on adobe photoshop album starter 3.2 I send pics to my ipod & get both the original & auto fixed(edited) pic. How do I remove or keep from exporting the original from my software? I do not see it in my catalogue or files.

Not sure what you mean Sabrina. Do you mean how do you keep from exporting
the original to the ipod? Or remove it from the catalogue? Can you also
explain your process... ie., why you want to do that latter?

Can't save edited pics to Organizer

Just upgraded from PSE 9 to PSE 12. Running Windows 7. After editing pic in Editor, I cannot save it to the Organizer in a version set or any other way. The edited pic does save to the computer folder where the pics are stored. Checked boxes include- Save as to original folder, Include in Element Organizer, Save in version set. I've wandered around the forum but couldn't find anything that applied to my problem. Any ideas?

Are you saying that reinstalling 12 might do some good (I did not uninstall PSE 9 yet)? The first installation went so smoothly that I am wondering if I might get lucky twice with 12's install.
Aftrer reading some more of the many posts, I'm considering starting a new catalog. I think that I read that the problem mostly occurs with converted catalogs. What are your thoughts on that possibility.
I'm reluctant to mess with the catalog in any way since it seems to be a very fragile thing.
If I were to create a new catalog, do you think it would be possible to put (from an sd card) some of the same pics that are in the old catalog into the new one without causing problems?
Would I be able to access the old catalog with 12 to export pics? I'm guessing that I should be able to do anything to the pics in the old catalog except save them to the organizer.
Would it be possible to convert both catalogs to a new version of Elements if I should ever take the risk again?
Sorry for so many questions, but I feel pretty ignorant with what appears to be software that is very difficult to upgrade to.

I imported edited pics from my iPhone and iPhoto ignored all modifications.

Yesterday I took photographs of images that I found at home. I simply edited them on my iPhone to remove the borders and it looked brilliant! However, when I imported the edited pics into iPhoto, all the changes were ignored. iPhoto showed the raw originals, not the edited ones. There was no way to change that. Why?? That was 2 hrs of wasted time on my weekend. Not very Apple-like...

I am sure I have all the latest software updates installed... Probably really gonna have to wait for "Photos.app"
If you enable iCloud Photo Library (Beta) on your iPhone in the Photos&Camera Settings, you can download the edited photos using the Photos (Beta) app on the iCloud web interface, at https://www.icloud.com/
The mobile devices with iOS 8 already support iCloud Photo Library. The only drawback will be, that you can no longer sync photos from your Mac to the iPhone using iTunes. You will have to upload using the web interface as well.

Does anyone have an issue when they edit a pic using the built in editor on the 4s; and when you upload the edited pic or send it, the original one is sent. i even double check my photo in my album and it shows the edited pic

i have even double checked the album and the album has the EDITED pic but for some reason when uploaded or sent the original is what goes thru... makes me very irritated! not sure if its a setting or some bug... any suggestions???

I think it depends on how you share it. Sometimes when I email it to myself it retains the edits, but I read that when people sync their phone it sometimes does not.

Can not find edited pics on the phone with my computer

I am running OS5 and i can not transfer the edited pic's that I edited with the phone. I can view them on the phone but when I am connected to it from the computer I can not see them on my computer to save them. Any ideas?

Are you on a Mac? Did you try Image Capture (it's in the Apps folder on the Mac)? Maybe try rebooting your desktop or rebooting your phone and then plugging it in again.

HT4053 I transferred a folder of pictures to mt iPad so I could use a few photo apps to retouch some of the pictures in the folder and now I can't get the original folder off the iPad.i can transfer the edited pics to the camera roll

PSE 7 with windows 7 cannot get edited pics just not back in Org ?

Since installinng windows 7 I have not been able to edit pictures and have them back in Organizer just have a blank icon this happend after
installing windows photo gallery. went to default tried to put defalt as Adobe photoshop elements organizer but it will only show
editor. if I go to windows gallery the pic can be opened but why can't we have it stay in pse?

Try making a direct shortcut to the Organizer.
Right click on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
Inside the Adobe >> Photoshop Elements Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file “PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with six small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
Select it and click OK
Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.

IPhone6 edited pics not updating in Aperture iCloud

Got a problem:
I take a pic on my new iPhone6 which shows up on my iCloud in Aperture. I then edit said picture on my iPhone and it looks great, but the pic does not update on the iCloud. Is this a bug in here?

On your iPhone 6 you probably have iOS 8 installed, right? In the previous iOS versions you need simply to save a copy of the edited version to the Camera Roll and it would stream to your photo libraries on your Mac, but with the new Photos.app duplicating does no longer work this way. I have not yet found a way to create a second, edited version, so this version will stream back.

After I edit pics and burn to a cd, i get them printed and it prints orig

after i load my pics into iphoto, make a album, chose the desired pictures, edit the pictures in the album and then burn it to a cd. I take the cd to say wal-mart to get printed and none of the pictures i edited have kept the changes the print i get back are all from the original?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
How are you burning the disk?
The correct way is to select the pics in the aiPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export them to a folder on the desktop. Then burn that folder to the CD using the Finder.

Saving Edited Pics in Full Screen Mode

Hi all,
I'm pretty sure there is a way, but I couldn't figure it out, but what I want to do is to be able to save a copy of a pic when viewing in FS as a copy. So lets say I'm viewing a pic, and it looks good in B&W, but I want to save a copy of the original, and the copy in B&W.
Is there a keyboard shortcut that would let me do this?

If you edit or make any change to the pic, the original is always kept and a copy saved so that you can revert to the original.
If you are working on a file that has already been edited tho' beware, as this will overwrite the modified file. In this case make a Duplicate of the edited photo (Photos Menu -> Duplicate) and work on that.

Can't edit pics in external editor

I can't open anything from my iPhoto library up in Photoshop. For instance, if I Control+click an image in iPhoto, I see that there is an option Edit in External Editor," but it's all un-clickable and gray rather than the normal clickable black. How can I open my iPhoto pics in Photoshop?

And note that after editing in an external editor you "save" to return the photo correctly to the iPhoto library and update the iPhoto database - do not save as which will create a new photo and not be a part of the iPhoto library until it is imported
Also after configuring an external editor you can set the edit in back to in main window and normal editing will be by iPhoto - right clicking brings up the additional options including the external editor

Editing pics in IPhoto

This just started happening - When I try to edit a photo in IPhoto and select that photo it enlarges but the edit button is grayed out. Why?
Previously I have had no issues and editing (enhancing) was easy.
I can go to View - full screen ......and edit there but there is no done button so it does not stay.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Saving Edited pics from the project bin

I am a little rusty as I havent used my PSE 9 for quite some time and I cant remember how to save the files that have been edited in the project bin. I click on File - Save As........But it will only allow me to save one pic at a time. Thats it. Can someone please refresh my memory on this. I may be doing it all wrong..

You need to double click on your main image and then drag your second image up from the project bin. That creates separate images on separate layers.

Edited pics from adobe cs2 don't show up as fixed on atv

When I fix my pics in photoshop, such as red eye or rotate the pic so that it is straight still show up as the unedited on my ATV. I am saving them and placing them in files like I have always done. When I put them in a slide show and show them on a projector they turn out right. When I print them they or right. It is just when I would like to preview them on my ATV that they revert back. Can anyone help me with this problem.

Are you saying that you do the edits in Adobe CS from within iPhoto so that the modified files are accessed properly by iTunes/TV or are you saying that you are modifying the files in Adobe CS externally and leaving the original files in iPhoto for sync and/or streaming?
When I put them in a slide show and show them on a projector they turn out right.
A slideshow full animation video would re-compress the stills to an MPEG-4/AAC file.
When I print them they or right.
Printing allows use of any image compression format/file type compatible with your computer. TV is limited to JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, and PNG files.

Saving edited pics. When opened they go back to original.

I have been searching online trying to find an answer with no luck but am sure this has probably been covered many times. Anyways I am a newb... I am trying to use photoshop elements 5 for the first time
editing. Once I get the pic tweaked to my liking I of course save it. Now I would like to email the edited photo to someone who doesnt have photoshop. I click save as and choose jpeg, tiff, jpeg2000, etc(tried all) and once I re-open the saved/converted file it is the original and not the edited version. What is my problem? Thanks!

You don't enlarge them, all you're doing is zooming into them. Try cropping.
