Edit text of a report

Question

Hi experts,
is it possible to edit a report text?
I've made a program which searches certain text in reports and when selected it shows the ABAP code of this report.
But instead of showing it, I was wondering if it is possible to edit the code (if you have a development key of course).
I've found 2 functions but am not able to figure out how to use them:
EDIT_REPORT_TEXT and REPORT_TEXT_EDIT.

If you want to make it interactive -
1. You can use function module RS_TOOL_ACCESS passing these -
OPERATION                       EDIT
OBJECT_NAME                  ZKD0R_MATERIAL_COST   ( prog name)
OBJECT_TYPE                   REPS  ( in case of reports)                       
ENCLOSING_OBJECT                                             
POSITION                           555             ( line # )
2. if you want to replace all the text automatically, then you will have to read the report in to internal table, make the required modifications and then write it back to the report.
Use ABAP statements READ REPORT and WRITE REPORT.
In this case u r doing it without any authorization checks.
