Edit Multiple items.Is There a way?

I have a very large number of recorded Tv-shows in my mac,I want to edit them all together.So that I can place them in the Tv Shows library instead of the movies library.They are about 200 Episodes So I can't do it one by one.How can I edit the Video tab when in ''multiple items,Get info''.I Have the same proplem with music videos.How can I edit them all together?

To Kirk--I saw that screen when I was trying to troubleshoot before doing the smart thing and asking the forum--but do I have to have both drives plugged in at the same time? It's (appropriately) only showing the one that's currently plugged in (whether "Oldie" or "Newbie").
To Eustace--yes, that's what I would assume would happen--it's what happened when I plugged in "Oldie" for the first time. I was caught off guard when it didn't prompt me this time. For plenty of people, "hey, if I plug in any external HD it asks if I want to use it as backup--sweet! Because I [launched my old one out of a fifth-story window by mistake] or something.

I'm having to copy the clip rename it as clipreverses.wav then bring it back into audition to use it.
Sony Vagas you can flip the same clip on a different track with a right click and not affect any other copies of that clip.

Not that I'm aware of, no. You can easily make a unique copy of a clip (right-click on it, and you get it already saved for you), and I'd say that having this was more flexible in one way, at least, as you could then time-stretch it if you wanted to, without altering all other instances of it. Not saying that there wouldn't be any point in having a reverse-play option - I can see instances where it might be useful. It's just that it's not exactly difficult to achieve this anyway, which is probably why I don't ever recall a request for it!

When closing multiple tabs, is there any way to get back the option of saving those tabs OR NOT for your next session, within the warning dialogue box itself?

For brief period of time, not in FF4, there was the option whereby when I closed multiple tabs, a firefox dialogue box opened warning me that I'm about to close multiple tabs, '''AND ALSO''' asking me if wanted to save those tabs for my next session, or trash them.
The primary issue IS NOT about saving tabs. The primary question here is about getting THE OPTION back to the CLOSING MULTIPLE TABS WARNING DIALOGUE.
The use case here should be obvious. However, since it is clearly not obvious that different people work in a variety of ways, and neither of those methods of working is "wrong" or "right" I will elaborate: Some people, for whatever reason, it doesn't matter why, want to save all their tabs on some occasions, and on other occasions don't.
This preference varies throughout the day. Therefore it is inefficient to constantly go to preferences and change whether or not I want firefox to open all my tabs from my last session. It is more LOGICAL to place an option in the multiple tab warning dialogue as well, for people whose preference constantly changes.
This option was available for a time in most of the Firefox 3 versions. Is there any way to get back this option in Firefox 4?

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no need for asking if you want to save the current session.
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.
You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle the value with a double left-click.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Application Items - is there a way to find all pages containing an item?

I'm taking over support on an APEX application which uses application items. There's no documentation on design so I'm having to go through the app manually to understand it. Is there a way to see which pages a given app item has been used on? I don't want to trawl through each page manually...

You can also access the apex_application views from sqlplus or your favorite GUI.
Connect with the schema owner of a schema that belongs to the apex workspace your application is in.
Then you can build your own select statements
For example
select *
from   apex_application_page_items p_item
,      apex_application_items      app_item
where p_item.application_id = app_item.application_id
and    p_item.item_source = app_item.item_nameWould give you all the page items that use a application item as source.
Pretty much everything is accessible through these views such as source of the processes or conditions for display.

ITunes 7.1 edit multiple item info

Hi,
Never had this problem before but upon upgrading to iTunes 7.1 last night I started experiencing it immediately. Was wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug? I'm in the process of ripping a lot of vinyl I have to mp3. I use Lamebrain to encode my aiff files to mp3. Upon dragging a few mp3s into iTunes to add them, they show up fine in my Library, but when I highlight, say, these two new files in my Library to edit them this is when the problem starts.
When the multiple item info window pops up, I enter in whatever info I want the two items to have, hit enter, but the information I've just entered only is being applied to the first of the two highlighted items. Furthermore, the second item which didn't have the information applied to it has now been rendered mysteriously uneditable, meaning that when I press -I to get info on the track, all of the normal fields that one can enter in all the metadata are inaccessible (I can't click in any of them to enter info), as if iTunes were viewing the track as an internet radio stream or something. Only if I quit iTunes and relaunch it does it let me enter in metadata for that track. This never used to happen to me in iTunes 7.02! Any suggestions?

i was having the same problem and i fixed it by locating the songs on my computer and right clicking on it and selecting properties. then you have to make sure it is not a "read-only" file. by unclicking the read-only option , i was able to edit those songs on iTunes with the GetInfo option. hope this helps!

Can't edit multiple items in aperture 3.5.1

i cant tag, rate or do any such thing with multiple photos. Irrecspective of using Cmd+A or Cmd+clicks , it changes the info for just one pic.

Check, if the "Primary Only" flag is active. If yes, disable it.
With this flag active, only the primary image will be effected by edits.

I have a DVD that I made and want to put it in iMovie for editing purposes. Is there a way to do that?

I have a MacBook Pro and wish to edit and improve upon a DVD that I created by copying a cassette tape to it. There appears to be no instructions on how to copy the DVD into iMovie so that I can begin my project.
Does anyone know how to do this?

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

I entered text on to my background layer and now I can not edit it. Is there any way to edit this?

Please help! I am trying to make a Christian calendar and entered text on to my background layer and can not edit this. I have tried to duplicate the background layer so it is not locked but I still can not edit this text. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The text should be on its own layer. If so, you can delete the layer and start over.
If you have flattened the image layers, open the undo history palette, and go back to the state prior to flattening.
If you saved the original file as .PSD, then the layer structure should remain intact for further refinement in a subsequent session.

In an item with multiple instances: Is there a way to get the item number of the current item? If for instance, I am on the 3rd item, is there some kind of “GET CURRENT RECORD NUMBER” built-in that would return a ‘3' to the program?

If i am getting you correctly that in tabular item you want to know the current record or current item you can try this...

Is there any way to convert video files and keep my project in Final Cut Pro 7?

I am currently editing a project, and have been having multiple issues with freezing while editing. Upon doing some quick research, I learned it is bcause my clips are in the h.264 format, which is not a good editing codec. Is there any way to change the codec of the videos and keep the project I have?

You might need to relink the timeline to the new media. Just take the H.264 files offline, and reconnect to the new media. If you media managed the sequence, it'd relink. But then you are only converting the files used in the sequence, not all your media.

This topic has been covered numerous times in this forum and in the MM forum. You evidently have not used the search feature. There are thousands of posts in these forums, and the search function will be very helpful for you in future questions.
To answer your question, No, nothing is available to make standard SAP MRP create Purchase requisitions for multiple items.
Most companies address this issue during the conversion of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase orders. During this process, you can add many items to a single purchase order.

johnh316, There is no so called Backup step. However, you can undo the changes using Ctrl+Z.
Else, suggestions given by JJMack are worth following.
Since you are using Camera Raw, you can anytime revert back to the default state by going choosing "Camera Raw Defaults" from the Options Menu.

Is there a way to compress media and project files into something small

I have a 2TB hard disk where all my FCP files - project files, media files and rendered files are stored.
I am not sure I will reopen those projects but still to be onthe safer side I do not want to delete them
but keep the compresed so that in case I need to open them some later time, I can open the project and do the edits.
So is there a way to compress the files and store that I can reuse in a later stage but still take less space now.

You can delete all the render files, since they can recreated when needed.
And you can also delete the optimized or proxy media, if you have any, for the same reason.
I doubt that you'd get much space back by using compression, since video files are already pretty much compressed.

Is there a way I can add different level of permissions in a library.

I want my team only view but not edit the content, is there a way to do this?

As far as I know, this isn't possible currently. Hopefully they will be rolling out collaboration permissions in the near future.

Is there a way to selectively edit Autofill items?

On some of my frequently visited websites I've built up quite a long list of Autofill items (e.g., from eBay searches). I'd like to clean this up somewhat, so I can get rid of typos that I made when visiting these websites. I've found the Safari preferences page for Autofill, but it looks like I only have the option for completely clearing Autofill entries associated with that website.
Is there a way of viewing/editing the list of Autofill entries for a website and selectively deleting them? Or am I stuck with the all-or-nothing method?

Open up Safari's preferences and click on the AutoFill icon. Now lick on the Edit button beside "Other Forms". You can scroll through the list of sites and delete sites from the list. This will delete all entries for that site so you can start out fresh. There is no way to selectively edit entries for a site.
