Editable cell of type dropdown

I would like to know how to solve this problem.
I have a cell (of the type dropdown by key) in an ALV, which has to be editable or not, depending on a value of another column? This is possible?
Since on having declared it like dropdown to the column, it does not leave me to put like not editable.
Regards.
Matías

Hi
take another context attribute of type WDY_Boolean in your Context Node which is binded to the ALV.
Fill the Attribute with the appropriate value abap_true for enable and abap_false for disable.
From the GET_MODEL Method of your Interface Controller  get the Instance of CL_SALV_WD_CONFIG_TABLE
lr_config_table->get_column() will return an Instance of the type CL_SALV_WD_COLUMN
lr_column->get_cell_editor() will return you the instance of CL_SALV_WD_UIE
type cast it to CL_SALV_WD_UIE_DROPDOWN_BY_KEY reference.
and call the method lr_dropdown_by_key->SET_ENABLED_FIELDNAME( '<the new context attribute name(boolean)>' ).

  • Edit Cell Events in ALV Grid

    Hi All,
    I am using the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY Function Module to display data in grid and make a column editable using EDIT = 'X' in the fieldcat.Depending on the value in the Column some other column value should change.But the grid values are not getting refreshed.Is there any way to catch the event when the user enters the value in the grid and presses the ENTER button.
    I have an idea of how to handle this situation in case of objects but using Function how can I do this?
    Thanx in advance.

    hi, Samson
    At first, I must to say I'm very glad to hear that my suggestion is helpful to you.
    About the problem on 'DATA_CHANGED'.
    You mentioned that 'through a Function Call in which all the other events like TOP OF PAGE'.
    I guess the FM is 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET', right?
    hehe,  if so, dono't worry, my friend.
    you can do like following:
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET'
           EXPORTING
                I_LIST_TYPE     = 0
           IMPORTING
                ET_EVENTS       = ITAB_EVENTS
           EXCEPTIONS
                LIST_TYPE_WRONG = 1
                OTHERS          = 2.
      CLEAR STR_EVENTS.
      STR_EVENTS-NAME = SLIS_EV_DATA_CHANGED.
      STR_EVENTS-FORM = <b>'DATA_CHANGED'</b>.
      APPEND STR_EVENTS TO ITAB_EVENTS.
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET'
           EXPORTING
                I_LIST_TYPE     = 0
           IMPORTING
                ET_EVENTS       = ITAB_EVENTS
           EXCEPTIONS
                LIST_TYPE_WRONG = 1
                OTHERS          = 2.
    FORM <b>DATA_CHANGED</b> USING RR_DATA_CHANGED TYPE REF TO CL_ALV_CHANGED_DATA_PROTOCOL.
    ENDFORM.
    Through you can't find the entry about DATA_CHANGE in 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET' return, you can add a entry manually by yourself. SAP will care this event.
    The FORM will be triggered when the edited cell lost focus.
    You can have a try, hope it will be helpful.
    thanks

  • Tree view with editable cells?

    Hi,
    I have written a GTK+-2 based graphical visualizer for the NEC2 antenna simulation and analysis tool http://www.qsl.net/5b4az/pages/nec2.html and I am now considering a companion graphical editor for the NEC2 input file. This file is normally produced with a text editor and specifies antenna geometry and then commands to calculate various data regarding antenna characteristics (gain, input impedance etc).
    Luckily the original NEC2 was written in FORTRAN and the input was punched cards with a fixed format, so the current file format is line-based and with a fixed number of parameters per line: you can get an idea by looking into examples files in http://www.qsl.net/5b4az/pkg/nec2/examples/
    What I need is an idea on how to code a graphical line editor with editable cells for each parameter and the ability to add or delete lines as needed. The data in the cells may be numerical or textual or both and there may be inter-relations between cells, e.g. one cell may have a value that is a fixed proportion of another cell's value etc.
    Tips please? Thanks!

    Well, just about any language with bindings for gtk will work in a very similar manner. If I understand correctly, you might want to investigate the GTK treeview and GTK CellRenderer classes. Try to check the tutorials too.
    Hope this helps.
    Yes, thanks! Unfortunately though there is no easy way to have a spin button type editable cell, which would have been best for my needs. However, I found an example in a tutorial for the TreeView which could make a basis for a home brew second-best solution!

  • Changing default Type in Type dropdown of DDL Files only of Generate Server

    Hello,
    When I try to generate a Server Model Definition, the default type of the Type dropdown list of "DDL Files Only" is "Oracle8.1".
    I would like to set it by default at Oracle9i.
    Is that possible?
    Thank you for your answers.
    Nicolas.

    Hello Roel,
    Sorry for replying so late, I hadn't seen your answer...
    I checked the property 'Oracle Version' ans it's already set to "Oracle 9i" ...
    So ? Is it a bug?
    [EDIT] It works when I generate in the "Distribution" tab, but not when I generate in the "Server Model" tab.
    Thank you,

  • Detecting mouse clicks in editable cell of JTable

    Hi everyone :)
    I thought that this question might have been asked before, but I have searched the forums extensively and have not been able to find the solution.
    What I want to achieve is to detect single and double mouse clicks on JTable cells (that are editable).
    For example, I have a JTable and there exists within it an editable cell. If the user clicks on it once then that cell goes into edit mode, and the user can type directly into the cell. I have already successfully implemented this.
    However, what I also want to do is detect a double-click so that I can pop up a dilaog that shows a list of default values that the user can select.
    So here is what I want;
    1. User clicks on the cell once.
    2. Cell moves into edit mode.
    3. If the user clicks again within a certain time interval then cancel edit mode and pop up a dialog containing values that the user can select from.
    I think that to do this I need to be able to detect mouse clicks on the cell that is currently being edited. So far I have been unable to discover how this is done. I have even tried extending JTextField to get what I want, but with no luck.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Ben Deany

    Thanks for the reply.
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to call 'AddMouseListener()' on a cell editor. You are only able to call 'addCellEditorListener()' and that only allows two events to the broadcast (edit cancel, and edit stop).

    Hi,
    you should subclass JTable and overwrite two methods.
    1. protected boolean processKeyBinding(javax.swing.KeyStroke ks,
    java.awt.event.KeyEvent e,
    int condition,
    boolean pressed)
    to store the current keyboard event,
    2.public boolean editCellAt(int row,int column,java.util.EventObject e)
    to fix the problem with isCellEditable and curret position and direct the event into proper place.

  • Change description of Product Type Dropdown in SRM 7.0

    Hello,
    We are upgrading to SRM 7.0 and have a requirement where we need to rename the decription of Product type (dropdown) "Materials" to "Goods" on the "Describe Requirement " screen.
    We tried modifying the value table COMC_PR_TYPE_T which stores these values however the change did not reflect on the Web dynpro side.  This seems to be like a buffering issue however we are not sure.
    Does anybody have any idea why system is behaving this way? or is there any other way of doing it?
    Thanks

    HI,
    Did you solve the problem? Iu2019m facing with the same issue. Iu2019ve thought also that maybe the AS or the portal buffers the dropdown values, but now Iu2019m not sure about this. Please help, if you know the answer.
    Thanks,
    Roland

    Hello, I solve it adding this to Word_insert_Table.
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Report-Generation-MS-Word-Table-Bug/td-p/1605170
    Thanks.
    Open [LabVIEW installation folder]\vi.lib\addons\_office\_wordsub.llb\Word_Insert_Table.vi
    There is a nested for loop that interprets the provided string array data and reformats it into a long ASCII string for the copy buffer. It should look like this:
    Change the nested loop to look like this:
    The changes I've made are twofold:
    1. Within the inner loop, replace the "\n" char with a Tab character
    2. Just after the inner loop, add a new "concatenate strings" function that adds "\n".

  • How to change Table Cell Field Type Dynamically?

    Hi All,
    I am fetching some news data from backend DB and displaying them in a WD Table. Now one News Item may or may not have a URL behind it. If I find the URL as null then I want to display the news as simple TextView otherwise as LinkToUrl. How can I change this input type dynamically for each row in the runtime?
    If I use LinkToUrl all the time then the items which has URL as null gets displayed as normal text, but they are of very faint color and I can not change the text design. Whether if I user TextView I can set some text design like Header2, Header 3 etc.
    Can anybody please help with some code block? My main requirement is how to change the table cell input type dynamically.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Shubhadip

    Hi Shubhadip,
    This is the sample code for creating and adding a table cell editor table dynamically.
    public static void wdDoModifyView
    (IPrivateDynamicTableCreationView wdThis, IPrivateDynamicTableCreationView.IContextNode wdContext, com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDView view, boolean firstTime)
    //@@begin wdDoModifyView
    /*** 1.Create Table **/
    IWDTable table =
    (IWDTable) view.createElement(IWDTable.class, "table1");
    table.setWidth("100%");
    table.setVisibleRowCount(data.length);
    /*** 2.Create nameColumn **/
    IWDTableColumn nameColumn =
    (IWDTableColumn) view.createElement(IWDTableColumn.class, "Name");
    IWDCaption colHeader =
    (IWDCaption) view.createElement(IWDCaption.class, "NameHeader");
    colHeader.setText("–¼‘O");
    nameColumn.setHeader(colHeader);
    IWDTextView nameViewer =
    (IWDTextView) view.createElement(IWDTextView.class, "NameViewer");
    nameViewer.bindText(nameAtt);
    IWDTableCellEditor editor = (IWDTableCellEditor) nameViewer;
    nameColumn.setTableCellEditor(editor);
    table.addColumn(nameColumn);
    IWDTableColumn nationalityColumn =
    (IWDTableColumn) view.createElement(
    IWDTableColumn.class,
    "Nationality");
    IWDTableCellEditor nationalityEditor =
    (IWDTableCellEditor) nationalityViewer;
    nationalityColumn.setTableCellEditor(nationalityEditor);
    table.addColumn(nationalityColumn);
    /** 3. Bind context to table **/
    table.bindDataSource(nodeInfo);

  • Listbox set to NOT editable cells; EditRow property seems to override

    Hi All,
    I have several listboxes that I programmatically set to Editable Cells or not, depending on the runtime status. When I have it turned OFF, I do not want the user to be able to edit the text values in the cells.
    However, I have a RTM for the listbox with an "Edit" option. That menu item sets the EditRow property (after setting Key Focus) to the selected row. This makes the text editable, even if I have it turned OFF!!
    This is not the behaviour I expected. Is this a bug?

    Could you provide the code that you are seeing this occur in? Its almost impossible to see if this is a bug without some example. The simpler the example the better.
     It is possible that it is a bug, but it's also possible that you are setting the cell to edit mode after you set it to lock. I am wondering why you are doing that? Its most likely that you want to edit some cells but keep others locked from editing, and I do not think that is a bug, however, it might be a good product suggestion to keep certain cells permanently locked from the user, which is probably not the case with the lock function you are using (which most likely can be over ridden by other property nodes).
