Editing a group member without ungrouping and destroying its builds?

Hello,
I've got a presentation slide containing multiple groups where I have a build on each group. What I'm trying to do is to figure out how to edit one of the group members (move, resize, rotate, etc.) without "ungrouping" the group. Ungrouping the group has the side effect of deleting all builds on that group, which can be extremely painful.
Does anyone know how to edit a member of a group without ungrouping it?

At the present time, Keynote does not offer a way to change a item within a Group (the only exception is that you can edit text within a a text block) without first ungrouping and, hence, losing the Builds you have created. Yes, this is a drag!
You might want to send this as a suggestion to the official Apple Keynote Feedback Forum as a recommendation for future feature improvement.

What if my SWF loads external content from an online server?
Not only does the current flash player prohibit such activity, it doesn't even pop open an error anymore saying there was an error connecting to an online source.
Normally, I would simply drag the SWF into Flash and all connections would go through. I could see traces, errors, and experience no issues.
Now I can't even do that. So what then? You have crippled a fundamental use of the program, but THANK GOD we have that deco brush that nobody asked for.
And for the record, the nature of my work benefits from not necessarily allowing the Flash Player to connect to online content. The error it pops up? That's simply another method of error checking that I require. Updating the Flash Player options is not an option.
Why would you even remove this key feature from Flash anyways? It's been there for years ... has the ratio of people importing SWFs (a rather useless gesture in an increasing OOP world) really outweighed the people using Flash as a testing environment that much?

Target Group Member List Display and Output to Excel

Hi all,
I am using CRM 2007. On the Web Client I want to output to excel a target group with 7000 accounts. I have 2 users. One User when the target group is selected can see all the details of all 7000 in the target group members list and when exported to excel all 7000 accounts are listed in the excel file.
With the second user when the target group is selected only the details of 100 accounts are visible in the target group members list and when exported to excel only 100 of the accounts are output.
The 2 users have the same roles and parameters and the personalize icon next to the excel export button also have the same settings.
Does anyone know where the setting is that will allow the second user to output all 7000 on the list?
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jonathan,
Open a Profile Set with user2.
Push button "Graphical Modeler".
When the modeler is loaded , Press button "Settings".
On the upcoming popup, you can change the number of members that are loaded to the Target Group Member list in the WebUI in the field "Number of Members Displayed".
Most probably, this field is empty for your second user, so the default of 100 is used.
Note that a maximum of 9999 members can be loaded to the list in the UI. For bigger Target Groups, you must export the list to the application server using the "Export to File" button on the Target Group WebUI page.

My formula is as follows:{@Full Name} & ' - ' & {table.EMPLOYEE NO}and in the group tree you will see it asjohn,smith - 140,742.00 but I want to display it as follows:john,smith - 140742, and I am using crystal XI Please anybody suggest how to achieve that.Thanks in advance

In the future, sync the device and transfer purchases more regularly.

Hide rest of graphic while editing a group

how can i hide the rest of the drawing when i edit an GROUP by double clicking and gettig inside it

This is sort of a tough one it depends on what you mean by hide and why.
For instance if you double click the group on the canvas you will enter Group Isolation mode which will grayout all other objects on all layers and only the group is editable unless you click away from the on an empty part of the canvas, which is one way to exit isolation mode.
The other way is the select the group and then Object>Hide>Other Layers but art on the same layer will remain visible and you will either have to enter isolation mode anyway or manually turn off the visibilty in the layers panel and when you want everything to show and you use the command from the Layers flyout to show others the hidden object on the same layer has to be manually turned back on.
So Isolation mode or perhaps a script would be the best and easiset way.
It would be a good addition to isolation mode to have third click to trun the visibility entrely off. But not an essential feature sio it will probaly never be.

Can I send a text to a "group" contact without selecting each individual member? I have a group formed in my contacts, but I still have to select each member in that group to send a text or email from my phone.

There are apps that allow you to address sms messages to groups (such as Speed Names: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/speed-names-contacts-groups/id285124918?mt=8), but not iMessages. Perhaps this will change with a future iOS update.
The only point of having them at the moment is to allow you to limit the view to only contacts belonging to a group, so that you can more easily add the individual members of the group. But at the present time, you still have to add them individually.

How to work open the PDF and edit it as appropriate without going online???

Probably sounds simple but trying to find out how I can work 'offline' without having to sign into the saved PDF document. What I want to do is the following:
1. When I send my PDF document to a client and they want to amend the PDF version. How can they open the document then edit it as appropriate without having to go online?????

Your client would need to sign in atleast once at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" or Adobe Reader to get the file.
Once the client downloads and saves the file, he can go offline and then make changes in the PDF by using Acrobat (not Reader).

The flaw is here:
corporate edition
...which essentially means it's most likely a volume license and thus not transferable in the first place. The rest is as Steve said - buying software on eBay is risky even on the best of days.

Multicam editing without timecode and audio?

Hello!
I am editing a multi-cam interview with the unfortunate issue of 1. having no audio recorded from the secondary camera, and 2. the camera operators did not sync timecode or set the right time/date (DSLRs) and appear to have started/stopped rolling at different times, breaking up the interview into short clips...so I've been trying to figure out, what is the best way to go about this?? Is it possible to use the multi-cam edit without audio, and if so how do I get around it being broken into small clips that don't quite match?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Having the date, time and time zone set on your recording devices before the shoot is helpful for FCPX to create multicam clips automatically. Normally, you can sync automatically using the audio in your clips. However, since you don’t have that option in this case, you can just sync from the start of each clip and then enter the multicam editor and manually line up the angles.

Bulk Edit for Metadata Group, Field, Lookup, Responses and Subscriptions

Hello,
Has anyone been able to bulk edit custom configurations in FCSrv Administration window (of course not IN administration window, but as it was editing there).
In other words: Let say that I have a custom configuration of Metadata Groups, Fields, Lookups, Subscriptions and Responses and I want to implement that in lots of FCSrv systems.
Another situation: I`ll upgrade my hardware and want to re-install FCSrv but I don`t want to loose all my configurations.
I`ll have to manually input each configuration? It`s possible to update just a file(s)?
I know that the backup from FCsvr does this, but its used for DB Backup and not Preferences. I do not want to restore or backup the DB.
Replacing this files (or some of them): com.apple.FinalCutServer.profile.plist and postgresql.conf do the trick?

As is usual with the world of programing the answer turned out to be ridiculously simple! In the Elements.xml file for the button the javascript that launches the dialog with SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog was always using the top level site to get the
custom ASPX page. Doh! Adding the _spPageContextInfo.webServerRelativeUrl in front of the path to my custom ASPX page did the trick. None of this was noticeable to me since the code was loading fine in debugger and I could see that it had the correct SPWeb
because I was passing in the webURL as a parameter in the URL for opening the dialog. But when the ASPX was loaded I just got the labels.

Forgive the following, as you may consider it off-topic and a bit of a rant. There is no LastLogonDate attribute in AD. Just as there is no FirstName, LastName, or EmailAddress attribute (and lots of other things exposed by PowerShell). I have
been searching for documentation on these "properties" and have found little yet. I believe these are what I would call property methods. They are methods that calculate values based on actual AD attributes. For example, the AccountExpirationDate property
method converts the accountExpires attribute (a large integer) into the equivalent date in the local time zone. In that case, a lot of code must be involved and it is very useful. Some cases are easy to understand. The FirstName "property" exposed by the DirectoryEntry
class is clearly the value of the givenName attribute. The LastName property method displays the value of the sn attribute. But I cannot find documentation on what LastLogonDate is. By testing I conclude that it is the value of the lastLogonTimeStamp
attribute converted into a date. In the interests of being "user friendly", Microsoft has obscured things so nobody knows whats going on. New admins will think users are identified by "Name", and they have FirstName and LastName attributes. If I
am correct that the LastLogonDate property method is the date equivalent of the lastLogonTimeStamp attribute (a large integer), then it will be accurate to within 14 days (in most cases). Assuming Windows 2003 functional level or above, the value of the lastLogonTimeStamp
is updated during logon only if the old value is more than 14 days in the past, then the new value is replicated to all other DC's. If instead LastLogonDate is based on the lastLogon attribute, then it is undoubtedly the value on only one DC. The
lastLogon attribute is always updated during logon, but only on the DC that authenticates the user, and the value is not replicated.
If someone has seen documentation on LastLogonDate as exposed by Get-ADUser, could you supply a link?

The code is in error. There is no LastLogonDate.
This works:
