Edited recording from sattelite tv?

Hello iMovie newbie here,
I recorded some stuff from sattelite tv onto a dvd and now I have selected all the parts that I want (excluding adverts etc) and i'm left with 2 shows in the "my new project window" and I notice that there is a gap between both and can the 2 different shows be kind of stitched together to create one continues project when i view it or will there be a slight break between both?
I'm just exporting this iDVD and have not viewed it how it looks yet and should I be bothered as it only looks like a small gap?

After editing I have worked out what to do with the final video and thanks but I have one other question if someone could help.
I chose the share option in iMovie to export to iDVD and when in iDVD is there a option so I could drop it onto a usb stick for playback instead of burning to DVD?

I do not see a way to separate audio channels to edit them separately in Premiere Elements (any version).
Premiere Elements does have audio effects including Balance, Fill Right/Fill Left, and Swap channels, but that is not what you are seeking.
I would refer you to an audio editor such as the free Audacity for what you want to do.

The files on the DVD are MPEG 2 files and need to be converted in order to be usable in iMovie. Streamclip from Squared5 is one option although others are available. Wondershare is one as well. Just Google for mp2 converters and you'll find many.

i have built a form which contain master and details blocks
the problem is
when i try to delete a record from the master block it gives me new serial for the transaction and when i try to save it, it says

although in another form when i delete from the master it gives me the previous record and it works properly

Problem with Adobe Audition 2.0 and recording from a 1212m.

I bought a brand new machine and have be configuring it all week. Everything has been going well, except getting Adobe Audition 2.0 (the new version) to “hear” sound from the 1212m.
The intel 975 motherboard has an integrated HD sound system already on board and I have been able to get adobe audition to recognize it and record from it. This is what I have Windows XP Pro set to as my default sound card.
I installed the 1212m and I have gotten my monitors to work by using the XLR jacks on the monitors to the ¼ inch jacks on the 1212m using a VST (NI’s Kontakt 2) as the audio source. So it works.
What I can’t seem to get to work is getting Adobe Audition to “hear” the sound coming from the 1212m.
Patchmix seems to be working ok. The audio bars jump each time I hit a note on the keyboard.
I have configured Audition by going to Audio Hardware Setup and setting it to EMU ASIO and tried every combination of INPUT and OUTPUT, but when I hit the Record button in Audition it just flat lines..
I was hoping that once the audio made it from the VST though the 1212m and out to the speakers, that getting Audition to record it would be easy, but that hasn’t been the case.
The Intel 955 Extreme Edition and the 975 motherboard are brand new and I’m worried that being on the bleeding edge of technology, that one of the drivers isn’t working correctly and causing me hours of debugging a problem that is unworkable from my end.
Hopefully the problem is just some small stupid thing that I’m doing or failing to do (like normal).
Any ideas would be helpful.

I'm just saving it into a file in "My documents" on the internal hard drive. It's a computer in the office which has been used my other people before me and I have my own file which I was always able to save Adobe sound files into before, so I don't think it's anything to do with me not being allowed or read-only.
I've also been trying to save it onto USB hard drives. This works when I save it under a different name, but not when I'm just trying to update a file i've been working on. Basically I have to create a new file everytime I add something, so like "myaudit1", "myaudit2", "myaudit3" etc etc, even though it's the same piece of work just updated.

HOW TO: Use Input tags to edit records

The question has been asked, "What does using the BC4J Input data tags provide
over standard HTML input fields?" It is true that either type of input field allows
your JSP to take user input and update your BC4J datasource. Both types of input
fields submit a name-value pair to a JSP processing page that bind the data with
a datasource row and attribute. However, unless you use the BC4J Input data tags,
users will not be able to edit data in existing records. To see the difference,
use the JDeveloper DataPage Wizard to create an Insert Record form and an Edit
Record form.
To create the Insert Record form:

In the Edit form, the BC4J input data tags are needed because in this case,
the page has to query the current value of the record and place that data into

OR
Use standard HTML input fields when you do not need to query the database to show existing records. This is the case in a static Insert Record form where only empty HTML fields are rendered.
The end goal of each Input tag is to supply a name-value pair to a processing
page which will then update the database according to the value passed to it.
For example in order to update the "Ename" column of the Emp table,
a name-value pair such as Ename="smith" must be passed via an HTML
form to a processing page. The processing page will then be able to update the
table with the new value of the attribute using the following code:

in the OTN topic "How To: Navigating Using DataTags".)


Ok. I didn't understand your question.
You have to do some settings for adding new rows for the analysis grid in Analyzer. And in the new rows you can input the characteristic values. To enable the new rows
In Analyzer - uncheck the setting Suppress New Lines in the proprties of the Analysis grid item.
In WAD - Check the property Number of New Lines (NEW_LINES_COUNT) of Analysis grid item. You use this parameter to insert any required number of empty rows into the table. The parameter is set to 0 by default.

I am working on Oracle Apps - 11.5.8 version.
I have some doubts in deleting the records from MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS table.
There are few records which have junk characters and currently resides in table.
I need to delete those records.
But as per the approach; we should not delete any data directly from MTL table as it would cause huge impact.
I have followed the below approach; but didnt worked out well.

You have to use the delete item utility of Oracle Inventory.
Responsibility: Inventory Superuser or similar
Navigation: Items -> Delete Items
Enter a meaningful name in the Group field.
Type - Item
Select the organization you want to delete the item from.
In the details section, enter the items you want to delete.
Once all the items entered, click on the "Chcek Group" button. This will validate whether the items you have entered are eligible to delete (i.e. whether any child record such as transactions exist).
It will submit a concurrent program and once the program finishes you will be able to see the result in the Results tab.
Finally click on the "Delete Group" button to delete the eligible items.

Your code makes absolutely no sense whatsover. The whole point of MERGE is that it allows us to conditionally apply records from a source table as inserts or updates to a target table. So why have you coded two separate statements? And why are you using such horrible dynamic SQL?
Sorry to unload on you, but you seem to have your code unnecessarily complicated, and that it turn makes it unnecessarily harder to debug. As an added "bonus" this approach will also perform considerably slower than a single MERGE statement. SQL is all about set operations. Don't do anything procedurally which can be done in a set.

Using ADO.NET EF provider within ODAC 11.2.0.3 Release 5 I am trying to get a record from the root table. I coded a test using MSTest and when I do "myContext.MyTable.Where(...).FirstOrDefault();" VS2010 stops the debugging process after a while - no exception is caught in code but I get an error in Test results window: "The test adapter 'UnitTestAdapter' threw an exception while running test '<my test>'. Unable to fetch records from database with huge selection screen

Hi all,
I have 20 fields from selection screen.
I have a z table with these 20 fields .
Now with the values entered in the selection screen i have to fetch the records from the z table.
All fields in the selection screen are not mandatory, the user may or may not enter the values.
I have to fetch the records based on the values entered.
I wrote a select with where condtion to all those 20 fields. but its not retreving the records.
All the fields in the selection screeen are parameters.
Could you help me on this, please. I wrote in the where conditon with field1 = value AND field 2 = value.. etc... field20 = value.
Please guys help me out.

I have a problem with the select query.
as i said i have 20 fields, ranges are working for few fields.
But i have couple of fields as descriptions. So i have to fetch the records for pattenr as well.
Means, user can enter in the description............. like    "ab". So in the description if there is anything   with 'ab' it should fetch.
it works with a LIKE statement with % symbols.
but it doenst work with   ranges and patterns in same select. I mean the below is not working.

r_obj, r_pro are ranges and s_des is the pattern, ex: %ab%.              so in this case how it has to be done... could you please help me on this.. the other fields could be blank( r_obj and r_pro)..

Recording from mic, not sound card

Hi there. Relatively new to Audition so trying to get my head around it!
I'm using Adobe Audition 3.0 and i'm mucking about with it basically to get some experience for my uni project. I'm trying to compile and edit together a collection of audio clips from a number of web streams. I've done it before for a while on a different computer and it worked fine but i'm having trouble doing it right on this occasion.
Basically, it's recording from my microphone rather than what's being played on the computer. I have no idea how to change this. Any help guys?

I bet you've moved to a Vista or Windows 7 machine.
Under pressure from the record companies, the ability to record the Stereo Mix output of you computer has been disabled or removed from many new computers.
You may be lucky and find it's only been disabled on your machine. If so, then do the following:
To enable:
->> go to Control Panel
->> Hardware and Sound
->> Manage Audio devices
->> in the Recording tab window right click in the white area away from any devices and from the menu enable "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show disconnected devices"
->> right click on Stereo Mix to get the properties window and in Device usage "Use this device (enable)"
However, there have been many reports in here (you can do a search) that some computer manufacturers are actually removing this ability entirely, again under pressure from the record companies.
This being the case, you might try some software called Virtual Audio Cable: http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
You have to pay for it but at least there's a trial version so you can see if it works for you before laying out your money.

Recording from a turnta

I would like to record from a turntable. What hardware and software do I need?

I record from tape and turntable regularily but have not used the input of my SoundBlaster since I got my JB and then replaced it with JB3. Using the JB3 is simple and very convenient! with options to record to mp3 at various CBR bit rates or to wav at various sampling frequencies. I choose 44.kHz wav and usually add +dB of gain in the JB3. Once the wavs are completed, I move them to my PC which is fast via firewire, then use Audacity http://audacity.soungforge.net to split up the individual tracks. I name each Artist - Album - # - track, 2, 3 etc encode to mp3, and then use the SuperTagging feature of Music Match Juke Box to fill in the tags, providing track titles, year of release and the cddb genre, which I edit later.
I am one of the lucky ones with most of my LP's still in pristine condition so do not worry too much about pops and ticks (from that pizza in 973) etc.

Recording from HDMI out

We have an event coming up at work and one of the presenters will be using Apple TV. I will be recording the event and want to capture the Demo from the Apple TV box to edit into the video presentation.
Is it possible to record from the HDMI out?
Does Apple offer a way to record the live stream?

Thanks for the responds...this demo will be live from what I understand. It will not be a pre-recorded or produced presentation.
I may have no choice other than recording one of the flat screen monitors.

Recording from external source

I am brand new to Mac / switched from pc a week ago. not able to figure out some things yet and havent found answers in support. mostly on the basic stuff. like I was able to record audio from a lp turntable on a pc. it looks like there is no recording program built in to the iMac, or am I wrong? will I have to purchase some type of software to record from external record or tape source?

You posed a question about Real Instruments in the absent post. A Real Instrument can be a microphone input or any device that connects to the Audio-In port (or a USB/Firewire Audio device).
