"Edit Locally" for Repository having "Read only" rights

hi,
    I am on EP6.0 SP9.
When I go to
     Content Administrator --> KM Content --> Repository(having "Read Only" rights),  and click on "Context Menu" an option "Edit Locally" come there. But as the repository has "Read only" rights, I need to disable that option.
Is there any way to do that?
Regards
Mridul.

Hi Patricio,
            Perhapps that link is not woking fine, so i have pasted that code here, so please have a look at the code here,
public void received(IEvent event) {     IRecipient recipient = null;
     IResourceEvent myEvent = (IResourceEvent) event;
     IResource res = (IResource)event.getParameter();
     System.out.println("Event");
     String resname = res.getDisplayName();
     try{
     ISubscriptionManager subscriptionManager =
com.sapportals.wcm.repository.service.subscription.SubscriptionUtils.getSubscriptionManager(res);
     ISubscriptionCondition mycondition =
subscriptionManager.createSubscriptionCondition();
     mycondition.setInterval("ALWAYS");
     mycondition.setRecursionLevel("999");
     mycondition.setRidTracking
(subscriptionManager.getDefaultConditionRidTracking(res));
     ISubscription simpleSubscription =
subscriptionManager.createSubscription( res.getContext(),resname,  mycondition, res, null, recipient,  null);
     }catch (WcmException e){
          System.out.println(e);     }
Thanks And Regards,
Mridul.

    I have an external hardrive for MAC, I needed to save something from my work computer so I can pass it on to my MAC, it requiered me to re-format my external HD and now when I connected to my MAC I only have "read only rights". How do I fix it? I run my Itnues from this external and now my library is gone. Luckily I have it saved somewhere else, which is not a problem, but I won't be able to write to this HD for right now. I can't see an option to give those permission back.

    Unless what you have to transfer is enormous, skip the external HD altogether and use a USB flash drive; you can get them with capacities to 128GB. Format the flash drive as FAT32 or ExFAT as LowLuster suggests so it can be read and written to on both PC's and your Mac.

  • I want to give a user to read only rights on sql server agent 2008

    I want to give a user to read only rights on sql server agent 2008.When I giving SQLAgentuser Role then user is only able to view SQL Server agent as Green but no job visible in job activity monitor.Currently he has db_reader rights on one user database.
    What rights should I give?
    Thanks

    There are 3 SQL server Agent fixed database roles in sql server.
    1.SQL AgentUSerRole:- To create and manage jobs
    2.SQLAgentReaderRole: To grant read acces.
    3.SQLAgentOperatorRole : to run and delete jobs.
    For you question you can create a user and grant him SQLAgentReaderRole.
    Example:
    Create LOGIN test with Password='abc'
    Use msdb;
    GO
    Create User test for login test
    use msdb;
    EXECUTE sp_addrolemember @rolename='SQLAgentReaderRole',@membername='test'
    Hope this solves your problem!!!

  • Read only rights Personal directory

    I'm using cucm 9.1. I want to give Read only rights on Personal directory to some of my IPT users.
    How can i acheive this in CUCM 9.1.
    Regards

    That's not an option with personal directories; they are always editable by the end user account. You can use ecosystem partner products (or your own coding if you're so inclined) to create read-only directories and then subscribe these to the phone(s) that you want to see that custom set of listings.
    To be honest, at very small scale you could just write the XML flat file in accordance with the XML SDK, create a phone service with the URL to that XML file, and subscribe a single phone to it. Anything more ellaborate than this just makes it easier to maintain at scale.

  • CDR Admin Read Only rights

    I would like to set up a CAR Admin with read only rights.  Meaning they can generate reports but not change any of the setting.  Ie CDR dial-plan config, Auto report generation.  Is there really a way to do that or do I have to make a "CARUser" account and then make "CARUser" a manager for the whole company?

    There are only 3 kinds of users you can have in CAR and they're not configurable beyond that. There is no MLA here.

  • Grant read only-rights to own schema

    Hallo,
    i have a schema (and i am the owner) of schema bbi. Now I wanna give to me read-only- rights. Is this possible? What ist the sql-query to give this rights to bbi? Which rights do I have as the owner of a schema? Which tables are nessasary?
    Hope I do not mix anything!!
    Thanks, Katrin

    One possible way would be to put your table into an
    read-only tablespace, but then no one could update
    it.Although the owner can still drop tables in a read-only tablespace (since that only involves updating entries in the data dictionary).
    I'd second Andrew's question about why you'd want to do this. Normally, you would have one user that owned all the objects and grant many other users read-only access to that schema.

  • Subscription mail for Repository having only Read rights?

    Hi all,
           I am working on EP6 SP9.
    I have configured the subscription service for the few repositories.
    When I apply subscription on any document or folder for which i have Read and Write rights, I get the subscription mail notification when I make any changes in that document or folder through portal.
    But a repository which opens only in read only mode, i.e. I can't make any changes through the portal:
    1. I have applied subscripion for any doc or folder.
    2. As I have only read only access on the repository, I make changes in that document or folder from the back end.
    But the problem is: <b> I do not get any subscription mail notification after making changes in document or folder. </b>
    Please help me on topic.
    Thanks in Advance

  • SQL Server 2012 - Wat Is The Best Solution For Creating a Read Only Replicated/AlwaysOn Database

    Hi there I was wondering if someone may have a best recommendation for the following requirement I have with regards setting up a third database server for reporting?
    Current Setup
    SQL Server 2012 Enterprise setup at two sites (Site A & Site B).
    Configured to use AlwaysOn Availability groups for HA and DR.
    Installed on Windows 2012 Servers.
    This is all working and failover works fine and no issues. So…
    Requirement
    A third server needs to be added for the purpose of reporting, to be located on another site (Site C) possibly in another domain. This server needs to have a replicated read only copy of the live database from site A or Site B, whichever is in use. The Site
    C reporting database should be as up-to-date to the Site A or Site B database as possible – preferably within a few seconds anyway….
    Solution - What I believe are available to me
    I believe I can use AlwaysOn and create a ReadOnly replica for the Site C. If so do I assume Site C needs to have the Enterprise version of SQL server i.e. to match Site A & Site B?
    Using log shipping which if I am correct means the Site C does not need to be an Enterprise version.
    Any help on the best solution for this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Steve

    for always on - all nodes should be part of one windows cluster..if there site C is on different domain - I do not think it works.
    Logshipping works --as long as the sql on site C is is same or higher version(sql 2012 or above).  you can only do read only.
    IMHo, if you can make site C in the same domain then, Always is better solution else log shipping
    also, if your database has enterprise level features such as - partitonin, data compression -- you cannot restore the database on lower editions- so you need to have enterprise edition.
    Hope it Helps!!

  • Physical disk for OS and read only filesystem after live migration

    I am running OVM 3.1.1 connected to an EMC storage array.  I have a situation where physical disks are being used for OS and binary filesystems (i.e. /u01, etc..) rather than virtual disks inside a repository.  When a VM is migrated from one host to another, I sometimes get a message stating the size of the disk changed and shortly afterwards the filesystem is changed to read only and I have to reboot to fix the problem.  Is this an unsupported configuration or do I have potential problems with my LUN mapping?  Has anyone seen this problem before?

  • Creating row in a recursive view having read-only attribute

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2.
    I have a view AppMenusVO with the participation of following entities:
    1. AppMenusEO *(Updateable)* with columns like MenuId, MenuName, MenuIcon, MenuParentId, MenuTaskflowId
    2. AppTaskflowsEO *(Reference)* with columns as TaskflowId, TaskflowName, and TaskflowURL
    3. AppMenusEO as ParentMenus *(Reference)* with columns as ParentMenuId, ParentMenuName
    Next I created a One..Many view link where source and destination entity is the AppMenusVO based on relation (MenuId=MenuParentId). The name of the view accessor is MenuChildren.
    This view is used to create af:treeTable component on the adf page. In order to create new row I am following the blog entry at http://jobinesh.blogspot.com/2010/05/crud-operations-on-tree-table.html.
    I created a business method in the application module with the following specification:
        public void createMenuChildren(RowIterator ri, Key selectedNodeKey) {
            if (ri != null && selectedNodeKey != null) {
                Row[] found = ri.findByKey(selectedNodeKey, 1);
                if (found != null && found.length == 1) {
                    System.out.println("Node found for : " + selectedNodeKey + " Parent Id : " +
                                       found[0].getAttribute("MenuParentId"));
                    Row foundRow = found[0];
                    RowSet childRows = (RowSet)foundRow.getAttribute("MenuChildren");
                    while (childRows.hasNext()) {
                        Row r = childRows.next();
                        System.out.println(r.getAttribute("MenuName"));
                    Row childrow = childRows.createRow();
                    childrow.setAttribute("MenuParentId", foundRow.getAttribute("MenuParentId"));
                    childRows.insertRow(childrow);
                } else {
                    System.out.println("Node not Found for " + selectedNodeKey);
        }When I invoke this method from the adf page it is giving the exception An attemp is made to validate an already invalid region site.
    The Jdeveloper console is also throwing the exception oracle.jbo.ReadOnlyAttrException: JBO-27008: Attribute ParentMenuName in view object AppMenusVO_MenuChildren_ParentMenusVL_AppMenusVO cannot be set.
    I searched Google and OTN but unable to resolve the error.
    The solution I have tried are:
    The default activity on the BTF is marked and is pointing to a valid view.
    Set the activation property of region to immediate ... etc.
    BUT the issue persists.
    Any help to create row programmatically in recursive view where some of the attributes are read-only?
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards
    Bilal

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the response.
    The updateable property of ParentMenuName attribute is Never and is being disabled so I am unable to change its value. Moreover, never in my code I am changing value of this field. What I am doing is trying to create a new row and then insert it into rowset. I don't know how to proceed further.
    One more thing is that I have an LOV on another column MenuParentId which returns value in this field as well. It might be the reason? ...
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Best practice for making form read-only at certain steps in process?

    I have a process with a single form and 4 Assign Task operations.  During Assign Task operations 1 and 3, the form is edited.  During Assign Task operation 2 and 4, it should be read-only (it is reviewed and acknowledged, but not changed).   There is no single criteria in the form data that indicates whether a form should be read-only or not -- this is only signaled by the step in the process.  What is the best way to manage the read-only state?
    Is there a way to make the form read-only via a setting in Workbench, or should I do this via a script in the form?
    Thanks!

  • Help needed with 'Conditions' for field with read only on demand

    Hy guys,
    I really need your help now, i have two items named P22_LOGIN_TYPE (..wich can be 'Default' or 'Special') and P22_PASSWORD, i need to turn to 'read only' the second item when the first item is 'Default', i'v tryied the conditional option but with no success, i know is managed from there but it's not working for me, it seems that i don't know exactly how to do it. By the way, i have APEX 2.2.
    I need an exact guide (explanation) on how to do it, thank you very much.
    Best regards,
    Victor

    Firstly you could set your First item to be a select list with submit. Make the branch go to the same page.
    Secondly, on the read-only conditions for your second item, use the condition when item in expression 1 = value in expression 2, and set that to 'Default' in expression 2.
    Essentially this will re-submit your page when you make a selection either 'Default' or 'Special'. If 'Default' is selected, then the PASSWORD item will be rendered as read-only. If you don't want to display the PASSWORD item at all, you can put the above condition for the read-only, into the conditions section of the item.
    Hope this helps and is not too confusing. It reads a lot worse than it actually is ;)
