Edit View graphic won't disappear

Gentlefolk;
I am working on a 50+ slide project in Captivate 4, with a mix of GIF and SWF graphics.
In my latter slides, the previous graphic is not disappearing from the EDIT view. If I DUPLICATE a slide to retain some common elements, the graphic can be selected and deleted, but the image remains on the workarea, if that makes sense. If the slide is played, this "ghost" image does not appear, but it play hob with slide creation.
If I insert a BLANK slide, I still get the same ghost image of the previous slide, even though no other elements have been copied over.
If I save and close the file and re-enter, the ghost images are still there.
Now, the ghosts don't appear in the left-pane filmstrip, they just remain in the right-window workspace, but I can't make them go away.
Ideas?

Geesh..I am an idiot...
Rick, that was it. The ghost image was indeed set to "rest of project". I chaged the duration to "rest of slide" and everything worked perfectly.
Thanks so much for pointing out the terribly obvious, which had stumped me!

The "File Edit View Window Help" menu disappears after opening Adobe Acrobat X Standard

After installing Adobe Acrobat X Standard, when I run the program the "File Edit View Window Help" menu is visible for only a brief second then disappears. I tried to press F11 or other functions keys to bring it back. I also installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro which I also have a license for and it would do the exact same thing. Reinstalling the programs did not seem to resolve the problem. Is there an issue inside the registry?

When I press F9, the menu bar appears but the words "File Edit View Window Help" are still missing.
When I press F9 again the menu bar will close.

F9. Some documents hide the menu bar deliberately, or you could have hit F9 by accident.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I go up to "file-edit-view etc and I put cursor over it the word it's pointing to disappears. How can I make it stop. I need to see what I'm pointing at!!

I'm using Windows XP and this issue just started this morning. For some reason my firefox crashed. I got everything fixed but now when I go the the top where it has "File Edit View History etc" and I put the cursor over it the word blanks out. It never used to do this and I can't work with it like this. I prefer Firefox over any other web browser. Please tell me how to change the settings so the word stays there when the cursor highlights it and doesn't disappear. Thank you.

* In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
* Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
* Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Check if you have multiple Java versions installed on your computer.

Also i would suggest uninstall security software and install it back.
Currently you may use F9 key to restore Menu bar.

In 3.6 my File, Edit, View, History, Bookmark etc tabs have disappeared and I'm unable to retrieve them

Suddenly yesterday I lost my File,Edit,View,History, Bookmark,Tools & Help tabs/bar. When I lost them I gained a "Most Visited" tab & a Mozilla/Firefox "Getting Started" tab. I've tried to correct by using system restore with no success, Any suggestions??

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.

Due to eyesight issues, I need to have the menu bars of programs in easy-to-read font and picture size. Specifically, the menu bar across the top (File, Edit, View, etc.), and the menu bar on the left side with the graphic depiction of options.
In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case. Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain. I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small. How can I make your program increase the size?

Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear. Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not). But they no longer appear as a recent import. Lots more happens

Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone to iPhoto and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear. Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not). But they no longer appear as a recent import. Lots more happens and I'm wondering if it's because I have a 5-year old Mac book or iPhoto is having issues. I'm not happy with disappearing photos especially after I've deleted them from my iphone after importing them to my macbook.
Has anyone experienced similar difficulties and what can I do?

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Failure captions don't display in Edit View.

I used to be able to see my halored failure captions when in Edit View, but suddenly, they no longer display. If I preview my project and see that the failure caption needs to be changed in some way (e.g., the size needs to be changed so that the text wraps more appropriately, the caption needs to be moved closer to the object it is supposed to be pointing to), the only way I can see where the failure caption is is to click in the vicinity of where I think it is so the handles are revealed or click the button it is associated with in the timeline. Neither the text or the halored shape/color displays. I have to right click on the selection and choose Edit Text to see the text, but when I try to resize the shape, the text disappears again. I can move the caption to where I think it should be, but I can't tell if I've put it in the right place until I preview the project again because I can't see it on the Edit View screen.

I found the answer to my own question! The image file was covering the failure captions. When I moved the image file to the bottom of the Timeline, I was able to see the failure captions.

I did that (I think I did) however the confusion is that I get only part of the menu and not the most important menu items like "file" "edit" etc. with all the drop downs. It is so freaky - my other computers have no problem like this and I and show the menu bar or not just like you described. I really doubt anyone really understands my problem with it. I took some screen shots of the good computer version and the bad one so someone can "see" exactly what I am seeing. This may be a one of a kind gremlin issue, LOL. Anyway, without those menu items, I am very limited on the usefulness of FireFox on that computer so I have to rely more on Chrome for those features and use the FireFox with Billeo and other tools that still work. Someday it may magically fix itself, LOL.
Of the two images, one is the good computer and the other is the bad. The bad one shows the only way to see the menu items however they disappear after I am done with the custom menu and no other time can I get the items to "appear" it is like they are there but cannot get them to show when in the normal menu bar mode.
