Editing an unsaved phone no. on Iphone 4 before dialing.
You enter a phone number on your iphone4 and after entering the 9th digit you realize that the 2nd digit should have been 6 instead of 7. Do have to use the erase key to correct the incorrect digit entered? Can't one jst tap to correct the digit? Eg. 774 - 567 - 4444. You have typed till the third 4 and you realize that the second digit (7) should have been 6. The way I do it now is use the erase key, delete all the digits i've entered till I reach 7 and edit it. Then start entering the deleted digits all over again. On other fons you can just tap, and the cursor starts blinking at the point whr you tapped and that's it.
It is most likely the tower, yes, so I would talk to your carrier. One other thing to try is go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, then reboot the phone.

Press the talk button > then the blackberry button > go to options > smart dailing > look for the option to dail 1 for national dailing and turn it off.

Hi. I have recently finished with an emplyer and have backed up my phone and when i go to restore the back up to another phone it is asking me to turn off the "find my iphone" before the restore can start. Pronlem is im no longer in possesion of this phone and can not turn it off.
Any assistance would be greatIt's not referring to your old phone, it's referreing to the one you're trying to restore to. Where did you get the phone you're trying to restore the backup to?

my phone is disabled because the language got changed and I kept trying to unlock it. It tells me to connect to itunes but then itunes tells me that I have to insert the password on my iphone before proceeding. I am unable to type in the password. Help!!

Hi If you have them on your PC, just copy them and you will need to enter, each one on Android phone by typing, them in. Cheers Brian

Anyway to disable Smart Dialing and add Edit before dial in phone dialer
Is there any way to disable Smart Dialing in OS 10.2, my old BB with OS 7 can set the country code to "null"
The feature is annoying as in Greater China, we have have 1 sim card with 4 nnumber for HK, China, Taiwan and Macau all with different country code. The smart dialer alway add the country code to the phone number and call dial unsucessful.
Also in old OS 7 it allow edit before dial, but in OS10.2 I can never edit a phone number after paste in phone dialer, since here we always need to change country code, area code, add a "+" etcI would suggest what you mentioned as blackberry can support multiple numbers in one contact, so you would only have one contact for say John Smith... but a contact for in country and out of country. Aside from that, I dont believe there has been an app developed for this specific issue.

Never once has my phone updated without deleting everything. It says "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. I can't call for help because my phone is frozen on the screen with iTunes. On line live chat won't chat until I give them my serial number which I can't get to because its frozen and can't call for the same reason!! Omg! Someone please help me!?

Where, exactly did you get this phone? If it's already in a state where it says it must be restored, you don't have a choice. If the phone was hacked, it will be re-locked to the network it was originally locked to. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can legitimately authorize unlocking the phone. -
I have recently sold my iphone and the new owner says he needs my id and password to use it.i reset the phone to factory settings before i sold it but wanted to know if he could run up a bill even though i no longer have an account with my phone provider?
You did not follow the proper procedure when selling the phone before resetting it to factory settings. You must help the new owner deactivate the Activation Lock or else he will have the same issue over and over when he upgrades the software or sells it to someone else.

You have to restore the iPod, no ifs, ands, or buts...
After iOS is installed you will be asked if you what to set it up as a new iPod or if you want to restore from a backup.
If you have a good backup you can restore that and you're good to go.
If you don't have a good backup, then you end up with a "clean" iPod.... -
i bought this i phone from my cousin and it was with telus. they unlocked it. i came home and did a restore on the phone. i put a virgin mobile sim card in it and now can only recieve phone calls and call out. no messaging or data or anything else. I have done two restores since and removed my sim card. reset network settings and am running out of patience. the phone worked absolutly fine before upgarding to the new 6ios. please help me.
To be honest not being able to send or recieve messages and data is a carrier issue, not a phone issue since u said that your calls are working, if i were you my first course of action would be to get a new sim card from virgin mobile, or to restore the device as new one more time, if you restore the device as new AND get a new sim card from your carrier and those features still dont work, i would take the device to an apple store

I am trying to use Itunes to move my data from my iphone 4s that was backed up on my Macbook Pro. I keep getting an error code backing up from ITunes to new Iphone 5s:iTunes could not back up the iPhone “Karen’s iPhone” because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be backed up. On the Iphone it keeps telling me to add another network. I have put our home network on the Iphone. When I put the passcode in the phone does not give me enough time to put my Apple ID password in and it shuts off. Help!

3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
