Edit screen background turned purple!

I was looking about my newly installed Homesite and somehow
managed to turn the background of the edit screen dark purple.
Can't find a way to change it back to something easier to read.
Everything I open has this background.
Also, I wanted to make my internal and external default
browser IE but having followed instructions from the help file the
browse screen comes up blank. When I changed to the supplied
internal browser that seemed to work.
Help appreciated.
Daphne

You can open your settings (either F8 or Options >
Settings).
Click Editor then you will see "Background Color" downdrop on
the far right. Change it back to white or whatever other color you
want.

  • Screen has turned purple pink and I can't see anything!

My Apple TV has suddenly turned the screen pink/purple and I can't see any of the navigation options. I read somewhere that I need to switch it from HDMI auto to RGB High but after I do that the screen turns black. I try all the other settings and nothing works. This is VERY frustrating. I spent $100 on a device from Apple that is supposed to "just work" and now it's suddenly not working. I have my Apple TV connected via HDMI through a Yamaha receiver and have never had issues with it in the past. I've unplugged the power and the HDMI cable, I've also restarted my Apple TV and nothing works. Please help!

Try it connected directly or with a different cable.

  • My iPad 2 screen has turned a weird colour. The background is black and the letters are white instead of the other way round and colour photos look like negatives. How do I change it back.

My IPad screen has turned a weird colour, the background is white and the letters white instead of the other way round.  Colour photos look like negatives. How can I turn it back to a white background.

    Dear Steve,
You are wonderful! You are the best! I'm Stephania and I recently purchased a refurbished ipad2. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and updating & fixing it so my liking. The only thing that I couldn't correct were the photos that looked like negatives. Every photo, even on the internet, on apps, everywhere! I just couldn't figure out how to fix it. I contacted Apple Care and its too difficult to get in touch with them. I had looked through support before but didn't put in the right question. Well, today I got lucky. I did the two things you suggested and turning the "White On Black" off did the trick. I'm so happy! I had a feeling it was something simple and this is not even in the manual!

  • When I apply the Key for a green screen, everything blue turns purple. How can I correct?

When I apply the Key to an evenly lit greenscreen, anything blue turns purple. How can I correct this?

There's way too much blue in that green screen
    This is green
Try pulling down the spill level and reducing the spill tint. You're probably going to have to tweak the color selection manually.

  • Samsung Stratosphere screen turned purple

My girlfriend's Stratosphere's  screen turned purple today.  She doesn't have the insurance through verizon either.  She got the phone about 3 months ago.  What are options to fix it or get it fixed?

I just had the exact problem this morning. I just woke up, picked up my phone and the screen was tinted pinkish purple. I figured I should investigate before calling Verizon, but this is the only other case that I can find. Did you do anything to fix yours?

  • Using Photoshop elements 11 on a PC, when I put new photo on screen to edit the background goes to black which messes me up when making a thumbnail that has black background.  How do I get the background to white as it was originally?

Using Adobe photoshop elements 11 on a PC.  When I put a photo up to edit the background on the page goes black.  I need it to go back to white to do a thumbnail that has black background so I can see it.  How do I do that.  It used to be white on the background.  Don't know how I got it all black. Can you help?

If you mean by "background" the blank work area that presents when you open the Editor, then right click on it and reset to white.
If I have this wrong, please rephrase your inquiry.

  • Background turning blue?

Well, recently after i had my macbook pro back from repairs the screen keeps flickering blue a few times and sometimes the whole screen goes blue and wont go back to normal unless i turn the whole machine off. When i turned on my laptop now, and opened up safari - my background on my laptop randomly changed to green and then blue. I had one of the default apple pictures as my background - WHICH I HAVE NEVER CHANGED!! i changed it back to this picture but then the background turned blue once again :s.
Can someone tell me what i can do to stop this or if there is a problem with my laptop? because I am confuzzled on why its doing this ^^ :s

    Hi rllenovo,
please don't forget that this is a peer to peer forum, provided by Lenovo in order that members may seek assistance from others and share their experiences. There is a Lenovo presence here but unfortunately they are not able to address every issue and therefore there is no guarantee you will receive a direct response.
It is possible that no other members are experiencing, or have experienced the same as you, or if they have, haven't been online since you posted. Sometimes in forums you need to bring a little patience with you. Alternatively you have the option of contacting Lenovo support.
It maybe that because you chose a user name with Lenovo in it that other members think you work for, or are associated with Lenovo and maybe felt that other channels of assistance would be available to you and hence offered no comment???

  • Second monitor "hide" the programs behind the screen background.

    Hi!
Updated my system a couple of days ago. When I rebooted, my second screen comes up as normal, except I can't get anything to show on that screen.
The primary screen works as normal. The second screen shows the background and conky, but when I try to open anything on the screen, it opens, kind of behind the background. I can use the program, and drag it to the first screen. Then I see it. It's almost like the screen background covers it.

  • How to change screen background color in iTunes

I just uploaded the latest version of i-tunes, and now my screen that lists my playlists is black and I can only see the names of playlists when I cursor over them. Also, the library song list screen is now purple, used to be blue. Any way I can change?

Try this solution which has been advised in many posts on this problem. Go to the Windows XP Start menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes (in Category view) > Display > Settings tab and make sure Colour Display is set at Highest (32 bit): iTunes - Pink iTunes window under iTunes XP/Vista

  • Change screen background color without any defer

I would like to change the screen background color using the Framed color box.  I can do this using property node. The problem is I cannot update the screen simultaneously as that in VI edit mode. I hope the screen background color can update as the mouse moving on the framed color box.   Does anyone know a solution? Thanks.

Here is an OK cheat.  Dont use a background, make the color box larger than the screen and move to the back most element.  Looks the same but isnt perfect.

  • Missing RAW editing screen in PSE8 Trial version

Can anyone help me with this one?
I have previously used PSE6. When opening a RAW image I have first gone through a RAW Editor screen before editting in PSE6. When
I open a RAW image in the TRIAL version of PSE8 it takes me straight to the PSE Editor, missing out the RAW editing stage. My camera is an Olympus E510, about 2 years old.
The HELP files clearly show the RAW editing operation so I know the functionality is in PSE8. It seems to assume that the RAW editing screen opens automatically and I can't see what else to do. In desperation I turned on the FILE FORMATS Plug In to see if that would help - it didn't. I need to know there is a RAW Editor that I can use before purchasing the software.
Adobe have told me that they don't support the Trail version and so won't answer my question...   Not exactly a recommendation of good customer service if their pre sale support is zero!  Their official answer to the above question was that they did not support PSE6 anymore and that I should upgrade to PSE8 Their last suggestion was to ask this group.
If anyone has PSE8 and is prepared to try a .ORF file for me I'd be very grateful.  Thanks, Keith

  • Editing screen goes black after applying Curves in CS6

I recently updated CS6 and now whenever I try to apply a curves layer, the editing screen turns black.  If I have other photos open I cannot see them either, please help!!

A first suggestion is to go to your video card's manufacturer's site and see if you have updated drivers for your particular model video card.
Otherwise, you might have go into Photoshop > Preferences > and set the GPU mode to Basic, or uncheck the GPU function and see if that clears it up.

  • [Gnome 3] Prevent screen to turn off [Solved]

    Hi guys,
I finally updated from Gnome 2 to 3 and wonder how I can prevent my screen to turn off after a while. From Gnome 2 I was used to be able to set 'never' besides settings like '1 minute', '10 minutes'...
Is there any way to apply that to Gnome 3?
    Regards

Have you tried setting it in your xorg.conf "ServerLayout" section?
    Option "BlankTime" "0"
Well, some systems [like mine] of some people [like me] don't have "xorg.conf cause don't need that file at all.
    You should try another recipe:
From your terminal you can execute two simple commands:
xset s off # Disable X windows screen saver
xset -dpms # Disable display power management system
    (From here: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthrea … 528&page=2)
Really works. Just add this to your ~/.bash_profile.
