Edit(pencil) button gone?

Hi all,
I am just new to apex, I am using the default in 10gXE apex2.0.
I am creating a report region using the report wizard, for each table/region page. I can see the edit(pencil) at the beginning of the row , but sometimes it is at the end of each row?
Why can not it be uniform to be at the beginning or at the end? where can I control this edit(pencil) button?
Then i added another column for select display, when the column was added and it displayed on the report, the edit(pencil) button now disappered :( . It seems the region area did not
adjust to the added column hence it overlapped the edit(pencil) button? How can I resolve this.

Style EDIT LINKS pencil button in top Navigation

On the top navigation of my site I've styled the menu with CSS and a custom master page. However the 'EDIT LINKS' pencil button is an image coming from spcommon.png as an HTML <img> and it is an incorrect color.
How to do I change this image or replace the spcommon.png with my own version?

The icons in SharePoint sites are generated via sprites, you could type the url in the picture in your original post :

It will display a picture as below, and different themes have different pictures like this.
You could use SharePoint Color Palette Tool to generate theme as you like. Then import the file into the Themes Library :

Changing user icon in OS X 10.8; "edit picture" button missing!?

Trying to change my user "avatar/icon/picture" displayed at the login screen. Usually this is a straight forward process from SysPref --> Users & Groups --> click on the picture -> edit picture -> choose.
However I've either gone blind or the "edit picture" option is just missing from OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion which seems odd. Anyone else have this issue or am I just crazy?

Drag and drop is intuitive from nothing. This is a change of an expected behavior to something very different from before. No first-time pop-up message for returning users, no backup "edit picture" button, nothing. That is poor design. Sure, now that I know about, it works great, but it should be made clear before the user gets to this point.
I agree fully about the new way to do this being really unintuitive. I bought an MBA 13 two weeks ago, which came with Lion installed. Setting it up was relatively straightforward, even though the old Macs in our house were running Leopard, so I had some learning to go through.
The MBA died after 10 days, before I had a chance to install Mountain Lion. I replaced it with a MBP 13 today. The Apple support information, OS X Mountain Lion: Add a user picture, still describes the procedure for Lion, makes no mention of this, and is useless. I just wasted an hour trying to figure this out, before stumbling on the answer in this thread (thank you, Fernando.S, for the answer).
At the moment, I am disgusted with Mountain Lion, which has thrown up one obstacle after another.
Just so you know, this is not the new way of doing it. It's always worked this way. And the method used, dragging and dropping, has been an essential part of the Mac OS since 1984.
It's probably not intuitive to some ex-windows users, because in 1984, they were still using menu commands in DOS. IMHO

Cannot edit any pages - No Edit Page Button

I have a blog through blogger, with my own domain, standupsteals.com. I have added a connection to it in CS5, but I have been unable to edit retrieved posts. The "Edit Pages" button doesn't even appear. I haven't tried to uninstall/reinstall yet. I did delete the connection, and recreate it, but still same problem. I cannot administer websites; it's grayed out, along with a lot of other options. I am the only user, so I shouldn't be locked out...Any ideas?
I have tried to follow the simple directions...Go to my homepage; choose an entry. Once I choose an entry, Edit Pages button should appear, right? It's not happening for me...I get a quick message that says I am on a site I am not connected to. How can that be?

Thank you for replying!
I had already tried to export the roles and replaced the Z: with Z_ before creating this message, but the upload attempts failed due to the explanation above. But this time, I followed your (good) advice to delete the original Z: roles first, before uploading the corrected file.
Sadly, even after I deleted the original Z: roles prior to uploading the corrected file, I am still having no luck ... when I uploaded the file, again it (falsely) reports that the import was successful:
Import Status: 133 successfully imported out of 133 records found
After seeing that message, I quickly checked the roles, and none of the roles had uploaded. So now I have ZERO roles.
Any further ideas? I am thinking it may be something very small that is being overlooked ... perhaps certain buttons must be selected/not selected on the import screen? Or could it be an issue with the file itself?
When I do the import, I only select the button for "From File ..." and retrieve the file from my desktop via the Browse button. I do not select any other button, nor do I make a selection from the System or Role Source boxes. I have just selected that one button only ... I've tried it with and without checking the "Overwrite Existing Roles" box, but neither one works.
The part that bugs me the most is that I receive what I perceive to be an inaccurate/bogus "successful" status each time I attempt the upload of the file. At least if I had an error message, I might have something to work with to troubleshoot this.

I am not sure what Photoshop 3 edition is. The thing changing is that the online sharing and storage found at Photoshop.com will be migrating to Revel and then closing. The jpg files will be automatically copied into Revel. If you want to archive your photoshop.com files, see the link below. Edit-flash button grayed out

No, PSE 6 and later never displays an icon for a sub-category. If you accidentally created a sub-category where a leaf keyword tag will do, change the sub-category to a keyword tag by right-clicking it, and then you'll be able to assign an icon. But if you change the keyword tag back to a sub-category, the icon will disappear.
None of that design seems very well thought out.

Edit portfolio button somehow disabled

Hi experts~
As shown in above screenshot, my edit portfolio button is somehow disabled. I can't remove emails from my portfolio.
I remembered to use this button before......
The portfolio is create from OUTLOOK 2010 using Acrobat Suite Profession 10.0.
I installed it from SCCM server using enterprise license. Would it be some sort of policy pushed from server?
How do I check if there's something wrong?

You can't edit the Portfolios created by the PDFMaker email client plugins. The use a special layout which isn't available inside Acrobat itself.

CS3 Web Standard SE. Can't edit Flash buttons

I have an issue where I am unable to edit Flash buttons or
Flash text that have been created in DW CS3.
I am using CS4 Web Standard SE. A colleague of mine is using
the same software and also unable to edit these.
Until now I thought it was maybe a trial issue but have today
activated the software. But the issue remains.

It's not a Trial issue. It's a conscious design decision by
Adobe announced
in Aug 07.

Flash buttons and Flash text have always been ill conceived
features for
webpages.
Adobe recognised this by dropping them from DW CS4.
If you still want to keep them and edit them, use DW CS3.
However, consider using CSS styled buttons instead.

have factory reset my phone and taken the battery out.

Lost "Edit Options" button used when downloading an update (ex Adobe reader) that allows you to click allow in order to receive the update. Can someone tell me how to get it back? Please?

I t will tell you to look for a yellow bar at the top usually under the tool bar and it will ask you to "Edit Options" when you do, it will ask you if you allow the download/update or not.
My problem is, I am not getting this yellow bar anymore that gives me the "Edit Options" button so therefore, I do not think I am getting any updates!

You didn't lose that button. It is Adobe that is lost and haven't update their instructions for a long time :wink:

HT1051 no 'edit shipping' button in iPhoto '11

I'm using iPhoto '11. I'm normally UK based but currently in the US and I want to ship photos to a US address and pay with a US card. In the shipping information 'United Kingdom' is fixed and can't be changed. There is no 'edit shipping' button as stated in the help.

Visual webpart disappears when i click edit page button

I have created a visual webpart for a menu with listpicker, am able to deploy the webpart in a page, select lists using list picker and save the page. But when again when i click edit page button, the webpart disappears. and again if i add the same webpart
in the same page, the name of webpart comes like "Visualwebpart[1]".

Even in wiki Page, you can make sure that it doesn't disappear.

parts without any issue"
