Editing and Linking Songs
1) Sometimes I would like to have two or more songs ALWAYS playing one after another, even when I have iTunes or the iPod in Shuffle mode. For instance, in many cases a group, in their live performances play one song which leads into another one, but on the CD they are listed as separate tracks. I find it strange to hear one of those selections separate from the other. Can I set it up in my iTunes library and iPod so that the two songs always play sequentially?
2) In many live albums, songs are preceded or followed by lengthy comments by the artist. Is there a way to edit out those comments in my library so that I hear only the songs?
There may already be a way to do these things, but I haven't found them as yet. If so, I would appreciate your help with this.

You would have to re-import the cd again into iTunes using the advanced/join cd tracks feature.
Highlight the tracks you want to combine as one.

Right click on a song, select get info/options, then edit the start and end times.

I pre ordered a album and got songs then it came out so itunes sent me a confirmation and it said to go to available downloads and gave link so I did and it did nothing for me and when I went to the album I wanted it said it was purchased so how do I get my music and don't even see available downloads in the iTunes Store

Is Acrobat Pro right for us. We have an Employee Handbook that needs editing. Some is current pdf, some from an older version. Want to get all into one handbook, have the table of contents automatically adjust and link to specific pages from the ToC.
You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

i think my question is in the header but i have this dream of taking a string of tracks(songs) and having them synched in a way that I can bring in a kick of one while my synth line from the last is still running- like spinning records but this sounds like a dream because that means two songs would have to be up at once and not only that but timed to be playing at once (all tracks connected to external controllers too) and the CPU would be crazy. This idea would be for the developers to figure out a way to create a system that allows the host song to fade out as the new one comes in in terms of power and their would have to be a new interface that would link the two. i am an electronic dance music producer and some songs are 8 minutes long with some of the tracks as composition piano styles that is hard to loop up and put inside a system like ableton to trigger and the accompanying string lines that are timed against the pianos so was just looking for a way to embed from track to track... any thoughts out there- i am now switching over to studio from pro for 4 years so maybe it's already done but for some reason - i think not. Hope my question is not too silly for the serious pro's out there.
Also, maybe logic should have an appendage platform to each individual track that has a pop and play interface to it that allows people to easily trigger and play each song live. Each song has a live version that has a brighter easier platform to see at night shows and it is still embedded within the original track-- then these appendage live songs can then be linked together. This appendage could be called LOGIC LIVE tracks.I almost forgot that using folders can allow each folder to contain a song. I also recall touch tracks or one key play...

Form report with both edit and column link
hi experts,
How can we create form report with both edit and column link. Ie, the form should have both the Edit link and column link. When we click on the edit link(in page1) it should go for the page2 and the page2 should display the corresponding row fields which should be editable. but when i click the column link it should bring me to the next page but the corresponding values of the column should not be editable.

Issues with editing in Acrobat 5 with Form and link tool
In my version of Acrobat 5, I used to be able to edit with the form and link tools. Now for example if I try to add an action in the execute menu item in the Field Properties (Form tool or Link mode), it brings up a splash window saying 'Please select the menu item you want to execute from the menu bar' and that is it, It does not bring up a list so I can not add an executable item.

Any ideas, as it is really frustrating.Ok... so I have created a file in InDesign and exported it as a .pdf to create an interative document.
I am trying to add next page from page 1 and so on, and also hyperlinks to e-mail addresses.
I create a box by dragging using Form Tool (F) whereby Field properties window pops up.
I Name the item and choose what type of button I require, and modify the settings in Appearance.
When I then go to choose an Action... I choose mouse up, then Add... which brings up the Add an Action window.
I choose 'Execute Menu Item' from the drop down list and then try to 'Edit Menu Item' this brings up a further window 'Menu Item' with the message "Please select the menu item you want to execute from the menu bar" and here I try to choose the type of item I need to execute.
I have tried clicking on the item on the menu bar, but it makes a faint sound when I click with my mouse... but no no item is executed.
I have done this before with previous documents, but not for a while... but it does not seem to want to do it this time around.
However, I can execute the following in the same window 'Edit Menu Item'
Import Form Data
JavaScript
Movie
Open File
Read Article
Reset Form
Show/Hide Field
Sound
Submit Form
World Wide Web Link

The iTunes-only way is: figure out where you want your excerpt to begin and end. Right-click the track, Get Info, Options tab, set the Start/Stop times accordingly, and OK out. Right-click again, and choose Create XXX version (where XXX is the format indicated in your Import settings). Right-click one more time, and unset the Start/Stop times.
This procedure will leave the full track in place, and will create a new file and library entry with just your excerpt. -
HTML Code for Smart Link Edit and Logout items
I am using an HTML template and would like to include the Smart Link Edit and Logout items in a TABLE. How do I do this?
Is there a way to get the code for these Smart Links (ORACLE tags) and include them?According to Oracle Metalink "Note:368720.1 - When ILS is Enabled the Edit Smartlink is visible to Users that are not entitled to see it", that is the expected behavior whether you are using the "edit" substitution tags or the "edit" smartlink on a page when the page has item-level access enabled. I don't like it but I can understand why that is the behavior since an end user may have access to manage/edit just one item on a page or just one tabbed region on a page and they need a way to put the page into edit mode in order to edit their item(s). If a user has nothing to edit on a page, then they won't be able to do anything in edit mode anyway.
On the employee portal I work on, there is the possibility that every page may have a different set of users/groups that need to edit items/regions on the page AND the edit smartlink is published on the portal page template so basically, all employees can see the Edit link but if they click on it, only those employees that have items/regions to edit/manage will be able to really do anything while in edit mode.
However, on the customer portal I work on, there is only one group that manages content site-wide so I was able to publish the Edit smartlink on the portal page template and change its access to the one group that manages content so they're the only ones that can see the Edit link on every page.
The substitution tags for Logout are #PORTAL.LOGOUT.URL# and #PORTAL.LOGOUT.LABEL# (I use those so I can control the html & css) or just #PORTAL.LOGOUT# (which does both the label and url). The list of all substitution tags is available in Oracle Application Server Portal Help. -
Editing and Mixing downloaded songs...
Hi. I am trying to edit and mix two songs that I downloaded off of itunes. I have attempted to import it into garageband by making the song's souce an .band source as opposed to the .aac source it was in previously. However, after reformatting the songs, garageband will not let me import the songs. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Welcome to Discussions.
The songs from iTunes, AAC and MP3 are encoded, there is no way to use these (as they are) to mix in Garageband. Maybe I'm wrong.
But I think iMovie is excellent for this.
You could try re-posting in the garageband forum. They'll know 1000x more than I do. -
lost songs from ipod (which I purshased from Itunes from the IPOD) didn't back up to PC itunes and my wife restaged my sons ipod and the songs gone-Apple itunes gave me a link to relaod however they are showing light grey on the ipod (marked in lt grey)
I have the same problem!! only thing is that i have the ipod touch 5th generation and a mac. I've been trying to find a way to get all my music to play cuz it will only play on itunes but when i try to play it on my ipod it'll just show a circle with a red square in the middle next to the songs i cant play.

Edit and Continue does not work for VB Linked Files

RegardsFilSkyThe main reason for using a linked file is for sharing. With that said your best option is to create a class project and place that file into the class project and reference this class project in any project that requires the code. One caveat, if the shared
file is a code module add Public in front of Module, otherwise it will not be visible outside of the class project.
So for a code module we start with
Module Module1

End Module
Add Public
Public Module Module1
' Your code is here
End Module

I'm sorry to be so incredibly dense. The article to which you linked says:
"If the computer is already authorized, the item plays. If the computer has not yet been authorized, iTunes asks you to enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the song."
I can play songs from my husband's library. I can't drag them into my library.
If deauthorizing/authorizing is the solution, who needs to do what? We've got three computers and two iTunes accounts. -
Question regarding image and links tag
Hi. Im new to podcasting and have just had my first podcast excepted on itunes.

What i dont understand is adding an cd cover image and links to a web site.
I asume its sumular to html, where you type the code with link or image, but where? I cant edit within the above link!
Please help.The "code" for images and links goes into the xml file.

What adobe program can open, edit and save eps vector files?
I have an engraver that accepts only eps vector drawings. I need a program that can open zipped eps files so I can view, edit and print those drawings. I need to leave them as eps drawings to use with my machine.
