  • Merge Flash Player Skin with Flash Video for Single Flash File

My company uses a content management system for it's website and I am the administrator. The CMS does not require or use html code. I am a new to Flash, but I am able to produce some simple files. I have compiled a simple 2 minute video clip that I need to upload to my companies website. The Flash file requires a player skin which I was able to produce. I understand that when you output to Flash, two files are created. As I understand it, one file is for the skin and the other is for the movie along with the html code that links the two. Unfortunately, our content management system does not recognize the link between these two sets of files and I am unable to import them. I can import the flash movie clip without the player, but that does not suit my needs. I can import the player skin without the movie, but there would be no point. Is there a way to output both files into a single Flash file with the player skin embedded into the Flash movie? I have the full Adobe Master Suite CS4, is it possible another program could be used for that purpose or is this an impossibility? Any information you could provide would be appreciated...thanks...

  • Flash player skins in Dreamweaver: progress/buffer indication

Hi, I posted this in the DreamWeaver section but they said to check with the experts here in the Flash forum.
I have some flash .FLV videos that I've posted to a clients website using the built-in Flash skins (Halo is what I'm using).  My client would like to be able to see a moving buffer of how much video has downloaded so the viewers will know when the video is about to clip.  Standard stuff but not sure if the built-in flash player for DW has that option.  Can anyone tell me if it does or not?  What would be the best way to get a buffer indicator (not pre-loader) into a flash player if not?
    I'm using CS4 everything for OSX 10.6.2
    Thanks.

Do you know where I can find a list of parameters for the Flash skins used in Dreamweaver?  Maybe it's just a matter of changing the color of the play bar to distinguish the progress.
I've attached a screen shot to show what I'm seeing.

  • Need Assistance with Flash Player Skin

I want to use the better looking skins under the Project
heading rather than the three skins that are the default skins in
the initial player selection. When I select one called glass, it
and the one of the mandatory skins both show up in the player
window when viewed from the htm file.
    How can this be avoided?

    Hi jkb242
While I am certainly no speaking for anyone else here, I'm a
bit confused by what you are referring to. Particularly where you
    say:
it and the one of the mandatory skins both show up in the player
window when viewed from the htm file. .
I'm assuming here you are saying you clicked the Project menu
followed by Skin... and you have selected the "Glass" skin from the
Skin Editor dialog. But I'm totally lost by what you mean when you
    say
When I select one called glass, it and the one of the mandatory
skins both show up in the player window when viewed from the htm
    file..
By chance can you either post a link to the output file so we
can see first hand? Or at least a screen capture image of what it
    is you are seeing?
    Cheers... Rick

  • 10.6.4 and Flash Player.

The 10.6.4 update for Mac OS X includes Flash Player, but not the latest version.
The newest edition of Flash Player is 10.1.53.64 and you can download it from the official Adobe site.

This would be a good user tip. I would construct it as a FAQ:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=632
And post a followup when you are ready saying it is ready for consideration.
Someone needing the latest Flash may find it useful.
