apple id so that as my children begin buying more things we'll be able to track their purchases.  if i sign up for iTunes match, I understand that all those devices can be registered to the single iTunes match account, but I'm wondering if the four individual users (using the one apple id) will be able to create their own playlists using iTunes match.

    Hi,
Yes, you can create playlists on each computer. However, a playlist created on one machine will appear on all machines.

  • HT204406 itunes match playlists from imac not appearing on ios devices

I've finally gotten my entire iTunes library onto iTunes Match.  (Be patient folks, it only took 4 weeks for my entire library to load!)
However, the Playlists that I've created on my iMac are not appearing on any of my IOS devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.).
Can anybody help me with what needs to be done on my iPhone and iPad to import my iTunes playlists from my iMac?
    Thanks in advance!

The cause is likely to be a corruption of the iTunes library on the iPhone.  The neatest route is to reset the iPhone to factory condition.
The alternate is to remove the iPhone library files and force it to rebuild them - this is a little more complex but has the upside that you do not need to recreate content on the iPhone, the steps needed are:
    1. Connect iPhone, open iExplorer (or equivalent)
    2. Navigate to iPhone\Media\iTunes_Control\iTunes
    3. Delete these 3 files:
              MediaLibrary.sqllitedb
              MediaLibrary.sqllitedb-shm
              MediaLibrary.sqllitedb-wal
    4. Hard reboot the iPhone (home button + sleep/wake button, hold until you see the apple logo)
Hope that these will work for you - the simplest alternates is here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/22457142#22457142

  • ITunes Match playlist titles sync, but none of the song titles show up.

I just activated iTunes Match and all songs and (I assume) playlists were uploaded.   Upon turning it on for my iPhone, everything worked as expected except for playlists.  They all show up, but no songs are in any of them.  I tried turning iMatch off for my iPhone and then turning it back on to force a resync - which it did, but still no songs in my playlists.

Does this iPod have the contents of your library? If so see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. Otherwise, depending on the nature of the failure, you may be able to extract the hard drive and recover the media from it. Or you will have to rip your CDs again.
If you'd like access to all your media on any device/computer in future you might consider purchasing a subscription to iTunes Match though personally I just maintain my own backup of my library.

  • Sharing iTunes Match across multiple devices

    Hi All,
I have done some searching but I can’t find the answer to my question(s).
    Current setup:
I have 1 PC and 2  Macbooks (my PC and my children have a Macbook each). Each PC/Mac has its own iTunes Library which is linked by my homeshare account. We share most of the music we buy across our libraries via homeshare
We also have 3 iPhone 4’s mine and the children’s. Each iPhone 4 is linked to its own iTunes library on the respective devices and we have 3 separate iTunes accounts.
I have just signed up for iTunes music Match on my PC/iTunes Account and want to know what the deal is regarding setting up my kids iPhones so that they are also linked to my Music Match account and how that can be done. I  also want them to be able keep their own iTunes account so that they can still buy music and apps and download them to their phone and synch to their Macbook iTunes libraries.
    Is this possible?
In summary  - I don’t want to pay for 3 iTunes  Match accounts but want my kids to be able to take advantage (synch to thier iPhones) of the music that is now in the cloud via my music match account whilst keeping their own iTunes accounts.
Hope this is clear and that someone can help…
    Cheers
    M

what makes it tricky is the individual itunes accounts for apps.
regarding music, my recommendation is to put each computer on the same itunes account (keep the files, but link the computers to the same account)  when you activate match on each computer, the software will add the files from each respective computer and will create a master library (each computer will be able to see ALL files from all three computers.  Then, I would put each iphone on the same itunes account (everyone share the same account).
    as for apps:
I'm thinking I am reading right that the three iphones are linked to separate computers.  I am pretty sure that an itunes account on a laptop or desktop can be "authorized" by multiple accounts.  One beauty of itunes 10.5 is the ability to sync an iphone on one computer for "photos" and use the same iphone to sync to another computer for "apps" and another computer for "podcasts" etc (if anyone had any use for doing such a thing).  What I believe this would allow someone in your situation to do, is to essentially be able to log each child's iphone into one itunes account for itunes match, but then use each individual computer to still sync the children's different app accounts.  One child can sync to one computer for their apps and another child to another computer for their apps, etc.  The difference, however, is i'm pretty sure there is no getting around what to do about future bought apps.  they might all have to be bought on one account.  If that is truely the case, you may not be able to do separate itunes accounts.  In such a scenario, i would add everything to the itunes account that has the most apps, and begin shareing apps among them in order to share itunes match

  • How can I turn OFF iTunes Match on ALL devices?

I am in Australia and just paid AUD34.99 last night to buy iTunes Match and have had so much trouble with it since I want to turn it OFF on all devices.  Ideally I'd love a refund but understand that terms and conditions may limit this - though am really disappointed that it simply does not seem to work despite me following everything to set it up correctly.
In theory, it's a great service and I'm sure in the long run will be useful but for now until I could figure it out I wanted to just turn it OFF on both my iphone & Macbook pro - have done this in settings - music - turn off on iPhone...but still ON!  Also on Macbook, have turned off in store - turn off - and it's disappeared off my store options - BUT IS STILL ON in Itunes!
It's not only the hours of my time and frustration at trying to do simple things, for example had some friends around today and trying to just play music on my mac, and it kept skipping all over the place (i.e. would not finish a track, go to the next one, then skip through several on shuffle meaning a long gap between songs).  It also does not find a lot of music in my library that is definitely already in iTunes store, meaning that it is using my valuable upload limit for a lot of songs.
Overall, what the app promises and what it actually delivers in practice is very disappointing and frustrating.   I realise it's just recently launched so may still have some issues, but I don't want to pay for a service that doesn't work properly for me - and then not even be able to turn it off?  Can anyone help or have had similar experiences?  I've emailed Apple customer support but meanwhile wanted to try and get this sorted asap.

ok after another hour of playing around i might have half solved this...I turned match off via my account within the store which didn't seem to work properly, but then found another option to "turn off" via the store dropdown in the menu bar which does seem to have worked on my mac (but not yet on my iphone so still need to figure this out). Now I have turned it off on my mac it seems to offer me the option to buy it again - but as i've already paid for the year I don't know if there is the option to turn on again if I choose to later?

  • HT4914 Can you use iTunes Match on multiple devices with different apple id's ?

I have multiple phones with the same iTunes ID but they have different apple ID , will the iTunes Match work with all my devices ?

I've got the latest version of iTunes & it's supposed to be able to be enabled under top panel "store" then appear down left side panel to subscribe. Which makes me think that it musn't be able to be used if you're running XP as it's not there....

  • How to properly set up iTunes Match on multiple devices

    Hi,
I've just purchased iTunes Match and I would like to set it up to all devices in my apartment. I've read that you can set it up up to 10 devices.
    My situation:
I have MacBook Pro, iPhone 4 and iPad with my Apple ID.
My wife has her MacBook Pro and iPhone 3GS with her Apple ID.
My Macbook is authorised with her account and her MacBook is athorised with my account, so we can copy music from each other.
We have almost the same music library, just with few differencies (I have more heavy music and she has bit more soft music).
I've purchased the iTunes Match on my MacBook. How could I turn the iTunes Match on her MacBook and iPhone?
Thanks a lot for any advice or link

  • ITunes Match on multiple devices at home?

    Hi,
At home we have 3 iPhones and 2 iPads.
On one of them I subscribed to iTunes Match for $25 a year.  I thought on all my other devices I would just be able to turn on iTunes match under that one payment of $25, but when I try it says I'm not subscribed.
All the iPhones and iPads share the same apple ID, except in "iTunes & App Store" the apple id is slightly different.  I tried to change my phone that says I'm not subscribed to iTunes Match to the same "iTunes & App Store" ID as the one that has iTunes Match....but when I do it says that apple ID is already in use and won't let me save it on my second devise.
Can I pay the one fee and it applies to all my devices (if so any troubleshooting tips to fix), or is it $25 per device?
    Thanks
    Dave

You can sign in on multiple devices to use iTunes Match but it must be with the exact same Apple ID you used to purchase the service. You will need to sign out of the existing ID on the devcies and sign in with the new one.
