Edited photos won't transfer

After I edited photos on phone they will not transfer to computer. Unedited ones will.

However, that software costs $40. The free trial only allows 20 photos to be transferred, then won't work any more,
This is really a bug or quirk in how iOS works. Edited photos should be transferable just like unedited originals. Its ridiculous that it doesn't, and that 3rd party work arounds are being suggested as a 'solution'.
iPhone users who paid $400-$800 for the phone, that has a camera, built in photo editing support, that can transfer unedited original pictures, should not have to go spend $40 to compensate for a shortcoming in the product, because customers can't transfer photos they've taken & edited on the very phone they bought from Apple.
More & more, Apple is referring customers to 3rd party products, work arounds, & band aid fixes, rather than truly supporting their products and producing proper fixes & solutions for their product shortcomings and bugs.

Only cropped photos won't transfer

For some reason, photos that I crop on both my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 won't transfer to my Windows 7 PC; instead, the original version is transferred. I have tested this and photos that I have edited one of the other 3 ways (rotate, enhance, red eye) show up on my computer they way they've been saved to my Camera Roll. Is there a problem with cropped photos in iOS 6 right now?

This is normal. As I know only iPhoto recognize these changes. Crop them in your computer.

Edited photos won't show up

when i am using iphoto and scrolling through photos i notice that there are a lot of black blank pages..it only will reappear when i go back to edit photo and reset all the settings. this is getting frustrating because i can't upload these photos unless they are unedited. is this happening to anyone else?

Photos won't transfer to MacBook Pro from iPhone 5

Since I upgraded to iOS 8.02, I can't find a way to get my photos from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro. Before, when I connected my phone via the Lightning Cable, Image Capture automatically launched (along with iTunes), and the photos were available for transfer. Now, Image Capture doesn't launch, and when I start the program up manually, it doesn't show the iPhone as a device. iTunes seems to be working properly, everything syncs fine. Same thing happens in my regular photo program (Photo Mechanic -- I do not use iPhoto).
I've tried two different cables, same result.
How do I fix?

This has never been a feature of iphone/ipod/ipad.
Iphone supports bluetooth for stereo speakers/headsets, handsfree telephone, some keyboards, some apps, and internet tethering if provided by the carrier

Sleek photo won't transfer WMA fil

I have just got a sleek photo and went to transfer some of my music, but after the transfer appearing to work, it says 'not transfered-unknown error'. In fact, the ONLY file that transfered was one that was in MP3 format. I'm confused, any ideas?

I have Vista (don't laugh) and my videos are transferred over when I plug in my phone. They don't open up in Winodws Picture Viewer though.
They are under my Photos, under the date created by the sync. Do a search I'm sure you'll find them.

How to transfer edited photos to PC? Question AND some solutions!

I make photos with my 5s. I Love HDR and Volume Trigger, so I use apple camera app.
I hate 4:3 Ratio, so I edit the photo using the apple photo app (or directly after shooting the photo) to 16:9 and it looks great.
Once a Week I sync with itunes and get my photos to PC (Win7) BUT only the Original Photos appear on PC.
I already read in apple help that the editing is "non-destructive" so only applied in meta data, which will be read correctly on a MAC ...
But I want my edited photos?
Is there an easy way to get them?
I already know follings workaround which I dont really like.
1. Email the Photos (too time consuming for me)
2. Use another Photoeditor App and save either lokal in app then transfer only from that app instead of apple photos app. (I love the stock app, especially red eye fix)
3. Use another camera app which CAN directy save 16:9 photos, so nothing to edit.(here also I love the stock app and didnt find anything compareable, I already own procamera 7 and camera+)
4. edit photos on PC and s**t on apple (actual my favorite)
5. Use Dropbox (auto upload function will only upload originals). On the other hand if I choose in dropbox manually photos to be uploaded the edited ones will be there (my favorite #2)
I included the solutions for other ppl. with same problem to let em know.
Any other solutions?

Have you tried after editing the photo, and it is in full view, do a screen shot? The saved screen shot should appear as a new photo.

Iphoto won't quit, won't import photos, stalls while editing photos despite rebuilding the database

I have mountain lion and the newest version of iphoto. It won't quit unless I force quit it, it won't import photos, it won't let me edit photos without freezing up. I have tried rebuilding the database and repairing permissions without success

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it freezes also try this:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If the new library doesn't freeze or act like your current library then your current library is the culprit.
In that case Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

My edited Raw photos won't save from CS6 back to iPhoto?

When I transfer a raw file via "edit in external editor" from iPhoto11 to CS6 and then edit it, I choose "Save", not "Save as", but then "Save As" dialogue box appears and I can't seem to enter anything that will result in the edited (now) jpeg appearing back in the iPhoto Library? Always flatten the image in Photoshop before saving.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

I've edited some photos on my ipad using the iPhoto app and I would like to have them transferred back to my iMac. Can anyone please show me the required steps? Thanks.
Note: I've tried plugging in my ipad to my iMac and opened iPhoto on my iMac but it seemd like I could only transfer non-edited photos from the iPad.

Turn on PhotoStream on your iPad and in iPhoto on your Mac. They will sync to your Mac.
iPad - Settings > iCloud > photoStream = on.
Mac > iPhoto > preferences > PhotoStream > enable

While in organizer window, I select edit photos and the elements workspace won,t open. Any solution

If your Elements workspace is not loading then i think it is the problem with the Editor's preferences.
