How can I edit photos on iPad 1? I want to rotate photos, crop them, etc.  Is there a specific mode that I have to be in to edit? I believe it used to work before I "upgraded" to ios5. Would like any help here. Thanks

Editing photos in the Photos app is not supported on the first gen iPad - and didn't exist prior to iOS 5.

  • I want to edit photos on ipad, put in a folder and expert that edited folder to a pcdfolder

I want to edit my photos on ipad, put in a folder and export that edited folder to PC. I find that the experted photos are reverting to the original unedited - VERY annoying! Any suggestions?

You can call external pages into an iframe on your site.  But you cannot crop that content to exclude the parts you don't want.  I believe the best way for you to proceed would be to edit the current pages, excising only the parts involved with the search functionality, and paste that into your new pages.  This may be more of a job than you bargained for....

  • Export edited photos from iPad

I have edited photos on my iPad with the Photo app included with iOS. How can I export those edited photos to iPhoto (or Aperture)? I only seem able to export the originals.

On windows you need to use adobe lightroom or adobe photoshop elements. Look at this URL http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4253

  • Copy edited photos from iPad to PC

I spent two hours cropping and editing over 100 photos.  To burn them to a DVD I copied them to my PC notebook.  When I looked at the photos none of my crops or edits were there.  I looked at my iPad and the edits are there.  Does not the IPad/IOS save edits to my pictures?  If so where are these versions saved so I can copy them?  How can I copy them when the only version I see in Windows Explorer is the original file?

  • Editing photos in iPAD 1

Hi and merry holidays ! I am new to my iPAD 1 - yes the basic one without a camera. I am also using Windows. So I have sorted my iTUNES application on Windows and hooked up iPAD 1 and synced various movies and songs etc. So all going smoothly. But am having difficulty figuring out the photos !
On my Windows PC screen for iTunes I have Libaries listed for both the PC and Device and can easily sync.
But there is no library for Photos.
How do I move pictures back and forth.
My son told me that iPhoto was the APP but that only works with iPAD 2 and above !

Click on your iPAd's Name to bring up the  iPad Summary page. If you are using iTunes 11 it may just be a button on the top right corner.  If you are using an earlier version of iTunes, it is located on the left sidebar, about half way down.
In the Summarry Page look for the Photos Tab, it is the right most button at the top of the page.
From there you can choose the folders you wish to sync onto the iPad.  Once synced, to remeve a photo, or album, you must uncheck the folder and sync again to have iTunes remove the album.

  • How do I edit photos  stored on external wifi drive with iPad?

I have stored many photos on a Seagate Wifi external drive and would like to edit them using my iPad.  Only photos stored on Camera Roll come up for editing.  Can anyone help solve this problem please.

I don't have either the device or the associated app, but from a quick glance at the Seagate site it looks like you would have to follow a three- or four-step process:
    * Use the Seagate Media App to copy photo(s) from the external drive to your Camera Roll.
    * Use the editing program of your choice to edit it/them.
    * Use the Seagate Media App to copy the edited photo(s) back to the external drive
    * Optionally, remove the editied photo(s) from the Camera Roll.

  • Why can I no longer import EDITED photo from my iPad to my Mac using Image Capture from Snapseed app?

Why can I no longer import EDITED photo from my iPad to my Mac using Image Capture? This is farcical and a real problem having to email them individually to myself and is totally inefficient time wise compared to previously using image capture! Why change this when it was working well and very quickly until the latest change. Now I have to move files from downloads into an appropriate folder, after emailing each individual edited image to myself, then I have to open in Photoshop and rename the file. This is ludicrous and takes forever to do!

Thank you! I suppected it would be in the settings somewhere. I' ve much to learn...get myself into trouble pushing buttons I don't really understand.

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

  • In IPhoto or IPad, when I edit a photo in an existing album, the photo is removed and placed in a new album with only edited photos. How do I keep it in or get it back to its original album?

When using IPhoto for IPad, can I move photos from one album to another? For instance, when I edit a photo in an existing album, the photo is removed and placed in a new album with other edited photos. How do I keep it in or move it back to its original album?

That will depend on the kind of album your photo is in.
Most albums in iPhoto are created automatic by the way you are using and editing your photos, see: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/ipad/1.1/#blnkb9b1e2a
When you edit your photo, the edited copy is added to the automatic "edited" album and the view switches to he edited album. But the photo should stay in its original album - do you see something different? Only if you want the edited photo in the camera roll and the photo strea as well, you have to save the edited copy to the camera roll again after editing, otherwise the camera roll will show the original and not the edted version.

  • I lost my belongings via theft. As a photographer my greatest loss is having a computer to download and edit photos. Money is scarce and I am considering an ipad. Can anyone advise me whether an ipad can replace a pc?  Are there ports?

I lost my belongings via theft from a storage unit. As it was scheduled for move the next day I did not purchase insurance. Probably an inside job, painful leason learned. This also left me no way to repurchase all i lost.
As a photographer my greatest loss is having a computer to download and edit photos. Money is scarce and I am considering an ipad, understanding even this may not be affordable. Can anyone advise me whether an ipad can replace a pc?  Are there ports?  How crucial is memory?  I could edit photos then store them on flash drives if the ipad cannot handle load. Never having owned one I'm afraid I am completely ignorant on these issues and am grateful for any guidance. Thank you!

No.  The iPad while a powerful tablet, is not a PC replacement. It is limited in what it can do.
    Trishfromaz wrote:

No USB ports or of any other kind if that is what you are asking.  There's the sync/charge port you can use with the Lightning to USB camera Adapter, but only to load photos onto the iPad. It cannot write out to USB drives.

iPads are not upgradeable. So what you buy is what you get. Memory is 1GB.  Storage space can go from 16GB up to 128GB
Depending on what Image editor applications you use, there may not be a version for iPad with the features you need.

  • How can I import photos edited with Photos on iPad to iPhoto on Mac, including all edits??

During a long vakantion trip, I took many pictures and imported them in Photos on my iPad. And during the trip I edited many photos: croppig, changing colors and brightness, etc.
Now back home, I would like to import all these photos into iPhoto on my Mac, including all the edits of course.
I imported a few hundred and saw at once that the edits were not imported completely and not correctly (probably most is not imported).
Can anyone please advise how this should be done.
    Thank you very much,
    Frans

Making a trip, I import, select and edit pictures, as I have the time to do so. So, when I come back home, I expect importing to the Mac and reviewing only.
You are caught in the transit.  If you still had iOS 7, that would have been no problem. Your edits in iPhoto on the iPad would have transferred to the  Mac, and you would even have been able to undo the Camera filters. Unfortunately, iOS 8 is ahead of the photo applications on the Mac.  The sidecar files with the edits transfer to the mac, but no software that I know of can read them. It will be better in a few month.
Do you know of any other application which can be used on both, iOS and OS X, to edit photos??
Right now, the only app I know is Pixelmator.
Pixelmator on the iPad can save and open files on iCloud Drive. But you would need to upgrade your Mac to Yosemite to use the new Pixelmator for Mac and to be able to access iCloud Drive from the Mac.

  • Very disappointing why do I need a camera on my iPad to manage edit photos in new iPhoto app?

Very disappointing why do I need a camera on my iPad to manage edit photos in new iPhoto app?

That's just a visual differentiator so folks can easily tell if it will run on their machine. The difference is the RAM and processor in the iPad 2 and iPad (New). The camera has nothing to do with the physical requirements.

  • Can I save photos from iPad that I edited to my main computer?

If I edit pictures on iPad can I then get them back in the edited for to my main computer. Their seems to be lots of photo apps but don't want the final pics just for my ipad would also want them in my main computer.

you need to verify that the app saves a copy back to the photos library. If it does (as a drawing app for my 4 y/o sone does), you can then open that pic back up after importing from ipad to your chosen photo program.

  • Cannot edit photos in standard IPad photo app

I have a 1st generation IPad.  I recently lost the capability to edit photos through the iPad photo standard supplied app.  I was able to edit photos back in May but it no longer works since I installed the iOS 5.1.1.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks Tom.  I took a look at iPhoto but unfortunately it says it is for Ipad2 and up.  So that app will not help.  I took a look at snapseed and that looks like it will also work.  I will also check in at an Apple Stor also.  Does any one else have any other suggestions?
