Edit more than one text box at a time?

I find it extremley irritating having to go through every text box changing each line, for example when you make a business card is it possible to change all the text boxs at the same time?

Yes you can drag a VCard from your AddressBook or a *Numbers Spreadsheet* on to the page and it will automatically populate the entries if they are set up to merge, which most of the templates are.
If you drag a Group from AddressBook it will create as many pages of Business Cards as there are entries in the Group, one per page.
Be aware there are 2 types of merges, one for *Your details* +Sender Field+ (obtained from your personal details in the Address Book) and one for *Others details* +Merge Field+ inserted from:
+Menu > Insert > Merge Field / Sender Field+
The business card templates are constructed for +Sender Fields+, delete each entry and replace with the appropriate *Merge Fields*.

Changing text colour affecting more than one text box

I am creating a word cloud in a shape as a design.
I want to use only 3 colours for the words randomly. Each word is in a seperate text box
I am finding however that when I change the colour of one word it automatically changes a few? I cant work out why?

What I've done in the past is
Find out how many characters per line.
Setup character style called VarLine 1, VarLine 2, VarLine 3 etc.
Set up a paragraph style for your text.
Go to the nested style.
VarLine 1 up to # characters
VarLine 2 up to # characters
VarLine 3 up to # characters
etc.
Set up your Variables for
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Then set each one to pick up the appropriate VarLine character style.
This works to a certain extent, it will need tweaking, as each application is different. I'm not sure if it will work in your case, but you never know.

More than one text area on a slide master... how?

Is it possible to define more than one text area on a master slide? If so how?
I want to have a layout with two columns of text - a fairly common layout in presentation packs - but can't persuade Keynote to accept this as a layout for a template. I realise that there can only be one 'body' area, but any attempt to produce a 'fake' second body area fails - whether I put in a text box or a shape with text in.
If I put it in as a text box, I can't put a limit on how big the box is.
If I put it in as a shape with text in, when I try to enable the shape as a text placeholder, it forces the whole text in box to have same format as 'top level' outline.
Any ideas?

If you want two columns of text, why not set up the Body textbox with two columns? Select the Body textbox on the slide master, then in the Text Inspector, in the Columns tab, set however many columns you want.

Zen Vision M 30GB - How to edit more than one tag at once

I?m looking for a comfortable way to edit the tags on my player. I?ve installed ZEN Vision M Series Media Explorer, but I can only add one file at once. I?ve tried a normal tageditor, but I can't see the player in the device list.
Does anyone know a tool for editing more than one file at once ?

Not able to edit more than one function of new photos

I recently upgraded my iPhoto to 09 after shifting to Leopard 10.5 on my G5. Today, for the first time after the upgrade, I loaded about 100 photographs and have found that I am unable to edit more than one function at a time on these image. For example, the image contrast can be adjusted, but, following that, no other function or cropping appears to work. The saved image, after selecting "Done", doesn't show any change other than the initial edit. Surprisingly, I am able to perform multiple edits on the images that were already in the Library (8,500!). After looking at this forum's topics and trying some of the suggestions provided for other editing issues, I've tried to edit more than one function in full screen view, library and album modes with no success.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you go the PS or PSE route this many be of some help:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 6 the Saving File preferences should be configured: "On First Save: Save Over Current File". Also I suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). Can't Open more than One Internet Browser at a Time

I bought a Toshiba laptop this past spring which I use, offline, at the office. i've had a problem with it since the day I hooked it up to the internet the first time. I can't open more than one internet browser at a time. Windows 7. I had need to get online with it today and had forgotten about this problem.
I called Toshiba and they wanted to sign me up to some fee-based service. They said, without checking anything (or even asking me who I am, or what my computer serial number is) that I had a virus. Is there a virus going around that causes this problem? IF so, how could I possibly get it considering I bought this computer in a sealed box?
My AV software does not pick up any viruses. I use Avast.
Can anybody help me?

To open a new browser window, Ctrl-n while in the browser will probably work, or it your browser supports tabs, try Ctrl-t

This cannot be done unless these characterstics are related to each other in some way as Charactertics & Display Attributes.
The reason being when you drill down the 0cust_sales , there is no link from 0Cust_sales to the other characterstics hence there is no prompt for these characterstics to be drilled down.
However, a smiliar thing might be acheived by adding these chareacterstics into the 0cust_sales in teh query designer by dragging n dropping them over 0cust_sales. you can try this and see if this is close to your requiremetn.

Is there any way that i can call more than one reports at the same time through the .FMX file. At the moment i can call only one report, if i need to call another report then i have to close the 1st report, then it will show me the 2nd report. Report Background Engine can run more than one reports at the same time?

Yes i know, we can submit multiple - asynchronous- jobs, but the problem is, is not possible to open more than one previewer to see multiple reports at the same time for analysis.

I have a Plantronics 975 earpiece that works very well with my Razr. I
just got a Panasonic KX-TG7873S phone system for my home, it has a
"Link-to-Cell" cellular convergence solution, from what I understand it is
just Bluetooth enabled. I have paired both device with my Razr. In
settings, Bluetooth setting, both device show. But only one device can
connect at a time. If my Plantronics is connected and I choose the
Panasonic device, the Plantronics device disconnects and the Panasonic
device then says it is connected. Both devices work when they
are connected. Is it because they are both "headsets"?
So, to have to remember to connect to one or the other device, depending on
weather I am coming or going is not practical.

I think Justin is correct and you should have statistics in place and a reasonable partition scheme so that the optimizer selects the correct partitions rather than telling it what to do. You paid a lot for partitioning after all.
There are some, possibly misguided, examples in the manuals showing how to create a view so you can delete from a single partition without specifying the partition criteria in the delete statement. This in effect turns partitioning back into DIY partitioning i.e. separate tables, union all and pretend its a single logical table using a view. But backwards.
So to do what you want you just assume the partitions are separate tables, and then use union all to glue the ones you want back together.

I have found out how to use data merge, but it won't allow me to select more than one data source at a time, therefore, making me use 800 sheets of paper instead of 100. That's not acceptable!! Is there a way to merge the pdfs if I make 8 different ones in the places they need to be? Each file that I export will have 100 pages, so is there a way to merge the files to put all eight tickets on each sheet, sequentially? This is driving me nuts!!!!!!!

Past users have solved this frustrating problem. You can find their solutions with a Google search like "InDesign data merge multiple sequential items on one page" without quotes.
