Editing a event that repeats on a custom schedule

I had lots of custom schedules for repeating events in iCal 2, under Tiger. Now, with iCal 3, under Leopard, I see that I can't edit those schedules. Instead, I need to delete the old event, and create a new one in iCal 3. The new iCal 3 event then has the up and down arrow next to "Custom" that can be clicked to further edit the schedule. The events from iCal 2 have only ". . . " next to Custom.
Anyone else having this problem, or anyone else who has figured out a way around this?
Anyone else getting the feeling that iCal 3 is the lamest stuff that Apple has put out in a long, long time?

I option + drag an event (which copies it) to each of the days it occurs. For example, if you have a 9AM touchbase meeting for a new project Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week and then another meeting the following week on Tuesday at 10AM, just option+drag the original event that you typed into Monday onto the other days and just change the time on the Tuesday event. Easy as pie.

It is possible to have multiple libraries in a single account and use each one for a different iPod without affecting the other. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Option key when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library but if you are only going to update your Dad's iPod periodically this shouldn't be an issue:

How can i organize events that repeat every year with iphoto. For example, if i make picrues every year or 1 time a month, of my doughter, for example:
Playing with our dog in the garden january 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden march 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden October 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden december 2012
Playing with our dog in the garden march 2013
I don't know, what is the intelligent type of eventname.
If i made "Playing with our dog in the garden", than i cant see the difference of growing (3 Month old chilren is completle different of a 5 Month old children)
If i made "Playing with our dog in the garden Month Year" then the events are hundrets in 5 Year.
I think, i don't understand, how to organize the contents with events. Is thera a whitepaer, a guide or somethink like that to take the DB organized how Apple iPhoto is meaning?

The Trick is to create an Album
Playing with Dog in Garden
Drag the images you want from the Events to the Album. Sort the Album on Date. Now you have a chronological view of your daughter playing in the garden with the Dog.
Albums are similar to playlists in iTunes. The contain pointers to files in the Library, so they use no disk space. An shot therefore can be in as many albums as you want.

I use Events simply as big buckets of Photos: Spring 08, July - Nov 06 are typical Events in my Library. I use keywords and Smart Albums extensively. I title the pics broadly.
I keyword on a
Who
What
Where basis (The When is in the photos's Exif metadata). I also rate the pics on a 1 - 5 star basis.
Using this system I can find pretty much find any pic in my 50k library in a couple of seconds.
So, for example, I have a batch of pics titled 'Seattle 08' and a typical keywording might include: John, Anne, Landscape, mountain, trees, snow. With a rating included it's so very easy to find the best pics we took at Mount Rainier.
File -> New Smart Album
set it to 'All"
title contains Seattle
keyword is mountain
keyword is snow
rating is 5 stars
Or, want a chronological album of John from birth to today?
New Smart Album
Keyword is John
Set the View options to Sort By Date Ascending
Want only the best pics?
add Rating is greater than 4 stars
The best thing about this system is that it's dynamic. If I add 50 more pics of John to the Library tomorrow, as I keyword and rate them they are added to the Smart Album.
In the end, organisation is about finding the pics. The point is to make locating that pic or batch of pics findable fast. This system works for me.

Sync events that repeats every TWO years on the Google Calendar

syncing every event that occurs every two year on the google calendar it is repeated yearly on the iphone calendar app.
but the odds doesn't stop here: if you look into the event detail (on the iphone) it reports "custom : every two year"!
any idea for resolve this?

here`s some more complete information from my client
- User, in Lotus Notes, uses the agenda and select "Create" "Appointment" instead of "plan a meeting"
in the appointment, she repeats every 2 weeks.
after replication, it does show on the blackberry
When the User add comments in 1 appointment and save the changes, after replication, all the repeatable appointment disapear from the blackberry in the calendar.
I have tried it on my blackberry ( Curve) and did not have that problem.

How can I unsubscribe from an event or edit an event that I am subscribed to in iCal?

I just added an event from the website last.fm and iCal went through this list of new tasks before it could be added, and now I am subscribed to this event. However, I wasn't looking to create a new "calendar," which is what seems to have happened, and I would like to edit the event to add it to an existing "calendar," but iCal says I cannot edit nor remove events that I am subscribe to. Does anyone know a trick or loophole to undo the subscription??

How do I copy events on iCal, for events that repeat on various days (not per the repeat options provided when creating the event)?

My schedule varies, and I need the capability to copy an event over mutltiple, random days without retyping the information each time. The repeat function does not work for me, as it is not customizable to events that occur on different weekdays. Does aanyone know a good fix for this? It seems like a pretty basic function, but I can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be GREATLY appreeciated!

Locally edit an event received from a subscription

I publish an iCal feed (so I have complete control over the feed properties) and while iCal imports it just fine, I am not allowed to locally edit the event details. It appears to be a read-only affair.
I am not referring to having local edits be pushed back to remote, I understand that requires a full two-way protocol such as Cal/WebDAV, I just want the user to be able to edit an event that is already in their iCal.
Does this capability just not exist in iCal - all non-CalDAV subscriptions purely read-only or is there some kind of a flag/setting that I need to enable in my feed properties?

A subscription is read-only - and you can't even copy data from events to another calendar.

Is it possible to edit the calendar that an event is on from the phone?

iPhone 2.0: I hope I'm not missing something here (though, I guess I hope I am), but is it possible to change the calendar that an event is on, after adding it to iPhone? In other words, first adding to Calendar an event to any of several calendars I have on my phone ("Home," for example), then going back to edit it to change the calendar to "Work," all from the phone itself? Going back to edit an event allows changing Title/Location, Starts/Ends, Repeat, Alert, Notes. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The option to change the calendar in edit mode is missing, which is a glaring oversight by Apple. I really makes no sense to omit this option. I will be very disappointed if it is not added in the next update. You either have to delete and add it as a new event in the proper calendar, or edit it in iCal on the computer.

Custom Events are repeating with the standard events

Hello All,
I am facing a problem with the customization of standard OA Page.
We have modified the page by adding a new custom region with three buttons in it. We have also developed a controller for that region to handle the events. when a button is clicked, a new page opens up in a new window.
I have observed that the custom controller is called when any event occurs in the page irrespective of the region.
Now the actual problem is whenever any of the custom buttons are clicked, according to the requirement the new window opens up. But if we perform any other standard events in the page like clicking a standard LOV immediately after performing the custom event, then that most recent custom event is repeating with that standard event.
how to prevent this repetetion of custom event with standard event?
please help me solve this problem..

Create one on the first Tuesday, select repeat/monthly and take the option at the bottom.

This should get you started down the pathJust replace User data with your cluster and do the data integrity check in the value change event use a simple one button dialog to notify the user which values are out of compliance and disable and grey the OK button untill all conditions are met.

If you have Outlook 2007 on your computer you can set up the event to repeat every third Thursday on a calendar on your computer within Outlook. Then sync your iPhone with Outlook on your computer using iTunes.

I am not sure how this works but it seems that it may be all or nothing.
To turn off Facebook events on your device:
Settings > Facebook > Calendars > Off

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I use firefox for so many, many years thta I deserve this kind of support .. thnx Robert
