Edit the tag of a widget

Is there someone out there who knows how to edit the tag of a widget?
Apparently there was a description in the release notes of ver 2.0.E.2
on how to do this. The only problem is that I don't have this any more.
According to tn 10585, this is a possible way of getting around the
implementation exception where "more than one widget has the same tag
during the merge". I would really like to hear from someone who had
success at fixing this.

Use the sub-selection tool (white headed arrow) to select individual nodes (points) and delete them.
There's a Path palette with some additional tools. In CS3, it's under Window>Other. It may be in other places in later versions, check the help files.

  • A better way to edit content within a slideshow widget?

    Is there a better way to edit the content of slideshow widgets? I understand the way to see the content of a slideshow and edit it is by viewing thumbnails, but this is a very clunky way to be dealing with a lot of content! It would be super cool to be able to link an entire folder to a slideshow widget and have it update when changes are made in that folder. that way designers could organize their files in finder or bridge and then simply update the slideshow link - i would love that!

    I was afraid of that...
    I don't use lightroom or Photoshop. I used to be a Photoshop user until the cost became so prohibitive. I have since switched to using GIMP as my eternal editor, it's native files are .xcf (musch like the Photoshop .PSD) but Aperture doesn't support .xcf files and I doubt they ever will since GIMP is a free open source tool, rather than a commercial product.
    I have been playing with 3.01 now for a few days and finding that the heal tool and burn and dodge tools seem to be improved. Even though in GIMP they were destructive to the original RAW file those items were noticeably better in the external editor.
    Also, any extreme editing still needs to be done outside of Aperture, so I will take a Catapult or just keep my current workflow....

    Above is my altered XML.
    I went to
    http://sharepoint/Search/Pages/results.aspx?k=Document%201
    and edited Refinement Panel, Web Part
    Refinement in Refinement Panel, Filter Category Definition, that is the XML above!  I ONLY changed Title="Tags" to be "Enterprise Keywords"  and when I do so, (DEselecting the Use Default Configuration), Tags "Disappears"
    after I check in the Search Results page!
    If I select the "Use Default Configuration" checkbox, and click Apply, OK, Check In the page, Tags appers!
    I even tried to rename "Tags" to "Tagss" and it still "Disappeared!"
    Anyway that I can rename that to avoid confusion with my users as I tell them to use "Enterprise Keywords" and then it says "Tags" in Refinement Panel.
    SharePoint 2010 SP2 September 2013 CU, IE 9 x86 on Windows 7 SP1.  I tried on firefox as well, refreshing, and same "result!"

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to rename "Tags".
    For taxonomy filter categories, we need to use the following title: Tags for taxonomy tags filter categories by using
    owsmetadatafacetinfo to display the generated category.
    In the other word, we cannot edit the “Tags” Title.

  • Editing Mavericks Tags Through AppleScript/Automator

    Hi,
    I am trying to edit the tags of a folder on my computer though a folder action so that I do not have to manually edit tags I use frequently. Is there any way to set up Automator or AppleScript to edit them for me?

    The old Finder labels and the new tags overlap a little bit; the new tags can be set by using the xattr utility.  A decent description is in this Ask Different topic.
    You don't necessarily need Cocoa-AppleScript to manipulate Spotlight tags and extended attributes, but ff you are just wanting a starting spot for Cocoa-AppleScript in general, you might take a look at Mac OS X Automation - they have several tutorials and sample projects there.

    Basoically put sd card in computer, drag and drop properly formatted tracks to it, put back in phone and refresh music library !

  • Artwork, podcast notes and editing ID3 tags

    Hello
    I'm trying to get to a point where information about the content of my show appears on the iPod, in iTunes and any other podcatching application/mp3 player. In my case that would be a artist/track listing of the music featured on my podcast.
    I tried editing the ID3 tags under the 'media' tab in Libsyn by inserting the artist/track listing into the comments box but that didn't work. I then read about how to edit the ID3 tags using iTunes but that seemed to refer to editing the tags in a dowloaded podcast and not the tags on a podcast uploaded to Libsyn's server.
    So, how do I edit my ID3 tags to achieve the results I'm looking for?
    Oh.....and I'm also trying to do that thing where my logo will appear in iTunes and on an iPod when the podcast is playing but I'm not having much luck there either. I can't get the logo to appear in my iPod at all. I'm able to get it to appear in the flip section at the top of iTunes but shouldn't it also be in the bottom left hand corner of the iTunes window?
    Thanks
    Neil

    I tried editing the ID3 tags under the 'media' tab in
    Libsyn by inserting the artist/track listing into the
    comments box but that didn't work. I then read about

    to refer to editing the tags in a dowloaded podcast
    and not the tags on a podcast uploaded to Libsyn's
    server.
    When you edit the ID3 tags in iTunes, the information is stored in the file. When this file is subsequently uploaded to a server, and then downloaded by a user, the tags carry through and are available to the user's iTunes/iPod. So you need to use iTunes to add whatever ID3 tags you want before uploading your file.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg.

  • Editing ID3 tags in the finder (not in itunes/quicktime)

    Hi. New mac user. Just wondering if there was any way to edit the ID3 tags of an mp3 file within the finder's 'get info' section (as compared to windows' 'properties' section). If not (which I'm pretty sure there isn't), what would be the best way to go about doing so? Keeping in mind that I want to be able to do it before I import the file into iTunes.

    you can't do it from finder. you can open it in VLC player and do it from there (press command+i in VLC).

  • Is there anyway to edit the names of the Variables/Tags listed in the .IAK file

    I have an .IAK file that has several (about 130) different fieldpoint devices in it and each device has about 90 variables names listed.  I have modified all the names in order to shorten them and standardize/nomalize the variable names.  I would like to be able to just rename the variables in the IAK file, instead of going to each device, connect, 'find devices' in MAX, Save the IAK File (which takes about 10min each) and then drive to the next device and repeat the process 130 times.  I've seen programs that let you view the IAK file, just wondering if the IAK can be edited programmatically.

    The reason is the IAK file has ALL 130+ fieldpoint devices listed, with approx 85 tags per FP, and I have to get the tag information from each site, then I have to copy that file to the server and reload the server.  If (like what happened yesterday) there is a problem saving the .IAK file or the .IAK file gets corrupted, I have to go back to ALL 130+ FP devices and get the information again.  Also, with that many FP stations in the IAK file, it takes a considerable amount of time per save (approx 10min).  On the server, I get the data from these FP devices through OPC that uses the .IAK file.  It's really not an idea situation, but it's what I have to work with.
    If it can't be done, it can't be done.  I would think that the file has to be saved in some format, granted probably some proprietary NI format, but if I knew the format, I could write a program to edit it, unless it's also compressed in some propritary NI format.

  • Can I see and edit the adress book phone tags?

    Hi.
    Does anyone know if it's possible to see and edit the list of standart and costume phone tags on the Lion Adress Book?

  • Why can't I download, edit and tag a photo from the photo stream?, Why can't I download, edit and tag a photo from the photo stream?

    I took a few pictures with my iPhone and then imported them to iPhoto. For a reason I don't understand, a few of the pictures from the camera roll didn't get imported and I thought I lost them. But, there they were in the Photo Stream. But I barely understood how to get the pictures from the steam into my library. Plus, when I copied them to the correct album, iPhoto reported that I couldn't edit them since they were downloaded from the stream. Nor could I tag them.
    Nor could I share them on Facebook. Finally, I just pasted them into the Facebook album and tagged them there.
    This is a mite annoying. Is this how it's supposed to work? Is there no way to actually download and edit and tag a picture from the stream?

  • How do I edit the featured news widget?

    Feeling like an idiot but can't figure how to edit the widget and there's no documentation that I can find.
    Do I delete all the triggers and start with one trigger and target?  Then duplicate?  How would I then go back up the line and re-edit text?
    Thank you!
    Gina

    Hi Vinayak,
    Would I be able to add more then the 3 triggers and target when I drag the widget out, or do I need to cut and paste this each time?
    Basically I am trying to create an effect like on this link (pens, pencils and paints section) http://web.archive.org/web/20120218143625/http://creativecongregation.com/
    I want to have a list of names and as I hover over each one a different image appears, though I am hoping I won't have to keep cutting and pasting it each time.
    Thanks so much for your advice!
    Kind regards

  • How do you edit the Pagination tag?

    Hi BCers,
    I'm trying to modify the appearance of the pagination, and I'm having trouble.
    I've inserted the tag {tag_pagination}
    In the produced code, the HTML is:
    ...(which is my code, with my coded CSS classes)
    Then:
    ---BC's CODE--
    I'd like to eliminate or change that SPAN element, and I can't find where to do it. If I can't, then how do I make the page apply my CSS?

    Your code got wiped out.  Try pasting it again or pasting it on http://jsfiddle.net and saving it and sharing the link.
    There's no way to change the layout of the pagination generated by BC, but usually you can adjust it's styles by adding your own CSS that overrides or updates BC's pagination styles that are included in ModuleStylesheets.css.  Just add some CSS to your main stylesheet:
    ul.pagination {
         display: inline;
    ul..pagination li {
         color: #000;
    ul.pagination li a {
         color: #F00;
    That's just an example. If you provide a URL of your pagination in place I might be able to help.

  • In the Elements 12 Organizer, how do I edit/create tag notes for the people and places categories?

    I upgraded from Elements 4.0 to 12.0, and everything seemed to upgrade correctly except the tag notes I created for people and places under the People and Places categories.  Thankfully, the tag notes I created under the Events category transferred over, but I'm not looking forward to manually transferring over the info in the People and Places tag notes, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    PSE13 introduced a new thumbnails display : the adapative view. It's active by default. The thumbnails are resized to fill entirely the Media section; the plus side is that it shows more thumbnails or bigger ones; that is very useful for visual browsing and searching. But it hides the texts (file name...) and the version sets icons.
    Simply revert to the old 'detailed view' from the view menu or keep in mind the shortcut: Ctrl D. Your choice will stick next time.
