Edit Shipping Point in ME2O
Hello All,
When we use ME2O to create deliveries to subcontractors, only the default shipping point can be used.
We have Plants which have multiple ship points for the materials . I would like to know if there is any way to edit the shipping point field and let the user enter it manually ? OR be able to choose a ship point from the drop down?
Please advise..
Any one has the same experience ? Please advise.
thanks

Shipping point determination - ME2O
I'm using ME2O for creating a delivery. I select a line and i press the Create delivery button. A popup appears but the filed Shipping point is empty. What configuration should i make to have a value in that field?
The shipp. points are assigned to the plants and the determination using the shipping conditions- loading grp-plant are already configured.
Thanks.hi,
this is to inform you that,
ME2O - DELIVERY WITH REFERENCE TO SUBCONTRACTING.
Please check in IMG:
1. MM - Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Setup Stock Transfer Order -> Define shipping data for plants
2. Select the plant and double click in Enter the following field the sales area for the same.
5.MM>Purchasing>set up Subcontractor order>assigning plants to the delivery document LB.
6.Have you created a Customer master record in the same sales area as Material and then assigned it to the Vendor Control data in CMR.
hope this clears this issue.

Multiple Shipping Point in One Plant
Hello.
How to decide if we create another shipping point or not.
We have two warehouses, located far from each other.
The design is to have just one plant, and create two storage locations.
Should I make two shipping points for each warehouse and assign to just one plant?
Share you ideas...
Thank you,Dear Deriada Gemma
Shipping point requirement is based on physical locations from which shipment is done, in case you are using Logistic execution then based on shipping point shippings will be done.
If you have two wh and want to create seperate deliveries for both wh use two seperate shipping points
you can automatically determine based on plant, loading group and shipping condtion.
from help you will find few other reason for which seperate shipping point decision can be made
list list, printing ...etc
Define, copy, delete, check shipping point
In this step, you define the shipping points in your company or edit
shipping points that already exist. In order to adapt the functional
scope of a shipping point to the organization in your company, you
should process the following check list:
o The shipping point is the top level in the organization for
shipping.
o A shipping point can be allocated to several plants.
o A shipping point can be divided into several loading points.
o A delivery is always initiated from exactly one shipping point.
Thus, all items of a delivery belong to one shipping point. Groups
of deliveries also belong to exactly one shipping point.
o You can influence delivery scheduling via allocation to departure
zones.
o The shipping point can be proposed automatically during order
processing depending on the plant, loading group and shipping
condition.
o A shipping point has an address.
o The shipping point is used as a selection criterion for lists of
deliveries and the work list deliveries.
o The shipping point is used as a selection criterion for processing
deliveries like printing, picking or goods issue.
o You can determine the printer destination for messages differently
for every shipping point on account of shipping documents.

Shipping point at storage location level in ME2O
hi Guys,
I am using stock transport orders at storage location level, and it works fine, we have a customizing point to configure shipping point at storage location level.
My doubt is if we can use also shipping point det. at storage location level for creating Deliveries for Subcontracting process in ME2O.
It works only If I customize the shipping point det. at plant level, not considering the customizing at storage location level.
kind regards
BrianDear Ram,
Can you please specify the configuration that you have made? And which storage location determination rule are you using for your Delivery Type?

Receiving Day / Shipping Point
Hi Experts!
When delivering e.g. to Spain from a German shipping point there is a calendar assigned on customer site that has no holiday at all combined with a fixed receiving day "Friday". The German calendar is assigned to the shipping point.
Because of the route (transit days = 2 days) plus 1 day pick/pack we have always on Tuesdays the material availabiltity day when the delivery starts automatically.
I realize that in week 21 (holiday on Thursday) the system calculates the Monday as material availability date and I wonder why. Obviously the holiday was considered even the material has already left Germany. In consequence the delivery is too early.
My understanding is that the settings of the shipping point should calculate only the material availability date and the goods issue date but not more. The Spanish customer is not interested in any holiday in Germany.
I can't change the setting for the shipping point because our German deliveries have to be kept in this way.
Any idea?
Kind regards,
Hartmut KroegerHi, thanks for your answer, but this is not what I meant.
The customer has the goods receiving day intentionally, this is to concentrate all deliveries to him on Tuesday (all material availability dates are Tuesdays).
Therefore on Customer site everything is OK.
What I don't understand is that the material availability day was calculated here on Monday.
Even picking and packing on Tuesday would be OK, then it's sent out anyway. And the following holiday on Thursday should not have any impact on the pack-work in Germany (the '"send work" has alredy finnished then in Germany).
Therefore my understanding was that any calendar on customer site calculates the goods receiving day (here the Spanish customer) and the calender for the shipping point calculates the Material availability date resp. the Goods Issue date but not the complete transit time.
In other words: My setting in the Spanish customer has no meaning, anyway all dates are calculated based on the calendar in the shipping point, no matter what calendar is on customer site.
My problem does not depend especially on a calendar setting on customer site.
Even without a fix goods receiving day, e.g. for a requested date on Fridays we have the same problem.
In that week where a holiday is, the system calculates one day earlier even the original dates (without holiday) could be used without any danger. In fact we are delivering too early to that customer.

Hartmut Kroeger

Hi all...
In the meantime I got the solution!
As already explained, on customer site everything is OK, same with the shipping point. Problems I had just with the transportation times, I wanted to ignore any holidays there. This is possible by assigning in the routes directly a calendar, of course without any holidays.
So now all levels are OK for me (customer, routes, shipping point).

Shipping point error in sales order creation
Dear Friends,
I'm new into customizing in SD. I just crested a new plant, distribution channel, shipping point and have assigned the shipping point to the plant. while trying to create sales order i get this warning message "DOCUMENT /00010 HAS NO CHECKING GROUP (MATERIAL MASTER - PLANT DATA) MESSAGE N0 : W083.
Also, if i edit for incomplete log it is indicating the following as being missing- SHIPPING/RECEIVING POINT, NO LOADING DATE, NO MATERIAL AVAILABLE DATE, TRANSPORT PLANNING DATE, NO GOODS ISSUE DATE.
What else do i need to maintain in the customizing to make it work well
Thanks in advanceDear,
It is showing because u have not maintained PLANT in MATERIAL MASTER DATA but no need to do so u can directly put into S.O. Iin each line item.
It is just a warning nmessage just press enter and pass it.
If still u want to do so then use TCODE ( MMO2) and select SALES ORG1 and under GENERAL DATA u will find PLANT FIELD
where u can maintain PLANT for matarial but once u maintain data here MATERIAL is restricted to that PLANT so will not allow u to sell it from other PLANT thats why itb is always advisable to keep it blank if you are suppose to sell same MATERIAL from two or more PLANT.

Shipping point and plant assignment
Hi,
When i am maintaining enterprize structure in sd in assignment of organizational unit if i want to assign shipping point to the plant ,its not detecting plant untill i set up sales line(plant+sales organization/distribution channel) .what is the relation between sales line set up with shipping point to plant assingment? please clarify...
Regards
SupriyaShipping point can ONLY be assigned to a delivering plant.
2. Plants can be "made" in to delivering plant by assigning Sales Org. , D channel to Plant.
Therefore after 2 you have the possibility to assign shipping point to the plant (which has been made a delivering plant)
PS - org unit plant is used in MM, PP and SD etc. but delivering plant is an important org unit for SD.
From a business process perspective - PP: Plant is a manufacturing unit, MM: Plant is a storage of material unit. But to deliver goods to customers, a delivering plant has to be created. Shipping point is the starting point (& the org unit that controls) of outbound deliveries. Thus shipping point is assigned to Delivering plant.
This is also logical from a business process perspective!

Help in Shipping point.
I have a scenario... we are selling water and soda. It is shown like the materials is received here at our plant and sold from here.. but in most cases it is taken directly from the manufacturer and supplied to customers
So, my client wanst to know which batch has gone from our stock and from manufacturer
If I maintain difefrent shipping point, is it fine? will it have any implications on MM?
when I enter sales order, i dont know from where is is going to be shipped. say half from system determined shipping point
I created a delivery with that. Now rest shud be from other shipping point. I have maintained it als oin OVL2
But without editing sales order, when I try creating with other Shipping point system is showing "Delivery not possible"
If I change the shipping point in sales order, it works. But person sitting in plant cant edit sales order
Any idea?
Regards,
AnbuHello Anbu,
A similar thread is active right nnow in the forum.
See, in Sales Order for each line item you can have only one Shipping point (you can change this shipping point based on Manual Shipping Point defined in OVL2). But the bottom line is that in one line item there can be only one Shipping point & this Shipping Point Cannot be change at Delivery Level.
I understand that your Plant person will not have authorization to change Sales Order, but there is no other option.
The solution can be:
Create a Sales Order with two line Item of same material. Maintain different Shipping Points for each of the line items.
Now the Plant person can create Delivery for each Shipping Point based on Actual Quantity dispatches.
The balance quanty in Sales Order can be closed by person having Sales Order change Authorization.
Example:
Say you have to deliver 100 Tons of Material A to Customer.
In Sales Order create two line Item with Quantities like this:
Line Item 1 Material A 70 Tons - Shipping Point 1
Line Item 2 Material A 70 Tons - Shipping Point 2
Now the PLant person can deliver like this:
Line Item 1 - 45 Tons
Line Item 2 - 55 Tons.
The balance quantity in Sales Order can be closed once quantity of 100 tons is Delivered to Customer by entering Reason for Rejection.
Hope this Helps,
Thanks,

Multiple shipping points.
Hi experts,
i got a problem in shipping point determination.
here shipping condition / loading group / plant are same but have 2 different shipping point..
not able to give both shipping point here .if i give one shipping point in this determination ..only the same will come in sales order.
i want an option in sales order from which i can choose one shipping point from multiple option can v do that?
waiting for the reply
-JayHi,
The shipping point i s determined with the combination of plant, loading group and Shipping condition. Since in your scenario all are same there can be only one shipping point assigned automatically (manual entries can be maintained)
Any how you can also try the option of asiggning shipping point with the combination od plant/loading group/storage condition and Storage location.
SPRO --> logistics execution --> shipping --> basic shipping funct --> shipping point and goods receiving point det --> set up storage location dependent shippping point determination
Steps
1. Assign the Shipping point determination rule as Storage location specific for the required delivery types.
2. Assign the shipping point to the combination of plant / loading group / storage condition / Storage location
Hope this helps you.
Thanks,

Every Shipping point has corresponding number range for the HU box number?
Hi,
Every Shipping point has corresponding number range for the HU box number assignment?
For example, we are doing packing, then a Handling Unit number has been generated. So where to define this number range of the HU number??
Is it from the SPRO or controled by programs.
Thanks.Hi,

Appendix F: How to Unpack the Handling Unit Material?
A handling unit is a physical unit that consists of the packaging materials (load carrier / packaging material) and the goods contained therein. A handling unit is always a combination of materials and packaging materials. All the information contained in the material items, such as batches and serial numbers, is always available by way of the handling units.
Handling units can be nested, meaning that you can also create new handling units from several handling units as often as you like.
Handling units have unique, scannable identification numbers that can be formed according to standards such as EAN 128 or SSCC.
Figure 1: Handling unit example
Structure
The handling unit object contains the following attributes:
Identification number
Dimensions
Weight
Volume
Status
Materials and quantities
Packaging materials
Packing instructions
A handling unit consists of a handling unit header and handling unit items. For identification purposes, it is given a unique number.
Handling unit header
The header data of a handling unit is divided in the following way:
Weight/Volume/Dimensions
General data
Means-of-transport data
Additional data
Output determination procedure
For more information about each of these detailed points, see Editing detailed data for handling units.
Status
The handling unit is linked to general status management. In this way, the various physical states (planned or implemented) and other attributes (weighed, loaded, blocked or posted goods issue) of handling units can be documented.
You can use the HU_ST_INIT user parameter when you create handling units without object reference to set which initial status the handling unit is to have when it is created.
If you want to implement a status of your own, you can define a user-specific procedure for the packaging material type (see also Define Packaging Material Types).
Handling unit item
The items of a handling unit can consist of material items, packaging materials or other handling units that appear in an overview. For more information about this overview, see the Contents section of Editing detailed data for handling units.
To access the item data of an individual handling unit, select the handling unit concerned and choose Goto  Detailed HU data  Contents.
Integration
Handling units can be used in all processes within the supply chain.
