Editing a web form

I have created an html form in Dreamweaver8 that the viewer
can complete and submit. When the viewer clicks on the submit
button, the form is sent to my email. Right now it comes to me as a
multi-line item (ie - first name on line one, last name on line 2).
My question - Is there any way to receive the completed form
in the same format as what I see when I view the web page?

Unable to edit a web based form

I have an account with A Weber and want to edit a web form in Firefox but am unable to as the text editer will not display in Firefox, I contacted A Weber support and they said try a different browser and I did and this works but it does not work in Firefox yet all my cookies and settings are like they should be is there a fix for this, I have Windows XP

Hello Simon,
this problem could probably be caused by a Firefox extension.
To make sure that no extension is causing the problems,
start Firefox in Safe Mode by following the instructions in the [[Safe Mode]] article.

Customizing web form

Hi, is it possible to edit my web form auto responder email to like this:
There are 4 questions in my web form, and customers fill in 2 of the 4 questions, then in the email, it shows only the 2 questions and answers that they filled in.

This is not possible to achieve as there are no further parameters to {tag_webformresults}. Hence the system email sent cannot be modified using any javascript code for the information captured via form submission.
You can submit a ticket so the support can pass on this as a feature request on your behalf.

My credit card processing in my web form isn't working!

In the credit card processing section of my web form, the credit card expiration date ranges on my live page are 2007-2015. I have customers complaining because their cards expire in 2016 and they can't purchase our products. When I go into business catalyst to edit the web form, the credit card expiration date ranges are 2009 - 2020. In BC the date ranges say one thing but they won't translate onto the live page. Please help!

With the web form, are you editing/looking it within the Web Forms section or in the Registration - Buy layout withing the Online Shops Module Layouts? A little more info would help on getting this resolved for you.

ProcessPCR_1 (WS50000041) : Web form in edit mode to the approver ?

Hi,
I am working on ProcessPCR_1 (WS50000041)
This template depicts a one-step approval process. When you send the request, it goes
to an approver for approval,There is a web form used for processing the &#56256;&#56443; Request Special Payment.
Now the challenge is the web form should be editable mode to the approver (Currently it is in non editable mode ). Ex. He should have the paychange field in editable mode.
How can i acheive this?

I am working on ISR scenario only. Except the CHANGE MODE in the apporoval other things are working fine. Am i really missing any configuration.
The following are the steps i have done.
1.I have configured the single level approval workflow ws50000041 @ V_SCENARIOXMPO and acivated the workflow.
2. In the container &DISPLAYMODE& i am passing the CHANGE .
The approver able to view the form and give his comments @ the comment column. But not able to change the PAY which was created by the initiator.
My requirement is the approver need to change the PAY.

Web Form Cancel Edit button changes value of List View item when clicked

I have a web form, I shows 3 buttons, Edit, Save, And cancel. When the user presses the edit button it enables editing. When the user makes an edit and presses the save button it saves the changes. When the user presses the cancel button, it does cancel
the edit ok but it changes the vale in the left list view to a different value. For instance my left list view has a list of vendor names. When I click cancel, the vendor name shown for the selected record, changes to the vendor number. I
have experimented with different values to show in the list view, I have turned off sorting, etc. No matter what everytime I click cancel button it changes the vendor name to the vendor number.
Even stranger is when I scroll the list up and the item that changed is move out of view and then you scroll back down to put it in view it puts the value back to the vendor name.
This isn't consistent as I have created some forms where it doesn't do this.
Also when I create a new list view, does anyone know how to get it into the tile pane . the only way to get anything in that list appears to be that I have to create a whole new table.

How do I access my Web Form Keychain password?

Hello!
I lost the original email containing my password from a web site months ago and need to access the password in the Keychain WEB FORM file.
I dont' need to CHANGE it, I need to see the old one so I can log into the web site again since they changed the site, and the login page is now different with a new URL etc....so the autofill doesn't work.
I'm in Keychain access and I see the event but how do I edit the form so I can see my password?
It's my computer, this shouldn't be so hard to do.

I jsut found out how to do it.
When I double clicked on the Keychain item, there was a checkbox I didn't see before " show password" I clicked it then entered my system password then it showed it.

I have imported a PDF form (created in adobe acrobat XI pro) into FormsCentral. I now want to convert this document into a web form so I can embed it into my website. HOW DO I DO THIS?

I took a word document I had created and added fields to it in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I then imported the PDF in Forms Central and now I am stuck. All I am able to do with it in FormsCentral is add a submit button. It will not allow me to edit the document in FormsCentral. What I ultimately need to do is get this converted to a web form so that I can embed it into our company website. Additionally, once it's converted, I need to add an option for the user to attach their resume with the file before submitting. I have looked all over the web and I cannot find an answer as to whether or not I can convert PDFs to web forms in FormsCentral. This will ultimately determine whether or not the company decides to purchase these programs after the trial version has ended in a few days.

I tried that first, but FormsCentral does not have the capability to create tables. The form I need to create is more advanced than what FormsCentral allows. Do you know if there is a way to create or somehow import a table when creating a web based form on FormsCentral?

Time to open Web forms too long for the first connexion !!

When we first open a web form in the day, the time to open it, is greater than 10 minuts ( the CPU time used to retrieve the webform is measured at about 20 seconds)
When we do open the webform a second time it takes about 20 seconds to open it!!
Have someone meet this case?
What do we have to change in order to enhance the openning duration of the webforms?

Does it take 10 minutes to open on the server, if it takes 10 minutes on the server and only 20 seconds of that is CPU processing then are you saying for over 9 minutes it is rendering the form in your browser, you can check the browser process on the machine.
If you do want to check or increase the maximum heap size then have a read of :- Re: Heap sizes with Planning11.1.1.3 & Weblogic help
I would also check how much memory the JVM is using when opening the form, you can check using task manager on the server or better still use something like process explorer.

Unable to close web form.

Here is a typical 11g forms development session for me.
1. Create/modify a form using Forms builder on my PC.
2. Transfer the form to the Solaris box.
3. Compile the form.
4. Open the form on my web browser.
5. With the form still open, repeat steps 1-4.
I have done it this way for years using 10g but 11g frequently freezes the form displayed on the web.
I have to kill the browser and start all over.
If I close the form on the web first, there is rarely a problem.
Also, when a newly compiled form is run on the web for the first time, the canvas colors are all white !
I can close and re-open the form with no other side effects.
Do you think this may be a Java setting issue or what ?

Curious; I have always not done it this way! :) In my experience, and I've been working Oracle Forms for a lot of years, I have found that it is a "Best Practise" to always close an instance of a Forms Runtime rather than try to refresh a newly compiled version of a Form in the Forms Runtime instance. In cases where you don't do this, your browser session typically dies (4 out of 5 times) and you have to kill the browser session completely and start over. I've followed this method since my early days developing with Forms 4.5. In the rare instances where your Forms session doesn't freeze - often times the browser simply displays the same edition of the Form and not the new compiled edition.
Do you think this may be a Java setting issue or what ?No, I think it is simply a case of the Object is already in use and trying to refresh the instance of the object with a newly compiled Form locks the object rather than refreshes the object. This was true with the old client installed Forms Runtime and I have found this to be true with the new Web Forms Runtime.
All of this is based on my personal observation and experience, so this is just my opinion. Perhaps someone from Oracle (like Michael Ferrante) could elaborate on this. :)

NetRetryCount and netRetryInterval error in Hyperion Planning web form

User is getting this error when trying to save data on a web form. The error happens intermittenly and on different forms. It is difficult to pinpont the problem, as it does not happen consistently on the same form and as the administrator, I have never been able to replcate if on my computer and under the admin role. It actually causes the Hyperion Planning service to crash and we have to restart the service. The most recent time this occurred there was a rule that was running on save. We have removed the run on save for now. Does anyone know what setting need to be adjusted to eliminate this error?

You can probably try changing the value for netRetryCount and netRetryInterval in Essbase.cfg. Consider changing NetDelay too.
Essbase.cfg file is loacted in:
$HYPERION_HOME/products/Essbase/EssbaseServer/bin/Essbase.cfg

Composite Web form - Issue with Ordering of dimensions in page section

Hi,
I have 2 simple web-forms having same dimensions in page section and in same order. When I create the compisite web form with these 2 simple webforms and view the same, it come in different order.
Is there any way to get the dimensions in required order / or any solution to this.

CSS does't work for new Web Form wpc_mini_article

I created a new web form following [this guide|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2041eb17-6001-2b10-b08d-b95ce55fa9b7], which works pretty good. The problem is that I personalized the sdn_general.css file but none of the definitions made in that css file works in the content using the new web form, called wpc_mini_article.
I guess there must be something else to configure, but where?

Hi,
You can modify the Content.css. Be sure to modify the right anchor, such as h2 for exemple....
Exemple : modifying the style of every H2 included in a <a> :
h2 a
Content.css is located on : Content Administration > KM Content, then the path is : root > etc > wpceditor > css > runtime > content.css
You have to save it on a local directory, edit it, delete it on KM and then upload the modifyied content.css you just made.

I am rather disappointed .....as I need to distribute my form urgently with a table insertion capability.
I had purchased Adobe webform central subscription with the idea that a paid subscription will fetch me the full editing capability of the Adobe form central web forms.
Please inform me as to when this vital update regarding the table insertion/ multiple cells insertion in a single row capability (update) will be functional and available for our use as today is 26th of January, 2013.

Can I customise the HTML code in an eCommerce online purchase web form?

The Adora template lets me customise the html code but then after saving the form it reverts back to the default. Can anybody tell me if I can customise this form or find where the form placeholder/HTML is located so that I can try and insert the html directly.

Hi Brendon. Although the form is a custom web form the actual form you view is under the Registration Buy layout of eCommerce layouts.
You need to copy the html you edit from the customise web form part of the form and paste it into that Registration Buy Layout too.
