Listbox items cannot be edited directly in the control: what you can do is to select a line an, transfer its content to a textbox control, edit text there and move text back to the listbox control. Available interactions with the listbox control are listed in the help.
An alternative to it is to use a tree customized to appear like a listbox: tree item labels can be edited directly in the control, at least those in the base column of the tree. You can look at the example \samples\userint\treelist.cws that shows how a tree can be customized this way. I haven't opened it, but this old example too should show the ability to edit tree cells.

Only the number, not the name, is shown in the list of missing calls

When number X calls me I get the contact's name like this:
If I don't answer the call and go to the list of Missed calls, I will only find the number (not linked to the contact). Not the name of the contact.
This happens to contact with many numbers added. Could this be the reason?

SharePoint 2010 site (SAML 2.0 authenticated) edit the list in Datasheet View is disabled

I am working on a SharePoint 2010 site which is SAML 2.0 authenticated. The site work fine in general. However when I try to Edit the list with
'DataSheet View' i.e. disabled. Evenif I am not able to create any Datasheet View also. However when I login with VPN Net Work fine.

When inputting letters into the keyboard, suggested words appear when the word is incomplete or misspelled.

No, the list isn't directly editable. However, if you reject the suggestion by tapping the "x" it will eventually learn the original word you typed and stop suggesting alternatives.

Country missing in the list to register caller id

Hi,
I wanted to register my telephon number in the caller identifier then this apears to the people I call but there is not the country Mexico registered in the list Skype proposes.
What can I do? It does not let people write it itself. it is 0052 .... and the country should be MEXICO I don´t know why it doesn´t apear?
Someone can help me? It is weard...

The skype site says mexico is one of the countries you can get an online number for. You can do it on the website, I was able to get all the way to the point of registering. Just go on the site and do it.

Entry in contact list does not show up when you try to edit the list in v4

When clicking the "To" box for a new message I have as the last entry a name in bold that is not something I recognize and when going into my contact list so as to remove it, it does NOT show up.
How do I get rid of it? IE: find it so as to delete it. Search in windows 7 does not locate the file. Below is header when asking for source.

If you created a new AppleID with the new email address, then that is exactly what will happen. Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID you used when buying them. Anything tied to an old(er) AppleID is forever tied to it and you need that older AppleID's password to update those apps.
Your only option is to buy those apps again, paying a second time, to get them under your new AppleID.
For future reference, if you just wish to change the primary email you are using for your AppleID, you should log in to the "Mange your AppleID" section at https://appleid.apple.com and just edit the primary email address for your existing AppleID.

Editing the list of shared destinations

When I first started creating hyperlinks in InDesign, I mistakenly marked some as shared destinations. I regularly use a few URLs as shared destinations, but now I have a lot of redundant ones clogging up the list.
How can I edit InDesign's list of (previously used) shared destinations? Does ID store an editable file in user/library or something similar? Or might it involve scripting (about which I know nothing)?

Can I edit the list of Genres?

I have a LOT of music on my Mac, and use iTunes to manage it.
Over several years, the Genre List has grown incredibly bloated, including many duplicates w/ spelling errors and variations.
Is there a way to edit this list?

3 years later, and this is still a problem. It's so clear that the primary use case for itunes is selling music, and not managing a music library (or at best passively accepting whatever genres the content providers wish to push).
For all its defects, Windows Media Player, circa 2005 was a great content management system for managing music - you could drag (or shift-select) and drop anything to shift genres, albums, artists. (WMP ***** now) All iTunes allows you to do is add to playlists, everything else is the tedious Get Info dialog.
And I just want a text list, I hate having to look at thumbnails for everything. I don't know or care what the album cover looks like, but clearly the marketing weasels at the record labels made it a requirement that you have to look at the stupid cover art even though that makes it incredibly difficult to scan a list or sort.

Where can I find and edit the list of tags?

For example, I created a tag for "ancient population," before thinking better of it and deciding to shorten it to "population." I tried shortening it, but I can't.

Sharepoint 2010: prevent users from editing a list in the datasheet view

Hi,
I have a sharepoint 2010 list that I need to prevent users to edit from the datasheet view. This is because I have edited the add item form on sharepoint designer and included some custom code. Moreover, I need to allow the users to view the list in datasheet
view to make use of the datasheet custom filter view feature which is not available in the standard view. So I need users to access the datasheet view of the list in read mode only but be able to edit the list in standard view only. Is this possible? How?

Maybe this helps...I found some users having the problem that the list WAS read only in datasheet view...this is a list of reasons why this could happen:
Certain columns, such as Created By and Modified, are always read-only. Values for these columns are entered automatically.
The changes you made to the selected row or column have been submitted to the server. If there is no conflict or error, you will be able to edit the row or column after the changes have been saved.
There is an unresolved conflict or error in the selected row or column. Resolve the conflict or error before attempting to edit the selected row or column.
The list is set up to require content approval, and you are viewing the list in the All Items view.
In the My Submissions view of a list that requires content approval, the
Approval Status and Comment column are read-only. Only a user with Manage Lists right can edit these two columns.
Attachments are read-only in a list that requires content approval. You cannot view or edit attachments in any of the views.
The document in the current row has been checked out by a user. You cannot edit the columns in the row until the user checks the document in.
You do not have permission to edit the column or row. Contact the list author for more information.

How do I edit the drop down lists of past email recipients?

This is annoying, i get a list of past email recipients but cannot edit the list. Seems like there must be a way to do so. any ideas? thanks.

If these are suggested email addresses that are coming up .... When the contact list pops up in the mail app - tap on the blue arrow (if there is a blue arrow next to the email address) next to the name of the email address and another window will open. At the bottom of that window tap Remove From Recents.
The email addresses that do not have the blue arrow are in your contacts list and you would need to delete those addresses in the contacts app if you want to remove them.

I want to edit the list of Genre choices. Is there any way to do it besides editing every file individually?

The genre list is generated from what is in your library.
You can add genres to the list by editing a song and making up a genre for it. I have done this for my Irish music. After changing the genre in the song the list had the new entry.
If you have genres that are duplicates or look like duplicates,for example typos, you need to edit the files with those genres.
Easiest way to find files by genre is with the browser view turned on in iTunes.
