Edit list of workbooks portlet defaults

How to set the parameter of 'List of workbooks Filter list by' when editing list of workbooks portlet defaults so that the porlet just shows the workbooks of Discoverer according to the Filter condition?

You need to enter the value without % or quotes.

Problem on Portlet for list of workbooks

Hi,
I followed the instruction on 'How to use OracleAS Discoverer with OracleAS Portal' on Oracle Application Server Discoverer Configuration Guide.
1. I check make sure the portlet provider URL works.
2. I registered the portlet Provider.
3. I refresh the portlet provider after I applied the changes.
But according to the document, the Discoverer list of workbooks and Discoverer workbook portlets should show up at portlet staging folder.
Any suggestion or tip?

Did you add a portlet to your portal? Add the portlet, then click edit defaults and the Discoverer Portal Provider walks you thru a dialogue.

Query to find the list of workbooks and worksheets assiciated to those book

Hi Santosh
The whole point of the STATS table is to allow you to query performance, who did what and when. The database itself does not keep such statistics so if you disable Discoverer's method of capturing these you have no way of knowing who did what and when.
Without this it is impossible to say. I would strongly recommend you enable the capturing of statistics.
The reason you cannot directly query a WORKBOOK to determine what WORKSHEETS are associated with it is because that information is stored as binary information and not in SQL format.
Discoverer 10g has the capability of providing detailed information on the EUL. This feature is not offered "out of the box" but can be easily enabled.
The EUL Administrator can enable the feature by completing the following steps (see also MOS Note 556932.1):
1. Log on to SQL*Plus as the Discoverer Administrator on the machine where Discoverer Administration Edition is installed.
2. Execute the EUL5.SQL script found in the *$ORACLE_HOME\discoverer\util* directory. (This script will create the necessary database objects.)
NOTE: If you are using an Oracle Applications mode EUL, you must also run the eul5_apps.sql file in the $ORACLE_HOME\discoverer\util directory. This script must be run as the EUL owner, and not the Oracle Applications SYSADMIN user.
4. Exit SQL*Plus and log on to the Discoverer Administration Edition product (as the EUL Administrator).
5. From the menu bar, select File | Import.
6. Import the EUL5.EEX file from the ORACLE_HOME\discoverer directory. Once the EUL import is complete, a new business area will be created and visible called The Discoverer V5 EUL. This is the business area that provides the details on the EUL.
EUL Management Workbooks for Discoverer Administrators
The EUL5.EEX file also imports four pre-built Discoverer workbooks. These workbooks are automatically saved to the database during the EEX import and can be executed in Discoverer Plus, Viewer or Desktop:
EUL Workbook Management - shows which workbooks are shared with which users. Examine worksheets to find the folders, items, joins and conditions they depend upon.
EUL Access - This Workbook indicates if a current EUL exists in this users schema. It also displays the EUL's in other user schemas that this user can access.
EUL Query Statistics - Find out which workbooks and worksheets are being used by whom. Examine users ad-hoc queries.
Lineage - Hyper Drill from Discoverer to find a folder or Items Lineage in Oracle Warehouse Builder. To enable the Hyper drill, you will first need to run the Lineage.sql script.
The Discoverer Administrator can use the pre-built workbooks or build their own EUL management workbooks by using the Discoverer V5 EUL business area.

Discoverer List of worksheets portlet font size

Does anyone know how to resize the text size in the discoverer list of worksheets portlet. We have 2 servers which are supposed to be identical but on one server the portlet text is displayed in a larger size. I have tried changing the font size in the style but it has no affect.

So I understand this correctly: You can't open the worksheets from Portal as the users that has the ability to use them in Discoverer? If the connector uses a common identity (database user) that has permissions, I would suggest that you verify a these things...
Make sure that the Portlet is setup with the worksheets selected that you want to see. I have seen it where you can see the workbook, but no worksheets because the workbook worksheets were not selected and the portlet is setup to "select worksheets" type is selected with no sheets selected.
Make sure that your Portlet is using the connector that you manaully choose when you use Plus or Viewer.
Verify that you are sharing the workbook's worksheets with the users you have setup in the connector.
Are you using VPD for anything?

Hi Friends,
In the SharePoint 2013 we have edit list option is there.If we edit the list all the rows will be in edit mode.
If I edit the list First column data in second column,second column data in third column and so one....
SharePoint 2013 list edit mode how can I align the data in First column data in first column,Second column data in second column and so one....
Please can any one help me on same.It is very urgent.

Sorry I didn't get you. Please clarify below for my understanding.
1. Are you referring to Quick Edit in SharePoint 2013 list?
2. What alignment --> By default first column will be on first column data. can you post more details on what you would like to accomplish.?

One thing you could try, if you are using Sun Webserver as the Web Container and
installed it in the default path:
/opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/bin/wdeploy list -i <portalserverhostname> -v https-<portalserverhostname>
will list all deployed web applications, which include your portlets.

Highlighting a List Tile view by default

Hi Experts,
I have a screen with list tile view having list of objects. When I navigate to that screen I want that the first object on the list be selected by default.
I created a style for the selected row but each time I have to click on the first element to get it highlighted.
Is there a way to get the first element in the list highlighted without clicking on the list?
Can this be accomplished by List view or any other element in agentry?
I am using Agentry version 6.1.4.1004 and SMP 2.3.

Hi Amitoj,
For this you can use List Selection Step in Action
1)Go to Action which navigates to this list tile view screen.
After navigation step just add List Selection Step in action stpes as shown below.
2)Configure Its Details as shown below.
Also you may write a rule to select a particular tile from that list tile view instead of SelectRows->First Row.

Bug editing list Items using webpart connections ,group by and inline editing

Hi Everyone. I came across a bug using out of the box features.
Let me explain well the details to reproduce the error. I used :
*2 Lists :
-List one : the consumer list with two columns :
-Number column
-Choice column
-List two :
The sender list with one column :
-Lookup column to gets the number column on the consumer list
*A webpart Page
*2 listviewwebparts in the webpart page
*Connect webparts to filter by the lookup column/number column
*Add inline editing in the consumer webpart
Till now everything works perfectly, inline editing works fine. Let's add some more view details :
*Add a group by in the view of the consumer webpart (group by the choice column)
=> Try to edit list items, you will notice that inside a group, inline editing is OK and inside another group it doesnt work!
If you get the same error, that would be nice to find where is the problem (I already found a similar bug and the problem was the sorting that needs to be in the same way for both connected webparts , ASC or DESC). But this one... ???

According to your description, I create the consumer list and sender list, create a webpart page , add a chioce filter webpart and consumer list webpart. But after I add a group by in the view of the consumer webpart, the inline edit still work fine.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to modify the width of the New Form and Edit Form of a list in SharePoint 2010 .
1.Go to your SharePoint site -> your list.
2.In top ribbon click List tab(List Tools).
3.Towards right you will see option as Form Web Parts, click on it, the three forms will be listed there [New Form, Display Form, Edit Form].
4.Select the one on which you want to increase the width/height.
5.It will open in edit mode, click on Add a Web Part.
6. Click on Forms [Categories] => HTML Form Web Part.
7.After adding the HTML Form Web Part, click on Edit WebPart.
8.Click on Source Editor, Remove all code from it and put an empty HTML table with width and height as per your requirement ex. to increase width

<TR><TD></TD></TR>
</TABLE>
9.Save the form and check out your respective modal by clicking on the same in your list view.

How to create an editable List box

Hi,
Can any body help me out in creating an editable list box, I mean the options should be editable in the listbox. Thanks in advance.

I mean, you have dropdown list box with some options.
They will not be editable in the normal scenario. I want one of the options to be editable, similar to a textbox , when selected.
Is that possible in JSF? If any one could help with Javascript also, its fine for me.

Programmatically display edit link to a portlet

I am using Oracle Portal Version: 10.1.2.0.2 (Build: 139).
I have successfully added a portlet to a portal page using pl/sql.
Does anyone know how to display the edit link for a portlet using pl/sql?

Edit mode in JSR168 Portlet

Hi all,
I m using Portal version 10.1.4 and developing JSR168 Portlet using JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 (Build 1913).
There is a edit mode in my portlet and i have done entry for this mode in portlet.xml and also implemented doEdit() method.
inside doEdit() method i have also written response.setContentType("text/html");
Successfully deployed the .ear and also registered the WSDL url.
But when i click on the Personalize link of the portlet then a page comes with a message
Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception.
And the error in wsrp_default_island_1\application.txt is
javax.portlet.PortletModeException: Portlet mode "edit" is not allowed in current context
at oracle.webdb.wsrp.server.PortletURLImpl.setPortletMode(Unknown Source)
Could any one tell me where i m doing wrong.

Hi Harsha,
Actually there is a problem with setPortletMode method of PortletURL.
When i use
PortletURL portletURL=renderResponse.createActionURL();
portletURL.setPortletMode(PortletMode.EDIT); (Although it is not required , but in case if situation occurs like if i want to change the mode then it will fail)
In this case if i click on Personalize link then it is throwing an exception.
Is it bug with Oracle Portal , i don't know....
When i comment that code then every thing is working perfectly for me
and the required jsp is rendering in Edit mode of the Portlet.

Navigation - Edit List

Hi All,
I have created a new assignment block.
It allows user to enter data in create mode.
It displays the data when users search for it.
However, we have one more thing Change mode.
Please help me how to get the "Edit List" bustton in display mode (As other assignmet blocks have).

buttons are usually inserted in the DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method of your controller
there you can check if IV_FIRST_TIME is true, then fill a global table containing your buttons
in the view layout you specify this global table in "buttons" parameter of your config table

List of Workbooks and shared Responsibilities

As a part of SOX compliance, we would like to create a report that runs against the "Discoverer EUL" which will give me a list of workbooks name and all the responsibilities it is shared with.
however it is difficult to understand how the joins should be created. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Set portlet default to Maximized

I want to set the portlet default state to maximized. I know it can be set default to minimized in the properties window. I also looked into programmatica way when I have the PortletBackingContext handle. But I didn't see the option to do that.
I also tryed to modify the portlet.xml and weblogic-portlet.xml files but got exception back. My weblogic-portlet.xml like this:
